Bad company

They lie and tell you what you want to here . They told me I would NOT have an electric bill and it would cost this much a month. Well I still have an electric bill and the price per month was a lot higher than they said with a ballon payment too . I have talked to the ceo of the company and many other people in charge there and there answers were we will put that in our training. I have one email where I asked about the price and no electric bill and his reply was that’s correct. But all the other times he would call me on the telephone and lie about production and price .

Response from Sigora Home (Out of Business)

Hi Ernie, we're sorry to hear your experience with us wasn't as you thought it would be. Our contracts never guarantee customers will have a zero dollar utility bill, as we can't control what fees different utilities charge for service. We have reviewed your utility bills and see a decrease in your usage and overall cost due to the solar system you've installed. We've completed your production guarantee review and you've met the estimated production we quoted you during your contract signing. We'd love to go into this more thoroughly with you if you're interested. Please reach out to us at 434-465-6192.

Disappointed Customer

Poor customer service

Panels are very noisy when its windy and don't seem to be secured well. Seems like a safety hazard. Asked them to come back and complete the installation and they demanded $350 in advance. Sounds like a shakedown scam. Sigora is totally unreliable.

Avoid - They are extremely unprofessional

We met with the sales rep on August 19th, let me just say he was wonderful to work with. We were excited to start the journey to moving to solar. He was wonderful at the pitch, he really sold the company and everything they offer. We were told our project should have been completed by the beginning of December. That is when things go south, once it is out of the sales reps hands, it is far from what we were promised or made out to believe. We had our solar panels installed and then the Sigora team continued to demonstrate their lack of effort for resolving anything that they needed to resolve. Everything from ensuring the permits were taken care of to scheduling inspections. They stood up the county inspectors TWICE! I have video recordings of the county inspector and I have conversations waiting for Sigora to show, they never did. We then reached back out to Sigora because it had been over a week with hearing anything, they said the county inspector never showed. Why the negligence and lack of honesty? I literally talked to the gentleman myself, I have video proof he was at my house and Sigora never showed. They finally see it fits for them to ask out county inspector to return a 3RD TIME! We get that completed, next step waiting for South River EMC to switch what they needed. Almost a month passes, we have yet to hear anything yet we are being charged for something that is not active. We reach out to South River, at this point they had no clue that we were in the process of switching to Solar, because SIGORA made zero effort to contact them, after they said they had. South River EMC was amazed at the lack of communication Sigora had made, sharing they had made zero contact with them. We then reached back out to Sigora to see what we needed to do, find out they only needed to send a form. WHY AM I DOING YOUR JOB? The excuses have ranged from negligence, to they underwent a major database change, team constructing, and scheduling issues. How am I the customer responsible for the lack of communication, responsibility, ownership, and accountability this company has, I am not. There are so many things that should have been taken care such as the insurance company (as they said), "Free" Energy Efficiency Updates, etc. We are highly disappointed with this company. Please avoid if you want to save yourself a headache with trying to made the switch to solar. We will be moving forward with BBB and NC Attorney Generals complaints.

Response from Sigora Home (Out of Business)

Hi Ruth, we understand your frustration in the lack of communication that has occurred in previous weeks. Unfortunately this was due to some breakdowns in process protocol we have identified that, while not an excuse for what previously occurred, is certainly not reflective of Sigora's standards for operating our business. We have since done everything we can to rectify those issues internally and are actively working to reimburse you for January's panel payment. Luckily, as mentioned in your communications with us this past week, your system was fully operational during the timeframe in question and your home was able to successfully consume the electricity your system produced. We have an assigned Escalations Specialist doing everything we can to ensure your home is taken care of and will be here to support you moving forward. We appreciate your patience during this process and encourage you to reach out to your Escalations Specialist directly going forward to assist you with everything you need.

Do more research

Sigora was one of the first solar companies that came up in my search. The sales person was great and I ordered 30 panels. Installation was okay. Now a year later, 2 panels don't work and 2 have low output. Servicing is awful! Multiple calls, few call backs and 6 months since it started NO ONE has come to even look at the panels. I don't enjoy paying for broken equipment. Do your research and find a solar company that will mantaince their equipment like they say they will.

research

I thought I had gone with a good company after doing my research. System worked great for a couple of years. Inverter has gone bad now I can not get anyone at segora to talk to me. No one answers the phone and have yet to have someone call me back. Solaredge the monitoring company can not send a replacement inverter until Segora confirms the address. If it is this hard to get someone to confirm an address, how in the hell will I ever get a body to come replace the inverter if it ever comes. My sytems has been out of service since June 19th, here it is August 19th. Knowing all this! I would NEVER have gone with Segora. HOW HARD is it to confirm an address! Would not recommend this company anymore.

Response from Sigora Home (Out of Business)

Hi Bill, your feedback is appreciated. Our records show your inverter was fixed on 8/26 following your initial complaint. There appears to have been some database issues right around that time, which could be why there were challenges leading up to your service date. For this breakdown in protocol, we sincerely apologize and it is in no way a reflection of our standards for operating our business. We strongly encourage that you reach out to TechnicalSupport@sigorasolar.com directly moving forward should any other issues with your system arise.

Terrible - Nonresponsive - No longer operate in NC

Don't be fooled by good reviews during installation. If you need service, forget about it! They are 100% unresponsive and they don't even operate in NC despite selling here! They provide NO service or Warranty work in NC. Your Warranty is essentially useless.

Response from Sigora Home (Out of Business)

Hi Lora, we're sorry to hear you are frustrated with some miscommunication that may have occurred with your project. When you spoke to our Customer Experience Manager with your initial complaint, it was discovered that your emails were being sent to a former employee who no longer works here. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, and we have done our best resolve your problem as soon as possible once it was brought to our attention. Per our previous communications with you, our team has since confirmed internally that your roof work has been completed and your panels have been successfully reinstalled. We have attempted to contact you to discuss your project in further detail. To clear up any additional confusion, Sigora does in fact have fully functional operations in North Carolina, and the crew that has been visiting your home has been dispatched from our warehouse in Raleigh. Please reach out to the RPS Team directly at 434-465-6192 should you have any questions, comments or concerns about your project moving forward.

Too expensive

After going back and doing some re-calculating on costs etc for Sigora vs other brands we should NOT have chosen sigora. If I was you I’d find other companies that are more affordable
