Excellent Installer

We shopped around with several installers, both local and national, and found that EcoSmart came back to us with a very competitive price with an excellent warranty and high end panels with microinverters. They made us feel very comfortable with the product and warranty. The installation process was smooth, and took their time to do the job right. They even cleaned up our home throughly after the job was complete. We would definitely recommend them.

As promised, and the way I wanted it

The only delay in the solar process came from me having to get all my paperwork done correctly with my rebates and EnerBank loans. John was super in walking me through all of my options during the estimating process. He answered question after question with patience and thoroughness. He and the team put together an option that fit our goals and budget. The install team was efficient and checked throughout that we were satisfied. No materials or messes left behind – and when i had to clean out the attic for some insulation installation they even took some of my junk away for me. The installation went incredibly fast, with the system up and running in two days as promised. To see our electric meter running backwards even on a cloudy day blows me away. To see it zooming backwards on a sunny day is even cooler. Very excited and satisfied.

We are very happy with the solar process through EcoSmart, they worked around our schedule and did everything in a timely manner, if we were not pleased with work done they fixed anything we asked them to. Would recommend them to anyone!

Niantic Residential Solar

We are nearing a year with our Solar system. Installed by EcoSmart last April, we couldn’t be happier with its performance or EcoSmart’s work and attentive response to everything related. When solar is new to you, and when you are unsure what you are entering into, to find an installer who is knowledgeable and capable is key. Everyone at EcoSmart cares and is attentive to every aspect of the customer, the product, the installation and the use and management of the system. After one year, with anticipated production of ~80% of our electricity, we are at over 100% and increasing with the spring sun. The ability to monitor the system online, from Smartphone and computer anywhere, gives you a sense of it being a partner in your smart choice. We could not be happier with this choice. We are clean, spending less and soon will be free as well as efficient. And . . . we have lots of trees and are on the backside of a hill that blocks late day sun. We encourage more folks to take this path.

Great Choice

I did a lot of research and called three different companies and chose EcoSmart. I'm glad I did.The entire staff from the field crews to office personnel were outstanding. Courteous and clean. I feel they genuinely care how the project comes out and want to make sure you are completely satisfied before they leave! Highly recommended!

Great Choice

I did my due diligence and decided to speak with three highly rated solar panel installation contractors for information about their services. After listening to what each could do for me, I selected EcoSmart. Upon completion of the installation, I am thoroughly pleased with every aspect of the EcoSmart project and know I made the correct decision. From John Serra researching my situation and explaining what was involved and offering financial saving advice, to Kim and Wanda back at the office answering questions and coordinating necessary paperwork and schedules, to the installers working diligently in some very adverse weather conditions, I am pleased. But Stephen Pelton, co-owner of EcoSmart, is truly an anomaly to the construction industry. Steve's purpose for being in this business is to make the customer happy and pleased to have selected EcoSmart as the energy saving contractor and he "bends over backward" to do this. As an example, I was amazed with his insistence for neat looking work and that electric wiring not be visible, spending extra hours and dollars to conceal the wires. Steve continually offered ways to save energy and consequently money. I highly recommend interested parties to speak with and learn what this truly professional EcoSmart company has to offer.

Great Company!

We started the process of finding a great solar installation company by determining the top three home-owner-rated Connecticut companies. We then interviewed and received quotes from all three. EcoSmart's sales consultant John Serra was much more informative than the other two companies and provided the lowest quote by several thousands of dollars! On installation day the company owner Steve Pelton showed up on our door step. As a design-builder, I was very impressed. He was here for the entire project as a worker bee - he installed the panels while the crew assisted. He was here helping the electrician. He really wanted us to be satisfied! The crew was excellent also. We could not be happier with the installation and their desire to please us!

More than satisfied

I've wanted to add solar power to my house for quite a while and did my research. I knew all along that owning my panels was the way to go. Along the process of deciding on the project I knew I also needed to do a new roof, replace my windows and siding. I received estimate for all of these jobs from about 16 different contractors. What made me choose Ecosmart was their knowledge, professionalism and their commitment to make my home green by not only adding PV, but also by doing the energy audit and seeing the entire scope of what it would need to do to leverage the work they were doing with the PV job. Long story short, after all the contractors proposals, I went with Ecosmart for the entire project. The pricing was fair and far below what the others had proposed, but their detailed proposals showed me the quality of materials they would use. They have delivered on their promises, and I have been more than impressed on the quality of the workmanship and the company's owners, Steve and Becky to work with me every step of the way to make the project exceptional. Going solar is the best thing you can do for your bottom line energy costs, while making you feel that you are doing your part for our children's future by leading by example. BONUS, you save lots of $'s along the way. Ecosmart was one of the best choices I've made. Additionally all of the employees are excellent (Mikey!) and are very respectful of your home.

Completely satisfied with PV system and hybrid hot water heater

Steve, the owner, and all his team were always professional and very easy to work with designing and installing a solar pv system and hybrid hot water heater to fit my needs. The sales person fully explained the pv system and hybrid hot water heater pricing and rebates. The office staff kept me informed of the project status prior to installation and were very helpful answering all of my questions. The installation was expedited due to my schedule and installed on time. The pv system and hybrid hot water heater installations were done at the same time which minimized the time the installers were in our home. Steve was frequently onsite and made sure we were completely satisfied. Inspections by the local building inspector and Green Bank went smoothly. Steve contacted the electric utility when the net meter was not installed quickly and the meter was promptly installed.
