Unteliable

I was dealing with the company’s owner mark and Liz . Empire was to busy bashing all the other companies they were making fake promises. Kept. On asking to get quotes from other companies and then refused to honor the promises that were made to me. They tried to sabotage my relationship with the other companies I tried to speak and resolve but Marc is to busy bashing. He should focus on giving better customer service and stop sending out estimates he does not intend to honor

Horrendous

ystem is still not operating as of 4/28/26 Still not operating as of 5/3/26 Still not operating 5/4/26 Still not operating 5/5/26 Still no operating 5/6/26 From start to (still not finished), this solar installation has been an absolute nightmare. The issues began early and never stopped. Members of their crew were openly speaking negatively about the company on-site, which immediately raised concerns about professionalism and quality. The engineered drawings did not match what the salesperson, Jacob, presented on the day of the sale, including the layout they were supposed to install. It became clear very quickly that what was sold was not what was actually feasible. During installation, my property was damaged including both the siding and the roof. While I was eventually reimbursed, that doesn’t excuse the carelessness. On top of that, the crew left trash and metal clippings scattered all over my yard and deck, creating both a mess and a safety hazard. The delivery process was just as bad. Pallets of materials were dropped directly in front of our only entrance days before Thanksgiving, blocking access to our home with no consideration or communication. Communication throughout the project has been extremely poor. Tom, the project manager, called exactly once and that was only to inform me they needed to switch panel brands because “the factory caught fire.” Even then, the change order was documented incorrectly, listing the wrong panel brand. They have continued to be dishonest about timelines and paperwork. I was repeatedly told that permission-to-operate paperwork had been submitted, only to receive a call a month later stating it was just submitted on 4/15/26. As of now, I still do not have permission to operate, and this project began back in August. The installers themselves showed a complete lack of professionalism showing up in Crocs and, on a second visit, using metal shovels on a brand-new metal roof to chop away ice, causing additional damage. This level of negligence is unacceptable. Sandra, the office manager, has been completely unresponsive and does not return calls. I have effectively had to manage and push this project forward myself every step of the way. There were also major oversights from the beginning. They never properly evaluated our electrical service and later determined it needed to be fully replaced due to age and configuration. Even more concerning, the salesperson Jacob instructed the electrician to “bury the cost in the project,” which raises serious ethical concerns. The system they originally quoted couldn’t even physically fit on the roof due to sewer pipes and other obstructions something that should have been identified during the initial assessment. This is a fundamental failure in planning. To make matters worse, the extended delays have now put me in a position where I am being audited due to the timing of the tax credits and questions from the IRS a situation directly caused by their inability to complete the project in a reasonable timeframe. Multiple staff members on-site openly described the company as chaotic and disorganized, which unfortunately matches my experience. The only person who has shown any level of professionalism and follow-up throughout this process has been Tal Naim. I was told the mad dash to complete projects before the tax credits expired caused this...here's a simple thought DON'T TAKE WHAT YOU CAN'T HANDLE. Overall, this has been disorganized, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating. What should have been a straightforward installation has turned into a months-long ordeal filled with mistakes, damage, poor communication, and questionable practices. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to think twice. i WILL UPDATE WITH DOCUMENTED PHOTOS ONCE i HAVE TIME.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I signed a contract on 5/30/2025, today is 9/16/25, and I still don't have an installation date. Before I signed a contract, Mike called me almost every day, and when I signed a contract and paid the deposit, they disappeared. I called this company a hundred times and left many voicemails, but I never got a call back to me. I wrote emails and still nothing back. They don't care.

Horrible

Alex was great. The installers were great.owners are horrible and deceptive. No per mit filed. I had to apply for it myself. I removed trees that empire told me too.electrical panel upgrade was incorrect size.inverter went bad the first week. I has to call myself to get new inverter. Told me that rebates also include second homes but clearly stats on tax form it does not include second homes.someone forged my signature on nyserda paperwork! Worst of all the system should produce 3,600 per year and only produced 2,400 in year 2019. Asked for them to add a few more panels to get to 3,600 numerous times but nothing. Worst of the worst.

I'm out 60k and pay more for electric than I did before solar

My instinct said to run yet faced with having to pay for cancellation fees I went with this company. Sadly they did not get a permit to install and got it after the fact. That was the start of the downhill process. The system does not meet the demand and took two months for reports to start. Better yet when I went to file for solar rebates on April 15th 2019 they are no longer available and stopped end of 2017. I was sold this system in April 2018 and kept on asking for the paperwork to file for these rebates. You think a company that is in the solar business would know this and not sell senior citizens on taking out a loan that would be paid for with these rebates. That is deceptive business practices. I have been looking online to find their license for solar installation and or contractors and can't find it. Buyer Beware!
