I was referred to Public Service Solar and I still thank my friend. From start to finish PSS was great, they file all the paperwork, they do not use sub contractors, everything is done in house. Communication was great and any questions I had were answered promptly. So glad that I chose Public Service Solar.

Public Service Solar did an absolutely outstanding job at my home. From start to finish, the entire experience was organized, efficient, and incredibly professional. They sent a team of seven people split into three specialized groups — one working on the roof, one inside the house, and another handling the control box. Watching them operate was impressive; everyone knew exactly what they were doing. They installed 31 solar panels in a single day, and the workmanship is excellent. Even in the winter, I’m already producing close to 72% of the electricity I consume, which is remarkable. I can only imagine how much more I’ll generate once summer arrives. After doing extensive solar research and meeting with several companies, I decided to go with Public Service Solar, it was honestly an easy decision. They hit all the check box’s that were important to me: -Local company with NO subcontractors -Extended warranty on parts and labor -Responsive staff -Excellent solar panel options -Included Enphase consumption monitor -Outstanding pricing I worked with several PSS folks throughout the process. Tony and Bruce were especially knowledgeable and responsive. They answered every single question or concern I had (my house has a fully automatic standby generator). The crew and electrician that did the installation did an amazing job - it looks as good as solar panels can! The included critter guard is both practical AND adds a clean finished look (hides any wires). They completed the install within the estimated time frame, handled all permits and scheduled inspections. They also filed all required documents for my PTO and SREC credits. If you are considering solar (why wouldn’t you) I highly recommend going with PSS.

Public Service Solar is a best quality, experienced, and honest solar installer. I was impressed with everything they did for me. They explained very well the initial estimate and then the final quote. They knew NJ and Edison power rules and regulations. They got my panels installed AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. They had the engineer explain the design and what I should expect from the solar panels. I got a 15 panel installation. I did my research: the panels they used were the among best in the industry (Maxeon). The inverters were also among the best, if not the best. (EnPhase IQ8HC. Not all EnPhase inverters can handle 440 watts!). Public Service Solar has the best warrantee I could find, and the equipment they installed had the best warranty, too. I’m recommending Public Service Solar to my sister in law. First of all, Public Service Solar provided one of best proposals in the bunch. I was impressed by their choice of materials including 420 KW Panasonic panels and Iron Ridge roof mounting hardware, recognized as among the best in the industry. Last thing you want is leaks! This is clearly a top notch professional outfit. They provided an app to keep you informed on the progress of the project and later for monitoring your solar panel output. I’m waiting to see how the latter functions. The installers did an excellent job. It was evident these guys knew what they were doing. Very efficient. I particularly like the concealed electrical connections between panels on adjacent roof sections and the critter guards which provides a cleaner finished look. Those metal pipes can be quite unsightly on top of your house. Anyway, I’m glad I selected PPS .

The work was very professional. Also compared to other installs that I have seen while driving around mine was very clean looking, not a lot of conduit running all over. and when they were done it was like they were never here, no mess whatsoever!

Public Service Solar (PSS) was a pleasure to work with throughout our home solar journey. We initially got connected via EnergySage after they provided a competitive bid, which we subsequently reviewed with an EnergySage Energy Advisor. The 1 day installation was done without issue and we've been producing power for over 1 month now. PSS handled all of the township and utility applications and permits and kept us well informed about the process and progress. The Public Service Solar app is a great way to track project progress, solar generation, and for making referrals to friends and neighbors.

We had a new roof and solar system installed. Both were completed on the scheduled days and in the expected time. The rest of the project was completely turn key and super easy.

I researched 15 to 20 different solar installers, kept coming back to Tony at Public solar. True to his word and very easy to deal with. First of all, I wanted to thank Energy Sage for the utmost recommendation! Public service solar is bang for my buck. I've been saving money since the installation last year of October 2024. Each step of the process was well explained to my by the project manager. Overall, I'm very pleased and happy! More power to your company!

I started looking into solar in late August 2024 and after careful scrutiny of several vendors decided to go with Public Service Solar (PSS). They impressed me with their industry knowledge and use of technology in our initial meetings. I felt their foundation in roofing and electrical was well placed, especially after having spoken with others who had solar installed that had issues in both areas. Any solar project is going to be expensive, and PSS was not the lowest priced offer I received, but I felt with the level of equipment offered, small extras such as critter guards, strong warranties, experience of the team, and being locally based, they offered the best value. After a site visit and preliminary plan with pricing, I made my decision and notified them of winning my business in mid-September 2024. Since then, PSS has taken care of everything. Their team created a comprehensive plan that was thoroughly reviewed by an engineering firm and then with me. The plan was tweaked after our discussion as they made good recommendations for my property and included my input. They filed all the permits with my township, and made necessary contacts with my electric utility and appropriate inspectors. My solar system was installed on November 1, 2024 and while they needed a second day to sort out my battery back-up system, the solar part of the project was available to be online the next day and allowed me to produce clean solar power (note: I was aware my home already had a net-back meter which helped in this situation but may not apply to all. Tread cautiously if you’re generating solar power without a net-back meter.) Inspections were completed in mid-November under the on-site guidance of a PSS representative and required only a minor adjustment to the electrical panel, which was quickly completed and re-inspection passed. My township and electric utility were automatically notified of the passed inspection. With the holidays fast approaching it took a little bit for the utility to inspect my meter and establish my account as a net-back account, but that was recently completed in early January. With utility permission to operate I am in full solar mode, generating my own electricity and getting credit when sending extra to my utility (note: I’m in PA and the processes may be different in other states or localities). With few hiccups along the way it was a smooth and quickly implemented process. From my timeline you can see this took approximately 4 months from the time I committed to PSS to completion and full permission to operate. I haven’t had the opportunity to use my battery back-up, but I’m comfortable knowing what should happen thanks to the time the staff spent preparing me for when that time comes. The PSS staff is also in the process of setting up my account to receive SREC credits and helping monitor my system to make sure it’s operating as expected. PSS has a website/app that allowed me to follow the installation and approval processes and now serves to provide me daily and historic data on my system production. Between the planning, installation, inspections, and few hours reviewing data and asking questions, I’ve encountered about a dozen PSS employees and none have disappointed. They have all been friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to work with me to keep me informed and ensure all my questions and concerns are addressed. I look forward to continuing my relationship with them and would highly recommend them for anyone interested in a solar project.

I had reached to few solar company's and public service solar fit my needs the best. They were very professional and helpful for start to finish.

We recently chose Public Service Solar to install solar panels on our roof after doing extensive research and after receiving multiple bids. Public Service Solar provided the best proposal overall, having both a lower cost per watt and a superior design. Their warranties are also excellent. They did an analysis of the sunlight exposure on my roof, and they proposed installing panels in the areas that received the most sunlight, in order to maximize electricity production. They arranged for permits for my system and worked with my electricity provider to make sure all the details were ready for the installation. After all the parts were ordered and the approvals were in place, they actually installed my system in a single day. They have been professional and great to work with. I *highly* recommend them if you are considering installing solar panels for your house.

These guys are great. Easy to work with, with no BS. I did shop around but went with Public Service Solar in the end. Why? I got the most straight answers from them. They always answered the phone or email. They install the system themselves. I read multiple horror stories about fly by night contractors installing systems and things going pear shaped quickly. So yes I would recommend theses guys.

Public Service Solar was great! They white-gloved the entire process. I spoke with the people who designed the system and signed off on it. They took care of everything else, including paperwork with the county/state government! Would recommend to anyone who is interested!

From the first interactions I had with one of their Business Develop Reps, Alex, to the site survey by Joe, I found everyone to be professional and knowledgeable. They took the time to educate me and were completely honest throughout my selection process (which included 15+ companies). The utility and township approvals were done in under 2 weeks (I expected 6+ weeks). This week I had my roof replaced and a solar system installed with a Panasonic battery. And it went like clockwork. They showed up on time, explained what they would be doing and the timeframes. They protected items on the ground and deck from damage and cleaned up well afterward. We also scheduled the final inspection early next week which will allow the utility to complete the final step, swapping out the meter. I'm thrilled with the entire process so far, and I'm glad I chose Public Service Solar.

Public Service Solar worked with us from start to finish with great customer support and service! They assisted us to figure out what setup would work for our energy needs and what would fit best for our roof. They then did an onsite survey to make sure that the system would work well with our roof. The installation went very quickly and was done before the actual installation date! There was an unfortunate accident where some tools were dropped in the attic that damaged a bedroom ceiling. Public Service Solar had a contractor come out and fix it like it had never happened. If you’re interested in Solar energy solutions, I would highly recommend Public Service Solar. Mark definitely took care of us and had all the answers for our questions.

I had my Solar System installed on September 28th, 2022. Before I installed the system, I had lots of questions about the Solar System, Cost, and performance. I did talk with four different companies regarding the system and none of them did not give straight or correct answer to my questions. Lucky, I was able to talk with “Public Service Solar” company in May 2022. The salesperson “Mr. Mark C” from Public Service Solar was able to give answer to my questions and explain the whole process in plain English. After finishing all the necessary paperwork, they were able to install the Solar System in the last week of September. The installation went very smoothly, and the system started producing electricity. At the end of the first year my solar system produced 95% of my total usage. In March 2024, I added 4 more panels to my existing system hoping that my system should produce 100% of my total usage. Last two years the system is running great, and I start seeing the saving on my electric bill. The staff from “Public Service Solar” are wonderful and genuinely nice people to work with. I would especially like to thank “Mark C” for his kindness and his help through the process. I am glad that I Invested money in the Solar System because the last two years data and performance indicating the saving I am going to have in the future. This is a review of PublicService Solar. After 6 months of dealing with over 25 solar company we picked them to do our solar install. First review is of the company. Second is of the install team. Bruce, we want to tell how happy we are with your company with the process from the begin of our solar project. From you have provided us good info and helped us get just what we wanted. Once we signed up, the fact that we had to do nothing ourselves was great. The install was great, and the fact the day after the install we were making power was great. We hope that soon we can be sending power back to Med-Ed (we know that you have no control over this) as that will start helping to pay for the system. Your app seems to show all we want to know about the system and is very easy to use.  We also like that you included rodent control in the install, you were the only company that did not have it as an extra. In all it has been a great experience working with you.  Bruce, we both were in inpresent by your install crew They were very nice and did a great job. I was asked to allow them to move the site of the electric box's and to allow them to cut a hole in the garage ceiling. Both were good ideas and I said yes. They all thanked us for the lunch that we had for them. They did a great job and left no trace that they were here, other than the new black roof and some electric conduct and boxes. They wanted to patch the hole in the garage selling, but I said to leave it as I’ll make an access out of it. Thanks for sending such a great crew.

My wife and I view our solar installation; not only as a consciences way towards a better planet but as an economic strategy to reduce our monthly energy bill. We were complete novices concerning solar so we did extensive research and spoke to numerous other solar owners; in addition to a multitude of solar installers. Public Service Solar stood out to us right away from the beginning with their frankness. They are knowledgeable and detailed with their explanations. Fast service great customer service

I inquired multiple solar installation contractors, small & big, local & national. After reviewing all the proposals and comparing the equipments, the services and the warranty they offer, I finalized with Public Service Solar. I was initially skeptical, so I researched further to do my due diligence. Overall, I got a good feeling. Along with solar installation, I also got my roof installed with them. They gave a great combo offer. While reviewing the contract, they took time to explain all that would be done in their job. They followed through their time-line. They did a great job for roof and solar installation. No project is without any issue, so when there was a minor issue (my personal Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough to connect to Enphase system) during the process, Tony and his team were fully willing to resolve the issue and they provided Wi-Fi range extender at no cost. Even after the system is turned on, they are still equally supportive and responsive. Especially Sean, he is very prompt to get back and to address all valid and invalid concerns. They completely lived up to my expectation, so I recommended them to some of my friends and would continue recommending others.

I investigated solar several years ago and wasn't eligible because of shade from a large tree. With the tree gone, I started the process again and found several companies willing to overcharge me. I found Public Service Solar on Energy Sage. Their response to my inquiry was almost instant and their willingness to jump on the phone, hold frank conversations, and answer every (somewhat ridiculous) question I had was appreciated. The process started in February 2020 - less than a month before COVID-19 took over the world. Public Service Solar didn't slow down - from the roof tear off and installation to completing the process for installing and lighting up the panels - the only thing that slowed them down was bureaucracy enhanced by a pandemic that was outside their control. I was kept abreast of every step in the process - even when the process was delayed - so I was never left wondering "what next?" The roof, the panels, the installation and follow-up were top notch. Their price was the best, too. I wouldn't be more pleased. Oh, and my electric bill for several months (during peak cooling season) has been zero.

Very professional and clean installation! The installers arrived at my house, immediately got to work, and were finished same day! I didn't have to do anything and they left everything cleaner than when they had started!
