Very neat and clean job of installing. One panel was not properly hooked to the grid but they corrected the problem promptly. System has been working great. After 7 months the savings have been right on track. Very quick to respond to questions. Personnel very friendly and helpful.

Very pleased with the purchase and installation of my solar

I was very pleased with the purchase and installation of my solar setup. I was kept abreast of every step along the way. It was completed in less time than I had expected. Ami kept me on track with her Emails when a payment was due. The men doing the installation were very busy and also took less time than I had expected. No cleanup afterwards on my part was needed. Glen outlined the program well enough for this neophyte to understand.

Residential Installation 4.5KW

I received multiple bids which all came in within $80 of each other, so pricing was eliminated from the decision. Not that knowledgeable of installers in the area, I felt comfortable with all 3 companies I requested bids through the sales process. It was easy for me to make an apples to apples comparison as I had researched what I wanted installed and requested the 3 companies to submit bids for my request and additionally offer-up their suggestion(s) and reasoning. I did not share earlier bids/amounts with later bidders. I went with (16) 285Watt SolarWorld Solar Panels, (16) Enphase M250-60-2LL-S2X (-ZC) (-NA) (240V) and Enphase Envoy Monitoring. AM Sun Solar was excellent throughout the process. I had a couple of questions after signing the contract and received replies the same day. The sales process was informative and non-pressured; the installers were extremely friendly and conscientious, and the overall work was exceptional. They even took a paint sample of the house and purchased matching paint to paint the conduit which ran from the roof-top grid down and around the house to the breaker panel. Overall, I don't know how they could have been any better equipped to do the work - excellent all the way.

New installation

This was SO easy, they took care of everything, as long as your credit holds up, it was FLAWLESS, I really mean it. I saved $63 a month from PG&E and it will not go up in price for 25 yrs, yes, we leased ours, no money out of pocket, Great jobs you guys, Pete Munzell

OFF THE POWER GRID.....

A.M. Solar was very easy to work with. They worked with our home owners association, PG&E, the City of Atascadero for all of the permitting process. From the first day of our signing up all of the people that we met with were all on a very professional level. When the crew of 3 showed up to start the install they looked at the work site to determine the least obtrusive way to get into and out of the area. Took good care not to break the concrete tiles that I have on our roof. From the office manager to installation crew and the very knowledgable and low key sales contact AND follow up visit, these local people are greatly invested in their company and it shows. We are very SATISFIED with our switch to a renewable energy. We have only had the system up and running for about a month now, but really have a good feeling that we can sell power back to the grid. We would recommend A.M. Sun Solar to anyone that is considering Solar Van and Judi Keller

A Great Experience

If you live in their service area, I feel comfortable recommending A.M. Sun Solar. Very professional and courteous. They live the commitment to put the customer first. There were a couple minor issues that arose and the crew came out and fixed them at no cost and with a smile. The hook-up to our power panel occurred on a Friday afternoon. At 4:30pm, my wife realized our refrigerator was not working. We could not figure out what was wrong but we risked losing all our perishable foods. I called A.M. Sun Solar. They had a project manager out in 30 minutes (after five pm on Friday). The gent jumped into the panel, found a lose wire from the fuse to the fridge, and repaired it on the spot. He smiled, said he was happy to help, and offered, on behalf of the company, to cover the cost of any spoiled food. There was none to worry about since his response was so fast and efficient. Great work all the way around. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

I was impressed from the very start by the presentation by Glen Covert of how the system works, the cost and process of purchase and installation. There was no pressure at all. I was kept up to date on the permit process and always kept informed on the status of the project by Amy. The installation was professional and the installers showed respect for my property and family while doing their work. The system is working as expected. I would recommend AM Sun Solar without any reservation.

Hinds Project

System has been in service for a month and no issues. Peak generation actually a little higher than expected for the design. A.M Sun Solar staff were very responsive to wife's concerns about panel layout and were able to add an additional panel at a very reasonable cost to resolve the issue. Can't rate after sales support yet, as follow-up meeting is scheduled for next week and we haven't had any concerns prompting support.

A great Solar System

From the very first meeting with Glen Covert, working with A.M. Sun Solar was an excellent experience. Glen was excellent in explaining the ins and outs of solar and answering all our questions. The installation crew as very courteous and professional and their work was top notch. They kept us informed as to the sequence and progress. The system has been producing for nearly six months and has exceeded the monthly estimated electrical production rates. Currently our electrical cost has dropped to only a few dollars per month - from a high of nearly $500. The system is a 9 KW roof mount with some panels facing south and some facing west.

I am very pleased with the work that AM sun solar did in installing my home solar system. They were professional from the beginning to the present. The installers gave me information at the project site and the closing interview was very informative. Amy who was the office coordinator was effective in keeping things moving between all parties involved. She was great. I would recommend them highly. On a one to ten scale and ten being the best. They are a ten plus.

Most knowledgeable and professional providing tailored systems

I shopped around with 3 solar companies - 2 of them much larger outfits than AM Sun Solar. While the larger outfits were able to offer the most aggressive leasing and financing programs, they had a cookie cutter approach using their own systems, focused on selling me more than I needed and fell considerably short in answering my questions to best understand my individual needs as well as longterm benefits. Mark Miller of AM Sun Solar is very sharp, in a league of his own and worth the price of admission. He presented an array of options - microinverters vs string inverters, different solar panels for my applications (quality, efficiency, warranty...) pg&e rate plans (and how they work), and overall costs so I could make a better informed decision. I then understood purchasing (with 30% tax credit) to be by far my best longterm solution and found my own financing with payback to be ~ 7 years (even sooner with inevitable PG&E annual rate hikes). After committing the process went smoothly - they took care of the permitting and PG&E applications and met the given schedule of completion. In fact I had my system activated a month ahead of someone I know locally who recently installed solar with a larger outfit even though they committed 2 weeks prior to my project. I highly recommend getting a couple quotes from more than one company - suggest you include AM Sun Solar so you can evaluate for yourself.

After a long search and tons of research, I found the best company to install my solar system. Overall Glen Covert, Director of Sales, aced my home Ground Mount Solar Project. A.M. Sun Solar did what they said they would do and performed as discussed and expected. They provided me best pricing and a skilled install crew. The crew did an excellent job installing the solar system, communicated very well, and kept the job site clean. My Solar System is performing as I hoped and I am very pleased that I chose A.M. Sun Solar to do my solar project.

Very happy customer

I never write reviews. But I'm happy to report how happy I've been with AM Solar - and that tey were a much better deal than the competition. I particularly enjoyed working with Mark (salesman) and the instalation crew. I never get along with salesmen either, so this was a nice surprise for me. I was very picky on the equipment I wanted here, and had even started to plan on doing the whole install myself. In the end, AM Solar delivered MORE than they promised (they threw in an extra panel, when we hit a glitch with the model we had orinally called for and had to change to a slightly different one. I was impressed.) The system has run flawlessly on my house ever since and it's great to watch the meter run backwards, and to monitor it all on MyEnlighten! Thank you thank you thank you. Go with this local company and you won't be disapponited.

Great Solar Installer

We purchased our PV system from AM Solar after interviewing 4 other Installers, too. Some of the others acted like used car salesmen, being very aggressive and less than forthcoming, one even trying to get us to sign a contract online even before getting their quote in writing ("you have days to cancel under CA law"). AM Sun Solar came to our house and surveyed our electric usage situation and the roof site, then went back to their office to engineer a particularized system, and then sent a written quote with specifications and full disclosure of the solar panels and inverter being proposed. Their professionalism gave us confidence about the rest of the process. We purchased a 5.5 kWh system, with good quality components, and prearranged financing through a credit union. The cost was about $25,000, at 5% interest for 12 years, which compared well with another quote we received from another installer for a smaller system for $55,000. According to the math, the system should pay for itself through PG&E savings in about 6 years, applying the Fed 30% tax credit. And our monthly payments for the solar system are lower than our old electric bills irregardless. Plus we essentially have zeroed out contributing to pollution through our energy usage. A no-brainer: a win for our wallets, and a win for the environment! AM Solar installation was quick, easy, efficient, and clean, and did not disturb our neighbors. Now the system is up and running and appears to deliver as promised. We cannot conceive of a better solar installer, nor a better consumer experience!
