Tyzell Gaines was friendly and professional. My appointment window was from 10am to 2pm and he showed up at 10am. Installation was quick, and he took his time with setting up my new thermostat, which I really appreciated. Great Customer service from Baker!

Chris and Mike from Baker Electric came today to wash and clean our solar panels. Baker Electric installed our solar system so I am glad they were also the ones to clean them. Chris and Mike did an amazing job as evidenced by the before and after photos. The panels were quite dusty from the lack of rain here. Chris pointed out bird issues of nesting but he was able to solve the issue by a thorough cleaning and installing barriers at an additional cost. They cleaned up after they finished too. They used purified water so there are no streaks or residue on the panels. Solar retention should be improved too. Great job Chris and Mike and thank you Baker for adding this important service. I now have peace of mind that our panels are clean and working optimally! Chris also provided a report on their work with photos. Will have them back in 6-12 months!

Tyzell was professional and competent in his HVAC work and his recommendations. He gave me his best judgment based on his experience and knowledge. He check the attic air handler and the outside compressor unit for cleanliness and proper electrical readings. He cleaned the outside unit of collected leaves. Excellent company & service

I give Baker Electric 5 stars and would give them more if I could! They are a first class outfit. In business for almost 80 years and I can see why! I chose them partly because of that and partly because I was so impressed by their salesman Wamidh Shamoun. He was knowledgeable, honest, not pushy and helpful from the first call thru the entire installation process. He took the time to check and explain my pool pump and how it functioned. I increased the number of panels (my choice) and signed the paperwork. All virtually. I was given a ‘portal’ to track my progress, a payment schedule etc. I was quoted up to 3 months for install and completion because of possible delays with permitting and inspections – which they have no control over. Wendy Wilkes was my project lead and very responsive throughout the entire project. I signed the contract on June 7th by June 10 my site inspection (first step) was completed. Then the plans were drawn up and sent for my approval. Next, the permit application. Once it was approved the installation date was set. It would have been July 1, but I was out of town so it had to be July 14. Sergio was my contact for that step and I was provided with a date confirmation and details explaining each step of the install. The install team (Jose, Fernando, Kiance and Luis) were on time, worked every minute they were at my house and cleaned up as if no one had even been here. They arrived with their own trailer that contained all the equipment and even had a portable toilet delivered so once I met with Jose, who explained everything step, I never had contact with anyone again until the project was done – all in one day! I have little to no attic, so the entire installation was outside – no one had to come into my house! The next step was for the City inspection. It was estimated to take up to 2 weeks and took place long before the 2 week estimate. The City inspection was completed on Friday afternoon and by Monday morning SDG&E contacted me saying “that your City/County inspection has been received and is being processed by San Diego Gas & Electric's Net Energy Metering Department. The next step is for SDG&E to inspect your Solar system. We will conduct your inspection within the next two weeks.” By 3:08 pm Monday (that same day) I received this notice from SDG&E “Congratulations on going solar! You've been approved for "Permission to Operate" (PTO) and your Net Energy Metering billing will begin on 07/xx/2022. We want to help you make the most of the renewable energy you generate. Start with successful solar tips in our attached guide”. In less than an hour Baker Electric connected me to the Enphase app and website and I am happily watching my system produce energy. It is fascinating to watch! I HIGHLY recommend Baker Electric to anyone looking to add Solar!

Transfer from Sullivan to Baker

I was looking for another company when Sullivan stopped doing business (and my home battery was in hibernation). I reached out to Baker and over the next 4-6 weeks, they made this happen and took my battery out of hibernation. That may seem like a long time, but they communicated up front that they were very busy helping a number of former Sullivan customers, and they executed step-wise with the necessary documents, etc. I don't have any experience with Baker installing or repairing my system but should I notice that my system isn't performing, I'm confident that I can call on them.

This Company is the best !

We had our panels installed on a Monday and had City inspections by Thursday. We had PTO from SDGE that same day! We also required roof repair and the Sequoia team is the best ! Communication with Baker is top notch, we will only recommend them to family and friends.

Solar done right

The whole experience with Baker has been excellent starting with Eric Ramirez my sales representative. I did a lot of reviews on solar companies and panels. Baker had great reviews across the board. Very fair price and walked me through the entire process. Eric didn’t paint any false pictures of how long the process would be. It is a long process but it was completed right when he told me it would be. The installation team was also very professional and did a great job and left the site cleaner than when they arrived. I’m very happy I chose Baker and would highly recommend them and especially Eric Ramirez and his professionalism and no pressure sales technique as well as his complete honesty and transparency of everything solar.

Solar system review

I would like to start by first saying I had almost 10 different solar companies come to our residence for quotes. Baker was by far the most professional and it definitely was the least pushy when it came to selling their product. From start to finish, I was kept in the loop And nothing was a surprise during this process. For several reasons I chose Baker electric and I am extremely happy that my wife and I picked them.

Steve was amazing. Spent a couple hours explaining how the system works. Going over my electrical usage for the year to system size my solar . Baker Electric was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and installed a high quality system which was competitively priced. The installers were clean and thorough (even had their own porta-potty ). They did not add any expenses and kept their word throughout the process I would recommend them to friends and neighbors. They stayed in touch throughout the entire process.

Should not have waited so long

Our last electric bill was just over $10.00! This system (Using Sun Power panels) has been (as it should be) flawless. We delayed putting in solar primarily because the technology was moving ahead so fast. Well, we finally decided to put it in when out summer and winter electric bills came between $200.00 - $300.00. Yes, it is not installed for free, but the saving are immediate. I got quote from 3 different solar companies and all 3 had the same data to work with. Baker was, by my estimation the most professional and least expensive with the equipment I chose to use. Because the roof was 34 years old I also had them coordinate with the roofer during installation. All went extremely well. The roofer said to have them come on a certain day, I coordinated with Baker. They came and had the installation done, up and running in one day - after they had been on the roof to put in mounting studs. Baker has followed up and I would like to point out, and a shout out for Brian Bastien as our sales rep. I could not recommend him more! And thank you Baker! Terry

Baker Elect Solar installation

I've been avoiding putting Solar panels on my roof because I didn't want to deal with the sales people. Last SDGE rate increase came along and I had to deal with it. Baker Electric was recommended by friends. I called Brian our Sales Rep and he was a pleasure to deal with. Straight shooter. The install was painless and the quality of work was outstanding. The guys doing the install were EZ to deal with and very efficient. The price was competitive with other companies. Reputation is everything to me as I've run or owned a business for over 55 years. When SDG&E came out to do final inspection on the power panel etc, the guy was not in a good mood. When he asked who did the install I told him it was Baker Electric. His entire mood brightened and he said, "Thank God, I'll sleep well tonight." That's when I knew I made the right decision in using Baker Electric for my Solar install. I have recommended them to friends and family and they are very pleased with the entire process. Financing was a breeze and I thank Baker Electric for their recommendation of SD Metropolitan Credit Union.

Thankful we got solar!

We have had solar for about two months now and very grateful that we got it. It's allowed us to use our A/C during the heat, with no hesitation. We also bought an electric car, and our now driving around without needing to buy gas. We love having solar. Baker Electric has the best employees and each step was a success. Our Solar introduction, installation and ramp-up went seamless, beyond our wildest expectations. Great Experience with Baker

I talked to at least half a dozen solar installer before deciding on Baker. Eric, the sale rep, was knowledgeable, courteous, and responsive. He is a big reason why I decided on Baker. After agreeing to move forward, the team at Baker were professional and dependable. The one hiccup and surprise is the requirement to do a roof underlayment reset in order for the roof penetration warranty to be effected. That increased my cost by another 35%, which I didn't expect and wasn't planning on it.

It may not have been the cheapest way to go with Baker Electric; however, it will be down the road. Everyone in the origanization was beyond professional. Everything was done timely, even when a septic leach field had to change the installation from a ground mount to roof they did the work, without extra costs. I just loved my sales person Eric who was more informative than any I had interview, 10 at least. The workers who did the intallation were knowledgeble, on time, completed their jobs on time, & were very courteous to us and our property. Not to forgot Debbie from the office, who kept me up to date when & what was happening along to the process from installation to inpections to turning the solar on. Even months afterwards, she has even been there to answer my dumb questions. I am very tight with my money, but I would do it all over again with Baker Electric Solar, thank you for being so professional, & my solar panels are working beautifully. 50 days from Signed Contract to Operating

Very pleased with Baker Electric and their entire crew Just finished having them install a 12 kW system. It was operating within 50 days of signing the contract - and this included two major holidays (Memorial Day & 4th of July) This was a cash purchase on a house I plan on living in for a very long time. I was looking for a QUALITY installation - equipment and workmanship. Baker uses a 'double flashed' roof mounting system (QuikMount PV) that a highly recommend to avoid any roof problems. These guys really know what they are doing and they are not afraid of roofing. I had (5) 'dormer' type attic vents and several plumbing stacks that needed to be moved. I hate the "SolarCity" style installation where they place panels all over your roof because something is in the way. Baker showed up every day (4 day install) on time and got it done. They also cleaned up each night after they were done for the day. They relocated the plumbing vents and changed the vents to the flat "O'hagin" style. No exposed conduit on the roof - it is all in the attic. I have a short run of conduit down from the 2nd floor to the attic over the 1st floor - but everything looks great. First rate job at a great price - I highly recommend them

Baker Electric Solar was an absolute dream team to work with and install our solar system. Every member of the Baker team from sales , to the project coordinator, to the installation team were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and responsive to any question and procedure. I have wanted solar power for decades. There's a song with a line in it " turn off the fire and turn to the sun". It just makes since in so many ways. I'm glad that I choice Baker Electric for our solar system. They were very professional from the star. Solar Electric

The whole process of getting a solar system from Baker Electric Solar was very good. There were no high pressure sales tactics just honest answers to all questions and we were then given several options that could work for us. There was no pressure to give a immediate answer. The installation of our system went very smoothly with no inconvenience to us. The city inspector who came to complete the permit process said " Baker does good work." I've never heard an inspector comment on workmanship before. The system is working great and is everything we were told it would be.

Stress free and great quality

They had every step covered from the beginning to end. They were professional throughout. The salesman was not pushy and was a straight shooter. I interviewed six companies and they were the third lowest in price (by less than 1k) but the other two quotes were fly by nighters. They came recommended and I recommend them. The installers were clean and thorough (even had their own port a pottie). They did not add any expenses and kept their word throughout the process. They are reliable and will be around in 20 years which is important for warranty reasons. I did the HERO program with them and they handled all the financing paperwork except for a few docu sign signatures. System is producing more than expected so far but that's likely due to great sun. Strongly recommend them.
