Very impressed with Renu

Our solar panel installation was done this morning and we are so excited! We talked to a few solar companies before chosing Renu. Cooper Bortz swayed me with his broad knowledge about the system he was selling... no script... just compelling information and honest answers. Exactly what we were looking for. If you have dealt with contractors very much, you will understand just how remarkable this is! After making our decision, everyone was very responsive and helpful in scheduling the installation. The installers were top-notch: on time, on task, friendly, competent, and professional. I haven't met a Renu employee yet who has not impressed me. I'm certain we made the right decision chosing Renu.

Great system that saves me money

I just installed a Renue Solar system in my house. WHY ISN'T EVERYONE DOING THIS? My costs for electric are locked in for 12 years and then it is basically free. Renu has great support and reacts to every request with speed and efficiency. If you aren't talking to Renu, you are going to spend too much or get bad equipment and service.

They Did Everything They Said They Were Going To Do

We usually gather estimates before any major purchase. However, the rep from Renu was so thorough, and we had heard bad things about some other solar installers, that we decided to go with them and skip other estimates. And I'm glad we did. Unfortunately for us, we were installing a metal roof as well as the solar panels. Even worse, the Covid virus slowed everything down to a crawl. Through it all the Renu staff was patient, encouraging, thorough, and had a sense of humor. We're very happy with the final results.

Great Experience

Renu did a great job informing me of solar options, helping me to understand various system size options I was interested in, and I believe helped me to find a system that best met my need. They acted without pressuring me at any point and the "turnkey" solution made the process very simple on my end.

We are nearing the end of the installation of our Renu Energy Solution project, and could not be happier! Everything has been carried out, just as our salesman, Jeremy Pitts said it would! We have been in communication with the office throughout the project - ALL of the girls in the office have been fantastic as well as everyone who has come to the house - Mike, Daniel, Will and another guy (sorry, I did not get your name) were GREAT. They were professional, efficient, friendly and cleaned up after all the work they did. We could not be happier with this whole experience and look forward to "turning it on"!

This entire process has been a pleasure! I have never had such a wonderful group of people with whom to work! Everyone via phone calls, phone texts, and email has been professional, informative, and so courteous! And the five who came out to install the panels were just fantastic! I can not wait for the last part of the project which is actually turning the solar power on! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

Starting with the sales rep, Susan White, all the way through every single member of the team, all of my interactions were a delight. The installation team showed up on time and got right to work, were pleasant, friendly and polite, got their work done and left with no evidence that they had been here other than the solar panels on my roof. Susan, Rachel and Holly kept the ball moving smoothly and efficiently through the whole process and kept me informed every step of the way. Really it was like clockwork. My husband and I highly recommend going solar and working with Renu Energy Solutions. We knew we were in good hands after our first meeting with their Area Sales Manager, Justin Parrish, who's so passionate and honest on sharing the benefits and advantages of going solar. Going through the many facets of applying for approval from our HOA, Duke Energy and Country Inspections was a breeze with the help of Renu's Solar Project Coordinator, Rachel Gunter, as she patiently accommodated all of our queries and concerns. We really appreciate Justin and Rachel's commitment to providing excellent customer service. In fact, the Renu team has been wonderful from start to finish! Our solar panels are now up and running and we are truly 100% satisfied.

Above and Beyond

While our "solar" power is not yet activated, I have no doubt that it will be as good as or better than they have advertised. The people skills at Renu are second to none. My initial contact was with Jeremy Pitts, SC Sales Manager, who answered questions I didn’t know I had. Important questions. Then the infectious, enthusiasm of Holly Bearden, Customer Advocate immediately followed up with a welcome phone call. Can you imagine? Already, two person to person contacts, not just emails or texts. I was already impressed. Enter the delightful attitude of Rachel Gunter, Solar Project Coordinator and my main contact in their office. Joining the Solar generation is a big deal and coordinating efforts with an electric company can get confusing. Rachel made it work. No bother. No angst. Just “here’s what we’re going to do next”. It's a pleasure to see her name pop up on my many daily emails. Today the installation team came. We now have space age panels on our roof. Having lots of much needed work done on our house recently, we have gotten to see good teams of workers as well as other teams of workers. This crew, led by Daniel was extraordinary. They all knew what to do, when and how to do it. A model of efficiency and professionalism. They even spoke to me. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I wanted to take on this project. I’m “old school”. I did my research, and was approached by at least 6 other companies in the last 4 months. One said I didn’t use enough electricity to make it worth their time. When I suggested I wasn’t sure I was ready for a commitment like this, one salesman actually told me “I was making a wise decision not to sign with them”. Renu is different. They may specialize in the solar energy solutions business, but their employees are in the people business. Refreshing! For an old school couple.

The Best Experience from beginning to Now

We had interviewed 3 other solar salespeople before we met Nick from Renu Solar so we knew what we were looking for. Nick was who we were looking for. He is professional and knowledgeable and clearly into solar energy for more personal reasons than most. So we trusted him and the process began and we are almost to the energizing phase. Our advocate, Holly, has been a great resource of information and support since the beginning, always answering our questions and researching to give us the most accurate information. Then our third support person, Rachel, has been just as great as Nick and Holly, handling the financial processes of loan paperwork, etc. This week the installation/electrician crews came and installed and tested the system. They were so polite and thoughtful and discussed their part of the process with us. The panels look terrific and are perfectly flat and even. The electrical equipment is installed very neatly near the meter and looks very impressive to me, like it's saying "this is a modern, solar home now." We are waiting for the final phase of county inspection and then we should be good to go. We feel like we've finally taken the step we've always wanted to and now, because of the financing option, are actually able to do. It feels very 21st century and appropriate to us. Thanks to Renu for making this a great and exciting experience.

Excellent Customer Service

We did a lot of research before selecting a solar company. They kept us informed throughout the entire process, showed up when they said they would, kept the area neat and clean and answered all our questions. They're pricing was better than their competitors and our panels are beautiful. We've had a lot of horrible experiences with different types of contractors, but this was the easiest and most enjoyable process. We made the right decision going with Renu.

Being an architect, when I decided to install a residential roof panel system, I knew just how many details need to be addressed on this kind of project. Not only did the Renu team coordinate well with each other, but they included me in what they were doing at every step. All the Renu staff were compatent, reliable and genuinely concerned about everything going smoothly. Our system was contracted, designed, installed, ready to connect to the grid in just five weeks, so I came away feeling great about the project and about working with them.
