Easy Solar Install

We just installed solar with SunCommon and it was an easy, hassle-free process from beginning to end. Every employee we worked with was courteous, answered our questions, and made the process incredibly simple! And, to top it all off, our install happened much, much faster than anyone anticipated. We highly recommend going solar with SunCommon!

Good Customer Service

We bought our system from the company they used to be. Hadn't had any problems in the 9 years we've had it. Noticed an alarm light on and wrote to them. Within a few hours they got back to me with a simple solution. Was pleasantly surprised after no interaction and merging, they still had all my info and great service. Even sent me a picture of my install to point out exactly what I had to touch. Very happy with the company and my system.

Overall I had a positive experience with SunCommon. Everyone that came to the house from start to finish were professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled, and willing to answer any questions. The business model works well in that there are different individuals responsible for different phases of the process. This allows each individual to develop their own unique set of skills which allows for smooth transitions from one stage to the next. The hardest part was making a final decision about the number of panels in regards to productivity and cost. The smoothest part was the installation which was a testament to how qualified this team was.

A very simple and easy process

Sun Common made the whole process very simple and easy from our standpoint. They took charge of every step including site assessment, cost estimation, design, permitting, and installation. The whole process from initial contact to installation took less than four months. A different Sun Common staff person was involved in each step, but the hand-offs flowed well and there were no communication gaps.

AMAZING INSTALLATION TEAM!

This is our 2nd go of getting solar panels with SunCommon. I have nothing but amazing, positive, wonderful things to say specifically about the installation team. Joe and his group of guys did an amazing job installing, which is exactly the bar they set for the first time they installed. They more than hit that bar on the 2nd installation. Thanks to the installation team - those guys rock!

Elias & Crew

I wanted to recognize the incredible work Elias and his crew from Suncommon did during the two days they were at our house installing panels. From start to finish the team was incredibly professional, pleasant and super helpful. They showed up en masse the first day and it was hard to see how they were going get everything done but it was like watching a well orchestrated symphony, everyone was going about their work, taking precautions not to damage anything, being respectful of the property and getting the bulk of the work done the first day. Elias, crew manager, kept it all going according to plan and communicated with us every step of the way. The whole crew was upbeat and seemed to be enjoying what they were doing. All in all an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this crew to anyone looking to install solar. Thank you.

Great Support from Suncommon

I recently noticed that my solar edge app was indicating that power was not being generated, or reported by my solar panels. Since the inverter light was glowing green, I figured that the problem was likely related to reporting rather than power generation. I logged onto the Suncommon website and found a video and other information that enabled me to troubleshoot the problem. I also called the helpline and spoke to Sean who understood the issue and helped me work through the steps needed to get back on line. He also called me the next day to make sure everything was working and data was being reported correctly. The level of service, back up and support you guys provided was really great.

An Uncommon Experience

As in the past, our experience with SunCommon was outstanding. We had a glitch regarding our online monitoring program (Solaredge) and I indicated so on the web-based Customer Service link. SunCommon's response and explanation was virtually immediate and clear, indicating the source of the problem. Many years of great service

I purchased my solar panels from SunCommon in August, 2015 and have not had to write a check to the electric company since. While there have been occasional error messages, especially early on, the service has been dependable and the customer service has been excellent. It is very reassuring to know that help and advice are available just by sending an email. Recently I experienced an error message and reported it. Even though the system seemed to correct itself, my solar guide researched it further and found that there was a known anomaly within the system (which is aging, of course, and technology is improving all the time) so she sent a pair of technicians to inspect the system and take the necessary corrective measures. I would not hesitate to recommend SunCommon to anyone considering "going solar".

They take care of everything

The process took longer than first anticipated due to supply chain issues. Suncommon took care of all the permits and filings; I didn't have anything to do except sign. I have a solar canopy with a powerwall backup. The canopy is beautiful, nicer than I anticipated. Sales process went well and the on-site work was completed in a few days. Construction crews were very accommodating and easy to work with. They worked neatly and cleaned up any of their messes. So far, the system has been performing flawlessly. We have an all electric house and even with A/C running, we generate more than we use.

All Around Awesome Company

Our entire experience with SunCommon was outstanding! Every person we dealt with was extremely professional. They took care of every detail, from designing our system so that it will serve our needs now and into the future, to arranging financing, to reseeding our lawn after the project was complete. I have never met such a compassionate and caring group either. Our dog passed away due to cancer during the time that the team was at our house. They went out of their way to help us bury her and then the company made a donation to a local Humane Society in her name. They were respectful of our time and our property. I can’t say enough about them!

From the first meeting, when I was the only one to show up on a cold and snowy eve to learn more at a seminar, to the estimating and installation process of the PV system, and then a year later adding a Powerwall Battery , the folks at SunCommon have all been helpful, professional, and clearly excited about the work. They approach the work as a mission first, and then a business. (The Powerwall was delayed because of product availability, which was not their fault, but the panels were installed and commissioned in a timely manner, so I'm giving 5 stars for schedule anyway)

Charged Up

It's been 5 years since we made the decision to switch to solar for our home, and we couldn't be happier. While our process / goals took some time to dial in, the SunCommon team is just as much of a resource for us today as they were during our installation. Chris McLernon went above and beyond from the first site inspection, to the first day we started generating power. He made sure our needs were met with the right solutions for our home. 9 kW Roof Solar PV System = 9,000 kWh/year

Thank you Kevin Lehman and SunCommon for helping Heidi and I go solar in 2019 with a 9.0 kW rooftop system that has produced 9,000 kWh annually! This has effectively cut our electricity cost from $0.185/kWh down to $0.09/kWh. It is very much appreciated!

Design process

This was our second time working with Suncommon, and the experience was very smooth. The project was completed earlier than we expected, and the designers were very responsive to our requests relating to panel placement and orientation. I will definitely recommend Suncommon.

More than good

With 6 weeks experience, beginning at Dec. 27, the worst of days for solar in Vermont, it has been EXCITING (true, maybe I am strange) to watch the solar contribution climb daily as the sun gains elevation, and the clouds and snow on the panels clear. Already in the first week of February I am more than meeting, recently tripling, my 24 hour electric load. Sometimes it is scary to think maybe I over-sized the system by too much! But my wintertime load is slight, and my summertime load is much larger, so we'll see. But I am so looking forward to replacing my Honda fossil (although it is the best gas car I have ever had) with an EV, and my NG water heater and HVAC with heat pumps. The SunCommon crew was great, worked with me through every aspect, rolling with the changes and challenges, ahead of schedule and on-budget.
