Love my solar system, and Bland is wonderful to work with!

Twenty One Panels installed, and they work wonderfully! I create more than I use, so my expenses are lower than they were with PG/E alone. Bland is very supportive, and all their workers are great to deal with. I am very happy I chose Bland Solar and recommend them highly.

My experience with Bland Solar in Bakersfield was entirely positive. The installation went smoothly, and on time. My experience with PG+E was less so. With them, just expect delays much beyond the panels passing the building inspection.

I originally called another solar installer got a price from them for their panels and was going to use that company but i happened to talk to a good friend who had Bland Solar install panels on their house and all my friend could say was you need to call Bland and get a price and second opinion. Bland had all the answers to my questions and performed to the letter as far as keeping me in the loop during the design and install of my system all the way to the end. I'm very pleased with the exceptional service they gave to me and will recommend Bland to anyone looking to go solar.

I search and researched (haha!) and found Bland to be the best priced, product and service quality. I still have $35/month bill but, due to my location and the shape of my roof, it was expected.

I was provided with all the information I needed during my first visit to Bland. They answered all my questions and follow-up questions. I left with a packet of information to review before making a decision. The credit union they work with -DCU - is exceptional as well. Everything Bland said they would do they did. The installation timeline was accurate and they kept me informed. When I changed Internet providers they helped set the monitoring system up again. They have excellent customer service. I’ve had no problems with the system or my roof. The panels are barely visible from the street. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Bland Solar employees did a phenomenal job of installing a 7 KW system on my house in Bakersfield in late 2017. Colter was very pleasant and the installation was well co-ordinated. I enjoy monitoring the energy production and this summer should be quite interesting as the air conditioning costs will be tremendously offset by the solar energy production. I'm so satisfied with the solar project here in Bakersfield that I'm in process of having a re-roof and solar installation by Bland Solar on my primary residence in San Luis Obispo.

Very Pleased with my Solar Upgrade

In October 2006 I installed a 2.8 kw solar system with a local installer in the Kern River Valley. It has and continues to work fine but after I retired I found I had outgrown its capacity. When I looked around in the late summer of 2017, I found there were no more local installers in the KRV. I knew little on how to proceed except that Weldon, CA, is remote. I checked the SCE website for who had done solar installs in my area and then researched each listed. I settled on Bland Solar because they had good reviews and they were a local company in Bakersfield. I contacted them and went into their showroom next to Trader Joe’s. Colter Allison contacted me and after an analysis of my needs based on my usage data available from SCE, we settled on adding 12 panels each with micro-inverters. There were many steps along the way and the multi-step process was slower than I would have liked but the system was installed before Christmas and almost immediately I was producing enough energy to cover my needs. I am pleased that the process was smooth and without pressure and that the result was what I was expecting and within a price range I could afford.

Great process, communications EVERY step of the way

Colter Allison first priced the system in 2016, but I had to wait for a re-roof before getting a system. In the year's wait the pricing decreased. And, when Colter sat down with me, we used more cells and the pricing decrease further. Jose performed my installation. Matt provided my electrical panel upgrade and Angela shepherded the paperwork through the system. The system is great, the communications were detailed and the installation went smoothly and quickly (3 days installation, wait 4 weeks for PG&E to approve panel upgrade) and were are now up and running

Solar Panels

We have just completed the installation and monitoring on our solar system. I really have to commend Tony Morales for his ability to convince us this was the right decision. We did quite a bit of shopping around and I did research on panels to find out more on them. Tony actually sold us on the "Micro-inverters". The installation was very professional, and my hat is off to John and Ike for there knowledge and workmanship. I was here everyday and they answered any questions I had, which I totally liked. Edwin came out yesterday and did the monitoring setup for us. Very informative and regards to Edwin, very good at what he does. Our hats are off to Bland Solar and there team of professionals who did an outstanding job and especially Tony for talking to us more than three times before we made the decision to make a big investment. Compelely Satisfied

Very recently we had solar panels installed by Bland Solar &Air. This was done after extensive research mostly by my son-in-law but also by my wife and me. We listened to sales reps from companies representing both leasing as well as outright purchase plans. For our particular needs Bland had the program that worked for us. The work started a week earlier than we were initially told it would and progressed in a very timely manner. The young man that seemed to be in charge of the crew was very professional but at the same time had a very friendly manner. There was a short delay on the second day as the crew did not have the circuit breaker they needed to complete the installation. This did not surprise me as I have had similar problems in the past (we seem to have an oddball brand of circuit breaker). The crew arrived on time the following day and completed the job. The crew did have to go in the attic and the only access was though the garage there was some of the blown in insulation that found its way onto the garage floor but by the time the job was finished the floor was cleaner than when they started. All in all it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Steve, the young man in charge of the installation crew was a pleasure to deal with as were all the personnel at the office. I would recommend Bland to anyone thinking of having solar panels installed on their home. WELL DONE BLAND

Solar Installation was fantastic

Bland Solar provided the best installation and the system is very attractive on my roof. Other companies do not run wiring in the attic and leave eposed conduit on the roof which is very unsightly. Bland is very highly recommended by local building inspection employees as the leader in the industry. If you want it done right the first time, and the best looking installation on your roof, get a quote from Bland. Start to finish work was done on time, by professional employees. I love my solar system and recommend Bland to all my friends. My system will pay for itself in 6 years and provides 98 percent of m required energy. Thanks Bland, Good Job.

Bland Solar is Awesome!

We are in the process of having solar installed on our home. After having our a/c and furnace inspected we decided to replace the unit with a more efficient one since it was 18 years old. The men who came out and installed the unit were great! They were on time each day they came and offered to do some touchup painting (closet attic access) in the closet and vacuum what little mess there was. They were polite, quiet and efficient. The man who came out to do the testing (Tyler I believe) was also very prompt and efficient. Brad came with him to assist with the testing (Solar Air). They were both polite and Brad was funny to boot which I enjoyed. Brad mentioned the Air Scrubber and what it did in the home and we decided to have it installed which was done today. Again, efficient and prompt. Brad was running a bit late so he had the company call to let me know there was a slight delay. This is great customer service. We started our quest for solar with Bland due to its reputation and that it's local. It's important to be able to reach people if there are problems or warranty concerns. The showroom near Trader Joe's was the first step. We talked with Matt and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He was not pushy and discussed leasing vs. owning. We were able to see the equipment that would be installed which is always a nice touch. A timeframe for work completion is given before work is started which gives an outline of what to expect. I find this also to be great customer service. I can't review the actual solar product yet as it will take some time to be done but I know the timeline. I'm actually eager for summer for the first time ever in Bakersfield. A special thank you to Marlene (showroom), Matt (salesman), Sandro and Manuel, and Brad. Bland Solar was great! They were professional and very detailed from beginning to end. I had solar and an hvac unit installed and my roof done at the same time. I was worried about coordinating both but Bland Solar coordinated everything with the roofing company and let me know what was going on along the way. I was very happy with the quality of work and the professionalism all the way through.
