Empire Solar Solutions - quick sign up, impossible installation

I have been trying not to leave a review until Empire Solar Solutions finished our installation, but they've been in the middle of this installation for so long now that I'm afraid they'll never finish it. In the meantime, if I can save anyone else from going through what we're still going through, that would be enough for me. After speaking with them in the late Fall of 2025, we got all our blueprints approved and installation was scheduled for April 9, 2026.Nobody showed up, and when we called, nobody answered the call. We finally learned that they were missing a few approvals and had to cancel, but forgot to call and let us know. That was just the beginning of an endless cycle of them setting appointments and us sitting here waiting for them to stand us up. They've stood us up so much that if they'd been a boyfriend, I would have dumped them by now. Unfortunately, we had signed contracts with them and a bunch of equipment they'd dropped off in our driveway. For months, we had pallets of solar panels blocking our driveway. Closer to the second installation date, they sent the solar company back and they started changing out some of the panels. They ended up having to change our package because they'd dragged their feet for so long. Then, when they finally installed the panels on the roof, they hadn't done the wiring correctly, so we had purely ornamental solar panels for a few more months. They finally sent someone out to fix the wiring, and he managed to do enough to make the panels bring electricity to our house, but he didn't quite wire the fancy batteries correctly, so we only get solar panel as long as the sun is up and out. That was over a month ago. The village inspector came out and failed their installation three weeks ago. Someone from Empire was either going to come out to be on site, or be available if the inspector needed to call. We called everyone and nobody answered. We were then told to sign the financial papers saying that they had completed the installation and that everything was working properly, even though it clearly wasn't so that they could get their funding. We did with their promise that they were going to resolve everything and pay the loans until everything got installed. Of course, there's a six month grace period, so they're not paying anything, nor are they hurrying to resolve this. It's been another month. Today, the electrician was scheduled to come out and fix everything. I'm sure that anyone reading at this point will not be surprised that nobody showed, the customer service person was clueless as to what we were talking about and wrote a long message to let us know that an inspector wasn't scheduled today but that it was an electrician that didn't show up, and nobody else is answering their phones. Jake LoPresti is very good at getting you into the system. He'll get you in there so fast that you'll think they're responsive. Don't be fooled. While the sales team is super responsive and will get you a quick quote and blueprints to give you the illusion that they are on it, once you sign those documents, they have very little interest in actually finishing the job!

This company fails to correct any deficiencies.

I purchase Solar Panels and a Generac Power Cell (PC) System from Empire Solar. When I asked them if they had experience in installing the Generac PC, representatives of this company stated that they were one of the few Solar companies approached by Generac to promote the PC system. After installation, they neither explained or reviewed the system with me. Furthermore, there are problems with the PV links and I can't read the Kilowatts coming in from Central Hudson. I have made numerous attempts to contact Empire Solar and they have been unresponsive and do not call back or follow up when I leave messages. Do not do business with this company. The service is horrible!!!
