This company originally installed the solar system on our property, and after a couple years, there was a leak in the roof, they came out and did a great job fixing that however at the same time the solar inverter box was not reporting correctly. The company came out and changed the inverter box with a new one that was not working properly and was not able to be monitored by anyone. They spent a long time working on it with no result. Either customer finally jumped in and spent half a day working with the company that made the inverter box, and they diagnosed that we needed a new one. They sent out a new one, and I reached out to US Green to have it installed. At that point, they refused to honor their installation warranty or their solar warranty at all, and said they would not work with us any further. They’ve been changes in this company recently, and the owner blames all the problems on his personal life. His installers are good, but he is terrible. I would not recommend them.

We have been incredibly happy with the service and products we have from US Green. We have: solar, the whole house fan, artificial turf, and the water conservation device. The solar was incredibly easy to finance and we received a nice federal tax refund. We send almost nothing to SDG&E each month, only what we use in gas. The best part is that US Green continues to track our solar production; it’s been several years since installation and we continue to receive phone calls and emails with updates. Now that is customer service! We love our turf in both the front and back yards. No more watering or mowing and it looks beautiful every day! We have a dog, but the turf is easy to maintain; twice a year we put down new absorbent. No odor! The whole house fan is a great way to air-out the upstairs. We simply open windows on both sides of the house and turn on the fan. It silently and quickly works to pull in cool, fresh air. We use it throughout the year. When we did have a small problem, US Green sent a representative right away. We find they are easy to contact and quick to help. We would highly recommend US Green for any of your solar and turf needs.

We have had our solar since December of 2016 and have been very happy with the performance. In 2017 we were only billed for the connection to SCE and usually generated excess power. We even got a refund check about 1 year after it was installed from SCE. YES I would hire Alex to help me again and yes I would refer him to friends and family. We interviewed 10 to 12 solar companies and got the best deal and assurances/warranties (roof, maintenance and panels) from Alex. There was a small billing issue where we tried to use our home equity line to pay off the PPA using their electronic check system but since it did not go through, I was billed an additional 25.00 from US Green, I believe this was the only issue where I felt unsatisfied, other than that I was pretty happy and if that is the only hiccup, I'll take it. I haven't noticed any roof issues after a big winter...oh and one more thing, they did tell me they would take care of communications with the HOA but I ended up having to do it myself, which was easier than expected. I simply submitted the information and layout of our panels mapped out by US green and it was approved with out a problem. I do remember when the city inspector came down from the roof he informed me that it was one of the better installations he has seen. So a big job comes with lots of hiccups but I would say it was pretty smooth, Alex and his team communicate very well, my expectations were met and I did also have them install a 220v in my garage to hookup the charging station for my car. :)

Hi my name is Joe and this year I had solar installed and it was the best thing I've done to save me money. My electric bill was $350.00.and now it's less then $10.00 dollars so if you think I'm not happy boy are you wrong. The job turned out really great I love it and I'll tell any that's going to get one go with US Green. I'm glad I went with them.

We just had our solar installed at the end of 2016, and thus far we have been very happy! I will be happier when i get that huge tax incentive haha :) Can't say much about longevity of course because we just got it, but here are some pros: -sales team was not pushy at all, we actually decided to install more panels than the general recommendation due to kids coming in the future and my opinion that to pay 1/3 less now (with tax credit) would make a lot more sense even if the excess is paid back and not a super great rate (what else to expect from state though, not like it's super surprising) -install was easy and didn't require much on our side which was super helpful since we both travel for work quite often -they have a cool website which tracks how much energy you are bringing in and roughly the dollar value of it I can't see any reason not to do this, especially when the tax credit is available. Given that our electric was $150/month and went down to basically zilch, the system will pay for itself in roughly 8 years, but in actuality much quicker since when we have kids electric would've been much higher. But at that point you have free electricity for the life of the panels! Plus it transfers to the new homeowners if you ever sell, what a phenomenal selling point in 10 years...Hey, guess what, move in here and you won't have an electric bill for maybe 20 years? Anyhow, all good things thus far. Can't wait to get my Tesla and power the car for free :) -

We recently used US Green to add solar to our home. We are thrilled with the results. We should have done this sooner. The difference in our utility bills are astounding. US Green was wonderful to work with. Very professional. They handled everything from getting the permits to working with SDG&E to add the RMA line and to actually getting the system up and running on the grid. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. The installers were always on time and respectful. The entire project was completed on time as promised. Thank you US Green.

We recently had US Green install a solar system on our house. We were so pleased with the experience. Alex did a great job educating us about solar and how the panels work. We feel we ended up with a very efficient system. We are so happy we made the leap to solar using Alex and US Green. In July (the heat of the summer) we had a $9 electric bill. Woohoo!

I called US Green about adding Solar to my house after three neighbors who had used them recommended them. I was glad I did. Alex was my rep and he took care of everything. I am a project manager so I am very detailed oriented and hard to please, but these guys excelled at everything. From my initial meeting with Alex, everything could not have gone smoother. He studied over a year’s worth of my electric bills and designed a system to cover my needs, I received a no pressure contract within days of our initial meeting and had the entire process with electricity being generated (and saving me $$) completed in four weeks. The installation crew were outstanding, in and out in a day and they really cared about my property and how the system looked after install – important to me since the panels ware on the front of my house. All in all, I would recommend them to friends and not hesitate to use them again for my solar needs.

We initially contacted U.S. Green Energy Technologies because two of our neighbors had used them a year ago and were very happy with their solar systems. These are neighbors who have very high expectations, ask a lot of questions, and do not accept anything but the best from contractors. We are the same. From the first contact, Alex was very responsive, informative, and worked quickly. We were very eager to get solar installed quickly and the company did everything possible to facilitate this for us. When we had questions or wanted specifications on equipment to be used, they readily sent over the information, and answered all our questions and concerns. They also had a great financing rate and excellent service through a credit union they use. Alex gave us data charts to show when we would break even and other valuable information. The staff was always available through phone or email during the installation process. We got two other estimates that had similar pricing; however we were impressed with U.S. Green’s bidding and installation process, and the performance of the proposed equipment. We strongly recommend U.S. Green. They were honest, up front and fulfilled all our expectations. We recommend them to friends and to people who check out reviews online before choosing a company. Our neighbor has recently used them on another home he owns, which shows his level of satisfaction.

The guy at Green Energy Technologies installed a system that gives me enough energy to keep from paying my electric bill at all. I have had solar installed now for two years and have not paid for electricity since it was installed. I think it was great when I heard SDG&E was going to increase electrical cost and I will not see any increase. If you do not have solar you are missing out on a cool house. I am 70, and I have the AC on most of the day, and it great to feel comfortable. I am very glad i have had solar installed. This is the second home on which I've installed solar. Going with US Green has proven to be a very sound choice. Starting from the beginning, Alex provided accurate and detailed information that specifically targeted my home's layout. The choice of panels made maximum use of available sunlight, power output, product reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The installation was done on time and very cleanly. In fact, the building inspector (during the standard permit sign-off) commented that the high quality of this installation was typical of the US Green installations he'd inspected and there were only one or two other San Diego installers of comparable standards. And no, none of those were mass-marketed at home improvement stores. Lastly, the web interface is working beautifully with accurate reports on the performance of our solar installation. Two other important items are the LED solar tube that US Green also installed in our entry way and the hybrid inverter for the solar configuration. The solar tube, a 14” diameter with four LED lights inside, do an great job of brightening up an otherwise rather dim part of our home. Since the entry is really the first part of the home that a guest will see, the solar tube brightens it up without using any electricity during the day. At night, the LED lights are impressive in how much they brighten the area. Definitely worth the cost! The hybrid inverter is to accommodate a future battery, likely a Tesla PowerWall. The standard “feed the grid" inverter wouldn’t accommodate energy storage whereas the hybrid, a new product which US Green went out of their way to get for us, is the exact component required for our future power needs. The downside: Quality isn't cheap. But like some old guy said, “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten” – Benjamin Franklin. I'd not hesitate to recommend US Green to anyone considering a solar installation. For the record, I have no interests, compensation or other considerations with US Green other than being a satisfied customer.

I initially checked reviews on Yelp for all the companies I was considering (looking at consensus while also reading the reviews with the understanding that it can be challenging to make everyone happy as well as not knowing the motivation—both positive and negative—for those who are submitting the reviews). Then I also checked these companies on the Better Business Bureau web site to learn whether they had received complaints and if so how those complaints were resolved. After my online research, I selected four companies for in-home meetings. Following those in-home meetings, it was a relatively easy decision to contract with U.S. Green Energy Technologies. While definitely not the largest or oldest (most established) solar company in San Diego, I was impressed by the "genuineness” and positive energy exhibited by Alejandro and the diversification of the company. Alejandro is the owner of the company and not a salesman like the other representatives with whom I met. He made me feel valued and never rushed, giving me as much time as I requested whether in person, via emails, or over the phone to respond to all my numerous questions. When meeting with the representatives from some of the other companies, it became obvious that they were in a hurry for me to make decision by letting me know that they had other scheduled appointments which highlighted that the compensation they received was based upon commissions. All of the U.S. Green Energy Technologies employees with whom I interacted U.S. Green were very easy and gracious to work with and they met all their promises including critical installation and inspection dates for my system with 16 solar panels. Deadlines (including receiving our 30% federal energy tax credit for 2015 rather than 2016 if the project had not finalized until January) were met in spite of the challenges associated with December rain by working longer days including weekends. The cost for my project was competitive or less than the proposals I received from other companies. Plus I have continued to receive quick responses to my inquiries even after the installation was completed and final payment was submitted. U.S. Green Energy Technologies delivered and I highly recommend them!!

The personnel of US Green were very professional and knowledgeable. The system they installed was very efficient and reliable. I will recommend this company to anybody. If you choose them you cannot go wrong.

US Green installed an 11 LG panels and Solar Edge Inverter on my rooftop last year. The rating of the system is higher than what it actually produces (peak power production is about 80% of the rating). I didn't pay attention to this at the beginning, but US Green takes inefficiencies into account and did deliver on what they suggested, that I would produce 5% more energy than my previous years demand. Since I used a little more power than I expected after the initial installation, I re-hired US Green to install 2 more panels and more fully utilize the capacity of my inverter. The company has been professional, responsible, and timely. The prices offered may not be the lowest but they are definately competitive. I should produce enough solar power to cover most/all of my energy use and expect the investment will definately pay for itself and eventually generate savings after the payback period.

I had an overall good experience. They were quite professional and the price was right. Only issue I had was for a few extra panels we had them add last minute they didn't evaluate the location as well for shade so we aren't as productive for the last few panels.

I have been in the market for solar for the past couple of months because my monthly electric bills are out of control. After researching solar and the benefits I decided to contact as many solar companies in San Diego to see who had the best offer. I narrowed my search down to 5 companies and was not impressed with their lack of knowledge regarding their products let alone for what system would suit the needs of my home. 2 of the 5 representatives that I met were late to the appointment, 1 cancelled on me the night before and the other had horrible yelp reviews so I cancelled the appointment! I began to think that investing in solar was not for me until I met Ali. Ali was not only one time to our appointment and well-dressed but knowledgeable about the product! He was the only company who was honest with me and did not sugar coat anything. Other companies tried selling me more than I needed and did not inform me that because I had clay roofing that it would a little more difficult and a little more time consuming then if I had asphalt shingle roof. Ali informed me right away of this and explained what would happen if they did not properly install the solar on my clay tile roof. He did not hold back any information of how the installation process works. I admire Ali's knowledge, honesty and professionalism that no other solar representatives had. We ended up getting 12.400kw system and we love it! During one of our conversations I joked that I wished he sold turf which to my surprise U.S. green solar does as well. Now we have a beautiful 1300sq ft. turf yard that will keep green all year long. Since my purchase, 3 of my other friends and co-workers have invested in solar with Ali. I would have paid double the price for the great customer service and knowledge that Ali had that the competitors lack. Thanks to Ali and his team our house is finally complete!

US Green was very professional and easy to work with. I wanted to wait to have my installation done at a specific time of year and they were happy to work with my schedule. My solar is working out very well so far. I own a 4500 sf house and my electric bills are now less than they were in my 1400 sf townhouse! I also had a whole house fan installed and it is nice to run it on summer nights with the bedroom windows open. You can have a nice breeze, hear the crickets and save on your energy bill! Overall experience was great!

Due to the escalating cost of Electricity I started looking at getting solar for my home. I shopped around for solar systems with various companies and selected US Green. I can gladly say I made the right decision. Since the beginning US Green staff answered all my questions and gave me the confidence to go ahead and purchase my Solar system. Great company to do business with. Fair price and a great solar system that over produces projected output. No hi pressure sales pitch like a lot of the other companies that gave me a bid. Ask for Ali for your quote. He was profesional, polite, and knowledgeable. I had the solar system installed on a spanish tile roof. I haven't noticed any cracked tiles and have made it through a pretty good rain storm. The installers we quick and did it right the first time. Hard to find companies that do high quality work the first time. I highly recommend this company.

I am an engineer and a business oriented one. I am very particular about what I buy/invest in paying close attention to specs, price vs performance, best value for money and having the latest and greatest tech validated by the industry. I went through a 2 month quote, interview and QnA phase with many solar installers including the big boys (Solarcity, Baker, Sullivan, Stellar, Sunrun etc.). While some installers would come across as very expensive, others would not want to discuss flexibility in design per my requirements. US Green was the ONLY company that gave me absolutely complete control over my design choice (solar panel model, inverter choice, configuration) and also debated pros and cons of various system types with me - this is considerable time/effort on their front. The result of all this was it educated me to the extent that I have been able to advise many of my friends and colleagues on solar PV systems. The system I got was an LG320+Solaredge SE5000 with optimizers - this was the single most best decision I jointly made with US Green advise. My production is way above expectations. The pricing was really really competitive, like 20-30% less than the big boys, the equipment the latest in the industry. Permit process was promptly done and I was installed in record time (within 2.5 weeks of signing paperwork). There are very few companies who would take the time and effort to engage with demanding, educated, high-maintenance customers like myself and meet their expectations. I wanted a system that was best in class not only in technology but also in price and offers investment break-even in the fastest possible time. My system is 25% cheaper with 15% more capacity than my friend who went with another company (installers mark-up using fear factor of warranty). I was able to achieve all my requirements by doing business with US green. I rarely recommend anyone on yelp, these guys have earned it. Ali Alex DJ and their team are wonderful people who go above and beyond to meet your expectations. I am in the process of hiring them again to add couple more panels to accommodate EV usage in the near future. They are always one phone-call/SMS/email away to address any questions/concerns I have.

Interviewed many companies but did not feel comfortable with pricing and their knowledge of solar or products. Was about to give up on solar until US Green followed up on my inquiry. Had Ray and James out at the house and determined they could do the job and supply quality products at a fair price. Six weeks later, my system was up and running. The actual time to build the system is probably around a week but then there are permits, inspections and waiting for Edison to allow permission to turn on. Also, my system was installed on the ground, so there was more work involved with trenching and building the support structure. US Green Terms & Conditions were intimidating but fair, and I had no issues. They were negotiable on a couple points, which made me feel more comfortable. The last payment of several thousand dollars wasn't collected until after Edison issued the PTO (permission to turn on). Located up in the high desert, my 24 - LG MonoX panels are collecting over 40 kWh a day during the summer. After nearly two years, I see no degradation in solar collection, which has more than met our expectations. I'm happy and would recommend US Green Solar Technologies without hesitation.

I did a lot of research while investigating if solar was the right upgrade investment for our home. After pouring over several white papers and learning about what made a sound investment, I began the interview process. Not only was Alex at US Green the most informative of the five companies I had provide quotes, he was the most personable as well. The work they performed was outstanding and I haven't stopped singing their praises since. I would definitely use them again, if the need ever arises.

We did some shopping around for solar for our house and had varied experiences on pricing and explanations. The best came from US Green. Also, one of our neighbors used US Green and was very satisfied, so that added to our level of confidence. The work was fast, neat and clean. Alex is a great guy and will do anything in his power to take care of you if you have questions, problems, whatever. In fact, we had a problem we thought was solar related. It turned out not to be, but Alex was all over it. We highly recommend these folks!

Great company....will use them for all my future needs! US Green installed a 22 panel Solar Edge system on our home this past December 2015. My SDGE bill for February was $9.95. I received 4 other bids and US Green was VERY competitive in their pricing and their customer service is outstanding. They responded fast when I had questions and made the experience a great one. After much research into purchasing solar for my home in beautiful San Diego, CA. I chose US Green Energy for several reasons. US Green made the sales process so simple. They designed a system specifically for my home, based on my consumption needs. The bid and contract provided was very professionally done and spelled out in detail exactly what I was getting, and at what cost. Speaking of cost, US Green Energy uses only the best, highest quality solar products in the industry and their prices cannot be beat. I signed my contract in November of 2015 when everyone was rushing to get solar installed before the end of the year. Alex Saenz, the GM of US Green, promised I would be up and running by years end and he came through on that promise. My installers did a great job of installing my system. They were on time, courteous and cleaned up very thoroughly afterwards. Based upon the great solar experience I had with US Green Energy, I also had them install 900 sq. feet of synthetic turn in my front yard. It looks amazing! No more lawn maintenance and watering. I highly recommend anyone looking to "Go Green", whether it be solar, turf, whole house fans, energy saving pool pumps, high efficiency windows etc. to connect US Green Energy. They do it all and you won't be disappointed!
