Jason and staff were very courteous and professional. They completed the solar project very timely. There was a delay in getting the panels in.

7.92 kW Roof Mounted System

After considering a solar installation off and on for the last 10 years, we finally decided to take the plunge this year. The Energy Consultants Group came to our residence and discussed options and installation choices, then provided a thorough and detailed proposal with projections on energy production vs last years electric bills. We went with a 7.92kW system which maximizes our south facing roof line, and which has been exceeding the projected energy production levels since "going live" 10 days ago. The higher than expected production level is a deciding factor into pursuing an electric vehicle so we can utilize the excess production capacity for transportation purposes in addition to power generation for the home. -Russ W

Great Solar Installer

We got two bids even after finding Jason and his company on Solar Reviews. We did meet with both and found ECG to be by far more qualified and offering better product such as LG and Panasonic panels. We would recommend ECG to anyone and our system is delivering as promised.

Excellent job by ECG

Jason and ECG is the way to go if you are thinking solar for your home or business. Jason is very knowledgeable in this field and his work is top notch. I installed a 5.7KW system and its been working great. The whole process was quick and completed in a timely fashion. Definitely recommend Jason and crew for any solar work, 2 thumbs up!

6.6 kW LG Roof Mounted Solar ACPV

I originally contacted Energy Consultants Group when considering the construction of a new home and wanted to add solar power to the project. I was very impressed with their knowledge of not only solar power systems but also the building of energy efficient homes. We ultimately chose not to build a new home but have added a 6.6 kW solar array to our existing house. ECG provided a very thorough proposal for a net zero system including the scope of work to be completed and a full analysis of power usage, rate of return, and estimated pay back period. Once we decided to go forward with the project, ECG completed all of the permitting both locally and with the power company, installed the system, coordinated all of the electrical work, and completed all of the final permit to operate paperwork. ECG also completed all of the tax rebate forms need for our personal tax filing. ECG was a great company to work with, they communicated with us very well during the entire project and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a solar project.

56.8KW System

Energy Consultants Group did a great job. This was a large system with different challenges. Jason and his crew were very knowledgeable, professional and took the time to do the job right. Everything looks great also works as advertised. Solar is the way to go.

Great Install

Good Job, thank you!

Customer reviews

Very satisfied with the services and quoting process. The system is working great.

4.8KW Install

Jason and his team installed ahead of schedule and communication was great throughout the process.

ECG is the easy choice

We had Jason and his team install a new system and the process was smooth. Would recommend to anyone looking to add PV.

Great solar experience

ECG was great and easy to work with. Jason did all the paperwork and was reliable, professional, and knowledgeable about the whole process. You can't get better service from any of the other PV companies in the area.

solar installation review

ECG made a thorough analysis of our situation, both operational and financial.

complete 5.7kW roof installation and extra meter work

Thanks to Jason and his team I realized my goal of enough solar to equal my usage. I had two companies quote and had best response from ECG for my unique roof system and consolidation of two kwh into one. Extra electrical work appreciated. I recommend Jason and his crew for any solar project.

Awesome System!

Of all the quotes that I received, ECG was the only one to come out, get on the roof and use an instrument to evaluate what my conditions would be for effective PV Generation! We went with an LG system, and really love it! On our third day of sunny days since install and getting right at 70 KWH per day, not bad for fall! Having a tree removed today that should give me better numbers (per Jason's early evaluation). The installation was professional from Panels to Electrical hookup.. Thanks!

Easy decision

Researched solar installers in area. Out of 3 companies, ECG, LLC was the quickest, most detailed, and professional company. Jason explained in detail how he was going to install the system down to the economics of the system. By far the best solar company out there and the most reasonable! Thanks Jason! Looking forward to working with you and adding more panels in the future! Aaron J. Cedar Falls

Neat & Clean

Heard of ECG through a HVAC installer who came out to diagnose my A/C. Ended up making a phone call to Jason, who provided an excellent overview of costs & benefits, which made my decision to go solar an easy one. Good follow up & communication throughout the process. Highly recommended!

Love the Solar

Energy Consultants Group was great to work with. Made the process easy the solar project on our farm. We are happy with the results to date and would recommend Jason and his company to anyone interested in solar.

Incredible service, very knowledgeable, great communication

I recently had Jason come and install a 7.8Kw system on my roof and he did an absolutely fantastic job. There are so many things to consider when putting in solar panels that I had no idea about. Between the paperwork, the inspections, the regulations on acceptable locations for the panels, tax credits and so much more, without him this project wouldn't have been possible. I spoke with a few other installers and none of them offered nearly as complete of a solution as Energy Consultants Group did and I give my highest recommendations to anyone looking to implement solar at their home or business.

Solar panel purchase and installation

The purchase and installation of our solar panels was fast and very well done. The workmanship and courtesy were great.. We recommend the Energy Consultants Group and Jason Gideon for your solar needs.

Exceptional service

Jason always kept moving forward. The system was installed 6 weeks after my initial contact with him. No phone tag, I always knew at what point we were at in the process, very refreshing!

Another Successful Project

Signed contract in early February, permission to operate in late April. City and Electric Company held things up or it would have gone quicker. Job well done. System is on track to wipe out my electric bill this year. The only issue is that the 315W Panels are limited by 250W micro-inverters. So on a bright sunny day, with a panel output capacity of 11.7KW DC, the system limits out at about 9.8KW DC (~9.3KW AC). This only happens for a few hours on bright sunny days, so it does not have a great impact on overall system performance. In future projects, I would consider a little higher micro-inverter capacity.

Efficient and Professional

Jason went above and beyond to work through multiple, unexpected permitting issues in our city. He kept the installation on track, and once all the permits were in place, was able to have everything installed in a matter of days. We are very pleased with how easy the process was, due to Jason's extensive knowledge and professionalism.

Job Well Done

If you want some one who knows what they are doing, then look no further. Energy Consultants Group professional installation is what you are looking for. We put in a 12KW solar array and love it. I highly recommend Energy Consultants for all your solar needs. They are fast, extremely knowledgeable, and provide an excellent product for a very reasonable price. Once the all the parts arrived, Jason and his team had our solar array installed in a week. Now, we are enjoying free energy for years to come.

Solar panel installation

Jason and his team did a fantastic job to the addition of our solar system. We had the initial system installed last year and we have been so pleased with it we added more panels. We would recommend Energy Consultants for your solar system purchase. The quality of work and their professionalism is top notch.

Amazing

Working with Energy Consultants has been simply easy- they are hands on details, clean up, very ethical. They work hard to give you what you need. I would recommend them to my friends and family. I look forward to producing my own energy for the next 25 years
