Pablo did a great job for us.

We just got solar installed and activated. And now the app shows the production of each of our 16 panels. We knew very little about the various companies that contacted us when we reached out to get bids. But Pablo Avila of KOTA Construction was the first to come to see us; understood our desires, and gave us sound advice on what to prioritize and how to make buying decisions. We talked to and received bids from several others; and Pablo and KOTA were the best and we think the best value. Pablo explained the process; it went just as he said. The engineer that created the drawings was knowledgeable and helpful. The installers were extremely professional and courteous. We had a couple of issues (on our part) that Pablo and KOTA helped us work through. All is good now and we would recommend KOTA and especially Pablo Avila.

I'd gone through 7 to 8 different solar companies and I chose Kota. I worked with Jake Rodgers who gave a presentation with my daughter and son-in-law present. All my questions were answered thoroughly and repeatedly by Jake until I understood everything. Not once did Jake ever say, we've been through that before. Jake was gracious, patient, polite, kind and respectful. Once my decision was made, there were five guys who installed the racks and panels. The electrician, Kalil (sp?) did an excellent job installing the enphase combiner and upgrading the electrical subpanel. Again, Kalil answered all my questions with patience. Kalil's work looked aesthetic (eye-pleasing) and pristine. The four guys (one I remember as Jorge) installed the racks and panels beautifully. If anyone is considering going solar, I highly recommend KOTA and ask for JAKE RODGERS. I also want to thank Austin for his input and approval. Don't forget, you'll get a 26% federal tax credit. You don't pay federal income tax the year you install your solar.

Stoked on Solar !

A couple months ago Jake Wright knocked on my door. He was nice, personable, honest and easy to talk to - not your typical door to door salesman. We talked briefly about Solar, something I was already interested in adding to my home, and set up a time to learn more about Kota. In our initial meeting, Jake walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. I was impressed by Kota and how easy the process seemed. Jake said he would be there every step of the way to help with the process, and I trusted his word. Everything went super smooth from site visit, design, permitting, to installation. I am now happy to say my home is running on renewable energy! The entire process was completely painless, quick, and required very little of me. I am very happy with the outcome and would recommend Kota to any friend or neighbor looking to go Solar!

My experience with Mario Zinzi and the team at Kota Energy Group was great. Start to finish they took care of business. I was actually becoming friends with the 2 installers (who were very meticulous and detailed in their work) but then they were done! In the meantime, following Mario's check-in visits, I've come to know him well and appreciate the persistence he showed when signing me up as a customer. Thanks for the great work and I'm excited about not having to pay PG&E any more money!

Solar Panels

The sales representative that worked with us was very knowledgeable about the product and was able to explain the complete process. He did all the paperwork and dealt with our HOA for approval. The installation process was carried out the without any interruption or inconvenience of our daily routine. The workers cleaned up when they finished and gave us a thorough briefing on how to turn on the system once we got approval. The sales rep has stopped by to give us an update on the approval process.

Great Experience

My wife and I had a great experience purchasing solar from Kota. We enjoyed working Ray. He was knowledgeable, responsive and easy to talk to. I never felt he was pressuring us into anything we didn't need. I am confident that Ray helped us choose an appropriate system that was correctly sized based on our energy usage. Installation was completed without any issues and I felt good that the crew knew what they were doing. The installation was completed by Kota employees rather than contractors, which I believe is hard to find in the solar industry these days. The whole process was super easy and straight forward. Kota had our system turned on much faster than I was expecting. I've had other family members use Kota for their solar installation and were just as happy as we are. I will be recommending Kota to anyone I know interested in getting solar installed.

Excellent experience with Kota

We recently had Kota install an 18 panel system. Pablo Avila was the Kota rep and he was very informative about the process as we considered going ahead. He researched our current PGE spending and clearly laid out the costs and benefits. We decided to install the system and Pablo was with us every step of the way. Kota actually finished the project earlier than the time estimates that Pablo gave us. There were no surprises and we were very happy with Pablo and Kota

Fantastic Experience!

Our experience with KOTA was just incredible. When Pablo just showed up at our door one day my first thought was to send him away. But after we started talking I am sure glad I didn't. I have always wanted solar at my home but never knew exactly where to start and how much of an investment it would be. Pablo quickly showed that we would immediately save money on our monthly bill and there was no upfront investment required. Things moved quickly and within 4 weeks (!!!) we had everything installed and operational. Pablo went above and beyond to help us along and befriend us, even bringing fresh eggs from his own home chicken coop! Absolutely can recommend KOTA and especially Pablo if you are looking for solar installation in the East Bay.

Professional and Responsive

We had been thinking about installing solar for years but the process seemed so opaque so just never got around to it. Then one day, KOTA showed up at our door step. I never take solicitators but Rae Dallett seemed like a really good guy so I was willing to listen. Rae provided me with information about how solar would work at our house and I was able to verify all of it. He also put me in touch with other recent customers. Rae was extremely patient as I did my due diligence and answered every question asked about the process, financing, type of panels and what to expect. KOTA’s 25-year warranty backed by Solaria’s 25-year warranty gave me additional confidence. I’ve been happy with my solar installation experience with Rae and the KOTA team. Every KOTA employee we encountered has been very professional and knowledgable. Best of all is having Rae as the one primary point of contact with KOTA, and who is very responsive.

Rae and Pablo did a great job explaining how the process worked. I also checked on a lot of things myself. You can look at the cost of the solar installation and compare it work others in the area and their cost was below average. They use the Enphase micro-inverter technology which is high quality and state of the art. The installation and inspections were faster than I expected and very smooth. Rae has done a great job of making sure every step of the way was successful. I highly recommend Kota.

Excellent Service

Going solar with KOTA has been a pleasurable experience because Jake Rodgers and the rest of the KOTA team were always timely, efficient, pleasant to be around and courteous. This has genuinely been the best all around experience buying/doing anything that involves service! Great experience!

My wife and I needed to add to our energy production since adding a car charger and building an ADU (in law unit). We chose Kota because they were flexible enough to allow their system to work in tandem with our existing system installed in 2004. As it turned out, our limited roof space made it necessary to just remove and replace the old system for much improved efficiency. Our Kota rep, Pablo Avila, did a super job in guiding us through the process. He was always available to address our questions and get through any delays. He also went above and beyond to arrange for our old panels to be delivered to our church where they could continue to help the environment. The installers were able to adjust the layout of the panels so as to get maximum sun exposure and set backs from the eaves for gutter maintenance. 5 months after install everything is working great!

Kota gave us what the other company couldn’t.

We had a small existing solar system that didn't meet our needs, I was told by another company they couldn't help us due to our roof design. Then I called Rae at KOTA and he assured me they could make it happen. Within a few weeks we had all our questions answered and a great system designed. Rae was there for us the whole time and did a great job following up and letting us know what to expect at each step and in the end, KOTA was able to give us what the other company couldn’t and made it easy. We highly recommend Rae at KOTA.

Great service

Skylar was our salesperson, he was kind and helpful. If he didn't know the answer he wouldn't guess, he'd find out the answer. I recommend Skylar and Kota to anyone who is looking to save money on their energy bill.

I was personally impressed with the total Kota Energy Group!

We had an incredible sales presentation with Richard Russell and Adom Rllette on 2-3-21 and signed our contract. The solar panels were installed on 3-1-21. The Hercules city inspector approved the installation on 3-11-21 and PG+E activated the solar panels on 3-18-21. The entire Kota Energy Group worked seamlessly and we are enjoying the monthly savings! Thank you Kota!

Great service, quick install

Kota Energy replaced my roof and installed solar panels. Skylar, my account rep, helped me through the whole process. The project started in late 2020, and I wanted to get it done before the end of the year. Skylar and the whole team were ready and available to make it happen. They handled everything for the installation, and Skylar was super helpful helping me understand all the little details and planning. The panels went on just before Christmas, but it wasn't a miracle, it was the result of all the hard work from Kota Energy and team! After everything was completed Skylar came back to make sure I was satisfied with everything and make sure I had the app installed. He got the roofing company to come back out for a day and patch a couple of places. I am really glad that he was helping me with this whole project.

Excellent Solar Experience

I had an incredibly easy and good experience dealing with Nathan DeLeeuw with Kota Solar. Nathan explained my energy usage and how the Solar system could and would help me save money. Once I started the paperwork process, it seemed easy enough and before I knew it, the permits were being applied for. I was lucky enough to have the City of Vallejo have a really quick turn around and approve my home for installation. My date for installation was set up and again the technician/install crew came right on time. They knocked on my door to advise me that they had arrived and would begin my solar installation. From start to finish, the process was seamless....during the installation I had to leave the house and my adult daughter was left at home. She had to run an errand and the installation proceeded to go on. By the time she returned in 15 minutes, she was amazed that the garage door had been closed and the inside door to the garage had been locked and closed....plus the garden iron gate had been closed, as well. The crew had picked up all of their equipment and my home was left exactly like it was when they started. CLEAN. I would highly recommend KOTA solar and please ask for Nathan DeLeeuw, he’ll definitely take care of you every step of the way!

KOTA - A Hassle Free Money Saver

I had thought about going Solar, but had a lot of questions, and concerns with my HOA, as no other homes had solar panels. Kristian True with KOTA was informative, thorough, and very responsive when I reached out to him again after our first discussion. He also informed me that my HOA could not prevent me from going Solar. Kristian dealt with the HOA and followed up with each new development and step as we went through the process, making everything completely hassle free. The financing numbers I was provided made it abundantly clear that I HAD to get Solar with the KOTA Team! My PG&E bill is practically non-existent and I’m saving hundreds of dollars each month even after factoring in the financing of the Solar system. Kristian even went the extra mile to check in if I had any questions after all the papers were signed, the installation was complete, and the system was up and running.
