We had a wonderful experience with this company. We originally applied for a Home Energy Audit through the state, and Terado came to our house to conduct the audit and provide us with an estimate for the work. Jaden and Dontel came to our house to insulate our walls through the exterior and insulate our basement ceiling, as well as providing an attic hatch cover. They were so careful not to break our exterior shakes and the house looked pristine after they were gone (like we never had the house insulated). While they were down in the basement, they even fixed a problem they noticed without telling us. We are so pleased with the services provided by EcoSmartCT and would use them again in a heartbeat!

We had a home energy assessment performed by Ryan Dumas and his team and they were great. Really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about energy improvements. They were able to achieve a 20% reduction in air leakage in my home through their improvements. They also helped me obtain significant state rebates so I could better insulate my attic. Their insulation team led by Jaylen did an excellent job as well. Recently, I had an issue where a door seal became too tight in the winter weather and Ryan responded the same day to help adjust the seal and door so it would lock smoothly again. These guys standby their work!

EcoSmart installed our solar panels at the end of October, 2019. The installation was completed efficiently in a day and 1/2. The solar panels have been working fine – without a problem since installation. I am happy to recommend EcoSmart for supply and installation of solar panels. We chose EcoSmart because of their customer satisfaction record, and we have become another satisfied customer. EcoSmart was responsive to customer questions and concerns, and made us feel that they knew what they were doing.

Outstanding service

Every person we interacted with at EcoSmart was a true professional. Zac, the sales guy, was super responsive. If he didn’t know the answer he said he would get back to us on X day, and sure enough he did. We had solar installed on our other home (different state) and we wanted to match that set-up. EcoSmart was able to do that for us. Wanda and Kim in the office were good about coordinating with us for payment and setting up all appointments - recognizing we had to travel 2 hours to meet them at the house. We had other firms that said they would come on a particular day, one of us would take time off, and then no one would show. EcoSmart even called us on Saturday to confirm they would be there on Monday to do the install. We were worried because of the weather. Monday morning comes. The electrical team shows up at 8 am ready and eager to get to work. Again - they treated our home like it was theirs. Respectful of the pets - making sure doors were always closed. Talked through how they were going to do the install and why. Then the roofers show up. Again - great crew. At the end of the job at least 3 different guys walked all around the yard to make sure no job debris was left behind. Best part - they finished at 12:45. Recognizing we would have to take another day off from work to return to meet the inspector, they called the inspector and got him out to approve the job that day. The entire install was done and signed off on by the inspector by 2 pm. We were stunned at how easy and seamless the actual install process was. Super happy with the whole process!

Fantastic company!

I was approached by a bigger solar company (they were door to door) at first when I first started considering solar. I liked the idea of solar, but the company's reviews online seemed hit or miss. I found Ecosmart after some searching. Although they didn't have a lot of reviews, all their reviews appeared stellar - so I took a chance. Another reason I went with them is that they are a small company that primarily services CT, so I knew that they would be able give me more attention throughout the whole process versus a bigger company. I am SO glad I went with Ecosmart. I knew I was going with them when a sales consultant (Zac) came over and went over the whole process. He was very transparent and very honest. He was very upfront with the entire process. He understood all my concerns with going with a bigger solar company too. What i liked was that he didn't try to pressure me into anything and he just showed me the facts (maybe because I was already interested in solar anyway). They are very friendly, and very easy to work with. Any questions I had during the permit process and installation process they were available to help. Wanda was delightful to work with as she was always able to answer all my questions during installation and financing period, as well as always kept me up to date. From what I concluded, solar panel prices are all generally similar no matter where you go, so it comes down to the customer service, and Ecosmart has GREAT service. Ecosmart gave me a lot of confidence in my decision in choosing them. Highly recommend!

I'm the proud owner of a new solar array installed by Eco-Smart. From the quote to the site evaluation, installation and activation this company does a top notch job. The installers were very professional and timely. Steve Pelton, the company owner was on site to make sure everything was going well and to make sure I was happy with the progress. We're just about to see our first electric bill since the system's activation. Looking forward to seeing some savings and to learning more about the ins and outs of metering.

Simple, great service, and great value

I really enjoyed working with the EcoSmart team. They were really focused on making sure the quoting and installation process were as friction-less as possible. Nice people, focused on customer service. System looks great and seems to work great... oh, and it was good value for money, as well. Solar Electric Panels PV

Eco Smart gave me the option to buy the system verses lease. Ben the salesman was very easy to work with and then the installation of system was done in one day. Workers were very good about keeping the wife's flowers from getting trampled. Electrical inspector found really nothing wrong with installation and was approved first time out for inspection. Interconnection to Eversource Grid was a couple days later. Now here is the best is when the July Eversource bill came in and it was under $10.00 dollars WOW and the Central Air was on and running.

They took care of everything for me. Were very efficient. Delivered a great product and it was hassle free. John Serra, the sales representative, was extremely responsive to any inquiries and was very knowledgeable. I converted to solar and picked EcoSmart because they gave me the ability to purchase instead of the infamous leasing potions all the others offer. The owners of EcoSmart are hands on throughout the entire process prior to and continue to be if any questions arise. I received many proposals from various vendors and what I liked about EcoSmart is that the sale representative has extensive knowledge of the Solar Industry and products. Pick EcoSmart for your Solar

I did lot's of online searching/reading reviews since this will be my electrical savings (+going green to help our planet) for 25+ years and I am very happy I picked EcoSmart, They stripped my old roof & installed a new roof, installed the solar panel's, a new breaker box, installed 2 outside Ground Rod's, Grounded my copper water pipes, & Insulated my basement rim joists. The wiring from 27 Panel's/3 arrays was run in the walls/attic out of site instead of seeing PVC pipes on the roof. Steve, Becky, and their Co-workers were very pleasant to work with and always communicated/looked out for my best interest throughout the project. I plan on having them give me a quote for my attic insulation next.

Great Experience

The idea of getting solar panels always appealed to me, but I really wasn’t sure if i should do it. I had a lot of questions that I just couldn’t easily find answers to by doing a google search. I got in touch with EcoSmart home Services to perform an energy audit and at the same time, I wanted to get some answers regarding solar panels to see if I should even consider it. I spoke to Stephen and he answered every one of my questions. He was very professional, easy to talk to, and he made me feel very comfortable about the whole process. We made the decision to have EcoSmart Home Services install our Solar Panels because they were very knowledgeable, professional, and they helped me overcome any doubts as to whether or not I should consider going solar. Despite the record cold temperatures, their team worked very hard to get the job done before the end of the year and the quality of their work is top notch. We are so happy with EcoSmart and the quality of their service and highly recommend them for any solar installation.

Excellent Company

I waited a year for the review so I could share the total figures for the first year production. 2016 Electric bill $$4,303 (without panels) 2017 Electric bill $794 ($3,509 savings) enough savings to pay for the loan 2017 Loan payments $3,414 (10 year loan, fix rate) I couldn't be more satisfied with my decision to go solar. Ecosmart was extremely helpful in deciding which system to choose from. They came up with several ones so I could compare and choose the one that best fit my needs. They were busy toward the end of 2016 and to avoid being behind schedule, Stephen the owner came to work on my roof. All by himself, for two days during some colder November days. That shows how committed they are to finish the jobs on time. All the wires from the roof and attic to the garage were neatly hidden inside the walls, No conduit outside the house. They removed part of the siding and opened the wall to make sure the wires wouldn't be seen. The electrician even worked all day on a Sunday. I would most definitely recommend Ecosmart for a solar panel project.

Excellent from Beginning to End

What a fantastic company to work with. I had a few companies give me estimates and there's came in the lowest, but more importantly, John, who did the initial estimate, was clear and helpful in explaining all that was involved, what we could expect (and not expect), and what the whole process would look like. He responded immediately to all my questions, taking the time to explain anything that was confusing. Once the contract was signed, I worked with Wanda and Kim in the office, and they, too, were really helpful - they do just about everything for you. So, all the paper work the state and town needed, they took care of; they set us up with the loan companies, and submitted and filled out the paper work. All we had to do was read and sign. Installation was professional and quick - and the folks who did that were courteous and did good work. The electricians spent a lot of time working out how to best to connect the panels to the power, and made sure that I understood all the choices and why the made the decision they did (to go down the outside of the house) - but if I'd wanted something else, they would have done that too. An even better, after it was all turned on and running, they followed up with us and whenever I have had questions, they have been quick to answer.

Incredible Service

My wife and I bought a home in Groton a year ago and found our savings being completely drained by our electric bill. Having electric heat and an electric water heater, we did not realize the money we would be spending every month during the winter. After countless reviews and speaking to various representatives, we decided to give EcoSmart a try. From our first meeting with John, we knew we made the right decision. John was beyond knowledgeable in guiding us through the solar process. I thought I had done my research, but John was able to open my eyes to new ways to finance such a drastic investment without breaking the bank. Additionally, upon his initial visit, John did not just give us information about how solar could help our heating issues, but also other changes we could make to increase our homes efficiency. Throughout the loan process John was always there to answer my questions or put my tensions at ease. Even after you move into the project phase, John was still there to answer any questions. When my Utility company was confusing me in the way in which they handled net metering, John personally called them to get clarity on the situation. Our great experience with customer service continued with EcoSmart's home office. Kim and Wanda were incredible in keeping me up to date and working with our local utility company to keep our project on track to be completed in the contractual time frame. They were always courteous and informative to make sure our investment was in the right hands. Any incentive paper work or scheduling conflicts were dealt with immediately without hesitation. The person I cannot speak more highly of is Mr. Stephen Pelton. He takes great pride in the aesthetics and function of the work his company performs. He came to our home personally on many occasions to make sure our project was being completed to his highest level of expectation. He also gave us great tips on how we could further make our home for efficient and economical. I felt as though he treated us like family. He cared for our project as if he was doing this for his own children. The system looks great, no wires or piping in view. The installers took great satisfaction in their work and on numerous instances had me step out just to see if I could find any wires in view. They cleaned up the yard great and treated my home with great respect. In addition to the aesthetics, the system works great as well. There's nothing better then opening the Enlighten App to see your panels production dwarf the electricity your house consumes. I would recommend EcoSmart to anyone trying to make their home more efficient and economical. So far, it's been a great experience we do not regret. They are worth every penny you spend.

Excellent Installer

We shopped around with several installers, both local and national, and found that EcoSmart came back to us with a very competitive price with an excellent warranty and high end panels with microinverters. They made us feel very comfortable with the product and warranty. The installation process was smooth, and took their time to do the job right. They even cleaned up our home throughly after the job was complete. We would definitely recommend them.

As promised, and the way I wanted it

The only delay in the solar process came from me having to get all my paperwork done correctly with my rebates and EnerBank loans. John was super in walking me through all of my options during the estimating process. He answered question after question with patience and thoroughness. He and the team put together an option that fit our goals and budget. The install team was efficient and checked throughout that we were satisfied. No materials or messes left behind – and when i had to clean out the attic for some insulation installation they even took some of my junk away for me. The installation went incredibly fast, with the system up and running in two days as promised. To see our electric meter running backwards even on a cloudy day blows me away. To see it zooming backwards on a sunny day is even cooler. Very excited and satisfied.
