Terrible Customer Servic

I had a 10 panel solar system installed since Feb 2018. I made my last payment paid in full in August 8 2018. As of today I haven't received any of the three items which were listed in our contract. I was promised a WIFI Nest thermostat, a duct seal inspection., and a 250 dollar Visa gift card. I have made numerous calls to Celeste Diaz, the customer service manager and have even made a BBB complaint, and reported them to both the Texas Attorney General and the AZ Attorney General which is in the process of this investigation. I would not hire this company for any jobs since they are a bunch of liars and they are a bunch of scammers. They will not help you with any tech support once the system is running. Be careful ... beware

Disapponted Customer

New Sun Energies promotes monitoring of our solar and that is not true. We have not had full solar generation for over a year now. We got 22 panels to start with and found out we were not getting 100% so we got 22 more panels. The last set of panels were installed by January 2017. It started with a panel breaking because of a manufacture defect per the installer, in July 2017. For over a year I was in contact with their customer rep and a panel was ordered and then they were looking for a contractor to replace it. They were not able to find one because no one would work with them in Tucson. I still have a broken panel and it is September 2018 now. We have to pay around $280 for electric every month and we are suppose to pay about $25 a month with full solar. Where is our monitoring and customer service from this company New Sun Energies. I feel like I was ripped off paying $40000 for my panels on top of our electric bill. I am very DISAPPOINTED!

Highly Recommend!

Its been a year and we re saving lots of money! Was skeptical about the benefits which were presented to me but the system is saving us more than i expected. Happy we're receiving what we paid for

Happy with Install

New Sun did my solar install in early 2018- just got a nice rebate check from CPS- project was quick, communication with company was constant. Very happy and will definitely refer others.

Lowered My Energy Bill

The installers were knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me setup my monitoring system and I could see the energy producing! I have the same lower payment every month which was less than my electric payment.

Great service and people

I recently inquired about a Solar system with new sun energies and was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism. The sales person gave true, concise numbers and my project saved me money month 1. I would definitely suggest New Sun Energies to families considering a Solar investment.

Professional and accurate

Sales rep came out- didn't give a napkin handwritten proposal. It was a detailed analysis in a professional format. Very cost effective. Numerous financial options to make it affordable. Install was expedient. Very impressed.

did a good job

Found a solution for us in SRP when other companies could not. New Sun hit their deadlines. We were pleased with the experience. SRP was difficult to work with though.

Buyer beware!!!!

The system itself produces awesome energy--the support from the company is about as pathetic as it gets!! System installed at the end of July 2017 (incorrectly) and it was October before they got it installed properly to pass local jurisdiction inspections and PTO from Electric Co. It took until mid-February 2018 to get all the gremlins with the system addressed and have the system 100% functional! Elijah and Brad (installation managers) were both useless as customer liaison as they would say what you wanted to hear just to get you off the phone and then never follow up. I had 2 installation companies and at least 4 different electricians climbing on my roof over the past 6 months! The one shining light in this whole process was one of the electricians (Miguel) who was the technician that went the extra mile and finally got my system working without going into 'fault'. He contacted Solar Edge (inverter manufacturer) to address a programming issue with my inverter. Solar Edge and Miguel got my system working and it no longer goes into 'fault'. It's unfathomable that it took 1/2 a year to get this right! My fear is any future issues I may have--I hope that day never comes or comes waaaaaaay in the future!!

Liars and con artist family

Was bombarded with calls from their sales reps even after i made appointment with them. Got my system installed 5 months later and was lied to about what i was going to be paying way more then what we agreed to. I looked into this company and they owe so many people money and have been sued countless times. Family owned but they wont look out for your family. The owner has been in prison so i really wish i would have done my research on who ran this company and as far as the good reports on this page im sure they are their own employee's writting the good reviews i would NOT recommend to my worst enemy! Too bad there is not a -5 star

Extremely poor customer service

My system install was started in November 2016. It was finally connected and operational in late Feb 2017. For the first 3 months, it worked like a champ! Low power charges from the electric provider. Then, the output from the solar generator started falling, and electric bills started climbing. In August, my power bill rivaled what it cost before the system was installed. I noticed that the system output had fallen to almost half what it had been when it was first installed. Calling New Sun was hit or miss. They wouldn't answer the phone. Or I'd they did, the person I needed to talk to wasn't available. Emails go unanswered. I'd get a call back, only to never hear from them again. Finally reach someone. Oh, the person you talked to no longer works for us. Etc. Finally called the actual installer and talked to him. He's going to look into some things. Told him about New Sun's lack of response. heHe said wasn't surprised. New Sun owes him $120,000 dollars. They won't answer his calls either. Highly NOT recommended. Buyer beware.

New Sun Energy is saving me $$$$$

I have always been skeptical of Solar ever since I saw my neighbors putting panels on their roofs in the early 2000’s. That was until I finally decided to educate myself on not only the environmental but also financial savings I could receive by have them installed on my home. New Sun had a specialist come to my home and break down every cost from my initial savings all the way until my kids reach college and I was blown away. They made the entire process very easy and stress free. Now not only do I have control over my hefty utility bill I’m also proud to do my part for the environment. I would recommend their services to anyone interested in saving money and reducing their environmental footprint.

Great company and employees!!

My sales rep was very knowledgeable and NSE helped me get better financing. The install team was very professional and my panels look great. I received weekly updates from the customer service department on my project. Overall we are very pleased with the experience we had while working with New Sun Energies and are love the savings that we are currently seeing. I would definitely recommend them to any of my family and friends that may be looking to take advantage of what solar has to offer.

Excited for Savings !

I just got solar and am really excited to start saving money on my energy bills. Despite trying to be responsible, my bills with my utility company have continued to go up over the years. So now I will at least lock in my rates and lower my bills from year one : )

Did what they said they'd do

i just was installed in Scottsdale. APS is a nightmare and took long to commission my system. Finally i have control over what i pay on my ridiculously high electric bill. At first i thought it was New Suns fault but i called APS and they confirmed commissioning was completely in APS's control. New Sun did what they said they would. i learned a lot. Job looks good. Im happy.

Enjoying the Benefits of Solar and Great Service

The sales rep was knowledgeable and New Sun Energies help me get a lower interest rate financing. The installers were professional and the panels look great. I had constant communication with updates on the process of the project. I am enjoying the benefits of a lower energy bill, reducing my carbon footprint and will be free of increased rates from the utility company, SRP. I am so pleased with the system production and am provided with great service from New Sun Energies.

Horrible

Would give negative stars if I could. Terrible experience. Company refuses to communicate with us. Failed to meet utility requirements. Reneged on promise to pay our first four payments. The subcontractor who actually installed our system has not be fully paid and is now filing a lien on our house for the remaining $3700, although New Sun was paid in full by our lender.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

We signed a contract with the company for a $30,000 ground mount system. No one contacted us for months about the site survey and plan approval. We lost faith in the company and contacted our Salesperson to cancel the contract. He said, "no problem" because financing would not occur start until we had the initial visit with the site planners and contractors. He also told us that we could cancel at anytime without penalty prior to the initial site survey and approval of plan. Unfortunately, we found out this company immediately applied for the loan with GREEN SKY to finance this project. We started getting calls from them to start paying on the loan and we had absolutely not solar panels on our property. After talking with multiple people in their organization, the general manager called and proposed getting a smaller $10K system and pay cash. We agreed and called every week to the general manage, who gave us his mobile phone number, to find inquire when the new contract would be sent. We were told that they were really backlogged and it would arrive next week. Finally, after 3 months,we were told we would have to give them the full $10K and then they would cancel the Green Sky loan. They had fired our salesperson so we didn't know who we were dealing, and we were supposed to just mail them a check? We finally, were informed that the contract was cancelled and called New Sun to honor our part of the agreement to install the smaller system but instead they just withheld a 5K cancellation fee from Green Sky which we have to pay or our credit will be ruined.

SCAM!

The salesman lied to me and said the system had a battery back up and it did not. He also said that the cost of the system would completely offset my electric bill, and it was only designed to offset %40. It took them almost a year to finally install the system, this is why I started doing research. When I found out they had lied to me I told them to remove the system, after a lot of headache and back and fourth they finally agreed to remove the system and repair my roof, winch they still have not done! I called their lawyer and get nothing, we made a contract that they would remove the panels and fix my roof, in turn I would take down any negative comments about the company, winch I did, but they will not even answer phone calls anymore, or return them. This company is a scam! I guess I have to go to court just to get them to uphold their part of the contract! Hope to see an official investigation on this company soon. Only reason they are getting one star from me is because there is no negative stars.

Worst company ever

Two contractors not paid during my install, now have contractor liens on my house. Avoiding my calls, the opened two loans for me without closing one. Will not allow me to speak to someone in management. Poor customer service! Ruined my credit rating by 30+ points. Don't use them

The worst experience ever!

This is the worst desicion I have ever made. The price you are quoted that you will paying is completely false due to the rebates not been as close of what they quoted you when they do the sale. Instalation took almost a year to get completed and when done it was done incorrectly so it took even longer for me to get rebates and could not apply to the loan on time therefore my paymemt amount is way higher than quoted. They said because of my good credit i had a year without having to pay my panels which it did not make any difference since they saud instalation will take 3 to 6 montbs anf it took almost a year. Imagine I have to pay for both things at the same time since it was not completed on time. My panels had been working for about 5 months. The main reason i purchased then was to have some kind of savings on the hottest months since I live in TX. They recommended a bigger system than what I would needed just to be cover in the hottest months which I did. Totally not true; I did noy paid electricity for the first 2 months cause the momths were cooler but after that every month my electricity bill comes higher and higher and I am having to pay the electricity bill plus the panels system. The customer service was horrible starting by Brian Odle wich was extremely rude to me and screamed over the phone at me. No one in company wanted to be responsible for rebates quoted cause they said it was an estimate. A rebate estimate that was $8,000.00 less than what was quoted. You are stuck in a contract that you can't cancel unless you paid a ridiculous amount of money. Now I am stuck with an electricity bill monthly plus a solar system that I have to pay monthly that is clearly not leaving me any kind of savings. They just care about making the sale and once the deal is closed and you are been charge they could care less about you as a customer. My best advised never go to this company for a solar system.

Horrible Customer Service

Horrible customer service. These folks do not seem to care about people. They will "check into it" but not get back to you. we are spending a ton of money to have solar installed and one would think we would at least be kept in the loop of every detail. If i ran my business like these folks do, I would be bankrupt by now. I wanted to cancel my order because no one could give me a straight answer on when the equipment would ship and where we were in the process. Then the system showed up at my home. I tried calling and emailing to try and get answers, yet no one answered the phones. Everyone went to voicemail and emails remain unanswered. Imagine if you would that you had a project going on and no one really told you anything. I could not recommend this company to anyone due to poor performance on behalf of their employees

Nightmare

Worst company ever. Nobody can do anything right. The customer support is abysmal you will have to bombard them with phone calls and emails before anybody responds. The proposal said I would pay $110 a month and now I am paying $180 and the system is underperforming so I still have to pay the electric company. They couldn't install it right either. Huge regret doing business with them don't make the same mistake. Now their address listed on the internet is a UPS store which tells you all you need to know.

Terrible Service

My panels are up and working (it took 10 months) Quality of inverter, panels and all materials used looks OK and well installed. But the service this company provides is TERRIBLE.. A lot of turnover, they hardly answer phone calls or emails, I jump from one person to another to "try" to fix problems, and you got the feeling you been lied to. it is just a pain. I had a situation in where I was "sold" into a pkg in where the financing had some skip 12 terms, what I agreed and SING, but they placed me on a different financing pkg without my conscent and I'm still fighting a +$1500 USD fight that I'm not willing to pay for their mistake. I'm not happy overall with my experience and I DO NOT RECOMEND NEW SUN ENERGIES!! There are many other companies out there thay will put the customer service first.
