Whidbey Sun and Wind performed well and was easy to work with throughout an abnormally difficult install. My project manager was knowledgeable and communicated clearly throughout the design and installation process. He also was willing to find answers to my questions even if he didn't know the answer immediately. The installation team was friendly and professional, and everyone involved was willing to put in hours around the available schedule which included putting up with the NW weather patterns. There was a power outage due to inclimate weather when the system checks were scheduled to be performed. The team came back when power returned and began commissioning the system, only to have to spend hours troubleshooting what ended up being a manufacturing issue on one of the system components. At no inconvenience to me Whidbey Sun and Wind took care of all of the interfacing with the manufacturer to make sure the malfunctioning component was replaced. The system works great and looks just as good. The final invoice matched exactly the quoted project amount despite what must have been 16+ man hours of additional labor. I highly recommend Whidbey Sun and Wind.

Absolutely the best!

My system was installed in July of 2017 and I have held off of writing a review until now because i wanted to see how their follow-up service would be. The analysis, bid and installation was very thorough and complete! I cannot say enough of how pleased we were with the whole process. EVERYONE was great. The system has performed as advertised and promised! In three and a half years Paul has been more than willing and capable to resolve any questions or issues that have come up. The only 'issue' we had was about connectivity to our WI-FI when we had our router upgraded and Paul came out and resolved the 'issue'. I would highly recommend Whidbey Sun and Wind for your installation or for any questions you might have! If I could give them more stars, I would! As an FYI, I spent 45 years in construction with over 25 years as a project superintendent on projects with value up to and over $200 M, so I have seen just about everything in construction. A very pleased customer!

A great experience

Solar reviews led me to this highly rated company and I was not disappointed. This is great team of young men and women who obviously love their work! They were professional, courteous and efficient and made the extra effort to get the job done for us by the end of the year so I could get favorable tax benefits. And I feel that we got a very good deal. Will definitely use them again to expand the system when we get an EV in the future.

I chose Whidbey Sun & Wind because they are local, and I was very glad I did. They always returned calls and emails promptly, and were willing to answer any questions and explain any details. They expertly explained the benefits of solar specific to my home, and the process and how it all works. They stopped by for signatures and check ins, and were very professional and helpful. The set up was fast and clean, and trouble free. I have only positive feedback for this company.

Professional from start to finish / quote to completion

Excellent preview meeting, measurements, description of proposed system. Quick follow-up with written documents. Despite Covid-19, installation was scheduled fairly quickly and installation team was professional and left the house and grounds clean. Post-installation orientation was helpful and substantiated with a written manual for reference. If I owned a business, this is how I'd want it to operate!

This installation was on a new home in Coupeville (not the roof in the satellite image). Exemplary plan and install done ahead of schedule

Our Coupeville electrician directed us to their expertise for our battery backup system. Tree damage in 30+ mph wind interrupted power several winter nights. Longest was 40 hours here by Freeland. Not wanting noise or maintenance of generator. Calls were answered promptly and eval scheduled, noting snow might delay a bit. Paul made the best of our lot in trees. Helped us pick circuits backed up, avoid unneeded equipment. Install expected in a month. Parts came so started 2 weeks early. Discover batteries, 2 for ~3 days outage. I studied and Paul had used them before. Picked for safety, efficiency, size and lack of maintenance. Controller reports data via web connection. Wire to DSL boosted WiFi speed, an unexpected plus. Tax break covers solar panel cost. Already netting power back to grid in midday in March 2020 with precise app. New meter from utility shows digital status. No power outage yet but company can check as long as DSL works. Our inverter is recent unit and call to Paul and Golda steered us to the proper bottom switch for on. Their team was here rain or sun. System was complemented by inspector and plumber.

Dependable Solar Company

Overall a great experience with Whidbey Sun & Wind. I worked with Mark Anderson for a 6.82 kW (22 Silfab) system install. I was looking for a reputable, local company that also sourced in-state for panels. Mark was very timely and responsive with communication. We flexed around schedules and product availability and I appreciate the follow-up after install with a system walk-through. I feel WSW takes care of their customers and is genuinely invested in quality solar service for the lifetime of the system. High value and professionalism for Whidbey Sun and Wind

We moved from Colorado in spring of 2019 where we had 30 panels. We contacted NABCEP certified Whidbey sun and wind and another competitor. We were looking for a similar capacity system to power electricity for our home and about 14,000 miles for our 2019 Leaf plus almost always charged at home. So we chose a 9.61 kWh system of 31 Silfab panels. WSW clearly outbid it's competitor and was able to install by September allowing us to get the last 30% fed credit this year. All were professional, pulled inspections, cleaned up and passed inspections without any problems totally please and 5* recommendation
