Avoid this company at all costs
I originally started the process of getting solar a year ago with blue Raven. I made it clear from the beginning I did not want an asphalt shingled roof. They said they would reach out the roofers they use and confirm they have the kind of materials I wanted which I was told they did. Well several months later the roofing job begins and they start installing asphalt roofing. I stopped the job and did a long process involving blue Raven and the roofing company. I was told they didn't offer the type of roofing I requested even though I made it clear from the beginning what I wanted and was told they could provide it. So now I have an asphalt roof on my house. So then we get to the solar install. While installing the solar they accidentally damaged my upstairs ceiling in two places. Which I then again had to work with them to get someone out to repair the damage. They did a really poor job and I now have to take the time to repair myself and eat the cost of it. The solar panels were installed about 4 months ago. The company does not turn on the panels after they install it. They send you an email and expect you to turn it on yourself(with no warning of this process).Well I followed their instructions and assumed it was working. Then I received my power bill and it is double the amount it was last year, so no they are not producing any kind of power. So I call their support number and voiced my frustration with all this and they said they would send a technician out. I got a text with the date and time and they never showed. I was also told a supervisor would call me but they never did and I have waited two weeks. My payments are about to start coming out for all of this and I still don't have solar power. All I have to show for this process is damage to my home, a roof I did not want, and all my PTO from work gone because they never work around your schedule, just tell you when they are going to show up and expect you to accommodate them. I am beginning to feel like this is not a legitimate company and maybe a scam. Please beware.

Great experience with my solar project using Blue Raven. My rep Tomasz was outstanding, always responsive and quick to provide support. The Blue Raven team was able to get my system installed within 45 days. I couldn't be happier with my choice to go solar with Blue Raven. I highly recommend them for your solar project!

Worst Solar Company Ever
I regret so much getting these solar panels, we were promised that we wouldn't have a bill for 18 months that my DTE would be reversed because of how much energy it would produce, lies i have 24 panels $60k bill and I have to make the payment to solar company of $237 a month and DTE $400-$600 a month never has it been so dam expensive. Not to mention the horrible experience I signed the contract October 3rd 2023 panels didn't get actually installed until the 21 of December then come to find out they left the system on the on position I got a $1700 bill from DTE saying I was steeling energy. Also I asked them from the beginning if my tree in the back would affect the solar, they stated absolutely not... Lies in have 24 panels and 9 of them do not produce enough do to my tree so improper installation on there behalf. They advised o yes you will get an $18k credit on your taxes because of the solar.... Lies... so now im in more debt than before and paying more money for my electricity. Smh. The rep that talked our Ears off was Daniel Buttons and I have all the names of the people who i have had to talk to, argue with from interconnections, DTE, call center, service departments. I would never recommend this company to any one. Don't rush in to it, read the fine print don't sign with out knowing exactly what your getting in to. Also they have not given me for 5 months now part of the promotion which was they were going to pay my solar panels for 18months. Worst company every.

I had an incredible experience with Blue Raven Solar from start to finish. The entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to making the process seamless. Their consultant, Mantas (Matt) Makaras explained everything clearly, from the installation process to the financial savings, and made sure I felt confident every step of the way. Matt was genuinely invested in helping me understand the benefits of going solar and stayed engaged throughout the entire process. The installation was done efficiently and on schedule. Their customer service was excellent – any questions I had were promptly answered (no long hold times), and they kept me informed at every step of the installation process. I'm excited to see significant savings on my electric bills, and it’s nice to know that I am contributing to a greener planet. Blue Raven Solar delivered on every promise and exceeded my expectations!

Installation a NIGHTMARE!
We started the process with Blue Raven in May of 2024. We had our son also sign up for the system. Blue raven was to install his system first. They dropped off the materials (right in front of their garage door) and 2 days later came and said the plans were drawn wrong and they couldn't install the system. It took 2 months and phone calls to Utah to get the materials picked up. Meanwhile we discovered that the panels we were sold were not the newer panels that were more effecient. So we asked for the effecient panels. This dalayed the project because they had to rewrite the plan. That was in late June. Installation was finally scheduled for September 1 (cancelled by blue raven), mid September (Cancelled by blue raven) October 10 (Cancelled by blue raven) and finally installed on October 14 (but no electrician was available so that happened on October 16. Each time we had to take off from work because someon had to be home for the installation. It is now December 5 and the system is still not operational because blue raven cannot give the power company correct plans and specs for the system. We have made many calls to Utah, talked to many people, and have gotten nowhere. I would stay away from this company at all costs. They may have a good product (I can't tell because they can't get it operational) but they cannot seem to install it and make connections with power companies.

Avoid these guys. Sales agents will mislead. Maintenance will not care. Messes up with your breakers and dont even care. They are risky and misleading. Save your money and put it into a better work or company but not Blue Raven solar

Terrible experience, bait and Switch
Blue Raven Solar uses bait and Switch. They record you the first time a sales rep talks to you and then refer back to that recording, saying " you agreed that the only thing that matters is what we wrote in your final contact. " Anything your sales rep or any other employee with Blue Raven tells you is likely not true and they later say, "we told you so. " Do yourself a favor and either use a different company, or hire a lawyer to make sure you are getting what you hope to receive. Do not trust that what they tell you, even when you ask a direct question, is true. This company uses bait and Switch. I was sold a system that COSTS me money each month. It costs me MORE each month because the system only provides about 25% of my known energy needs, when they tell you it is going to provide all after it averages out over a year. It has been frustrating and terrible working with this company. The communication is atrocious. Our Sales rep quit the company before our job was even installed. They damaged or property and then refused to fix or pay for it. They charge the next customers for all the materials that "disappear " from the job site. I have photos of materials that disappeared during attempted install and when confronted about it, I was reassured that MY price wouldn't change, that the next people that agreed to work with Blue Raven, would have that loss rolled into their price. It is also frustrating that instead of investing in fixing the problems, Blue Raven Solar simply gets reviews deleted and pulled off websites. How can a company that has been around for over 10 years, only have a few Google reviews??? Impossible!

3 months in, still not fully functional
I contracted Blue Raven Solar to install solar panels on my roof. They started the installation on July 17th, 2024 and had initially told me that everything should be done on that day. However, an electrician needed to come back on the July 19th for some pending items and that happened too. Once this was all done, my utility company sent me confirmation that my system is ready to operate on July 26th. I was not provided any information on how to setup the account to turn on, so they had to send out another technician on August 19th. At this point, it had already been a month since the install and 3 weeks since I got approval to turn the system on. We did turn the system on August 2nd, but half of the panels were reporting errors. This is where everything started going down the drain. They kept scheduling dates for a technician to arrive and do some work. A couple of times, the technician would forget and come back the next day. He did some checks and mentioned the installers did a poor job firstly of putting too many panels on the strings tripping a couple of the breakers and then later that the wires on the roof were completely exposed and he had to re-do them. He came back about a month later to rewire the panels and with some of them done, left for the day saying he didn't have a tool and never showed up. I only get messages from the work orders that an appt has been scheduled 2 weeks in the future but no-one shows up to do the work. It has now been 3 months since the errors and Blue Raven hasn't yet completely fixed the issue nor are they being responsive enough to talk through it. One of the phone support folks wouldn't even listen to me fully. A lead technician was supposed to arrive on October 24th, but when I called Blue Raven, they said they had rescheduled it to November 12th due to a conflict. There was no notification of this and if I hadn't called them, I wouldn't have known of this conflict or reschedule. They seem to say they have great reviews, but it all sounds like a gimmick at this point.
