INSTALLERS DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY

I was an installer for this company. They do not pay! When we first started that paid but it was very slow. They gradually started getting more work for us. We now have over $40,000 dollars they have not paid. You call Rain and he promises they are going to send a payment and never do. The project managers call all the time saying they will get you paid and need you to do another project. We have finally after a year had to get attorney's involved. Its sad and pathetic a business likes this hires people, collects the money from the lenders then doesn't pay contractors.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

I contracted with them last year in September and was promised our project would be done by winter. After a bunch of excuses and more false promises, it is now June of the following year and my project still is not done. We had no issues with financing or any know problems that came up. The panels were put up and all parts delivered two months ago, but they still have not come back to set it up even though I have already been given 3 dates in the last month that it was supposed to be done. I have to call several times to my project coordinator and his manager and all I get is another false promise. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Terrible service- use a local contractor

Contacted green home in October. Customer service was great until things were signed. Then everything went down hill. Had three different project managers that all seemed to be full of empty promises. Took multiple days off work to meet contractors that never showed up. System finally got installed in March. Took well over a month to get the final inspection done from Ameren (power company) because the project manager did not contact them about completion. Things finally started moving when I reached out directly. System made power for almost two weeks and stopped working. I’ve tried contacting my project manager “Q” and he does not answer calls and send text that he will get back to me. Same old story I’ve been told since the beginning. Also the general customer service number send you to voicemail. (Note to all current customers waiting for install- get out if you still can. Also do not agree to approve financing until the system is on and operational) I was told to go ahead and let the finance company know the project was completed prior to actual completion. $107k and I’m still paying $400/month for power on top of my loan payment.

Green home systems are very professional and would definitely start another project with them if had the opportunity. It's early in my project and have not had the opportunity to turn my system on full time. Still waiting for my electric company to give the ok to operate. Green home systems can only operate as fast as local government and utilities can operate. Seems like we're always waiting for inspections. Other than that, good experience!

I do not recommend!

We decided to go solar in September of 2022 and went with Green Home Systems. The salesman told us that it would only take about 2 months to get the system installed and running, he lied. He said we would not make a payment on the loan for the system until the system has been up and running for 2 months, he lied. The system did not get installed until February 2, 2023. I am still waiting for them to get the right to operate and it is April 11, 2023. Had to make a $433 utility payment AND a $300 solar loan payment April 1, 2023. Communication with anyone in the company is horrible! I was supposed to have a phone meeting with a customer service representative on April 4 at 10 am Pacific time (12 pm central) that they set up and sent me 3 emails and 4 text messages about and they never called. I had to call them and the lady I spoke with said she would personally walk over to the project manager's desk and have Xochitl call me. Here it is April 11 and I still haven't gotten a phone call. This company promises things that they don't deliver on or even produce. I am sure that they will not even adhere to what I was told about being reimbursed for the money I pay put on the solar loan while the system isn't operating will never happen as I have read other reviews that say they were also promised that and haven't gotten any reimbursement. Bottom line is, FIND SOMEONE OTHER THAN GREEN HOME SYATEMS to do your solar project!

I am writing this review mid way thru the process of having solar added to my home. I am so impressed with the first stages of the process that it has motivated me to write the review now. First step was working with my Solar Consultant Kenny. His presentation was incredibly informative and his patience in answering my questions (the many of them) was comforting...just what one needs when initiating a new project on your home. The second step was working with my Project Manager Xochitl on the design layout of the solar panels. Due to an upcoming renovation, we had to be particularly conscious of the placement. This led to me to have to ask for revisions several times from my Project Manager. She was so kind and incredibly happy to make all the revisions I needed. I am so happy with the experience so far and will add to this review as the process continues.

Excellent Work

I decided to pull the trigger on solar due to an upcoming deadline at my power company. I dealt with Kenny, and just from my first conversation with him, I knew he was very knowledgeable about his industry. I asked for a no-nonsense price quote and was given just that. Everything went smoothly and I had my solar panels up in less than a month. There was excellent communication throughout the process, and everything was handled very professionally. Time will tell if the investment will pay-off, but getting up and running couldn't have been easier. I thank Kenny and his team for a job well done.

Bad Company to do Business With

Green Home Systems, formally Green Home Technologies, contacted my company a couple of years ago about installing their solar systems on their customer's properties with a contract between our companies. In the beginning, everything was working out. Jobs were coming in and were completed, Invoices were paid on time. But as we progressed up until now, Green Home has delayed payment, more often than not, for my services which caused me to break our contract agreement. Our contract states 30 days net, NOT 90 or 120 Days past due !! I have contacted Green Home several times about the PAST DUE invoices with them telling me several lies and eventually no response at all. I have placed Mechanics Leins on the customer's properties and I'm in process of filing suit against Green Home for collections of the past and present due invoices as well as a Breach of Contract. If Green Home will just pay me the amount owed, then this will all go away. Just a heads up regarding anyone planning to do business with this company!!! I've done a little research on this company (too late) and found that I'm not the only subcontractor that Green Home has not paid for the services provided. Buyer Beware !!

Terrible customer service and late for meeting ...

The only place that I have had decent sales people interactions with is on https://www.energysage.com/ I asked for an itemized quote and the salesman, Gerardo told me that he only does that when I agree to move forward. I said that's not going to work for me. He then said, "oh, so you can shop around and compare prices"? and then hung up. These solar salespeople are terrible. They just want you to sign up and purchase before doing any research. Also, they are in Southern California and I live in Northern California, so if anything went wrong, I would need to deal with their freelance contractors. This company is NOT the only solar company that I have had terrible service with. What is it with solar or roofing contractors and their super aggressive sales tactics and terrible customer service? Avoid at all costs

This is a company that hires third party contractors that they never worked with and at their quality is terrible. They are lazy. Uniformed of local laws and local electric providers. My project took over 6 months due to their laziness and ineptitude.

Green Homes Solar

One of the best companys I have had the pleasure of working with. They are customer oriented and resolve all questions and concerns with expediency. They did all the leg work and I just sat back and waited and got updates as the progress was moving forward.

Very knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone we spoke with from start to finish had our best interests at heart. I'm glad we chose Green Home as our provider, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Veteran beware still waiting on check months later.

The process started very well as far as paperwork. When installation started and lasted for a while with a couple of hiccups. Still professional and overall good. When attempting to receive a check for being a Veteran or when trying to get a check for who referred me it has been a nightmare calling and checking for months still with no future date.

Currently in the middle of a 90k solar install on my home in Encino. This is one of the most unprofessional and chauvinistic companies I have ever dealt with. First off, the initial installer wanted to install 2 inverters directly onto my chimney to which I said absolutely not as it is a huge safety hazard and was not in the approved plans. They were supposed to be installed either side of the chimney. He told me that’s where he was putting them and I he was going install on the chimney end of story. I told him to stop work immediately and to leave my property. That was over 1 week ago and I have been following up continually for an update but no one at Green Home bothers to give me one until today when I call a supervisor by the name of Maor who was totally out of line and rude and wanted to argue and blame me instead of just fixing the issue. I gave him one week to fix the issue otherwise I would get lawyers involved and they would be paying to remove all the panels and guess what, 30 minutes later I have a confirmation for a new installer to go to my property. It should not have come to this. This company does not respect the homeowner and I would not recommend you give them your business if you like to work with companies that actually care and take responsibility.

Best price and quality in town I choose to go with you guys after lots of research

Systems is down for 6 MONTHS

When I bought the system I dealt with Robert and have nothing but good to say about the purchase. The problem is now that they have the system installed they do not take care of customer like they promised. My system has been down for over 6 months which has cost me 1800.00 in electric bills and all that time still making payments of 200.00/month on the system itself!!! The service tech (not a Green Home Systems employee) will not come install the new inverter which he has until he is paid from Green Homes systems which they have promised to do. It has been 3 months since the problem was diagnosed and still no check to the helpful service tech!!! When I call or email I either get no response or I get " it should have been mailed last week, I will check with accounting. I have all the emails!!!

Good Experience

WE had a good experience working with this company. They worked with us at every turn and helped get the job done. They checked in with us many times through the process.

My neighbors come over because they have no electricity.

I contacted them seven years ago. Given an estimate and were willing to install solar panels in this remote location. With the addition of a solar battery, I have been really happy, except when my neighbors come over because they have no electricity. But they bring beer and friendly company.

From the salesperson to the scheduling person to the installers everyone was a credit to your Company, Thank You !!

My solar is the best home improvement. The Green Home System has the most knowledgeable employees and they can use local installers. Very well done. Liz is the nicest and very friendly and has a nice way about her.

They were willing to install the panels in our remote town.
