Sierra Pacific Solar

Had to wait over three weeks for appointment. I was prepared for a long wait. Repair man came without the proper equipment. He said he would put me on the priority list. Waited four days for date. Advised by company they would schedule me over a week out. Repair man never scheduled appointment. Really disorganized company!

I PAY $19.95 PER MONTH- YEAR ROUND- I HAD TO PAY ANOTHER $19.95 FOR THE SERVICE FEE THEN WHEN HE CAME OUT, HE NEVER TOLD ME THAT THE PART FEE WAS GOING TO BE A MINIMUM OF $114. THE TOTAL WAS $133.95 WHEN HE FINISHED IN ABOUT 20 MINUTES, HE SHOWED ME A 1/4 INCHTUBE THAT WAS ABOUT 12 FEET LONG, HE REPLACED (ABOUT $5 TO $8 WORTH). THEN HE SHOWED ME THE BILL - LIKE WHAT??? THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE CALLED GUYS IN THE BIG RED TRUCKS THAT RIP YOU OFF" BESIDES HE WAS LATE BY 2 HOURS. WITH NO PHONE CALL AS I HAD TO CALL THEM TO ASK WHERE HE WAS!!!

I recently had a situation which I felt I was being overlooked and sent to the operations Manger, Trish, WOW was she awesome, solution oriented and truly made me feel that my problem was hers. I've been a dedicated customer with Sierra Pacific for 15 plus years, she truly made me feel that I was a valued customer. I was a crying mess when I called, she made me feel that my problem was her problem too. I can't say enough great things about Trish and all that she did to turn me back into a very appreciative customer. Erik was the lead with six other hard working young men. They were extremely polite and professional. The three day job was finished in two days as they all worked together seamlessly. Last year, Sierra Pacific installed solar panels on our garage to help raise the temperature in our swimming pool. After 18 years without solar, we are enjoying the pool now more than ever. Without question, Sierra Pacific is a terrific company. There's a lot of competition in the home improvement industry and sometimes it is real difficult to find an exceptional company that is honest, stands behind their product, offers a fair price, and maintains a highly trained, competent, and professional work crew. Sierra Pacific, in my experience, ranks at the top in it's field. From the telephone receptionists to the equipment installers, and from the service technicians to management, we have been treated fairly and courteously. Over the last year, we needed some adjustments in our solar panel operation. Sierra Pacific responded quickly and solved the problems. Sierra Pacific knows their business well and repeatedly comes through. One additional note: Jeff Buckley, a design technician, came out to the house earlier this week to address a minor problem with our solar system. He quickly diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and then went beyond what I expected by closely examining the entire system. He was thorough, professional, and very capable. Sierra Pacific is lucky to have him on board. I highly recommend this outstanding company.

Not happy with this company at all. New solar panels leaked every year as soon as we had them installed. Company charges you for service call without notifying you in advance even when its covered on warranty. Never charged for the last 24 years. Always finding reasons why panels leak and trying not to cover on warranty. Be wary!

Everything was clearly explained to me by Tom and I was excited to schedule the installation. All of the necessary measurements and paperwork were quickly completed and the crew installed the solar energy system in less than a day. It was almost immediately up and running. I just received my PG&E bill and my cost for electric was...zero!

From the initial visit to energizing the system, the process was easy and efficient. Solar Pacific did an awesome job!

From the selection and estimation process then to the installation, all went as scheduled. The service staff and techs that come out as scheduled are great and provide a lot advice on how to maintain and keep the system running smoothly.

Had a slight "misunderstanding" with the salesperson, but this was quickly remedied by owner of Sierra Pacific. I'm very impressed with the system they installed and the temperature of my pool is already climbing. Jason, the owner, will take care of any issues if you happen to encounter any. I can recommend this company without reservation! I want to add that I had a leak that was exacerbated by the install, but probably not really related to the install at all. It was leaking near their system, on one of my pool pipes. Although it turned out likely not to be their fault, and although I said I would take care of it myself, they sent out guys right away who fixed this for me at no cost! These guys are obviously serious about getting customers for life and doing an honest business. I am truly impressed! If I go with solar for my home, these guys will be the first ones I call. I will also recommend them to my neighbors and others.

The sales person was very knowledgeable and put together a quote with the best equipment at a fair price. I was very impressed with the installation. They used efficient digging equipment for this ground mount and the installers were quick and professional. They did an excellent job of running the wiring to and thru my house and installed the inverter in my garage exactly where I wanted it. The system is working great and I can't wait to count my savings.

When we started exploring a solar power system for our residence, we looked into Sunrun and several other companies. We decided to explore Sierra Pacific since we were very pleased with their quality of work and professionalism with an HVAC system that they had installed in our previous home. Suffice it to say, we were glad that we had considered Sierra Pacific solar as their prices beat the other competitors and the quality of their work was exceptional. In consulting with other friends who had gone with other solar companies for their homes, we heard nightmares of how their systems were either engineered or designed improperly or the crews were incompetent. This was obviously not the case with Sierra Pacific. We used Sierra Pacific in the past and we are glad that we used them again today. When the time arises for us to replace our HVAC, we will once again go with Sierra Pacific. They are an exceptional company and we have been and will continue to be returning customers.

They showed up on time, and were very professional. On the first day of the install, the lead installer's grandmother died. I know his head wasn't in the game, but rather than leaving early they worked a full day. My only complaint is that the AC shutoff is in a really bad place. I understand why they did it (the circuit breaker and the gas are using up the rest of the wall). I just wish the planning of the power & gas was better, so when things like solar are added, it doesn't look so hokey.

We had a 21 panel, 1 inverter system installed. The project had some challenges, especially that the inverter had to be placed at the opposite side of the house than the main power. This involved going up 2.5 stories and running wire through the attic. Sierra Pacific met every challenge with grace and did a very professional job. I chose them because they were local and yet big enough to stand by their warranty. I am so happy we went with Sierra Pacific and will recommend them to my neighbors and friends.

It took a lot of research and number crunching to decide on adding solar power to our home. Our home is fairly large at over 4000 square feet and we have a pool. Our average electric bill in the summer is $200 to $300 depending on use of the AC. We typically use our whole house fan but there are some afternoons and evenings when you need to use the AC. Feeling that if we added solar, we could use regularly use the AC to cool instead of when it was absolutely necessary. After narrowing down our list of Solar providers we got 5 estimates. All the companies we selected were top rated by Yelp and by local references. Estimates varied by power output and by products represented. I quickly dismissed any estimate that was a simple quick glance at our PG&E bill. I also dismissed an estimate that mapped out our panels with an overlay of Google maps. Our pool solar heating was installed by Sierra Pacific by the original owner of the house. I was impressed by the quality, owner instructions, and effectiveness of the system so I added Sierra Pacific to our list of Solar installers. Our pool panels were installed on the southern exposure of our roof which gets the highest amount of sun. Since we had the pool panels on the southern portion of our roof they took up all the good area. I wanted the most effective area so I asked all the salesman if they could move the pool panels to the west roof. Most of them said they it was not a good idea since they will leak when moved and the western roof plane was fine. When I asked Justin Gordon from Sierra Pacific he said 'yes, we can move them and they won't leak' The relocation price was very reasonable so it was quoted with the Solar panels. Sierra Pacific provided a professional quote with everything I requested. Once we signed on with Sierra Pacific their design crew went to work. Sierra Pacific sent out their Design Engineer to measure and walk the roof. Within 2 days we received the scaled plans and load calculations. All professionally done. The only thing that I had to to was to submit the request to our HOA. Sierra Pacific submitted the plans to the county for the permit. Once approved by the county and HOA, Sierra Pacific scheduled the install. They said it would take 4 days and it took 4 days. The crew relocated the pool solar and installed the panels. Panels were placed on the south and west roof lines. All the power lines were run internally through the attic. The main power line was run down from the roof to the garage - one line only which was brought in through the garage. The electrical conduit was run through the garage to the inverter and all sealed. The inverter was mounted on the inside of the garage on the wall with the main breaker panel. Beautiful installation, not like my next door neighbor's install (note:my neighbor had the solar company that sells inside Home Depot) When the Sierra Pacific crew was done, the Lead Installer walked me through the inverter and disconnects. System has a wireless transmitter mounted on the inverter that communicates with our home WiFi. Sierra Pacific took care of the permits and the PG&E application. So, in the last month we are producing power and not from PG&E. Nice job Sierra Pacific. You guys are pros.

Great experience from start to finish. Sales team was very helpful, communicated well with the install team, and everything went off without a hitch! They took care of all of our PG&E communication as well, and pulled all of the appropriate permits with our city (who can be rather difficult in these matters!). After installation the city inspector failed our system because of a pre-existing issue with the house wiring that we were unaware of - and Sierra Pacific came back out, fixed the issue and re-scheduled the inspector, and we passed everything. They are awesome! We had solar water heating for the pool put in last year and had a similar experience. Hopefully our HVAC system keeps plugging on for a few more years, but if it goes you'd better believe our first call will be to Sierra Pacific again!

The sales rep was very good at explaining the system without pressure. It took me a long time to make up my mind but when I decided to proceed, the company made an installation appointment right away. They were on time and finished the panel installation in one day. The system has been working beautifully.

The entire experience was very positive starting with the marketing rep all the way through installation. The attitude and work ethic of the installers was particularly noteworthy.

We currently had Sierra Pacific Solar Panels for our pool, which we are completely happy with, when the Solar companies starting coming thru our neighborhood, we talked with 2 others and then decided to call Sierra Pacific. We did not want to lease, but buy our system. Sierra had the best price and they installed it in a timely manner, they moved our pool panels down to make sure they could use the correct space on our roof to get us the best system. They promptly came and re installed our pool panels. Their employees were professional, provided identification, were on time, polite. Even when a member fell thru the ceiling in the closet, they had a contractor out to fix, repaint the ceiling and the job was completed within days. Would highly recommend Sierra Pacific for Solar Electric and for Solar Pool Panels. I would give them 10 stars Plus.

I had heard of the company prior to investigating for solar. The cost was competitive, the terms were great. I had intended from the beginning to pay cash, but on principal appreciated that almost all was paid after the system was approved and operational. The installers were professional and kept me advised of all issues. One of their customers is an acquaintance of mine and I received a verbal confirmation on the quality of their work.

They are the best! I interviewed other companies. You cannot even compare them. The salesperson was very informative. The install crew was fantastic. Very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. I was very impressed! I passed my inspection immediately. I would not go anywhere else. I have already recommended them to my family and friends.

Sierra Pacific (recommended by friend) came out and measured the pool, roof, etc.. I was informed (not sold) on the details of a new solar system for my pool. They scheduled my installation during a very busy season and called me sooner than the anticipated install date to get me taken care of ASAP. They showed up when promised and we're very organized and professional on my property. They completed the installation in (1) day. They showed me everything about the new system answering all my questions. Sometime thereafter a distribution pipe connector in one area of my roof leaked pool water (salt water pool) into my gutter. I didn't notice the leak until one day the gutter developed small leaks from the salt water corrosion. I called Sierra Pacific and they rushed to my concerns. They found the pipe leak and repaired it that day. The end result is that they replaced my gutter as soon as possible. I know that things happen in life. It's how people deal with those things that separate the good from the bad. Sierra Pacific took care of the things for me and I have to say that is very important indicator of what type of people they are. I would hire them again based solely on my experience with the true services they provided me. I also would recommend them to anyone!

I interviewed four different companies on solar. The guy from Solar City was extremely irritating (reminded me of a very annoying used car salesman) and they came in very high on the bid. Another company wanted us to put our solar structure in a total different direction which would not have suited our needs. He came in under Sierra Pacific but did not seem to be very knowledgeable on the product. Was extremely happy with every individual I encountered with Sierra. Very knowledgeable and professional. The installation crew led by Juan Flores was top rate. Very happy. My meter has been running in reverse a LOT.

Up front and honest info on the sales call. They thoroughly explained the entire process and made it very easy. On install day, Jose and his team were very thorough from start to finish. They did an excellent job on explaining what I needed to expect prior to install and how to use everything post install.

Mike and his crew of four arrived early on the appointed day. They broke into three tasks, Mike installing the controls, one pair setting the eight panels and the other pair painting and running the piping. I was impressed with care they gave to my property and making their installation attractive. They were done mid-afternoon and Mike walked me through operation of the solar pool heating. He also made a personal inspection of the other's work, checking screw tightness and leaks. I would recommend this company.

We hired Sierra Pacific Solar for our pool back in 2004 and we have been extremely impressed with both their product and their people. They have honored their warranty through out this whole term and whenever we called, they thanked us for the call. You just can't beat this type of customer service.

The experience we had with Solar Pacific was incredible. From sales, to support, to installation and post sales support, the team was excellent. Great expertise and customer service. they took the time to answer all of my questions and was and continue to be very responsive to my inquiries. The were prompt and delivered to the schedule we agreed to. While I have only had the product for about 2 weeks, i must say I am very pleased and would recommend Sierra Pacific.

I could not be more happy with the product and the service and support of Sierra Pacific Solar. They were efficient, timely, and knowledgable. And everything is up and running!! Also Jennifer and the whole office staff are amazing. Really customer centered.

After researching many options, we chose to purchase our system from Sierra Pacific. Our installer was really great, he talked us through the whole installation. We were concerned because we have a 70 year old flat not standard tile roof.So far we are pleased with our decision.

My AC and Heating system need to be replaced as it was 21 years old it still worked but after installing solar i found the ac system was not so good using up most of my solar production on hot days 6,940 watts to be exact i got quotes from other dealers but the people at sierra pacific from sales staff to the install crew were great i was impressed with the quietly of workmanship and attention to detail that Hunter and his crew showed from start to finish my new system only draws 2,638 watts about 38% less energy and cools the house quickly Thanks Again for a job well done! We have had nothing but terrible service from Sierra Pacific. We had heat pump and pool solar water put in. We felt our pool was not heating up enough. We eventually had a service call from “Jeff”. He thinks everything is working mechanically okay and that the only problem might be the sizing of the system. This is now our conclusion also. Jeff said he would go back to the office and check the file to see what the surface area of the pool as determined when the bid was submitted. I suspect there are no measurements in the file and that the salesman just guessed based on his experience. Jeff never called back. I called and complained and still no call back. A second call to your office and they finally had Jeff call me. He apologized, as he remembered his promise to check the file. This was a Friday and he said he would check the file and call us Monday or Tuesday (20th or 21st ). He even said he was calling the office and having a reminder set up. So now it is Tuesday evening and no call back. At this point we feel our system was under sized for some reason, not sue why maybe to undercut the competition, ego of the salesman, ???. The salesman did not measure, did not consider all the waterfalls, spa, and wading area, etc. The other bid we obtained estimated an 8 panel system, but your team insisted we only needed 6. Based on the criteria regarding panels to surface area provided by “Jeff” we have determined we should have had and 8-10 panel system. If we are correct or even close that would explain the underperformance.

Competitive price. Quality panels. High output. Installation fast and quality workmanship. Installers very friendly, more than happy to answer questions and explain work in progress.

My experience with Sierra Pacific Solar was very positive from the initial conversation with the representative through the installation. All questions were quickly answered and all minor problems which arose were also quickly resolved to positive conclusions. Even at present, I am very satisfied and pleased with my association with Sierra Pacific.

Having little knowledge or association with solar power, I spent a couple of months researching the science, application, installation, economics and user reviews and Sierra Pacific came out on top. I purchased the system and to date, it has exceeded my expectations. So what sold me: - Knowledge of the systems, availability of product and applications for my situation, - Low pressure sales and patience with my continuous questioning, - Outstanding reviews by previous clients of Sierra Pacific, - Wide variety of products and installation methodologies, - Overall handling of complaints as identified by the BBB. Sierra Pacific has gone out of it's way to their detriment to resolve customer complaints regardless of their validity, - On site (at my home) evaluation by SP engineering using to date technologies to estimate ideal production designs, - Personal meeting with the SP President, Jason Hanson: he is innovative, progressive, an active member of the industry and is customer driven...in effect, he "gets it!" - Flexibility: there were last minute design changes on my part. The SP team handled it, adjusted the design adding more KWH and aesthetics to the installation, - Turn key results: gave them the green light, they handled the city, the power company and any of the other details necessary for compliant installation. If this has not convinced you, maybe you are not ready for solar power.

We had 16 Panels installed in July 2013. This is one of the most satisfying installations we have contracted. This was the most reasonable of three bids, and every step of the installation went as promised. Based on my recommendation, a close friend also accepted this company's bid and is also very pleased with her product.

There was a paperwork delay w/financing company which delayed connection to PG&E (utility). Jason Hanson paid for our lease payments until we were connected (2 months) which was over and above our expectations. Excellent customer service.

We are completely satisfied with Sierra Pacific and highly recommend them. Sierra Pacific installed PV on a home we previously owned and we went back to them (On a new home).
