Battery Back-up!

In 2016, I bought my first solar energy system from Renewable Energy Corp. As we decided about what company we wanted to use and what type of system we wanted to get, we learned that when grid power is lost, a home with solar panels will still lose power. Therefore we researched back-up battery systems. We also decided that we did not want to lease our system, we wanted to purchase it. Purchasing a system meant that we were able to gain the tax credits for our system, upgrade it as we wished and did not have to worry about decisions to sell our home. Renewable Energy Corporation was the best decision we could have made for our solar system. They came to our home and gave us real feedback on the strengths and limitations of our location. They did not try to oversell their product to us. We didn’t have to sign any agreement or contract in order to get a price quote. The quote was true to value and they worked a few different options so that we could consider how much we could afford and ways in which to upgrade over time as needed or wanted. When you purchase solar, ABSOLUTELY get the battery back-up system. I had lived in my home for 16 years and only had one major power outage during a hurricane, so I didn’t think that it was a huge necessity. But, I chose to do the back-up because I have a family and I wanted the peace of mind. The first year we had solar, a snow plow took down the wires less than a quarter mile from our house. Power was out over night (about 9 hours) in a snow storm. The battery system automatically switched the house over with no power disruption (I don’t even have to reset my clocks). My family stayed warm and had the water we needed due to our solar battery back-up. In August of 2017 a tornado blew through our community taking out power for 22 hours. Again, we were able to save our refrigerated foods and have water and keep our sump pump going when our neighbors lost power. Renewable Energy Corp has continued to follow-up with us on how our system is working and we have needed no maintenance, nor had any problems since installation. This summer we opted to maximize our roof space with more panels and again the salesmen and installation crews were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. I recommend this company as highly as possible.

We had solar system in our home in California which it was totally worth it, great investment and saved us a lot. Great company, great product and exclellent service

We just got our 6 kW system installed in June. The staff at Renewable Energy Corporation were very helpful and professional. They made the process easy and helped us with all the paperwork for the HOA, county permits, different rebates, net meter installation and SREC account. They installed the system in just one day and the technician made sure that I was 100 % satisfied with the installation. The entire system is well engineered and the panels are some of the most efficient in the industry and have a great warranty, as well as their labor. If you want to go solar I definitely recommend Renewable Energy Corporation.

Solar Panel Installation(s) - 2014 & 2016

Renewable Energy Corporation was recommended to us by a friend. We chose to buy our solar panels. Our first installation was 12 panels (3kW) - 2014. Our second installation was 8 panels (2KW) - 2016. All of our interactions with employees of Renewable Energy were professional (salesman, installers, office staff). The panels were installed in a timely fashion and met the requirements of our home owners association guidelines. We chose the panels because of their efficiency, power output, and each panel had mini-inverters (vs. a single inverter).

Great service

Renewable Energy Corporation installed 58 panels in August 2015. Renewable completed the whole permitting process and installed the panels. Very professional during this process. Had some delay from Pepco in upgrading and connecting to the Smart Meter. My electric bills were reduced by more than 2/3 since that time. The microinverters reported production problems on 16 of the panels and Renewable identified the problem and repaired it promptly.

Expanded Solar Capability

I had my first solar panels installed in 2013. This year I need to replace my roof. I thought it would be a good time to increase the number of solar panels from 8 to 16. It turned out that Renewable Energy Corporation was able to install a new roof as well as increase the size of the solar installation. The current installation included a solar powered attic fan.

Outstanding Customer Service

I was a little nervous in June of 2015 when I made the decision to get solar panels but after working with the Renewable Energy Corporation Team I know this was the best decision I could have made. Their customer service is amazing. They were always available to answer any questions and I never had any problem reaching a real person (no recording) when I called. I recommend using them you won't be disappointed.

Renewable Energy

My experience with Renewable Energy was excellent. They are knowledgeable, skilled and professional. They did not attempt to oversell us on what we needed and addressed all of our questions and concerns. Their estimate for the amount of energy we would save has been exceeded. After installation, we had several minor issues, which were dealt with immediately. The installers were all pleasant and polite. The back office staff was awesome!

Love My Solar

We are fairly new customers, but love everything about our new solar panels so far - and renewable has been wonderful! They made the installation so easy, have walked us through questions we've had since - and the paperwork they provided on our behalf! We have only been up and running for a little over a month, and thanks to them providing the paperwork (all we had to do was review and sign!), we've already received one of our 'rebate' checks. They have been great to do business with - I would recommend in a heartbeat.

I decided to buy solar panels for two reasons; first, I wanted to support clean Renewable Energy. In addition to solar panels, I also own an electric car and I am trying to reduce my carbon footprint. Second, I wanted to reduce my monthly living expenses. My son used Renewable Energy and I know he did a lot of research before he picked a company. I decided to follow in his footsteps. I was very happy that I did. They are a great company. First, they did a full ROI and assessment to make sure it made sense for my house. They examined my electric bill and did studies on my roof to determine where I can have the best result. In addition, Renewable Energy uses all American made panels, warranties it for 25 years and most importantly, their system has inverters on the roof to provide the most efficient conversion from DC to AC. I would not want to use a company where you don’t own the panels, then I am just buying electric from them instead of the electric company. They scheduled an install for me, and showed up on time with a whole crew to do the work. When it came time for the county inspection, they sent someone to my house who sat in their car most of the day to wait for the inspector. They wanted to make sure the job was right. In addition, the prefilled most of the paperwork (they can’t sign for me) for my Maryland Grant, my Baltimore County Grant, the paperwork needed for a net meter and to get setup for SRECs. When the net meter was installed, I did have an issue, but they came out the next day and took care of it. I measure a company by how well they do when everything is not perfect. I am now generating my own electric, reducing my monthly bills. I am even charging my car off of clean energy. In addition, shortly, I should be able to sell SRECs which will also reduce my monthly expenses. I highly recommend Renewable Energy. They make the process easy, do a quality job with quality material and make sure you get all of the grants and rebates that you are eligible for.

Excellent customer service!

My wife and I had been considering having solar panels installed on our house for a couple of years. Fortunately, we found out about Renewable Energy Corporation at an information booth during our local Independence Day fair. From the initial salesperson visit through the actual system start up, every step in the process couldn't have gone more smoothly. Everyone, from the office staff (much kudos to Amanda) to the engineering and design team, to the installers and electricians, were very professional and courteous. We can't say enough good things about the entire process and can highly recommend Renewable Energy Corp. to anyone who's considering efficient, U.S. manufactured solar energy for their home or business. what can I say, Renewable Energy corporation 2 thumbs up!! My wife and I were looking into saving money on electric and to go green doing it. We decided to check into solar panels for the house. We contacted Renewable energy about the solar panels and they sent out a rep to talk to us. After the meeting it was a no Brainerd for us to switch. During the whole process they made everything so easy for us. They did all the paper work and got the permits. We just sat back and signed a couple papers a d that was it. If I had to do it all over again Renewable Energy will be my first and only call I make. If you are thinking a out getting solar panels call Renewable Energy you won't regret it!!! Happy to have Solar in Balitmore!

I like to share my good experience with having Solar Panel on the roof of my home about a month or so. The rep came to my home explain in everyday language having solar panels and selling the electric power back to BGE. They were very helpful with all the paperwork to be filled out to get the Maryland local and state grants. Any time I had a question they were there. When it was time for the final inspection the Rep came out and waited about hour until BGE came. I would recommend that you give Renewable Energy call to see how they can help you! Linda B.

Renewable has been professional throughout the installation of our panels. The panels were installed in a timely manner in the time frame promised. My husband and I were given a thorough education about solar panels and the pros and coms of purchasing rather than renting. I have always been a little green. I have been recycling most of my life, way before they started picking it up from the curb. I may also be a little ODC when it comes to re-using things. So it was driving me crazy that I could not recycle the energy from the sun. I always thought solar panels were too expensive for the average home owner. When I saw that my frugal neighbor installed solar panels it caught my attention. We asked him to give our contact information to Renewable Energy Corporation. The representative was well prepared and gave us a wonderful presentation. When I saw how much money the solar panels were going to generate, I was sold. Between the tax credits, a grant from the county, SREC (credits for using solar power), BGE savings and BGE pay back, it will not be long before the system has paid for itself and the advantages and money will keep on coming. The best part is that Renewable Energy takes care of all the paperwork so that I don’t miss any savings. Most of the time all I have to do is sign and return the forms. I would recommend everyone to get solar panels for great savings for their checkbook and also for a better environment. Of course, Renewable Energy Corporation is the best place to get quality solar panels and excellent service.

Very Professional Sales and Installation Crew

IF you are thinking about a solar energy alternative - please call RENEWABLE ENERGY Corporation. My husband and I been talking about solar energy for years-just never pulled the trigger. We live south of Annapolis Maryland -1 mile from the Chesapeake Bay - lots of tall trees so we were unsure if our roof would be ideal for solar panels. I saw the Renewable Energy booth at a fair and signed us up to meet with a REP to discuss solar panels. The Rep that met with us was very knowledgeable about their product, the entire process, the cost and the energy savings opportunities, so we bought the solar panel sstem that evening. In just a day or two a test of total solar exposure on each section of our roof was made and we setup the installation date. On the day of installation all of Maryland received several inches of snow overnight. Upon arrival the crew had to shovel the driveway (which they cheerfully did) to be able to bring their trucks in and the roof before they could begin with solar panel installation. Although this delayed their start time, the crew proceeded with the roof install of solar panels and an addition to the electric panel inside the garage. Most work was done that first day and a small crew came back to finish the following morning. Both garage and outside areas were completely cleaned when they were done and they tested the monitoring equipment before leaving. All applications for permits& inspections from the county and all paperwork required by our Electric provider were handled or coordinated by Renewable Energy Corporation. Anne Arundel County inspections were completed the day following installation. At this time we are awaiting a BG&E new electric meter installation that can register when we start returning energy instead of just using it! We are very happy with the look of our solar panels and how pleasant the entire installation was. Thank you Renewable Energy Corporation! You have a great product and Excellent employees. 2kw system

We are glad we went with Renewable Energy Corporation. We met a representative at a home show, and they were very knowledgeable and seemed to have a better solar panel (Solar World) than others we met. The installation went smoothly and we haven't had any issues. The follow up afterwards has been excellent as well. They helped us with all the necessary paperwork to complete the process and deal get set up with solar credits, etc.

Great Solar Panel Installation

It was a pleasure doing business with Renewable Energy. The process went very smoothly, the crew installed the panels quickly and cleaned up afterward. Since the solar panels have been installed, we are seeing the expected savings in our electric bill. In addition, I really like being able to monitor our energy production. Our existing electric panel couldn't handle the additional requirements of the solar installation and the process of getting our panel upgraded was coordinated by Renewable Energy and completed quickly, and at a very fair price. Initially, after the installation we had an issue with the monitoring system, Renewable Energy was very responsive and got it up and working within a couple days. We are very happy with our solar panels and like the specific panels offered by Renewable Energy better than what was proposed by other companies.
