I like everything in this company. The sales agent Bill Wayne was specific on equipment, installation times, system capacity, and savings estimates. It was a pleasure to work with him. Jeniffer coordinated the process smooth and hassle-free. She is very dedicated. The installation team - just awesome guys. We have an inner pipe going inside the house, which we tried to use to avoid the outer piping, however, there was an obstacle that did not allow us to do so. They were fine despite spending hour of their time on this trouble. The installation started at 8:00 am and was finished until 05:00 pm. Fast, professional, synergy-oriented teams, would definitely recommend to all I could possibly can. Well done!

Great product and expertise

We’ve been very impressed with Certasun throughout the process and highly recommend them. The 2 main factors that made us choose Certasun was the specs of the panels and the expertise and service they guarantee. Compared to the other companies we received quotes from, Certasun provided a much more thorough evaluation of our needs, answered all our questions in detail, and stayed on top of the changing legislation in IL. We were really impressed with the specs and ratings of Sunpower panels so was happy that Certasun uses their products. We had our system installed a few weeks ago and are very happy we went with Certasun/Sunpower.

Certasun did an excellent job from A to Z

I was pleased with every element of this solar project. It started from the discussion with sales to answer questions and provide my proposal. Then to the communication during the process from site inspection to full installation. Everyone was on-time, accurate and professional. Then it ended with the electrician meeting our city inspector for final approval. All went smoothly. The only complaint was that I was only sent an email about how to access the monitoring APP, but was not given any instructions how to use it or what it means. Overall very happy.

Seamless experience

Very easy experience from start to finish with CertaSun. The online sales consultation was efficient and answered all of my questions. Subsequent site visits were convenient and timely. Installation took one day and went off without a hitch. Communication from the main office has been consistently clear and timely. My panels were installed a couple of weeks ago with inspection and activation about a week later. Still waiting on full connectivity for net metering, but, you know... ComEd. Obviously I've only had a very short experience with the array itself, but the process of getting it installed has been perfect. Pricing and power specifications were similar to quotes I obtained from other local installers. CertaSun hit all the milestones of the installation process (permitting, installation, inspection) well towards the front end of the estimates provided in the contract. I would definitely choose them again if I ever need another solar installation.

Positive Experience

I had presentations from Certasun and four other companies. I was interested in using Sunpower panels as they are considered one of the best in terms of efficiency and warranty. I worked with Catia who did the presentation and the proposal, she was great to work with. She showed all of the paybacks, different financing options and all of the state and federal tax credits. I chose Certasun because they were local, had more technicians and were more experienced. In my view that is important for any warranty issues that may arise in the future. The operations department took care of all the paperwork with ComEd and permitting with the village and scheduling the job. The installation crew were professional, courteous and friendly and did a great job, even the inspectors commented on the quality of their work. The system has been up and running without any issues. My experience was very positive and I recommend Certasun without any reservations.

Great installation, management of entire process, kept promises

I got quotes from 3 different installers before choosing CertaSun. Their focus on solar (as opposed to broad electric contracting), use of SunPower panels with microinverters, and promise to pay the SREC subsidy regardless of legislation made me choose them. They managed process, from design, to permitting, to install, to inspection, to net metering smoothly. While I had many worries going in, CertaSun was very professional. Now, I check my SunPower app every day and can see the solar generation and excess going onto the grid. Looking forward to generations of folks benefiting from my decision to go with solar.

Professionalism, timeliness, and quality in every phase

The entire process from initial conversation with sales team member to final installation to the post-installation follow-up was managed extremely well. The salesperson prepared an excellent presentation and made sure she answered our every questions and concerns. The contract documents were straightforward. All document signatures were managed electronically. Once the installation agreements were, the process was handed quickly to the operation team member who managed the permit process and survey of the home to design of the system. Within a week after the permits were approved, we had the solar panels installed by very well qualified crew. Every phase of the project I could count on a single contact person who would respond to my emails on the same day or by the next business day. The end-to-end process is highly dependent on the wait time for permits. In our case the process from initial sales contact to power-on took about 6 weeks.

Quick install

The installation day was quick, 5 or 6 hours, the entire process from signing a contract took 3 months. Happy so far.

Very informative sales, project management and good installation

I had a very good experience with Certasun going through my first ever solar installation. Paul was less of a sales person than a solar evangelist giving me the confidence to move forward with the solar project. Their team of project management handled all aspects of site assessment and obtaining required permits much faster than anticipated. Installation of the panels and net-metering connection was well organized and executed in half-day. Everyone I interacted with were very knowledgeable and patient to answer my questions very thoroughly.

I have seen many house in the neighborhood getting new solar installs. many of them have scared me as I see pipes going across the roof, the panels look bad, etc, etc. I did a lot of research and found Certasun had great reviews. It clinched the deal for me when other installer was trying to bad mouth them. If your competition hates you then you must be doing something right. I am very glad I did choose them as they took care of everything from dealing with install and village and panel dealer to get me the best deal that fit my needs. I was very worried about solar as it was a big leap for me. Now I trust Certasun as I have had minor customer request calls and they have been very attentive, gotten people out to look at any issues right away, Dealt with Panel manufacture and monitoring when there was some confusion on my part. I totally trust Certasun, I have had nothing but a good experience.

A no-pressure process that was well executed all the way through

Certasun has been a great company to do business with. I had well over a dozen companies provide me a proposal and Certasun was one of two that were not pushy. The other companies all tried the “Hurry up, the incentives are running out!” The proposal presentation from Phil Doughty was thorough and very informative. I highly recommend you talk to him if you are looking at options. After signing with Certasun, I had one of the other solar dealers actually call and try to get me to back out and go with them as they promise to beat the Certasun deal. I highly recommend that you shop around as much as possible, but you really need to ensure that you reach out to Certasun.

The whole process was smooth from start of the sale/proposal stage to the completion of the project. Originally I had plans to go with an online installer who promised great service but had to cancel the contract. Glad I am able to find Certasun. The company is local to start with. Trust me, you need to go with a local installer. They know local rules and policies and how to work with local authorities. If something goes wrong they are simply a call away to address any issues. Certasun gas a top notch customer service team to respond to your requests by phone or email. Longest wait was for the local village approvals. Certasun took care of the entire process of obtaining permits and the application process. Once permits are obtained, the team completed the installation in a day. Overall I am impressed with Certasun team’s professionalism and help. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Great Experience

Purchasing a solar panel system through Certasun was a great experience. Having solar panels installed on your home is far from a quick process, but every person I worked with at Certasun throughout the process was 1st class. From the initial sales consultation all the way through the final inspection Certasun was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking to start the solar panel journey.

Finally finished my solar project! Thank you Certasun. The sales people, office staff, engineers, and the SUPERB INSTALLATION TEAM. The process was streamlined, easy and quick. I got calls from their office as it progressed and felt very informed. The installation team was perfect (this coming from one of the most anal critics on craftmanship), they communicated extremely well, both amongst themselves and me! I researched all the companies in my area for the past years, I know some people were not as fortunate as me, and have some regret's and, ugly installations.

Most professional team and amazing A+++++++

I selected Certasun after having 1:1 discussions with almost 10 companies. When I compared the information and estimated provided by all, I felt that Paul from Certasun not only gave the most competitive quote but also educated me with fair and correct information. He designed a perfect solution for my current and future needs. Some of quotes I received were from consultants and some from other dealers who had insane price with no clarity. There was lot of confusion in the information provided and whom to go with and people were pushy to get the order. Paul from Certasun was very friendly, reachable and honest in providing every inch of details. But an investment of $17000 still needed more factual check which I did and found that Certasun do most of installation/maintenance in Illinois then any other company and direct vendor to Sunpower. Though a young company who established couple of years back they had a good established customer base. The whole installation/approval was within 3 months as committed and Certasun took care of everything from village, electric company, association approvals to every inch of details. They kept me updated about the progress every week either by email or through their APP. Jennifer and Jordan who were making sure project planning to every detail, were continuous in touch with me and a phone call away. Corey brought his installation team on day of install and they started work at 7AM in freezing cold to complete installation within one day. They ensured the system has proper earthing for which they had to return next day which was over and extra and they could have left it as it is. It was truly and amazing experience and nice to see Certasun's committment to go over and beyond for the satisfaction of their customers and making everything so perfect. Kudos to whole team!!!!
