I decided to go solar after purchasing my home two years ago. I asked a couple of contractors in the area who they might recommend and they both suggested A M solar. I could not have made a better choice, the craftsmanship was excellent, the work was completed on the time frame and the dealing with Corey and Glenn and all the staff at AM solar was a very positive experience. AM Sun Solar personnel were very creative in designing a system to fit my unique requirements - I had regular power for my house and 3 phase power for my well. They designed a system to provide solar power to both panels. Their cost was better than the other bidder and they met all of their contractual commitments including the timetable. After three months the system is working just as designed and I have had no problems.

Solar installation review

A model for what a perfect installation and customer service is all about. We met to determine the size of the system. The house was a new to us and therefore no history. After the system was designed we reviewed it for approval. After PG&E's approval the installers started and three days latter they were done. I found the installers to be very professional and meticulous in what they did. The system went on line in July and we have not paid an electrical bill since. We figured that we are saving about $300 to $450 a month. Not only would I recommend AM Solar but I do recommend them any time the opportunity comes up. Great to work with!

I’ve had my PV solar system for 3 months now (10K). I can say the sales team was accurate with their quote and the total-system energy production. The installers were always on time, clean and considerate. The system itself looks great. Their price for the system was better than the other quotes I received. But the biggest aspect of AM Sun that will stick with me was the fact that there was always someone who would pick up the phone and answer my questions. They would also promptly return my e-mails with the answers I was looking for. In short, I would work with AM SUN again. I highly recommend them.

On Grid PV system

Prompt response to my initial inquiry, Glen came in person to discuss the project. Quick turn around on a quote, with several options and detailed cost/payback analysis based on our historic usage. The 4 "suns" on "Quality of Product was our choice, we discussed several panel manufacturers, and we chose the more middle of the road price/performance wise, however we had full information and engineering specs on available options. We were having other construction work done simultaneously and they were able to conform their schedule to mesh efficiently. Work proceeded exactly as promised, they were polite, professional, and cleaned up carefully each night and at end. They were also safe. We had roofers and other carpenters doing work high up (3 story house) and AM guys were the only workers who diligently used safety harnesses! I always check all contractors to assure they are state licensed and have current proper insurance etc. AM Sun Solar is "squeaky clean" according to CSLB. They took care of everything, permits, inspections and obtaining rebates, we were on-line even sooner than they predicted, even though PGE approval isn't within their control. Our system is performing as predicted, we are coming up on the end of first year and we have a small surplus of both $ credit (based on TOD billing) and also actual net energy generation (NEM) which is exactly what we wanted, to be slightly over designed to add an electric vehicle in the future and still come out neutral cost wise each year.

AM Sun Solar was excellent they are very easy to work with from planning to completion. Glenn was an outstanding salesman. He was informative, helpful, and took the time to understand our needs and expectations of this project. When it came to the design of our project Cory was great both guys work great together. The installation stayed on track and their crew was friendly, clean and organized. Great people to work with!

Wonderful service with AM Sun Solar.

I have had 5 bids to install solar panels and I chose AM Sun Solar. The reprenstative was very honest, not pushy, and patient with us. He even told us that we can compare other solar company with their proposal and if we have any question, feel free to discuss with them. I have had another company that really pushed us and trying to say that their company is the best. However AM Sun Solar had a remarkable price that other comanpies could not match. I feel that I got a very good deal at a PREPAID price for 20 years. This is the company you should contact to get a quote. :)

All the individuals involved with the company were a pleasure to deal with. The key was the followup on little glitches during construction, and quick followup after installation to verify that the system was working and that I could monitor it online. They stand behind their work and I know would return a call anytime.

The original Fronius inverter was installed by another company and Cory was willing to take on the replacement for a really good price. The only problem was that the replacement inverter failed after one day of operation and we had to wait over a week for the replacement part to come in. I hated to be without my solar system for so long! Cory has always been easy to contact and responds quickly. He tries hard to keep me in the loop so I know what`s going on with warranties, delivery schedules, etc. I have chosen to work with him as my primary contractor/contact instead of the company that put in my initial system. A year ago AM Sun put in the addition to my system, almost doubling its capacity.

Did the most analysis and planning of the 3 quotes. Properly sized the system from the start. The other 2 had to revise theirs. Great work, completed as advised.

Several options and payment plans were presented to me imediately after my first cal to AM Sun Solar, at my house. AM Sun Solar matched the lowest bid made by a larger company so I was pleased with the price. The installers were respectfull of my property, family and pets and did a very profesional job within the time they stated. I would recomend them to anyone, and have. It was an easy and cost saving decision. From start to finish I felt all options were stated and all nessesary permits and applications were completed for me. The job was professional and respectfull. I would do it again and recomend the installation and AM Sun Solar to anyone.

Am Sun Solar was excellent. I have recommended them to all my friends.

We were hoping to get the system installed by the beginning of Summer, 2011, but the contractor seemed to "drag their feet" in getting the project started, so we missed the peak power generating months for the year. Not a big deal, just a bit of a bummer. Once the project got started, it seemed to move along just fine.

On Time & On budget...what else could a customer ask for ?

Glen was really great to work with, very knowledgable about the system and able to work with me on the mounting options. Should have done this years ago. Feels really good to have PG&E owe us money every month!

The only true problem we experienced was a break in communication between AM Solar and Sunpower at final connection approval stage which was corrected by Andre with Sunpower after 1 phone call. I am hoping we will all be able to become somewhat solar, if not all solar. I believe it is a true advancement of common knowledge.
