My experience has been great right from the beginning when I first met with Tim Nunn who is a director a director of sales for NYSS. He explained the whole system in detail, Tim is very knowledgeable, profesional and with a lot of experience in Solar Power Systems. On top of that, he is also very reliable, he is always available to answer any questions .

Amazing Work

I had a great experience working with Sharif Udin. From the sales process all the way through installation, he walked me through every step and made everything easy to understand. He was always available whenever I had a question, consistently followed up, and was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire process. hi, my name is Kelly.I just had solar installed in my house and the sales is David Rodriguez he is very professional courteous very happy with the service I received from them. The installation went really well. I got a new roof out of the deal I have a slight problem one of the leaders wasn't installed so they came right back and installed it. They're also doing a new flashing for me that I requested so that's been taken care of overall I've been very happy with the service and the so far and anybody who's looking to look into solar to speak to David R and see what he can do for you here you go thank you

It was absolutely amazing interacting with Joshua McCarthy, who personally sat with my husband and I. He was exceptionally helpful and clear with the answers to the ”many” question we both had regarding Solar. Joshua put all our misconceptions and reservations to rest!! We were absolutely convinced that Solar was a wise choice, and a smart investment!! We not only got our roof replaced, but our Solar panels were also installed within days of each other…Needless to say, we’re very pleased with the efficiency and professionalism of both the Roofing Company, and the NYSS Installers. We will definitely recommend NYSS to anyone who is interested, but unsure of the process. The Installation was smooth, and clear communication every step of the way was provided. Good looking system

I had a great experience working with Pedro Johnson at NY State Solar. Pedro was professional, knowledgeable, and very responsive throughout the entire process. There was a minor wiring issue during the installation, but Pedro and his team identified it and fixed it right away before everything was completed. I really appreciated their attention to detail and commitment to making sure the job was done properly. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend Pedro Johnson and NY State Solar to anyone considering solar.

Pedro Johnson has been very easy to work with and informative, the install is complete as was scheduled and men the field were polite clean and very efficient. We are currently awaiting inspection and for the system to be activated.. hopefully it will be an electrical consumption cost savings as promised

It has been a great experience with the gentlemen Sharif and the installation crew. The sales guy was very sincere and I'd highly recommend him to absolutely anybody. Every company has told me no and that I'm not qualified but this company made things happen with absolutely no credit or income required. The panels look fabulous, I'm so glad I made the switch to Solar power.

Best thing to happen next to Costco 1.50 hot dogs and a drink

I love my solar company, I've had multiple companies come to my door but they never seem to give me the rundown on how things work but pedro sat down with me broke it down every step of the way and told me how much I could be saving and how awesome it is to generate power and use the power to power up all the appliances in my house so I don't overspend on electricity with Con Edison. I owe my gratitude to Pedro for setting me up with this solar company I couldn't ask for more. If I had to choose between Costco's $1.50 hot dog drink special and solar power I probably choose solar power because of Pedro.

I chose I chose a company because Tahir sheikhs presentation was really good. Help me learn more about it. And did my research, and then I decided it would be beneficial for me and my family as far as saving money in the future. The roof install was fairly quick. Did a great job and looked good. And they cleaned up without any problems afterwards. So I would recommend it to any and cost-effective didn't really cost much. We didn't really have to come out-of-pocket. To do the roof in so that was awesome. The Solar, all the solar so far so good. I haven't had any issues that we had. The inspector came, they approved, and we've been, we've been an assistant. Hi my name is Ms. Mathis, I went solar with NYSS. My experience with this solar company and William was a great experience. The company was very professional, helpful, pleasant while I was going through this experience of getting solar from the company. I had solar from about a little over a year and I have experience a great decrease in my electric bill, which I was very happy in getting solar with NYSS company.

Yesterday the crew from NYSS came and put our panels on the roof. They were professional, clean and fast. Thanks to Taz and Jim for their professionalism in explaining everything and being so patient with all our questions. Can’t wait to start saving $$. !!!

Solar Is Great

I worked with Sharif from NYSS. I’m glad he stopped by because not only did he help me, he was able to help my little brother in the Bronx and also my cousin in queens. I no longer have to worry about con Edison and their rate hikes as I was able to get solar at a much lower cost. I was able to convert my house to fully electric so I no longer have to pay for gas. The solar gives me enough power to both heat and cool my house. The process was so simple and quick, I just sat at home and waited for Sharif to handle everything for me. He was great and so was his crew.

My program manager‘s presentation was the best out of any company that I ever sat with the way he educated me because of his knowledge is what helped me make the decision to move forward with New York State solar The team that came to install, the solar panels were very professional. They did everything within the day they did clean up all the mess. None of our neighbors complained, and the job was absolutely fantastic. I had solar panels on my roof before I even realized that. Excellent Choice!

After researching many solar companies, I decided to go with NY Solar — and I’m glad I did. From their account representative, Joseph Hawes, to the service crew and installation team, everyone was professional and met all of my expectations. Even when issues came up, they addressed them promptly. As you'll learn, there are many steps involved in the process before your panels are up and running. Throughout it all, NY Solar kept me informed and delivered everything on time, just as they promised. I highly recommend them to anyone considering going solar.

We were fortunate to work with Ramon Mariano with NY State Solar. Ramon was very nice, courteous and a true professional. He was extremely informative and took the time to answer several questions. Ramon explained everything thoroughly and there was no pressure whatsoever. The installation was efficiently and expeditiously completed as scheduled. Ramon followed-up every step of the way and we highly recommend him.

I was a skeptic until NYSS!

I know you are wary of new things. I was just like you. I asked a hundred questions and was happy with every answer. If you are lucky enough to have a representative of NYSS like Kareem Fadl you will be a new solar customer soon. Kareem was able to give me the technical information and statistics, but to explain it in terms that were easy to understand, which is so important when it comes to the savings, the rebates , the service and MOST importantly for Zero dollars down. I have heard all the no money deals throughout my life, I was a skeptic and you should be too, but sit down with a representative like Kareem or his team and let them answer every question. You don't have to take my word for it, do your work and see. Compare your electric bill with them, check out the reviews, ask for customer contacts, that was the final piece that sealed it for me, talk to someone IN YOUR community , that was a skeptic, just like you and I. An amazing experience

I have had the pleasure to have Benjamin Prasert, a program manager for NY State Solar work with me with this life changing switch to solar panels. Initially, I was not interested in having solar panels- the thought of having a loan for 30 years and the interest rate could flucuate. This information I received from many other solar panel companies- not able to bank your extra energy etc,.. However, Ben was able to explain the process to me- with NYSS, the process was different with no impact on my credit, I am able to bank my extra energy as well as many other important factors that led my decision to use NYSS for my solar panels company. Benjamin effectively explained and answered all of my questions and was patient with me while I was in the process of making my decision. I give Benjamin a lot of credit as it was apparent he was compassionate about his job and is also a customer. I am confident I made the right decision. I will also like to add, the crew that installed the solar panels were awesome as well. The panels was up and installed in less than an eight hour work shift. I was very pleased.

Dan Alessi

Decided to bite the bullet and go for solar. My parents used NYSS and had a generally positive experience so I decided to give them a shot. My salesperson Dan is very accommodating and I am happy to be working with him. Solar is a pretty confusing beast and I tend to have a lot of questions which Dan answers to the best of his abilities, and if he doesn't know the answer he always lets me know he will research it (which I appreciate rather than just someone who pretends they do and gives me the wrong answer.) A few notes if you're interested in Solar: 1. NYSS has a 25 year rent to own lease program which is not a "true" financing option where you own the system outright day one. However, NYSERDA has a 15 year $25k true loan option if you plan to install a small system like mine where you own the system outright. Interest rates are low right now so that's nice. However, the loan only goes through once the system has been completed. I'm not entirely certain how that's going on NYSS's end (but Dan is looking into it for me.) 2. PSEG may not allow Islanding, which is where you isolate from the grid in case the grid goes down and run off a solar powered backup generator/backup. We're still trying to figure this out because I wanted a battery back up that charges off the solar system rather than charging off my credits on the grid (since if the battery depletes, it depletes until the grid goes back up. It can last for about a week.) I'm not entirely certain if this is something that PSEG won't allow (some locations do not allow it), or if NYSS doesn't currently do. Dan is also looking into this for me. Even if the two things above are unable to be done satisfactorily for me, it wouldn't be Dan's fault and I am already more than happy with how fast and easy all the permitting process has been. I'll update the review after everything has been completed but I don't foresee many issues.

Working with NY State Solar has been a great experience. The install team did a fine job installing my system and worked quickly. My Program Manager was William Leverett and it has been a wonderful experience. I had an older roof and was able to get a brand new roof with the program. I am highly satisfied with the service provided. Highly recommend.
