James with Kota energy was very helpful with the solar installation process. Their prices were better than the other solar companies I had met with and also had the best loan rates. James was very knowledgeable with every question I had. Going with Kota for solar was a no brainer.

I met with and listened to a lot of solar companies before I decided to go with KOTA. They were hands down the best I found. Jay answered all my questions and he made it feel like he was working for me and not the company. I never felt left out of the loop of what was going on.

James Snyder

My wife and I met with James Snyder from Kota Energy to discuss a possible solar energy system. We discussed our existing energy needs and a future EV/hybrid car. James proceeded to evaluate and design a system for us. He presented a very well done graphic presentation and cost analysis. Kota included the design package, permitting process, solar installation, SDG&E permission to operate and monthly financing. The future looks bright and we feel good about helping the environment and ourselves. The project does take some hands-on but James is there to help you manage the process. This next year should be fun!

Kristian & KOTA = 10/10

I am writing this review on behalf of Kristian True with KOTA Energy Group. Kristian knocked our door back in the fall and after sitting down with Kristian he thoroughly explained how by switching to solar we could save over $300/mo and in 10 years own our power outright. Despite the issues we had with the installation process, I am giving Kristian a 5 star for all of his persistence and determination in resolving those issues. We had our system installed right after the new year. The project was initially delayed because we had broken roof rafters but they missed some other broken rafters and had to come back out to repair twice thus delaying the project a couple weeks. We then had a main panel upgrade which was a very stressful and annoying process. We had no power and no contact from PG&E why that was the case, but when we called Kristian he immediately got us in contact with the right individuals to reconcile our power issue. We weren't pleased with the installation process and since we were installed after the new year we couldn't claim the 30% tax credit and only the 26% tax credit in 2020. However, Kristian was able to get us in contact with a solar tax consultant who was able to find other deductions that amounted to more than the total 4% difference in the tax credit. Although the process was long and stressful at times, we are happy to have had Kristian available anytime we ran into an issue. He put our needs first and would be at our house immediately for any issue to address it personally. We appreciated all of Kristian's efforts and highly recommend him.

Why wouldnt you ?

I was referred to Kota when I was inquiring through my local community of homeowners at AnaVerdes Facebook page. Right off the bat I was put in touch with Kristen and I told her the numbers I already had from a few other solar companies and she immediately came in and squashed those numbers saving me thousands plus she offered to come to my work which was 60 miles away the very next day and gave me a flawless presentation of products and numbers.

Super Easy and Affordable

I met with James S. after a few of my neighbors in San Clemente got solar and was a little skeptical of how easy he made the process out to be. Still, it was too good to pass up, financing at a low interest rate with no money down, the team doing all the licensing and permit work and net zero electric bills. After an hour or so at the table with James I was signed up and it was the last thing I really needed to do! Workers came on time and installed all the gear in a professional manner and with little impact on our daily life. A month and a half after I met James I got my first no pay due bill from SDGE and that's in the middle of winter! It feels good to save money AND power the house with renewable energy.

Best Solar Company

Kota is awesome! They were straight forward and not being around the bush. Buying solar panels is a huge investment so any question I had they answered it with no problems. The rep was very professional and she was one main reason why I went ahead and went with Kota. She made me feel comfortable and assured me that what I was getting was what I was getting. Not to mention the price was great. Other companies were trying to lease them and didn’t have the option to buy. Kota was fast and has an easy process. Thank you Kota!

Awesome experience

Just purchased a brand new home and was always interested in acquiring solar panels for my energy needs. A friendly gentleman from Kota came through the neighborhood one day. His name Daniel, politely asked for my time. I set up an appointment that same week to discuss the benefits of adding solar. The meeting went well and the decision was a no brainer. The many benefits including going green, saving money on the electricity bill, a great 25 year warranty and adding home value encouraged me to attain solar. The permitting and installation process has been completed in such a expeditious manner. Any questions that has arisen has been answered to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Kota energy group and Daniel for your solar needs.

Amazing company and phenomenal Rep. James Synder

Hands down BEST investment ever! All because of James Snyder at Kota Energy Group. We have been on the fence regarding solar primarily because we have felt every representative was too pushy like a used car salesman! Not James! He was extremely patient, answer all of our questions, and was very personable, easy to talk to. During the entire process, James texted, reached out to make sure we were comfortable and kept us updated every step of the way! James is a �Solar God�. He is extremely informative, great personality, always available and just an amazing human being! I wish I met him sooner so I could have saved THOUSANDS of dollars. Great work by James Snyder and Sterling Bradford!!

James Snyder and Sterling Bradford from KOTA Energy Group did a wonderful job of selling us solar 6 months ago. Because we are seniors, we have really appreciated being able to heat the house and be in comfort over this long cold winter. They stayed in touch with us through the whole installation and followed up afterwards. They were honest and trustworthy on everything that took place. No pressure sales and very knowledgeable

Dajah from Kota Energy Group made the decision to go solar an easy one. She was friendly, knew her product and the benefits vs.cost bottom line very well. My husband and I were put at ease and have been happy with the process so far. I would recommend Not a to anyone looking to buy solar panels in a no pressure environment that will help economically and environmentally as well.

A bright spot in going solar!

It was our good fortune the day Mike Snyder came to our door to tell us about going solar. He managed in his first conversation to explain the environmental importance of going solar, the tax benefit, and the timeliness of considering the net metering rate. Mike followed up by scheduling a meeting with his brother James, who took us to the finish line by figuring out the best plan for us. Everything they set up for us proceeded perfectly. On top of being incredible advocates for the environment, they are super people!

Great Presentation

Dajah Washington from Kota gave us great customer service. She was knowledgeable about the product, the long term benefits and the overall costs associated with the solar panels. I would recommend Kota and specifically Dajah to anyone interested in getting the benefits of solar power in their home. There are many to choose from, but Kota separated themselves from the pack.

We had been thinking about going solar and Curtis Dunlap from KOTA showed up one day. We had already said no to a couple other vendors but he was not pushy, smart and easy to deal with so we heard him out. His presentation was thorough and concise. We really understood how the whole system worked. The KOTA website is informative also. We agreed to go solar and we were up and running pretty quickly. Everyone kept in touch, answered all my questions and the process was really easy. It seems like everyone not only knows what they are doing but actually enjoy doing it. Everyone who has been a part of this has been professional, kind and made me feel like my install and my system was a top priority. We have had the system for a few months now and I still hear from Curtis to make sure everything is going well. That is customer service at its finest.

I am so happy I got solar.

I am so happy I got solar installed and like most people I wanted to find the best company with the best deal. After getting 10 different quotes I went with Kota energy because they had the best deal. I got the best price with the best warranties. The process took less than two months and that was during the Holidays. I have to say that James Snider made the experience real smooth and I highly recommend him to anyone looking at solar as an option.

Excellent Experience

We had met with 3 solar companies and after thoughtful consideration we decided to go forward with KOTA. The reason we chose KOTA over the other companies was because Kristian, the solar rep, was much more informative, took his time to respond to our many questions, and the product they provided was far superior. Additionally, I never felt pressured to sign with them and I felt like Kristian was more interested in understanding what was important to us and how he can help. Kristian True knocked on my door in January to talk about the advantages of solar power. At first I was hesitant because I'm the only one living in my home, so I didn't think it would be cost effective for me. But then I thought conditions might have changed since I recently had to cut down two huge pine trees that had largely shaded my home. So I sat down with Kristian and he looked at my PG&E bills, etc. After going through the numbers for cost and how it would work, I thought what KOTA had to offer could make sense for me. I'm concerned about climate change and the consequences for my grandchildren and for the planet. Solar power is essential to protect our environment from future deforestation and wildfires. My home is on a corner, so I didn't want the solar panels placed on the front or the side of my home because I have a light colored roof and I thought the dark panels would be visible and look terrible. But Kristian showed me how, with a couple of additional panels, the entire array could be put on the back of my home where they would be hidden. My daughter has solar on her home and had a ton of questions for Kristian. For about an hour he answered every question to the point where my daughter gave the thumbs up to go with KOTA. Getting solar was a bigger task than I had imagined, but every aspect was taken care of by Kristian and KOTA personnel, so it did not require any effort from me. Kristian did a great job of listening and hearing out my questions and concerns throughout the entire process. Kristian is a true asset to KOTA. I highly recommend KOTA and Kristian.

Very professional, knowledgable and efficient

I was sitting on the fence for the longest time debating whether to go solar on not. I'm so glad I did. Mike Snyder my Energy Consultant was really great to work with. He was knowledgeable, answered all my questions, evaluated my power needs and designed a system around my usage. The price proposal was very reasonable. I was surprised. The cost of solar has significantly gone down in price, compared to just a few years ago. Through the whole process everything was coordinated between the installers, electrician and SDG&E. Every individual involved was professional, efficient and thorough. I am very pleased with my decision to go with Kota Energy Consultant and I'm already seeing the financial benefits of having solar power. Thank you Mike.

We’re so pleased to have our Solar installed . I have lots of Solar agents that come to the house but only Miss Niki Van Houten has the full explanation of what I wanted to hear. Very professional and very knowledgeable! She assisted me before and after the installation. The prime example of Professionalism & Customer Service

Kristian was the first person that came and talked to us in person. I received so many calls that Kristian taking the effort talk to us in person and explain everything in a very easy to understand manner made our decision to go with KOTA very easy. Kristian was very respectful and transparent as compared to other solar companies that compounded us with misinformation regarding leases and pricing in general. He was truly concerned about our concerns and made it clear how much he cared to help us in our endeavors. Everyone was on time and Kristian constantly followed up to make sure any of our questions/concerns were taken care of. Would defintiely recommend!

Solar made easy

I'd been thinking about solar for nearly 10 years but it didn't seem cost effective - until now. Trevor McAlees of Kota Energy Group was wonderful. He patiently explained the system options and calculations, the payment options and even the intimidating contract. The 25 year warranty was especially attractive as I have a nearly new roof. Trevor kept me informed throughout the permitting, installation (which only took one day!) and permit sign off process. They are even attending to details like painting the bright silver conduit pipes to match my roof. Now we are waiting for PG&E to turn me on. Assuming electric rates do not increase, my system will cost out in 7 years. However, we already know that electric rates are going up significantly in the near future, so my system should prove to be an even better investment. Thank you Kota and Thank you Trevor
