Everything about the experience was spot on. Communication was excellent. Pallet was delivered on time, crew showed up when they said they would, installation was professional, the electrician was VERY skilled, and the system is awesome. Highly recommended!

Run or you will regret it.

This is a company I know for its fraud. They try to say that you will get tax credits, but they are trying to short me out of $10,000 due to a clerical issue on their side. No matter if I got the tax credit, I would never want to do business with people who use lies to sell overpriced solar panels. Let's say I got all the tax credits, which would equal $25,000. For 15 solar panels with 450 watts and installation, they charged me $1,666.66 a solar panel. After the tax credit, I should have paid between $12,000 and $17,000. They overcharge. Don't answer the phone and don't do anything to prolong the situation. '

Today we begin net metering with Ameren, our local electrical company. I just wanted to provide some information about the installation and activation process. We began speaking with Kyle Beath, our salesman, in mid-october of 2025 about installing solar panels on our roof. The panels were delivered on November 3rd and installed the very next day. It took about 5 weeks for Ameren to review and approve the Lifetime Solar plan. From my first interaction and all through the project, Kyle stayed on top of the progress. Anytime I would call, he would pick up the phone. Anytime. I would text or email, he would usually respond immediately or at least within a few minutes. Kyle was very knowledgeable about solar and the process. When I had a question, and I had countless questions, he had answers. If he didn't know the answer, he would tell me and find the answer. He stayed in constant contact with Drew, the Lifetime Solar project manager, keeping everyone in the loop. His excellent and timely communication was a big selling point in the process. Getting approval for the plan and activation of the net metering was the slowest part of this project. Anything to do with Kyle and Lifetime Solar panel installation was fast and straightforward. 2/10/2026: 4.5 Stars My system went live in September and has operated since without any major issues. I am excited to see what it produces in the summer months. I was recently contacted by Tony to discuss my experience with Lifetime and to ensure that my system is operating in line with expectations. Between then and now, there seems to have been major operational improvements at Lifetime which reflect that this is a company who takes pride not only in their product, but the satisfaction of their customers. Tony offered real solutions to the issues previously encountered and I left the conversation with confidence that I can trust I made the right choice doing business with Lifetime. 8/13/2025: Two Stars Positive update: we received our electrical panel upgrade today and I am satisfied with the end result. The crew was informative of what was going on, friendly, and efficient. Thank you to Keith for being in touch this week and for being available to answer any of my questions. Reason for rating: After leaving a review on 7/7 (see below), Lifetime has made an effort to right the issues. Communication has been slightly better, however, I still had to reach out frequently and received varying status updates depending on who I spoke with. 7/7/2025: 0 stars due to lack of project management, and terrible communication. I hate to leave a negative review but have been repeatedly lied to by this company and can no longer get ahold of anyone. My experience with Lifetime started out great. We had planned to purchase solar panels from another installer, only to find out that the system in the contract was not what the salesman had promised. Luckily (or we thought), we were connected with Lifetime who offered a better system at a lower cost. Not only that, but they promised to have the system live in a timely manner. In addition to the solar panels, we signed on for a full tier panel upgrade to replace the breaker box in our home which is original from the 1950s. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call within a few days of signing the contract to schedule installation of the panels. Unfortunately, everything started to go downhill from there. The contract suggested that I would receive a professionally engineered set of blueprint CAD designs, but these never came. When the crew showed up on the scheduled installation day, I asked a few different individuals from the installation team for the blueprints and received a drawing on a piece of cardboard only after they had started drilling into my roof. Given that the project engineer seemed knowledgeable and I already had holes in my roof, I reluctantly signed and allowed the installation to be completed. The crew was friendly, efficient, and cleaned up well once the job was complete. When they left, I was told to expect my breaker upgrade within the next few weeks. This was in April, and we are now in July. Any time I have attempted to contact Lifetime since, I am either sent to voicemail with no return call or am told that the holdup is with the utility company who doesn't have availability to shut our power off for the breaker upgrade. However, last week I spoke with Evergy and they confirmed that they approved the design and interconnection request on May 5 (Three weeks after the panels were installed on my roof) but have not been contacted to complete the post inspection, nor to shut our power down for the breaker upgrade. Evergy further confirmed that their policy is to have such requests fulfilled within 30 days max, but typically can do so in 10 business days.

Wanted to take some time to thank the installation team at lifetime solar for delivering and installing my new meters and panels all in the same day. I have wanted solar for so long but was not able to obtain it because my roof needed structural repair. Kyle Beath from Elevate Solar company connected me with Matt Priester of TAG roofing. To make a long story short, I got a new roof and new solar panels within the span of four days.

I was so pleased that they did a professional job and also that they took care of most of the paperwork in permitting, etc.

Refund Requested - No Reply

Started to work with Tom Alley late last year to install a grid tie system in western Iowa. Tom was very attentive to getting things started - but the finance company declined to fund the project when they found that the property was owned by an LLC. Looked for other financing options - but nothing made sense, only consumer loans at high interest rates. Decided not to pursue the project due to the lack of available funding. By this time, I had already paid the $2,500 deposit. Just after the first of May, I contacted Tom and requested a return of the deposit. Couple of days later, he sent me a text that Jordan, the owner of the company would be giving me a call sometime soon. On June 7th, I texted Tom and let him know that I had not heard from Jordan. Tom committed to remind him the next day - - no contact from Jordan. June 22nd - texted Tom and again stated that I had not heard from Jordan....Tom again committed to remind him the next day - - no contact from Jordan. Beginning to worry about the integrity of the company - probably going to be out my $2500 - for everyone else considering this company; be very careful. Steve

Avoid at all cost, totally took advantage of my wife’s trust in them, to date still not up and running , been almost 18 months , and you do pay out the rear

Find someone else

Avoid at all cost, the hassle is not worth it. I have tried everything I can do be happy with their service, but every time they either come up short or just completely do not do what they say they are going to do. My panels were supposed to be installed last year, however, due to many excuses it was not "installed" until March of 2019. I put installed in quotations, because they came out in early March and only got the panels mounted and the electric lines ran. They failed to due their due diligence by getting the necessary permits, blamed it on the county, which delayed the panels going active until July. I had to send them several communications, because of my concern for KCP&L rebate deadlines. For four (4) months they gave me all kinds of excuses, and told me an untold amount of times that my system would be up and running the next week. Tony does not know his butt from his elbow! And then, they have they have the audacity to request the full funds from the finance company in March, which in turn made me pay money on a solar system that was non-functional for 4 months. They did pay my electric bill, but ignored my request to reimburse me for the (~$200) finance fees. On top of this, I missed out on early production of the solar panels, that would offset my electrical for the winter. I had other issues with my installation and they have little appreciation to helping solve problems. For instance, when they installed the panels, they ruined parts of my yard. They did not come out to attempt to solve the issue until August, however, they did a terrible job of fixing my yard. I am going to have to have professionals out to fix it and Lifetime could care less about my issues. I would like to tell you to do x or y with them, by why bother, just find someone else, because you should find a business that values your time and money. My biggest concern now is, what am I going to do when I have a serious issue with the panels. Thank you! Travis
