Committed to excellence and leading our communities to a cleaner, more just future, ReVision operates as an employee-owned B Corporation. To ensure maximum performance and reliability in a relatively harsh climate, each solar energy system is designed by ReVision Energy's in-house engineers and installed by the company's full-service team of licensed and certified solar technicians. Our customer service team ensures our projects run efficiently for their lifetime and are on call 24-7 to help customers with any issues that arise. Our mission is to Make Life Better by building our just and equitable electric future. Today ReVision Energy operates out of five locations in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, with the long-term goal of converting each location into a "de-carbonization" facility that exemplifies the societal transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. With 450 employees as of July 2023, ReVision Energy has become the leading solar company in northern New England by delivering legendary customer service and the highest quality, most cost-effective solar energy systems available in the marketplace. As part of their unremitting commitment to creating positive social change, the Company's managing partners continue to re-invest annual profits into zero up-front cost solar energy systems for non-profits through its pioneering approach to power purchase agreements, thereby bringing long-term economic and environmental sustainability to schools, municipalities and 501 C 3 organizations that would not otherwise be able to acquire solar energy.

Rockport Solar PV System (residential)
We installed a solar array of 23 PV panels rated at just under 6,000 kilowatt hours (annual) in April of 2014. We are very happy with the system. It has operated perfectly and produced slightly more than Revision had projected for the system. The system produces more electricity than our needs (which include one plug-in vehicle) from April - October. The system currently produces more than 60% of our annual residential power requirements.

Customer of Revision Energy
I had the Revision team install a 7800 KWH system in 7/14. 30 260 Watt panels. Their price was competitive and the team that did the was top notch. Super professional in every way possible. The system has been on since 8/1/14 and i generated roughly 10,900 KWH's in that one year. 97% of what my household consumed. I estimate payback at about 5 years max given the incentives I received and the 10+ SREC's I generated. I'll get paid for those for 10 years. Price for selling the first 6 has averaged $320 per SREC. Could not be happier doing my part to use renewable energy.

Home Solar Panels
Ours installation was in winter and in very cold temperatures. Our shingles suffered some damage because of the cold. Would recommend warmer weather installation if possible. We are very pleased with ReVision's work and are so far pleased with the performance of the panels when not covered with snow!
Response from ReVision Energy
Yes, very neat installation and skilled, professional workers.

The staff at ReVision Energy were knowledgeable and provided excellent technical responses to all of our questions. I would suggest anyone considering PV solar first reduce your usage with LED lamps, and other energy conservation measures, then determine your annual consumption. Once that is done visit PVWatts (a government web site where you can assess your site potential) for PV solar. Then read up on line and gain knowledge, which will help in understanding solar terminology and technology. Finally in selecting a vendor, the lowest cost is not always the best, and consider the quality of installation, (ReVision is excellent) and who will support the installation for the long term.
Response from ReVision Energy
The only reason for the 4 in After Sales Support is I have not used nor needed to use the services/support since the installation and I hope we don't need too!

Very professional, good experience
I did quite a bit of research before I decided to contract with ReVision for our solar panel installation. We went with a ground mounted array rated at about 7kWH. The experience was excellent overall. They came when they said they would, and got the system completed in my time frame. The system was installed as planned and is performing perfectly. The installation was well thought out and the layout of wiring and conduit was neat and professional. They also filled out all the paperwork for utility and PUC rebates and provided clear instructions for filing. When I requested documentation to apply for the Federal Tax Credit it was provided quickly and efficiently. So overall this was a very positive experience and I would recommend them highly.

rave reviews for revision energy
Efficient, knowledgeable, neat, polite, covering all the bases, allowed us to watch and learn, then did complete follow up to make sure we did indeed learn! initial presentation of our 3 town initiative was informative, accurate, and was probably the first reason we signed on. Second to that was the engineering department who did our initial home evaluation with suggestions on just how to optimize our expenses I have recommended Revision to several people both within my area and on my statewide travels. I can't say enough good things about the whole process!!

Amazing Install/Support
When my wife and I decided to go solar, we contacted ReVision for their free consultation. The rep that came out to the house was super friendly and she was extremely knowledgeable with the entire process (From financing, to what would work best with our location/needs) The installation was super quick, less than two days. Their entire installation staff was very knowledgeable and explained what/why they were doing whatever they needed to do every step of the way. They were also very clean and left the house and yard spotless when they were done. The follow up visit was quick and they were able to answer all the questions we had. I STRONGLY recommend using them for any Solar related needs you may have.

Solar Panels
ReVision was great every step of the way. Installation was very smooth, workers polite. The electrician had to do extra work to make room for our expanded panel in a 200 year-old basement and was very thorough - I did not have to pay extra for his carpentry work. We used the maximum space on our roof for 20 panels and were advised that this would be more than we needed. ReVision suggested we add a mini-split heat pump in the equation but that 20 panels might not quite cover that. we opted for the system and have been thrilled with it. Since we don't use it for air conditioning in the summer much at all, we have essentially the perfect amount of electricity. Only problem is we would love to power an electric car off the system and that won't be possible due to our limited space, though we may expand at some point. I've had no need for followup service, so i can't comment on that.

PV installation with a smile
ReVision Energy installed a 6 KW, 24 panel system for me. I'm coming up on 1 year of service and their estimated production was spot on. Their entire team is knowledgeable and friendly. They installed the panels on the roof of a 100+year old barn with a roof that is slightly warped. The mounting was challenging but they took the time to get them mounted perfectly. I'm very happy with the system.

Very pleased with the entire process. Only wish the current governor was not opposed to the state subsidies on solar - all other New England states offer it to their residents. Keep up the good work as long as the sun is shining!

Solar Panels on Plum Island
Last year we heard about ReVision Energy and learned that their prices for what we want were in our price range. A sales engineer came and we went through several proposals, balancing cost vs. how much electricity we could produce. Our goal was to be under $20,000. We accepted one for about $18,000 and have been very happy ever since. We went live June 2, 2014 and now, after our first full year of solar production, we came out $31 ahead over a 12 month period. :-) That's just great. The staff at ReVision were very helpful all the way along. The install went smoothly, and the office did all the copious and complex paperwork to get us set up and approved. That took longer than we hoped, so ReVision deducted one month from the $18K because we missed May 2014 for turning the system live. They did not have to do that, but they did! The only aspect of the whole process that was not top-notch was explaining how SRECs worked. Once I learned how they worked and how to log the production information, however, it's been fine.
Response from ReVision Energy
One additional thought: It's now been just over a year since the installation. I've gotten all the tax credits, and several SRECs, and I credit the power I create against the overall cost. From the initial cost of $18,000, I have paid that down to just about $7,000 net to date. I think the system will be paid for in 3 years or so. Then it's cash positive after that! Can't be beat.
Response from ReVision Energy
I also want to add another comment about buying vs. leasing. We looked at leasing 3+ years ago, and while spending no money is a nice idea, you also really get very little. You get to lock in a fixed rate for the power you make, and pay market rate if you use more than you make. The leasing company gets all the tax breaks and SRECs etc. So although you spend nothing, you get not much. They really rent your roof and make money.

If that's the ONLY way you can go, then why not? But look hard at buying outright if you can afford it, or see what kinds of bank loans you can get. It really adds value to your house, so it's a pretty secure loan.
