Renova also addressed additional requirements of the City of Palm Desert concerning heat sensors. In addition, the installation crew enjoyed our air-conditioned garage.

Are you gonna help me with my $925 power bill? I never had a bill until Sunpower went under and Renova was on a “break” Do you not care about your reputation? Worst decision I’ve ever made: Renova Solar. Worst customer care ever!

I've made 6 phone calls and one online chat to get an installation issue resolved. I also spoke with a service rep who has not returned any of my calls. After a solar install, I found one room in the house with no power. Technically, the outlets are dead, as a result of the install team making changes to the primary breaker box, the outlets are crossed wired, the hot and ground wire are reversed. It's been three weeks since the first phone call.

I am unhappy with the installation and this companies disregard for customer satisfaction. And they know I am and they knew I was before the installation was done and they DO NOT CARE. I was told in the beginning I would not see panels from the front of the house. I caught the problem during the install (I could that I would be able to see panels from the front of the house and from my pool.) They said "let us finish this part and we will come back and fix the issue." Stupid me believed them - they did not. I paid around $80k for the system and I was told it would be around $1,300 to move the offending panels - but I would have to pay the cost. They did not even offer to split the difference with me. Their solution - lay the panels flat (which they and I know makes them less efficient - aka I pay for that in the long run with less production and then requires more cleaning). I pointed out that for a measly 1300 they could have a very happy client. They did (do) not care. So now I have a bunch of flat less efficient panels that I can still see - just not as much. Will I use them for anything ever again - NO! Not even panel cleaning. I used Hot Purple for my first house and I wish I had used them for this one.

Starting in May 2023 I began researching the addition of a roof-top solar power system for my home in Tucson. I evaluated many equipment suppliers and installation companies. Based on the quality and efficiency of the solar power components and the stellar reputation of the installation company I selected SunPower as the component supplier and Renova Energy as the local installation company. My local sales person, Doug Skordal, was very knowledgeable, completely honest and patient with our decision process. My wife and I signed a contract with Renova in late October and had a complete, fully permitted and operational solar power system by February. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the components and the installation work (all of it done by Renova employees). They even went so far as to match the paint color in the interior of my garage so that the electrical conduit would be less conspicuous. I can recommend SunPower and Renova to anyone looking for a quality solar power system without reservation. They are the good guys.

Renova was Excellent from start to Finish, My solar is up and running 9 months now, Professional workers and Salesforce Do your homework and read feedback's and reviews from whoever is going to install your Solar, It saved me from a competitor that would have been a nightmare based on their "Sun Run" Reviews, I thought because they were inside Costco it was a good product! I was so excited to buy my new house in the Cathedral City cove! After completing the never ending stack of Escrow documents I was finally into my new place. I then started getting the new home bills and new I needed to get solar on my house in order to reduce the outrageously high SCE bills. I contacted Renova and began working with Cory Hartman. He made the process of putting solar onto my house so easy and the documents he presented were easy to understand and the few questions I had were answered to satisfaction. From my first call to Renova Energy to today, I've had an excellent experience. Following Hurricane Hilary I discovered a leak in my garage, under the panels. A crew came the next day and worked on it. A week later, there was another powerful storm, and the leak returned. Ishmael from Renova Roofing and an assistant came to my house (allowing for my availability) and did a thorough examination of the area around the leak, finding 2 or 3 additional leaks. They re-foamed the entire area efficiently. I appreciate the quickness and thoroughness as well as the respectful attitudes of all involved. Thank you, Renova.

My experience has been that Renova is quick to respond and honest in its dealings. My questions were answered promptly and I was able to talk to Jacob whenever I needed information. I appreciate not working with a computerized system to receive answers! I am hoping that the installation is as efficient as the sales process.

I would like to share my experience with Renova Energy. I must admit, I will be the first to point out deficiencies in customer service (since I did it at the beginning of my work career). But I truly also believe in giving credit when earned. Renova gained my respect a little over two years ago when I began researching Solar for my home. For context, I live in IID service area. I had meetings with several solar companies that ranged from extremely hard sales tactics, to straight out “we don’t do business with IID”. At the advice of a friend, I called Renova and spoke to sales agent Cory Hartman. Cory listened to what I was looking for and gave me something none of the others had. THE TRUTH!!! Long story short, he explained in detail why I would not want to invest in Solar at that time (mind you this was over two years ago). I won’t go into detail, but what he offered was the truth over making a sale. I found that type of integrity refreshing. I put my project on the shelf. Fast forward to the last quarter of last year. I heard rumblings of changes in the solar industry specifically with IID. I reached out to Renova again and apparently, I was already attached to Cory from my last contact. He advised me that indeed things had changed and now was a good time to move forward. Pleased with the numbers and Renova’s offerings I pulled the trigger. I can honestly say the “Renova” experience was exceptionally seamless. From Cory’s piece on the sales and project management end to Alfonso Rosales and his installation team. They all were extreme professionals. They answered all my questions and looped me in on every step. Renova delivered at every scheduled milestone (barring the one time we got rain here in the desert). All that said, installation and inspections were completed the first week in March 2023. Thanks to IID’s inefficiencies my solar was just turned up May 30, 2023. In a word they “SUCK”. IId’s solar interconnect department is the polar opposite in customer service. I will leave it at that. I recently had a solar system installed at my home by Renova Energy. The entire experience - from the initial meeting to the final walkthrough of the installed system - was smooth and easy. I worked with Matt McPherson. He answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns, and guided me throughout the process. On the day of installation, Matt and the crew showed up on time, clearly explained everything they would be doing, and completed the project with time to spare. I'm very happy with the result! Everyone I interacted with at Renova was a professional - I definitely will be recommending them to friends and family in the future!

My Renova Energy system went live this week! I’m so impressed with the smoothness and timeliness of the entire process. Cortland, the senior energy consultant, was there every step of the way to explain the system, outline the installation timeline, and answer every question. Luis, the construction manager, walked me through some points of the installation, and was excellent at finding the best solutions when there were decisions to be made. The installation crew headed by Sylvester was efficient, communicative, and respectful of my needs while working. Sylvester was very conscientious about explaining the installation stages, answering any questions, and addressing my concerns. Office staff were also extremely responsive and professiona. The appearance of the finished work is neat and clean. I’m also very impressed that employees are trained and educated by the company as well as being promoted from within Renova. The loyalty and commitment to customer service by the employees is readily apparent. I was told by several solar owners who used Renova Energy, including neighbors and relatives, that Renova Energy is the best. I couldn’t agree more.

Not only does our meter now run backwards we also have a battery that allows for backup in the event of an outage. Extremely happy with our solar system. Thank you Renova Energy!

We were referred by our neighbors to Renova. Ruben was in charge of our project and did an excellent job. He took us precisely through all the steps from the beginning to the end of the project, answering all our questions clearly. The project only took a couple of months overall. It was even completed one month earlier than we thought. The installation team was very professional, everybody knew what they were doing, and required very minimum involvment from us

10/22/21 Outstanding experience! This company was prompt with their evaluation and preliminary solar design-- easy to understand. The sales staff was prompt with answers to our questions. Comparing the sales/design process with the T**** company was like night and day. Renova under-promised and over-delivered on the customer service from sales to installation. The scheduled installation was 30-days sooner than earlier promised (example of their over-delivery). We knew exactly when the crews would arrive each day, when they would take their lunch breaks, and leave the job site. The work site was always kept neat and clean. All communications were clear and concise. I don't have ANY negatives... a very good customer service experience. 11/11/21 Our solar system has operated for 1-month. Everything about the system is as it was described-- flawless. We received our first SCE bill since the system was installed-- $24 (service/taxes/fees from SCE) and we have a $21 credit from selling energy back. In addition, the system has been charging an EV which was not part of our historical power demand. What could be better.

I was extremely impressed with Jacob and his installation team. Their professionalism and courtesy went above and beyond expectation. It's no wonder you guys are the best in the valley with a team like that.

Pros: 1. I have a functioning system that I think is producing the proper power output. Cons: 1. The HOA permit process was a mess. The first paperwork sent to me was for a completely different HOA, not mine. I was told to send two seperate checks to the wrong HOA as well for the permits. I had to practically call my HOA to call the Renova HOA specialist to get the paperwork & permit process completed. 2. My system was not installed by a licensed electrician. After the job was completed & waiting inspection, I informed the office foreman that some of my �Arc Fault Breakers� were not properly reinstalled in the new sub-panel. Only then did a licensed electrician show up & reinstall the proper breakers to comply with electrical code. 3. The install process was rushed & chaotic. The crew broke 18 roof tiles. When I called them on it, they said the would cement back together the ones that were not broke completely. They would only replace the ones that were completely destroyed. Only after I complained to the job manager at the main office was a roofing crew sent out to completely replace ALL the broken tiles. I hope my roof does not leak the next time it rains? 4. I never got a followup visit from my salesman to walk me thru my system & show me all my output totals & system functions. Also connect my system to the monitering App. I eventually did all that myself. 5. The crew left the manufacturer stickers & bright green quality control decals on the sides of my panels. I will have to go up on my roof & remove them myself. Not very profesional. To Wrap things up. It was a bumpy install, but all is well & I am a happy Renova Solar Customer.

From the initial consultation to one year later….in a word, FLAWLESS! Ruben explained everything well, took all of my calls answer my questions, the install was done quickly and professionally. Ruben was there every step of the way. The app is great, and matched up with my monthly usage from SCE bills. Fast forward one year. I just received my “square up” from SCE, which was $62! Yes, I’m conscious of when I use appliances and my air is on 80 (perfectly comfortable). At this rate, the system will pay for itself in under 10 years. Count me as a delighted customer!

What a team!!! From the sales rep, Nelson, to the installers, we were kept informed about the project. We had personal schedule issues which Renova accommodated at the last moment. We chose Renova based on the recommendation of a friend who looked at three local solar companies. He sent the contract/proposals to a lawyer friend. The response back from the friend was, "Only consider Renova!". Their experience was good enough for us. It proved to be true.

We realized having solar installed for our home was going to be a slow, methodical process, but working with Ruben and the installation team was a dream! Every attempt to make contact was responded to in a professional and timely manner. We highly recommend Ranova Solar Energy!

I did a lot of research of different companies before I met with Renova and they more than lived up to my expectations.

I began discussing a Solar System with Renova Energy approximately 2 to 3 years ago and there was not a good (financial) solution for our property due to how our traditional electric power supplier treats the billing component for new purchasers of solar systems. Renova Energy continued to look for a solution regardless of our electric supplier policy and they were able to find a solution called a "Microgrid Solar Energy System for our property. Even though there was not a guarantee we would like or purchase the system; Renova Energy kept working to find a solution.

We are so glad with our decision to go with Renova Energy. Matt McPherson and his crew were very professional, respectful, he answering all our questions from the beginning to finished. We highly recommend Renova Energy for your solar installation, and Matt McPherson, he is fabulous.

Great service, didn’t have to do a single thing, completely free to start our lease, pull permits, do install, plus got a brand new electrical panel. All free to us. Didn’t have to do anything. Now, our formerly $800-$900 electric bills in summer are $193 for the lease plus $4-$12 for the electric company. Couldn’t be more pleased with Renova’s personal service.

Of the three companies we spoke with, the Renova presentation was by far the most professional and thorough. Our Energy Consultant, Ruben Gamez-Ramirez, was incredible knowledgeable, explaining every aspect of solar, answering all of our questions, and presenting us with a layout and accurate cost proposal at our first meeting. Ruben promptly followed up, scheduling measurements and property engineering assessment. Renova took care of all permitting with the city, SCE, HOA, and county. We were kept informed of the progress throughout. Our installation was scheduled, and the installers were professional, prompt, clean and experienced. Ruben the followed up with a visit to clearly explain the entire energy billing process, and provided a wealth of information regarding what we can expect. You simply can not go wrong with Renova!

I cannot highly recommend Matt and his team enough. The entire Renova team were timely and transparent on all costs and level of effort for the solar purchase/installation process. Matt was always reachable, even outside business hours, to answer questions and support. The entire team kept us up to date on permitting, material purchase, install, and final inspection which allowed us to sit back and just wait for the system to go up. They worked around schedules and stayed past normal hours to make sure my system was up and running when the electrical wiring hit a hitch. Top it off Matt made sure that we were completely satisfied with the work before asking me to sign off. If you are considering solar, Renova should be your first call.
