Solar Install

On this sunny spring day I’m reminded I wanted to give a shout to Whidbey Sun and Wind for their excellent service and installation of our solar panels. I’ve now been able to enjoy a significant difference in electric bills all winter and am thrilled that I used our local company to install for us. They were easy to work with, quick, well-priced and happy to help me with some adaptations I needed along the way.

Installation and design of Solar Array

Deciding to have solar installed at out home was intimidating trying to understand the process and detail as a consumer. Whidbey Sun and Wind was very easy to work with, patient, and wanted to make sure we fully understood the entire process. The Project Manager/Estimator was very professional, had timely and punctual communication, was open to questions and concerns about the installation, and was low pressure on making a decision. The purchasing process was easy to understand and their mock-ups showing how the installation would look after installed was very helpful in choosing the layout and finishes. The installation process was on-time, the array was installed in a professional manner, and they left the work area in a clean condition. It was a pleasure working with everyone at the company and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Great experience

The panels look great, the installation was quick and on time, the team was professional and courteous. There was a small issue with one of the connections, we called Paul to let him know and he was out the same day to take a look. We had to call him with another question and even though it was on the weekend Paul was all over it. There is a small delay between install and when the power company was able to start tracking our output but that is on the PSE so it's really just more of an FYI for anyone else purchasing to be aware of.

15kW System on Whidbey Island

The entire crew from Whidbey Sun and Wind were great! Paul Dickerson designed our system. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of his job and answered all my questions and concerns to my complete satisfaction. The installers were fast, courteous and professional. Their electrician, Gilda, is excellent and unfortunately is too busy to be available for other projects. Lori Christian, the Office Manager, is also great to deal with and knows all the ins and outs of the Solar Business in Washington. This is a great company to deal with here on the Island!

Excellent installation team and great pv system!

Whidbey Sun & Wind installed a 7kw pv system for us this past fall. We were impressed by the great WS&W team headed by Adam Wundrow. He was everything one would want in a solar contractor: smart, helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. His team (electrician, installation team) were all super. We always had notice of when they were coming and they came on time. Everything went super smooth. Adam was even able to move up our projected installation timing. Adam was particularly effective in coordinating and responding to the utility (PSE) for net metering. It's a solid system that was beautifully installed. We are very happy with Whidbey Sun & Wind. Love the TIGO software to analyze solar production results (which we check daily).

This past fall I made the decision to install solar panels on my roof. Whidbey Sun and Wind designed and installed the system for me. I was appreciative of the professionalism and attention to detail from their staff and the information given to me as I chose the elements of the system. It was the first contractor I have worked with in twenty years who kept to the dates promised in the plan. The installation went flawless from the design stage to the work with the county inspector, to the PSE installer for the meter. The after-sale followup by the team was informative and respectful. Superb job on Barn Grid-Tied PV System

Solar system In Oak Harbor

The sales process from Whidbey Sun and Power was informative and consultative as opposed to other presentations we received from other solar panel companies. The pricing was also competitive and even favorable when compared directly to other quotes. The system was installed slightly ahead of the promised schedule by a crew that was energetic, courteous and knowledgable . Follow up has been good and the system works as advertised. A pleasant experience.

Great Company to work with.

My Project Manager, Mark Anderson, was excellent to work with from start to finish. He answered all my questions patiently and with easy to understand explanations. Never felt any pressure to purchase and it took me 4 mos. to decide. The Installation crew were also great. Kept the area cleaned up too. Guemes Island Community Church PV System

I missed out on observing their installation because they were in and out before I was able to get over to see how the work was going. But there were no changes in cost from the original quote, the production seems to be right on target and the church membership is very pleased with the way the whole project played out. Anacortes 8.4KW Solar Array

Whidbey Sun and Wind were very flexible with the sales contract and installed the system exactly as planned and on budget. They provided all the forms needed to get our net metering setup and made the whole process painless. We got two other bids from other installers and found that Whidbey had the lowest price and offered the best warranty of the bunch. We are very happy with our system so far and it's great to watch the meter run backwards when the sun is out!

Great experience

We found this company to be excellent. Their explanations of the installation and operation process were clear. We changed our mind twice about the location of the panels, and they were very patient and understanding of what we were trying to accomplish. Their estimates of what it would cost were accurate. They were reliable, showed up when they said they would, and responded in a timely manner to our numerous email questions. It has only been installed for about a month, so I couldn't rate them on after sales support.

10kw PV ground mount on Whidbey Island

Solar Array

Whidbey Sun & Wind installed a 36 panel solar array in one week in early December. There were no extra costs and the quality of the work was excellent. The office was right on top of the paperwork necessary to activate the system. Whidbey Sun & Wind is a top notch company, and I would highly recommend them to do your solar project. Easy to work with

I researched many solar companies before going with Whidbey Sun and Wind. I was not disappointed with my choice. Mark was easy to work with and answered all my questions. He has had great follow up to help me understand my new system. I would recommend Whidbey Sun and Wind to anyone that is going solar.

New Solar System is Fantastic

I had tried to get solar companies to give me a quote and they all did the quote over the web, which did not take into account the different roof lines of my house. Another company came out and looking up at the roof that I did not have enough space for a system. Finally Whidbey Sun and Wind came up and actually went onto the roof and measured the different roofs and we came up with a system that used three roof sections and included 18 panels. If is a 5 kw system and it works flawlessly. The team at Whidbey Sun and Wind came and did the installation in 3 days. They wee super professional and communicated each and every step. They did all of the paper work and I recommend them very highly
