"BUYER BEWARE, THE WORST FINANCIAL DECISION OF A LIFETIME"
Doing business with Green Light Solar was by far the worst financial decision of a lifetime. Instead of the promised savings and zero utility bills, my energy cost actually doubled. So, if you have extra money and want to pay double for your energy, then Green Light Solar can do this to you like they did to me. Initially everyone will be pleasant and accommodating until after the contract is signed. They will wow you with wild promises of eliminating your electric bill and provide plenty of power to get you through the occasional grid outages with their overpriced battery options. The sales pitch sounded good but there was very little truth and a whole lot of fiction. For over a year now, all attempts to get Green Light Solar to show an ounce of integrity have failed. It is now very apparent they have no intention of making this disastrous deployment right. Their guarantee of annual power production is as worthless as their word. Yes, I have filled out their online support form, yes, I have called into their support number dozens of times, yes, I have texted everyone that before contract signing was calling me almost on a weekly basis. I have no doubt that Greenlight might accidentally get the system right and satisfy a customer now and then. But take it from me, if things do not go well with your system, you will be placed on ignore, indefinitely. For the record, my supposed zero utility bills have cost me almost $2000 in the last 12 months, which is a far cry from zero. This is in addition to the $3873 for the solar system for the past 12 months. Before solar, my annual energy cost was less than $3000 per year. Now with the current solar system and grid bills, my energy bills have essentially doubled. That is not what I was told to expect and not what I signed up for. Go ahead and brace yourself for the blame shifting and finger pointing. They are real experts at that game. They will say things such as we just installed what you were sold, or you are using more power than last year. Documents do not lie. People do and unfortunately will. Also, you must watch out for the numbers to magically change. In my case, while one Greenlight Solar employee was still speaking with me months ago, they sent me a text showing a much lower amount of supposed guaranteed production than is clearly stated on the contract. It's essentially a sleight of hand to distract from the major system power shortfall. This situation, which I have first-hand knowledge and documented proof of, makes it believable what one former employee shared with me. The former employee indicated that at times, numbers are manipulated to make a deal closeable. Now while this is hearsay only, it sure makes a lot of sense given the disastrous situation I find myself in now and the lack of return calls from anyone at Green Light Solar. You can be assured; I am not finished with this fiasco yet. While I work to force con artists to do the right thing, I want to do everything I can to save others from falling victim to this company. I cannot stand to see anyone being taken advantage of by individuals, without integrity, professionalism or remorse. Should you still believe this company is legit and feel it can enrich your life, that is certainly your right. But please, please, exercise extreme caution. In my opinion, you should print and record every phone call, save every text and email, and make sure you do not rush into anything until you have discussed with multiple people about what you plan to do and with whom. If someone objects to you recording for your records, there is a very high probability they have something to hide. Remember those who tend to bend the truth do not typically like to be recorded. Remember smooth tongue salesmen have only one main goal and that is to get a signed contract so they can move on to their next victim. Please don't allow yourself to become their next victim.

Installers great, but getting a Tesla battery impossible
The installers were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and polite. I wish all crews for other businesses were this way. They listened and answered all my questions. The sales and project coordinators kept delaying install dates, scheduled a panel install without the battery, while still saying the battery will come. It did not. It may not be their fault for failing to get a Tesla battery, but it could have been handled better. However, they did find another battery system and coordinated a new install date. The crew came out again and completed the install. Ultimately, I think I will be happy

Review of solar panels, contract
The woman (I won't mention her name) came to my home and explained what I needed to do to get solar panels. She then went on to tell me how great they were and the money I would save. She lied about how many solar panels I needed. She lied about how many batteries I needed. She had her computer and was doing calculations. It took forever to get the solar panels hooked up. The blame was put on Entergy. Maybe they were to blame, I don't know. When she told me that the solar panels would cost $106,800. I immediately told her never mind. She said, "Wait, that's before you get the Federal Government Buy Down Payment. You automatically get that and can do whatever you want with it. You can go on vacation, buy a car, whatever," I informed her that I would put it on the down payment for the solar panels. She said that would be fine. She then calculated how much I would pay: $106,800 minus the Down Payment amount of $32,040. I even have a sheet titled SCHEDULE 1. The amount I would pay if I used the buy-down payment is as follows: 18 months of $404—281 months of $404; 1 month of $402.28. The total would be $121,198.28. I said that was okay and I would do it. The Buy Down Payment was to be an incentive. NOW, if I chose to spend the Buy Down Payment and not use it to pay the loan, it would be 18 months of $404.00, 281 months of $579.27, and 1 month of $574.78. The total would be $170,621.65. The woman I spoke with today said the total would be $179,920.61. Both were based on the company automatically withdrawing it from my account. The woman said the Buy Buy Down Payment had nothing to do with the Outstanding Principal Balance. It was still $106,800. My first email had the Outstanding Principal Balance of $106,800. THE WAY I FIGURED IT IS THIS: If I didn't get the Buy Down Payment of $32,040 and my balance isn't $74,7660 why do all the payments on my SHEDULE 1 of the contract come out to be $121,198.28. I'm going to an attorney and have him draw a Motion To Dissolve Contract. The reason would be due to misrepresentation and false advertisement.

Efficient and Professional
The team from GreenLight Solar has been nothing but professional from the onset! I dealt with another company some time ago that did not follow through with their word, but green light has done just what they said. From talking to Jordan and Seth about the paperwork portion, to the installation done by Ronnie, Mason, Victor, Anthony and Jose. The install was all done by 1pm! That started about 9am. They explained what they were going to do, and even showed me how to set up my app so i can see the functioning of the panels. There was no stone left unturned. I would highly recommend them!

After sales support non existent
We have had our system for a little over a year. Installation and startup was challenging. System would not communicate with Entergy correctly, so we weren't credited with total amount of energy produced. Got it corrected was working fine. Last month reached out to CS and was told I would receive a call from my area. Never happened. This month same problem this time I was given a number to call - voicemail. I researched emails from previous occurrence and reached out to a Utility Team Lead. Was told to call back Monday and she would transfer me to someone else. Asked for a supervisor transferred to voicemail account without a message informing me who I was leaving a message for. Paying a fortune for this system only to pay astronomical electric bill as well.

Terrible service
So friendly, cleaned up as needed, said all the right things. Had a problem, no idea how to resolve, said would be resolved later. Entergy came out and left. Said installation not complete. Tried to contact subcontractor that did the work to no avail. Received bill, finance company advised work was completed and contractor paid. No wonder he’s not taking my calls.

5 Stars isnt enough
Anyone who is looking to get Solar installed you gotta call these guys. I've seen other solar installed in our neighborhood and none of them can hold a candle to these guys at Green Light. The crew got here just before 8 AM and were ready to go. The panels and rails came in shortly afterwards. They immediately got to work. They didnt even slow down. Tyler, Jacob and Javi busted there butts all morning. I thought it was going to be an all day job. No Way....... These guys were completely done just shortly after noon. We have a metal roof and it was sunny and warm this morning in South Texas (of course). There was a dew on the roof but Jacob was up there marking things out for the brackets and bars. Tyler got started on the electrical work and was finished up by 11 AM. He then jumped in to help Jacob and Javi with the rest of the install. I cant believe how efficient they all worked together. I'm one of those guys who likes to see whats going on and probably get in the way once in a while. But, they didnt seem to mind and answered every question I had. Before they left they made sure everything was picked up and cleaned up and left it better than when they showed up. We now have to wait for CPS to do their thing and inspections and give the go ahead to get things turned on. Of course all our electrical is from the mid 1960s so theres a couple things that must be replaced to stay in code. Green Light will be taking care of all that to. The wait is now due to fact of outdated code compliance and our power company (CPS) dragging their feet with their inspections. The guys that were here today are tops in our opinion and need to be commended in every aspect of what they had to deal with today and I'm sure in the past also. We did thank them before they left and told them how much they and their work is appreciated. I hope their supervisors and leaders read this review, because we feel that most of the time saying thank you to the guys that are out here in the heat or whatever the case may be is all well and good, but if their bosses dont hear the same thing it really dont do much good. These guys really do deserve more than just a pat on the back and hearing a job well done. Our salesman Sonny, was the same way from the very beginning. His pleasant demeaner and knowledge of the product was something you dont see very often from a salesman. He himself had just as much to do with us making such a purchase at our ages had just as much to do with the purchase itself as the system operation and savings yet to come. ALL the people that we have been in contact with either by email or phone have all been cordial and easy to communicate with. Its very, VERY unusual for any company to have such associates who are dedicated to service and to the customer themselves than the people we have met since this whole process started. We will definately recommend Green Light Solar to anyone who may be intrested. A better Solar company to work with does NOT exist, anywhere.......
