In my experience - very unprofessional / unethical
When I had a system installed approximately 12 years ago, this company sub contracted a 3rd party who was a personal friend of their owner to build a patio for the solar panels to be installed on. Their representative represented in writing to me that the patio would not leak and would be professionally built. I discovered after the work had been completed and the system installed that the patio did leak in multiple places and was not built at an angle to allow runoff. This was causing damage to my home. I attempted to get their company to resolve the issue and tried to work with them to have it taken care of. When it became clear to them that it would be costly to resolve the issue they told me they would not do anything to resolve the issue. I was forced at that point to go through an attorney and file a lawsuit in order to get the problem resolved. With documented proof of the representations their installation manager made to me my lawyer obtained a settlement from Texas Solar. When I purchased the solar system, I was also told that they would service the system and honor the warranties. Yesterday I discovered that my electric bill had gone up significantly. I called Texas Solar to ask them how I could determine if the system was functioning. They put another person on the phone, a technician. I tried to explain again. They told me at that time they were no longer servicing my area and I would need to get another technician. I said ok would you please send me the paperwork on my system so I can provide it to another technician. Then their owner, Joe Garcia jumped on the phone and said "I'm going to put a stop to this." I said what do you mean at no time have I been rude or disrespectful to your employee and had only asked how I could determine if the system was on and get a copy of my paperwork. He then said didn't you sue me. I said yes because your company made misrepresentations and tried to take advantage of me. He then said would you help someone who sued you. As I said I would at least act professionally and be honest,he hung up the telephone. In my personal opinion this company isn't trustworthy and shows a lack of ethics, integrity and professionalism. I certainly would discourage anyone from using this company after the way they treated me as a customer. I will use a company that is capable of being professional and honest with customers in the future.

6.8K Residential Solar System
After conducting my own research on the benefits of going solar, then getting more in depth information from several installers in the Austin area, I quickly realized all the benefits of going solar would heavily depend on the company my wife and I chose for our installation. When Texas Solar Power Company came out to do the site assessment on our house, they were very honest and thorough and provided more than one solution to meet our specific needs. Texas Solar Power Co was the only company that offered other energy efficiency upgrades to first lower our home's consumption which lowered our bill roughly $40 per month. By doing that we did not need as large of a solar system to offset our bill which in turn lowered the cost of the solar system itself. Texas Solar Power Co was the only proposal that had a 6.8K system being capable of offsetting our consumption. The combination of energy efficiency upgrades and smaller system was less than the larger systems others were proposing which was a huge plus. Also, in order to make the larger systems others proposed work properly, meaning no shade interference in our case, we would have had to cut one of our shade trees. That is not an option my wife wanted to explore! Texas Solar Power Co took the extra time to explore and offer more than one solution to us to ensure we were being presented with the best possible options to meet our specific needs. By doing that they not only met, but far exceeded our expectations. Once my wife and I sat down to compare all the proposals side by side, tt was a became a very simple decision to choose them as our solar company. The other thing that made them stand out from the rest is the fact they've been doing solar longer than any other company in Texas. When a company says they're equpiment has a 25 year warranty, it means a lot if the company offering it has been in business long enough to back up their claim. From start to finish the entire process was very easy and seemless. The master electrician, Jeremy, even handled our HOA paperwork for us and everything which seems like a little thing, but other companies wanted my wife and I to get their approval. The Texas Solar staff was always prompt, on time, and delivered on their promises. We're more than happy we chose Texas Solar Power Company as our solar provider. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking to go solar.

Great sales staff
Had a 6k system installed. It took a little longer than I hoped but Texas solar is in high demand. It s not a franchise fly by night company.
