American Sentry Solar

Solar made easy

American Sentry made the process of going Solar painless and easy, The installers were more than happy to talk about and explain the system and the process. The salesman thoroughly covered all the options and different ways of financing the system and explained the benefits completely. I am very happy with the install and appearance of the panels and have gotten a lot of compliments on how it looks.

My Solar Experience

My salesman was prompt and very knowledgeable about the function of the solar panels, installation process, pricing, and available credits. I was so impressed with him and his presentation that I signed a contract that same day! The installers arrived at the scheduled time and were very professional. They worked efficiently to install my 26 panel system and instructed me on how to monitor my daily energy production by accessing an app on my smart phone. My cost savings is enormous! I realized that I should have chosen to do this a long time ago. I am one happy customer. Thanks American Design and Build!

They Make It Easy

The process was seamless, from sales through installation which only took two days for 50 panels. American Sentry Solar also filled out much of the paperwork needed in the process, just requiring our signatures. The only hiccup was some communication issues with the Envoy. It took a few times times from different members of the crew to come out and work on this before final resolution. But they were dedicated to completing the job and having it working correctly. We also love the web login and interface to see how the panels are doing. We call it our new computer game as we have become somewhat fixated on checking this out each day to see how much energy we are generating and how much money we are saving!

SOLAR PANEL INSTALATION

We made a sound decision in our life, and that was to go solar; so far it's been great. They came in and install them in one day, but then pepco came right behind them the following week(2) to switch out my meter, as soon as they put the new meter in power up and that's it. I haven't had any problems they didn't leave any mess and did everthing they said they were going to do. In the long run i can see my savings, this is a good buy.

Seamless Process

We have always been big believers in leveraging renewable energy and especially solar. We had heard radio adverts about solar installations by American Sentry Solar but always thought that the decision was very far from our reach. We never had a budget and it wasn't anywhere in our short term financial needs either. One day, a sponsored Solar advert popped up on my Facebook feed about a program that Maryland was giving to qualifying families and that's how we renewed my solar installation plan. The website gave 4 participating companies and that each would call me to see if we qualified. One of the 4 companies called and told me that we didn't qualify for the program, 2 called and as I later found out one did business with another and I somehow felt conflicted choosing one or the other since one had called first and talked the process over with me and offered to install solar free for a minimal monthly fee (The number was so precise, it scared me). Lastly, American Sentry Solar called and told us they would help us instal a system that we would own. The cost though was prohibitive and we almost gave up on the solar, seeing that it wasn't anywhere in our short term financial goals. The Associate that visited our house gave a number of financing options that made the decision easier for us. Remembering how high our electrical bill went every winter season was reason enough for us to lock-in a monthly cost that would be stabilized by our solar units. The process henceforth took about 2 months and at some point we thought that the plan had aborted. In hindsight after the seamless approval, installation and commissioning of our system we appreciated the fact that American Sentry Solar did all the hard work without much involvement from us. To our amazement, the installation was completed in one day. We are very excited and satisfied clients because we know for sure installing solar was a worthwhile investment and thank the American Sentry Solar team for helping us through it all. We love the online system that monitors and records the daily production by our panels. We so love everything about our solar project. We are excited about the possibility of seeing a much lower bill between December-March each year. Thanks again. Raymond & Brenda

Installation went pretty smooth. Guys were very professional.

I did my research. I'm glad I waited. I almost went with another company, but just before I signed the papers they showed their true colors and became really pushy. I came across American Sentry Solar by reference when I had my home assessed for energy consumption. They were professional from consultation, to financing and on through the installation. There were some time gaps in communication, but they were always on point when they called and let me know exactly where we were in the process. The professionalism isn't just in the sales pitch. The installation guys have a very hard job but you could tell that a lot of them really enjoy what they're doing. It was very hot, but they all really maintained a high level of energy and seeing things though. They all also had a great sense of humor. They answered my dumb questions. They broke everything down for me. When there were issues, they assessed it, figured out the best course of action and executed it all in a very timely manner. I have 44 panels and it still only took 1.5 days to install. I'm still in the process where it hasn't been officially turned on yet, but I'm very excited. Larry already showed me how the app works and looks on his phone during the activation. I can't wait to see how much this system saves me. There was only 1 small mishap, but they've assured me the extra holes they had to cut will be patched and painted. I'm confident in their commitment to the customers happiness.

My experience with american sentry solar

i am very pleased from start to finish. After talking to 5 different solar companies. American Sentry Solar stood out from all the rest. They were very knowledgeable and professional and treated me with integrity. Everyone else i dealt with said it would be 6 to 8 weeks. American Sentry Solar completed job start to finish in 2 weeks. That was installation, permits, inspection., and solar net meter installed. Simply flawless. If your thinking of going solar, American Sentry Solar is the way to go. Thanks for everything. Wonderful company

My husband and I recently purchased solar panels with you and we have been nothing but pleased during the entire process. Our free home estimate with Connor was in February after we had already met with Solar City and were not happy with their options. Connor spelled out the entire process, the roof and attic survey, financing, electricity production, rebates and all of the necessary permits and inspections. Gailan was great about keeping us in the loop about where we were in the process, getting necessary paperwork to us, and in scheduling the installation and inspections. The installation crew was efficient and polite, all wiring and 36 panels were installed within 2 days and completed on May 25th. Adam made the trip down for each of the necessary county and electric company inspections and was wonderful about answering questions. ADB handled all of the county permits, county inspections and connecting with our electric company to have the proper meter installed. We are over a 2 hour drive here in Calvert County from where ADB is located, and the employees that made the drives down here never had any complaints. We have already received many compliments on how nice our panels look compared to many other solar installs in the area. We were officially turned on live on June 21st and we are excited to see our electric production and savings! The online availability to see our daily production is a great tool as well. We will be spreading the word about American Sentry here in Calvert County for sure.

professional/great product

I am beyond satisfied with my decision to go solar with American Sentry. They are a great company to work with... always available to answer questions, quick in the process, and provided a great product.

American Sentry Solar - Awesome Company to Deal With!

At the end of May, we became official "greenies". Thank you American Design and Build for providing our ground mounted solar system and "a made in the USA" product!! You have an awesome team to work with and it was great that you handled the entire process from start to completion...so effortless on our part!!! We highly recommend this company if you are considering going solar and owning your own energy source and all the environmental benefits (and financial benefits) of going that path for future generations. P.S.: Nice feature: I can sign into their app and check my solar production. Plus, I can already see my savings on the BGE website, "My Green Button Data" feature!!! Sweet!!

American Century Solar was great

American Century Solar was great: Sales pitch was not too pushy . . . Explanation and evaluations of their Solar Systems and usage types was good (we bought ours) . . . If you have a question they would have one of their experts explain it in layman terms . . . Panels were installed without a hitch (I did have to build a small wall door to cover the inside solar on off switch/box (a little smaller than a fuse box) . . . Inspectors and BGE were setup by American Century Solar per my schedule . . . They help/guide you through the rebates you qualify for . . . They were here when we turned the system on and all is working well . . . And now I can sign into their app and check my solar production. Next thing in line is to see my huge electric savings! RonC

Richard A. Makola

I could not have ask for a better company to install my solar system. They are the most professional team of people I have ever dealt with. They worked with us to ensure that we understood the process and Mr. Gailan Winsel-Strow was outstanding. If called him and left a message you rest assure he will return your call. The installers a great group who are very knowledgeable and extremely talented. Once the work was completed they ensured everything remained clean and safe. Without doubt anyone who plans to add solar power to their home should to hesitate to call American Sentry Solar. They are "Top Notch" Company! You can be rest assured that American Sentry Solar will ensure that they will only use what is best for consumers.

Great Service

Both the customer service staff and site crew was very professional and experienced. We were extremely satisfied with their work. The best contractors we have used to date. The site crew went out of way to fix latch on gate which they didn't break. GREAT COMPANY! PS... they even liked our dog Seamus.

Great Job on Roof and Solar Array

American Sentry Solar were prompt and finished the roof and solar panels as promised. We have been pleasantly surprised by the production of our array despite the poor weather the last few months. Can't wait to see what the panels will do in the Summer. Very happy with the results.

Outstanding Service

We contacted a lot of companies. American Sentry Solar, a division of American Design and Build provided the most realistic financial cost/benefit scenario using our energy consumption history. We were given information on the manufacturer of solar panels and the monitoring system. The pride and faith you have in your systems was very evident in our conversation and made us feel very secure in our decision to go ahead with the purchase and installation. American Sentry Solar took care of every detail from arranging financing at a great low rate to pulling permits, and meeting with county inspectors. Your construction crew was friendly, professional, and thorough. Our project manager kept us informed every step of the way. He arranged appointments that worked with our schedules, and coordinated work with our utility company. We highly recommend American Sentry Solar, a division of American Design and Build, to anyone wishing to install a solar energy system on their home.

Great Business

American Sentry Solar is by far one of the best Business that I have ever dealt with. Each step of the way was truly out standing they were able to explain the process in very simple terms. They were outstanding in assisting with some difficult financing to make my dream of solar panels come true. Each crew of workers were very helpful, they were on time and even came ahead of time when they were able to bump up the schedule. My solar power was working in no time at all. I don't think it took 2 months from start to finish. Also, I know if I have any questions that they are local and only a phone call away. I am very pleased with the service that was provided.

New Solar Installation

I did a lot of research when it came down to choosing my solar install. I found that American Sentry Solar answered all my questions as well as educated me on the process. The installation was scheduled quickly and the installers were very professional and friendly. They worked together like a family. They provided me with great pictures and all documentation for tax credit applications and SRECs. The process was quicker than other install companies and they did not disappoint. I now see my electric meter run backwards!

“Great team”. They were organized, on-time, and cleaned up afterwards. The assistance has been beyond reproach, the installation flawless to date, and the equipment performance well above expectations The system has been working for almost six months now and works perfectly. Very happy with its business

American Sentry Solar showed us how serious they are in doing business effectively. They (the sale representative, the surveyor, the solar panel installers, and the manager) were well knowledgeable and engaged. The processes were taken as promised and completed quickly, very good teamwork! We also recognized the Pepco's quick review and approval processes, and information about the next step. We are in the final stage of having clean energy. Thank you all!

Awesome Solar Panel Installation

After inquiring with other companies, your company was upfront, honest and fantastic customer service. From the beginning you kept us up to date with progress. It was a very smooth install and startup. Install was very done professionally. Panels are very nice compared to the other companies out there. The employees all introduced themselves, friendly, and competent. Management is very helpful. Very professional. I highly recommend this company Anytime I have called, everyone has been very polite, helpful and personable. No automated machines to deal with you actually get a live person!! have already recommended your company to several people as well as providing cards to a real estate agent because I am that pleased with this company as well as being local!

Awesome Installation

The installers were professional, polite, and efficient. They did a great job explaining what they were going to do, and answered any questions I had. When they were done, the installation looks great, and they cleaned up after themselves, so there was no mess left behind. These guys are the best !
