WattSun Solar & Roofing

Totally unsatisfied with this company. It's a real review and not a fake, I have paid for 3kw residential solar panel HJT reliance panel with micro invertor installation for my house by Aug'25 and came to my house during Feb'26 for installation and took more than 3 months for completion with improper earthing. Frequent invertor fault leads to zero power generation. Apart from that when they were applying instead of net metering wrongly selected net feeding option in my application led to instead of billing unit to unit conversion for my eb bill, still it is being billed with tariff conversion, due to which, I am paying so much money for eb bill, instead of zero bill. Apart from that they have pathetic team of sales and service, improper response. So far they haven't given any formal receipt for the money paid. Even though I have gone for without subsidy option these people they haven't given the receipt. I suggest don't go with this company products for domestic solar installation. I have asked for change of sting invertor, for that also there is no reply. The sales person always says only reason. Pathetic experience. I should have gone for local vendors, instead of these people,so called branded solar company. I am even thinking of dismantling this solar electric power generation and go for different company. Cody Peters not available to help his customers

1-13-26 We called Wattsun Energy who we purchased through Cody Peters a 37 panel Solar System to pay until 2031. We found today we have to have the inverter replaced and called Wattsun and was told they no longer service the product they sold to us and if we use an unlicensed person it will void the warranty on the remaining years. We asked receptionist and Wattsun if there was a way to leave a message or get a phone # for Cody Peters who is still with the company and she said no. My husband was nice but still told them very poor customer service. If possible someone to contact us, Linda or Bob Walsh, kashwalsh@outlook.com I really hate leaving reviews and bad ones but need some attn:

We purchased the system 5 years ago. Ever since then we have still had a significantly high power bill. Recently the enphase technology stopped working and WattSun customer support has been unwilling and unable to help. Customer support keeps trying to blame the manufacturer and the manufacturer has a relationship with WattSun and doesn’t handle customer issues themselves. I’m stuck in an infinite loop of blame game. If I could go back I would never do solar and I definitely would NEVER use WattSun, they deserve to go out of business.

Disappointed

I was skeptical about solar, but finally gave in because I can see the long term benefits. The sale process was great, the sales people were polite. Then they disappeared. When I needed assistance I realized that the number on the salesman's card does not work, it goes to a google voicemail. My system was installed by a third party, and I never saw a Wattsun person again. They refuse to come here and coach me, all I have is an email channel which takes me 5 days at least to get some kind of a response. I hope that they will fix this situation.

WATTSUN FAILS TO ADHERE TO THEIR CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS

Stay AWAY—-have contacted WATTSUN by phone and email many times. No response. Filed complaint with the BBB, of which WATTSUN is a member. BBB has informed me that they too have failed to hear back from them. WATTSUN has failed to live up to their contractural obligations. They are failing to respond to a request for warranty coverage. YOU CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY WHO FAILS TO HONOR THEIR WARTANTY!!!

Cayden was very knowledgeable and nice, Jorge and the other installers were very happy and friendly. Miscommunication from company is the only issue had changed our plans and did not let us know. However we came to a resolution handled by owner himself

We love Wattsun! After being in our home for a few years and seeing our electric bill creep up each month, we decided to go solar. Cayden walked us through the whole process and was extremely patient. I love how responsive they are and how easy the installation process was. This company has great communication, which is hard to come by these days. My only regret is not going solar sooner. Highly recommend!

Great product, attractive look, best service and value. Sales rep Mike Coons was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and trustworthy. I would highly recommend this company!!

Trust the process

I’m a skeptic by nature and I was leary about the “sales pitch” but I can say that the numbers Mike ran are in alignment with my production from the panels. My summer bill that was $350/$400 last year had been $35! 100% recommend.

I am extremely impressed with WattSun Solar Energy and the solar project I hired them for. Mike Coons came over for the initial visit and explained the entire process to me and helped set expectations. WattSun Solar customer service is outstanding and second to none…that is hard to find today. They even arranged financing and it is was so easy to do. Zero out of pocket and ill be getting a 30% federal rebate that I can apply to the loan. Installation went awesome and I was incredibly happy with all the employees and their attitude as well as craftsmanship. Dennis, Cody, Mike, Dave, Christopher, and Victor…the whole crew is simply great people doing a fantastic job at an affordable price. The Duke Energy guy just came to do the final meter upgrade and he said that he has seen a lot of solar installs by many companies, but even he was impressed with the work WattSun did. I highly recommend WattSun Solar Energy. Mike even came back to take these awesome pics from his drone!

Fantastic

Incredible people and company! There is nothing but great things to say about Wattsun! The entire Wattsun team was fantastic to work with from Sales to Installers to Management and Cody! They were all great in presenting solar without being pushy but truly putting me in the driver seat. From the CEO, Cody all the way down they have been incredible to work with. The installers were professional and courteous and finished the job within the estimated time frame given. I would recommend that everyone switch to solar and use Wattsun to make the switch! Fantastic company made up of great people! Get a hold of them today and start saving money by producing your own energy!

Our Experience with WattSun was outstanding. Cayden was our first point of contact, and he made sure we understood everything we needed to choose and install the right system, size, production, warranties, and loan. Once we sign the contract, WattSun assisted us with the whole process to get our project going, including the County and HOA permits. After that, the crew of installers showed up and they were very professional and friendly. Communication was great, the job was done in less than two days and the finishes were super clean (judge by the pictures, not a single pipe visible). I would definitely recommend WattSun to my family and friends.

A HIGHLY recommended solar installer/advisor

I have nothing but excellent things to say about WattSun. The whole process with them was smooth and easy, all my questions were answered. Mike Coons took numerous calls from me and always patiently explained everything to me. I interviewed many companies & this one was #1 in every category, equipment, warranty, labor & maintenance, and cost of the overall system. The materials were delivered 2 weeks ahead of schedule, and installation was done very quickly. I had an issue with the City inspector (not WattSun's fault), the guy was very rude to my wife and were refusing to wear a shoe cover and mask inside my home. I called Mike, and even though it was nothing he was able to manage, he still contacted the City, and all I know is that the next day the inspector was back and was very respectful, and wearing mask and shoe covers. Mike kept me up to date on every step of the project, and after the system was turned on they have been responsive and ensuring all is running as expected. I HIGHLY recommend Wattsun if you are looking/planning to get a new solar system.

I do NOT usually answer the door for sales calls, but Cody caught me on a day when my wife and I were getting ready to leave for the day. And I am so GLAD that he did! I was curious about solar so I invited him in to educate me. Cody was so knowledgeable but very humble in his approach. All defensiveness that I would usually feel toward a "sales presentation" was immediately gone and I began to get excited about the prospect of becoming a "net-zero" solar home! When Cody came back to meet with us with my actual numbers, (electric usage, panels needed, cost of system and government rebate credit) it was a "no brainer". HOWEVER.... I was disappointed and discouraged to find out that my roof was at end-of-life and I could not get solar installed until that was taken care of. Cody genuinely empathized with my disappointment and recommended a roofer. While I did not ultimately use that roofer, I was able to work it out to get my roof replaced and was then on to my solar installation. Cody's crew worked promptly and very courteously to get everything up and running, and I love the way it looks! Can't wait to get my first Duke Energy bill with solar! Thanks Cody and crew! Update: 06-11-2020 - Absolutely IN LOVE with my tiny little Duke Energy bills!! Thanks SO much WattSun!
