The entire AM Sun Solar & Roofing team were exceptional. From the sales person, field technicians, roofers and coordinator. Our solar install went off without a hitch. They were on time and met projected timeline. They coordinated all the inspections with both the county and PGE. They gave us dates and times of inspections that were accurate. The roofing crew and installers were efficient, on time knowledgeable and very tidy. Will look to them for future Solar needs.

Very happy with the whole process from start to finish. Everyone I talked to was very pleasant and professional. Installers were very fast and knowledgeable. Had a problem with the inverter and they took care of it very quickly.

I initially reached out to AM Sun because they are the most well established locally owned solar company in a sea of corporate subsidiaries. But AM Sun really distinguished itself with customer service starting with my very first contact with Elizabeth, who drove out to my house the day I submitted a questionnaire and worked hard to help us to achieve both our power, financial and aesthetic goals by researching available products and designing a truly custom system. The process was straightforward and on time, and the work crew who installed the system was respectful and efficient and produced high quality work. But the real demonstration came when gremlins in my electrical wiring- a merging of old house and remodel, of old and new building code requirements- was having a difficult time with the new load of solar power feeding back onto the grid, constantly tripping my fuses midday. For over a year AM Sun visited my house- particularly Keith, Brandon and Cory- and, working with the electrician who did my remodel, trouble shot every possible scenario until a solution was achieved. To say it was above and beyond is not enough to reflect the scope of extra time invested in making sure the job was truly complete. I have total confidence that they stand behind the quality of their work because I've experienced it.

We put in an 11Kw Sun Solar System last summer. Their installers did a fantastic job. I did not compare Sun Solar to other companies. Maybe my bad. We installed a solar system that was supposed to put out 1 1/2 times the electricity we had used in our highest previous years consumption. After 1 year our True-Up was over $3000. When I asked what happened, they said we used to much electricity. I have been asking for help from AM Sun Solar to try and help figure out why. They are not interested to help us understand why this happened, and they say their electrical contractors also have no skills to help us resolve why. Would I recommend them to anyone else in our area? Sorry NO!!

Do not trust the sales reps of this company! This has been an absolute night mare.

I can't recommend this group highly enough. Very prompt, effective. They worked around very difficult challenges in a 4 story building with an existing system that was augmented. They also added battery storage. Their work on conduit in a complex layout was exemplary and they always left the site clean and neat. The crew worked well together and consulted with me on a regular basis as small decisions were needed on routing and component placement.

The installment went as estimated. The field support was good. The panels appear to function properly. Slow and poor communication between the office and me. They give instructions that are vague, not understandable, or just plain incorrect.

Not only was the entire process efficient and professional, my electric Bill went down almost $200 a month!

AM Sun Solar installed our residential system in SLO. They said that the design/permit process would take up to 4 months, and they got it done near the end of the 5th month. One of our panels partially died on the 3rd day. Never have I had a company do so little, so slowly, to remedy an installation situation. Three months later and AM Sun Solar says that they are at the mercy of manufacturer to approve and ship a new panel. The company should have taken ownership, bought and installed a new panel, and dealt with the warranty/refund issue on their own. I shudder to think what warranty service might be like later.

They offered a creative solution to a difficult installation were other companies could not.

They came out and give us a plan for our system within days of us calling. The installation was done quickly and efficiently. We were very please with everything including the cleanup. Everyone was very friendly and seemed to really care about our satisfaction with the job. I would highly recommend this company.

The solar installation was a complete success. AM Sun Solar did what they said when they said they would. The installation was performed with quality and the system is functioning as promised. Very pleased with the results. I do recommend them to friends.

AM Sun Solar's sales expert, Mike Shaheen, introduced the concept and explained the process so well we were very comfortably on board when the installation process began. Since the installation was so smooth we have very happy memories every time we open the PGE monthly statement and see that tiny service amount. I should add that their monitoring the panels continuously is very reassuring.

After multiple solar company quotes, AM solar was the most friendly, knowledgeable, best price and most of all had the best financing. The process was smooth, quick and painless. Aggregated solar is very simple unless you try to understand PG&E and the billing system! All in all I think they may be figuring it out since solar has been around a long time! Overall AM solar is a professional company with a no pressure sales department. Great experience and I would absolutely recommend AM solar!

Excellent service! Our sales associate Terence Dwayne was the reason we chose AM Sun Solar. He was informative, kind and not pushy. The installation went very smoothly and the communication with the office is great. We also received a surprise refund after installation! We had changed locations of our panels after our original bid was written and they didn't have to do as much to install. So they refunded the difference to us! Incredibly trustworthy company!!

It was an easy and satisfying process, AM Sun did a good job orchestrating the entire job, from drawing a permit to coordinating with the local electric company to the contractor who replaced my electric panel. Even after the installation was complete they continued to monitor my production and discovered a few weeks later that the inverter was not working because we had an outage in the area so they came and fixed it otherwise I wouldn't have noticed myself. I highly recommend a.m. sun.

AM Sun Solar installed our system two and a half years ago and it has preformed above expectations. AM Sun Solar's advice on sizing for our needs was right on. We wanted a system to meet 100% of our electric home needs which includes electricity for our 16' swim spa. After the installation of the solar system, our utility electric bill has been "0" $$. We use the swim spa daily and we have a big smile each time we jump into 95 degree water and know it is being heated with electricity provided by the sun. Anyone thinking about installing solar needs to strongly consider AM Sun Solar as their provider.

I contacted numerous solar companies, several I didn't hear back from after the initial meeting. Mike Shaheen from AM Sun checked back with me occasionally to see if I had any questions or if I had made a decision. He really earned his commission on my project. We went with several options of ground mounts and after alot of proposals, I finally told him that I would really like to do a shade structure in front of my barn for my cars. He said "We can do that". He told me that they would do the complete project and it would all qualify for the federal rebate. I finally got acouple of calls from the other solar companies and when I mentioned the shade structure, they told me that once I put it up, they would install the panels. I made my decision to go with Mike and AM Sun. They did an outstanding job, my shade structure could withstand any hurricane or tornado. Mike Shaheen is an excellent and very knowable sales person. He knows his solar and very easy to work with. I felt back about changing my mind and making him do proposal after proposal. He was easy going and his only goal was to make sure I was happy with my solar project. I highly recommend A.M. Sun.

No pressure sales gimmicks. Mike from AM Solar spent plenty of time going over all the options available and explained the timeline and steps needed to complete my install. Of the companies that I talked to, AM Sun Solar were the only ones that did not insist on installing the system what they wanted me to have, but quoted the hardware & system that I wanted. I am not the type of person that normally pays people to do work for me and I don't generally recommend contractors, but the quote was so good and the system turned out so well, that every one of my friends that I have recommended AM Sun Solar to has hired them! It has been 3 years now since AM Sun Solar installed my 9kw system, and the system has worked flawlessly and production continues to out perform the production estimates. Towards the end this, my fourth, season, the system cost will be fully recovered. Thanks Mark & AM Sun Solar!

Professional installation with regard for property and appearance.

The entire process from sales pitch through installation and turn on went exactly as projected. Everything was on time or ahead of schedule, the office was great, and all the paperwork was doable on the Internet. A really nice experience. The Internet monitor system is easy to use and provides complete information monthly, weekly, or even hourly.

After reviewing solar installation companies for two years, I finally made the decision and went with the best rated installer on the Central Coast...AM Sun Solar. My research included reading online reviews from numerous sources, in person meetings with the top four installers, phoning past customers, and I actually visited one previous customer's installation site. In addition, they were only one of two installers that would install a ground-mount system (as I didn't want the PV tiles on my roof). The result: I could not be more satisfied. The system has been installed for 4 months and has performed flawlessly. I no longer concern my self with how much electricity I use...nor when I want to use it! Annual electricity rate increases are now just a bad memory! In summary: Price - cheapest around Sales crew - lowest pressure, most informative, and professional Installation crew - knowledgeable, skillful, flexible, timely, and professional System - maintenance free, performs better than expected, and I can monitor production from my smartphone! We had a great experience working with AM Sun Solar. We had talked with 5 companies and liked what we saw at AM Sun Solar. Mo was our rep and was great! She was quick to respond to any questions we had, unlike the outcome with several of the other companies. They were installing during some of the hottest days of the summer and were up in our even hotter attic, but never heard them complain. They did not rush through it and made sure that the job got done right! They were very tidy, leaving the place clean on a daily basis. I was impressed that they painted the conduit to match the house. The crew were all very professional and I would highly recommend them.

We had AM Sun Solar install our system 4 years ago after receiving bids from several companies. AM Sun stood out by designing a custom raised mount system to fit our needs, including space to add another row of panels at a later date which we accomplished in late 2015 without hiccup. Our system is on track to fully pay off within the expected 6 year timeframe (2 years from now) and our only annual cost is the monthly PG&E administration fee of about $10. Part of AM Sun's up-front analysis demonstrated the benefit of switching to a "time of use" meter which has allowed us to earn credits during the day when the meter is running backwards that offset the cost of the energy we draw from the grid during the cheaper "off-peak" times.

We are very satisfied with the installation of our Solar system. From all the office personnel to the installers, all informative to to all the questions I had. Our system was installed within if not sooner than the scheduled time. I highly recommend AM Sun Solar to all my friends. Their system is lower in price with the high quality products. Believe me I shopped around and discovered that AM Sun Solar is $5,000 to $15,000 lower than other systems.

Just in the first month of Solar hub a loo, not sure what to expect on my first bill, waiting. The last one reminded me of why we went solar. The company was great with all facets of setting up our home. Would of liked to have been here when they insalled but was in Los Angeles at the time. The crew was very professional and rescued a gopher snake that made my wife scream at. Not only are they great installers they handle snakes with the same care and attention of their instlation. Happy so far.

I recently sold a home with solar panels. Since I drive a Nissan Leaf most of the time, I couldn't be without panels so I had AM Sunsolar put 15 panels on the house I'm in now. The process couldn't have been easier--from the proposal to the installation through the inspection and now support. Everyone was professional, courteous, and reliable. I'm now producing plenty of electricity to drive as much as I want with no fuel costs.

Neither Solarcity, nor Solarponicks have a way to deal with S Spanish tile. They both told me to hire a roofer to prepare the roof and they'd inspect it and hopefully approve it. AM Sun Solar did a beautify job and their bid was same as city and nicks. Awesome guys and no trash left !!!

We had a 3.38 kWp system installed in January 2016 which we own (paid cash). Our monthly usuage averages 420 kWh per month. Our average production so far has been 510 kWh per month (237 low due to El Nino rain to 584 high) so it's been great to watch the meter spin backwards!! The system was installed earlier than originally estimated and at the exact price quoted. Professional staff, from the sales rep (ask for Adam Scorby), to the front office, to the installers. All questions were answered quickly and they provided the most references (10) of the 5 solar companies we contacted. They included current installations still being assembled to 5 year old projects (both commercial and residential). We were able to see 3 in person and talk with their owners. Their positive experiences were ultimately what drove our decision to go with AM Sun Solar (prices were the same essentially since we wanted to own our system). They took care of all the permits and helped us with the tax info. They continue to answer our questions even months after the installation. We really love that their system comes with an App so we can view daily/weekly/monthly/yearly production down to each individual panel no matter where we are.

We had another company put solar on our business a few years ago and then when we were wanting to consider our home, we got a referral for AM Sun Solar. They were so good and so on the ball. Answered all our questions and concerns and were easy to work with and get things done the way we wanted. Even after system was up and running they were always available to answer questions or concerns. System is less than a year old but working great and our PGE bills are looking we will definitely not have a bill this year. Payback probably will be around 4 years... IN today's very crappy economic and investment environment, this was a no-brainer easy relatively risk free investment. After our fed tax credit, and at the current PGE savings, we are looking like nearly a 25% ROI annually...cost was just under net cost was just under $17,000 after tax credit and it is offsetting $4000 average annual energy costs...

They're are very regularly style people, that help you understand solar. They make sure you understand everything before you sign on. Their work is very professional and installers are friendly I give A M solar A plus and don't forget about the office girls they are the ones that make it happen.

From the beginning my salesman Glen was terrific. He was very knowledgeable and patient with me in answering all my questions and concerns. They beat home depot and Costcos sales presentations on options, price, service, and professionalism. I got several bids to make sure I had done my research. Working with Glen was a great decision. Nate my lead installer was very courteous and polite during their time at my home. Nate and his crew of installers went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. There aren't enough stars to give AM Sun. They worked with us on everything. We wound up with exactly the system we wanted at a great price, and it was installed and ready to go well under a month after the contract was signed. Incredible. The installers were so efficient and did such a good job of putting away materials at the end of the day (it took two or three days to install) that my neighbors didn't believe me when I told him we already had the system on (it's hard to see the array on our roof unless you're in the right spot). Evidently I missed a call from AM Sun yesterday morning, because just after lunch I got a knock on the door from their site lead. Their remote monitoring picked up some sort of fault, and he came right out to get it taken care of. I would trust AM Sun to install on my grandmother's roof.
