Satisfied with new installation

We just had out solar installed, and we were really impressed with Pablo & Trent. They let me take my time to decide if this was something right for our family, & I felt no pressure to "hurry up" before making my decision. The process was fast and they communicated well before and during installation. They were patient while I was taking time to decide where I wanted the panels installed. Their explanation was thorough and helpful. Also, I preferred the look over these panels. I had an overall great experience.

Brandon at Kota was super helpful

My initial discussion with Brandon @,Kota Energy Group convinced me they were the company Togo with for my solar project. I'd researched the benefits and they had the best informed presentation. Easy to work with team, great final equipment install. 16 panels and LG back up battery. My first two bills ,one in May , and June were zero electrical charge to PGE. I've already saved $250. At this rate my investment is paid in less than 10 years. Couldn't be happier.

Valuable Service

When Scott made his pitch for solar energy he sounded very informative and break down for me! He catered to my need for simplicity without trying to go above and beyond. Customer service from him has been great. Although I'm still waiting for the solar energy to be turned on at my house, it has been a good experience overall. Just wish this pandemic would allow things to progress faster.

Very Happy with my Decision

I first met Jim Marcil from Kota Energy at an Art and Wine festival shortly after the rolling blackouts and going solar had definitely been on my mind. I was a little timid about the overall cost of installation and not sure if my roof received enough daytime sun to make going solar worth it. Jim was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and answered my questions with confidence and ease. I felt comfortable and well taken care of from the beginning. Now thanks to Kota I'm am prepared for an economical and environmentally conscious future for myself and my family.

Best decision I made to go solar

I've been shopping around for the best installer and as a skeptical person, I've compared rates and warranties and everything else about solar from different companies. The best thing about my transaction with the Kota reps is that they don't twist your arm to push you into buying a solar system. I know I wanted solar but it had to be the right people that I would deal with. The warranties they offer gives me peace of mind that if something was to happen, they got it! So far, it's been 8 months since I've had my system and I know I'm set for the summer. Kota Energy Group by far supercedes my expectations. They got my system installed quickly, no hassle, no money down, and most of all I'm reaping the benefits of having control of my energy bill.

Get solar now, don't sweat the details (that's Kota's job)

I worked with Kota to have solar panels installed on my house recently. It's an involved process; you need to have electricians/engineers and people with expertise to evaluate the feasibility of your site, loads of paperwork to get it approved, site checks pre-installation and finally a team of people to install. The great thing about Kota is that they handle all those things. They are transparent about everything that's happening, but all you need to do is approve and they take care of all the many details. They could not make the process easier. Given the economic advantages (along with the environmental), Kota makes going solar an absolute no-brainer.

Charles W. at KOTA got us what we wanted; NO hassles

Looked around a bit before KOTA. Charles taught me a LOT about solar and made sure we both understood what I wanted. He made it happen without my doing much at all. After the install he dropped by and made sure we were comfortable with the system and then called a few weeks later to make sure we didn't need anything. Very knowledgeable and helpful

James with Kota energy was very helpful with the solar installation process. Their prices were better than the other solar companies I had met with and also had the best loan rates. James was very knowledgeable with every question I had. Going with Kota for solar was a no brainer.

Excellent service from Jay / KOTA

I met with and listened to a lot of solar companies before I decided to go with KOTA. They were hands down the best I found. Jay answered all my questions and he made it feel like he was working for me and not the company. I never felt left out of the loop of what was going on.

James Snyder

My wife and I met with James Snyder from Kota Energy to discuss a possible solar energy system. We discussed our existing energy needs and a future EV/hybrid car. James proceeded to evaluate and design a system for us. He presented a very well done graphic presentation and cost analysis. Kota included the design package, permitting process, solar installation, SDG&E permission to operate and monthly financing. The future looks bright and we feel good about helping the environment and ourselves. The project does take some hands-on but James is there to help you manage the process. This next year should be fun!

install of solar looks great communication was lacking

Chose them Because it’s the company my parents used my parents got great communication and once their system was completed immediately had it turned on and functioning, I however did not I had people show up to my house to do work that never informed me that they were coming by and when the install was completed the guys pretty much just walked off and really didn’t tell me anything as to what to expect next. Also took 2 months or so to get my system online once install had been completed.

Kristian & KOTA = 10/10

I am writing this review on behalf of Kristian True with KOTA Energy Group. Kristian knocked our door back in the fall and after sitting down with Kristian he thoroughly explained how by switching to solar we could save over $300/mo and in 10 years own our power outright. Despite the issues we had with the installation process, I am giving Kristian a 5 star for all of his persistence and determination in resolving those issues. We had our system installed right after the new year. The project was initially delayed because we had broken roof rafters but they missed some other broken rafters and had to come back out to repair twice thus delaying the project a couple weeks. We then had a main panel upgrade which was a very stressful and annoying process. We had no power and no contact from PG&E why that was the case, but when we called Kristian he immediately got us in contact with the right individuals to reconcile our power issue. We weren't pleased with the installation process and since we were installed after the new year we couldn't claim the 30% tax credit and only the 26% tax credit in 2020. However, Kristian was able to get us in contact with a solar tax consultant who was able to find other deductions that amounted to more than the total 4% difference in the tax credit. Although the process was long and stressful at times, we are happy to have had Kristian available anytime we ran into an issue. He put our needs first and would be at our house immediately for any issue to address it personally. We appreciated all of Kristian's efforts and highly recommend him.

Why wouldnt you ?

I was referred to Kota when I was inquiring through my local community of homeowners at AnaVerdes Facebook page. Right off the bat I was put in touch with Kristen and I told her the numbers I already had from a few other solar companies and she immediately came in and squashed those numbers saving me thousands plus she offered to come to my work which was 60 miles away the very next day and gave me a flawless presentation of products and numbers.

Super Easy and Affordable

I met with James S. after a few of my neighbors in San Clemente got solar and was a little skeptical of how easy he made the process out to be. Still, it was too good to pass up, financing at a low interest rate with no money down, the team doing all the licensing and permit work and net zero electric bills. After an hour or so at the table with James I was signed up and it was the last thing I really needed to do! Workers came on time and installed all the gear in a professional manner and with little impact on our daily life. A month and a half after I met James I got my first no pay due bill from SDGE and that's in the middle of winter! It feels good to save money AND power the house with renewable energy.

Best Solar Company

Kota is awesome! They were straight forward and not being around the bush. Buying solar panels is a huge investment so any question I had they answered it with no problems. The rep was very professional and she was one main reason why I went ahead and went with Kota. She made me feel comfortable and assured me that what I was getting was what I was getting. Not to mention the price was great. Other companies were trying to lease them and didn’t have the option to buy. Kota was fast and has an easy process. Thank you Kota!

Awesome experience

Just purchased a brand new home and was always interested in acquiring solar panels for my energy needs. A friendly gentleman from Kota came through the neighborhood one day. His name Daniel, politely asked for my time. I set up an appointment that same week to discuss the benefits of adding solar. The meeting went well and the decision was a no brainer. The many benefits including going green, saving money on the electricity bill, a great 25 year warranty and adding home value encouraged me to attain solar. The permitting and installation process has been completed in such a expeditious manner. Any questions that has arisen has been answered to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Kota energy group and Daniel for your solar needs.

Amazing company and phenomenal Rep. James Synder

Hands down BEST investment ever! All because of James Snyder at Kota Energy Group. We have been on the fence regarding solar primarily because we have felt every representative was too pushy like a used car salesman! Not James! He was extremely patient, answer all of our questions, and was very personable, easy to talk to. During the entire process, James texted, reached out to make sure we were comfortable and kept us updated every step of the way! James is a �Solar God�. He is extremely informative, great personality, always available and just an amazing human being! I wish I met him sooner so I could have saved THOUSANDS of dollars. Great work by James Snyder and Sterling Bradford!!

James Snyder and Sterling Bradford from KOTA Energy Group did a wonderful job of selling us solar 6 months ago. Because we are seniors, we have really appreciated being able to heat the house and be in comfort over this long cold winter. They stayed in touch with us through the whole installation and followed up afterwards. They were honest and trustworthy on everything that took place. No pressure sales and very knowledgeable

Dajah from Kota Energy Group made the decision to go solar an easy one. She was friendly, knew her product and the benefits vs.cost bottom line very well. My husband and I were put at ease and have been happy with the process so far. I would recommend Not a to anyone looking to buy solar panels in a no pressure environment that will help economically and environmentally as well.
