Excellent company

I strongly recommend this company. I have only had positive experiences and everyone was very helpful and competent. Although Duke Power is trying to make solar less appealing to consumers in order to maximize their profits, consumers should still consider solar.

Yes Solar is very prompt and all correspondence and scheduling my installation. They went to great detail telling me what to expect. When winter arrived, I noticed I was not generating the amount of power I should have been based on their estimates. I let them know I was not happy about this and asked what could be done. They spent considerable time and I’m sure effort and trying to troubleshoot my system. They succeeded to tweak the system, so I am now generating the amount of energy they had predicted. Since the system has been installed, I have not had any charges from Duke Energy and in fact I have a $47 credit with them. Clearly their service before the sale and after the sale were excellent. Yes Solar Solutions installed my rooftop solar in March 2024. I had done my own research and already had quotes from other companies, but I never got a good vibe from the other companies. Yes Solar Solutions addressed all of my questions and concerns in a no-pressure way, and my decision to go with them was easy. Now that I've had rooftop solar for 3 months, I know that I made the right decision. The permitting and installation process went smoothly, with just one minor hiccup that Yes Solar Solutions took care of professionally and quickly. During the entire process, I feel like my satisfaction was their top priority, and their communication about scheduling and progress was top notch. Really Positive Experience & Loving the Very Low Energy Bills

Yes Solar Solutions helped me through the whole process and were very dependable, including answering all my questions fully. I felt like I was talking to people who knew what they were doing and weren't trying to up-sell me. They were on-schedule and I haven't had any problems with the system since it came on-line. I did have a minor issue when connecting to the panels initially, but Yes Solar took care of that issue quickly. And I was able to get a tax refund last year when part of the cost was incurred and I will get another one this year for the final installments.

Kadampa Buddhist Center is happy with our system and YES Solar

Had several months delay waiting for solar panels to be available but then our 17 kilowatt system was installed in two days. System was designed to offset our full electrical load and it is doing that. In the nine months since installation our electric company has billed us for zero kilowatt-hours. The system was installed on cold winter days so had two mounting points where the sealant did not adhere. This caused a leak at the first rain but YES fixed the problem on the first try. Later we had a wiring connection problem but YES also fixed that promptly on their first visit. So they were supportive when needed and our system has been performing without flaw for the seven recent months.

Fantastic Company

It has been almost a year since YES Solar Solutions installed our system and it has been working perfectly. They did a great job estimating what we needed to allow us to be pretty much self sufficient. The panels supply the entire property with power when the sun is out, and charge the batteries - typically up to 100% by mid day, and then send the rest of the excess power back to the grid for a credit on my bill. In the spring and fall the batteries will pretty much last all night, but we end up using some from the grid during high HVAC demands in the winter and summer. Looks like we should come close to equaling out at the one year mark making it a net zero total usage. YES Solar Solutions was easy to work with. The crew was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional in their work. If you are considering going solar in their install area, contact them. I would highly recommend them for your project.

Yes to Yes, Solar Solutions

I had quotes from no less than 5 solar companies during the decision phase of my family's search into solar panels for our home. Yes, Solar was the best in price and service. Even thought the prices were somewhat comparable except for a few outliers, Yes, Solar won my business with customer support. They were willing to do a ground mount array and agreed to place the underground cables inside a conduit for added protection. I have generated more power than I have used since they came online.

By far the biggest thing that stood out about Yes Solar Solutions was how smooth they made the whole process. There were many check-ins throughout the journey and staff took time to give satisfactory answers to my many questions. What a great experience.

What a great experience we've had with Yes Solar. In the summer of 2022 my wife and I were thinking about installing solar and asked some friends who had solar if they could recommend anyone. A friend highly recommended Yes Solar and said that they were "the best in the area." I think that's true--they answered all of our questions and were very knowledgeable and helpful with financing options and different rebate options. They gave us a project plan, met every date they promised, and provided excellent service. In 10 months we have saved over $1000 on our electric bill and 3-4 times we have had power (thanks to the solar and powerwall battery supply they installed) when our entire neighborhood was without.

Going through the selection process Yes Solar was very responsive and answered all the questions. They handled the permit and paperwork quickly. Installers and the whole Yes Solar team were professional. Overall, the solar production is in line with the estimates. Since the installation, our utility bill has gone down. So far, it’s trouble free. In addition, we used the Solarize the Triangle program, the vetting was already done and less to worry. The price we paid was competitive and warranty coverage was one of the best.

Glad we put in our solar system

We are glad we put in our solar system, panels, and battery. Not only has it saved us from multiple electric outages but it has dramatically reduced the cost of operating our house, especially in the summertime with two AC zones in our house. Installation was easy, cost-reasonable, and technicians and back office staff were helpful and great to work with. Federal and state tax incentives helped reduce the price considerably.

Power plant

Good power output, occasionally does not send information to the app on cell phone. So far, $0 month electric bill, not counting the basic charge to be connected, averages about $15 month.

Great company with quality customer service

Now going on 9 months with my solar panel and battery installation for Yes Solar. Couldn’t be happier. My electric bill from Duke energy is about $24 a month and $7 of that is because I have to pay my portion of the street lights in the neighborhood. I put more energy back into the grid than I use most sunny days. During the sales process the sale rep spent working to answer ever question I had and created multiple different configurations for me to choose from. The best thing was that Yes Solar carried Tesla powerwalls in inventory. When I spoke with other vendors they said it would be 4-5 months after my initial install before the Tesla powerwall could be installed. I highly recommend Yes Solar. The owner also lobbies the NC government to protect and fight for our state programs such as net metering. They were not the cheapest option, but very close and well worth the few extras dollars for the customer service and effort the do to lobby for solar programs in NC.

Yes solar did and excellent job giving me the information I needed to make a decision . Once I decided to go with them the process was easy and the job they did was outstanding. If I had to use them again I would and I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning on installing solar.

YES Solar August 22

Appreciate the help from Ben in sales and the team who came out. Unfortunately there was a little hiccup with the physical installation. This was noticed by a different guy than who was there the previous 2 days. He was honest with me, and I was happy to hear he would remedy with another guy. They spent their entire day correcting the prior team’s issue. I’m not upset, and I’m glad that YES employees team members that care about the customer and ensure that the system is installed properly. Thank you. I’ve been almost up and running a year now and we’ll soon see what the system produced vs expected to produce. I would reach out to YES in the future for any service needed, warranty work, and hopefully a near future battery install.

9 months in and very happy

My experience with Yes Solar has been a quality one since the beginning. My solar panels are producing well and have offset my energy usage as anticipated. I am pleased with my decision to go Solar.

9 Months and ZERO Issues!

It's been about nine months since Yes Solar Solutions of Cary, NC installed our rooftop system. We haven't had any issues. They're way up on our roof quietly producing energy and shrinking our Duke Energy electric bill. :-) Honestly, we don't normally even think about them, but every once in awhile I'll check in on the convenient and easy to understand app on my iPhone. If you are considering a solar system, Yes Solar Solutions is who you want to do business with. Great small, local company with attentive customer service. We highly recommend them!

Yes Solar is Outstanding

Yes Solar is exemplary. Everyone I dealt with was competent, friendly and efficient. The installation was done quickly, correctly and without incident. Plus, their price was significantly lower than the competition. When I had a billing issue with Duke Energy, Yes Solar folks helped me understand and resolve it. The system itself has performed perfectly since installation in May 2022, and I love checking the app to see how much free electricity it generates on a given day. I recommend Yes Solar highly.

Late in 2020 we got bids from several vendors for a fairly large (39 panel 10 kW) residential solar system. We chose Yes Solar Solutions in part because they were by far the least expensive and more importantly because two different, very knowledgeable friends recommended them highly. We gave them a year's electric bills from which they modeled the size of unit and explained the tradeoffs with different system sizes. They mapped our roof using a drone, coached us on the warranty options and whether to add battery backup to the package, and ordered the components. Their team of installers worked fast and did a solid job. Of course it was a bit noisy having a team pounding and drilling on the roof, but because they were so fast, the inconvenience was minimal. Yes pulled the permits and arranged for the inspection, and they tested the system. They coordinated with Duke Energy to get a bidirectional meter installed, the last step, at which point we were able to switch it on. Finally, Yes coached us on how to apply for a substantial incentive from Duke Energy. In short, Yes Solar Solutions did everything for us that they could. Everyone was professional, helpful, and clearly very experienced. We couldn't be happier with their service and now, after a year of very low electric bills, we couldn't be happier with the system they designed and installed.
