We are so happy with our PV system. After considering solar for several years and wanting to reduce our environmental footprint we made the commitment to go with TFS. They met or exceeded all of our expectations. The crew that installed our system was very professional and took time to explain any question we had. It is very satisfying to check the meter they installed to see how many thousands of pounds of CO2 we are saving from being released into the environment. We love getting an $ 8 electric bill.

TFS are the best contractors that I have ever used! Quality of work is OUTSTANDING! The installers were polite, professional and always had time to explain and answer questions. Since the system has been installed, the representatives of TFS are available and helpful. I shopped around and used a different company to install solar hot water prior to using TFS for my solar/PV system. The Solar hot water system had problems and ended up being properly installed by TFS. Shop around. Get a bid from TFS. I`m sure that you will end up using them! I look at installation of a solar/PV system as an investment and as the most positive thing that I can do for the environment after riding my bicycle to work instead of driving. The return on investment is great, about 7.75 % in my case. Total system payback will occur in about 4 years! Knowing that I am getting a great return on investment and knowing that I am doing all that I can to pass this planet to my children in as good shape as it was passed to me is HUGE.

Overall a great experience and would definitely work with TFS again. Could have had a little better communication at times (ex. we waited a long time for the utility to come inspect the final installation without knowing why it was taking so long). But easy to work with and when we contacted them, they were always very quick to respond!

TFS was one of the most professional and courteous companies we`ve ever worked with. It was a pleasure to have them working on our home. It was clear that they knew exactly what they were doing, and enjoyed doing it. They were neat and tidy, and when they were finished the installation looked like "art". We would definitely recommend them and would hire them again.

TFS people have been a pleasure to deal with and the most professional contractors with whom I have ever worked. I highly recommend them and I have been doing so repeatedly on my own. Everything they did was as it should be, from A to Z. Without tax and other incentives, it would have been difficult to justify the high cost of the system. With them, the lower montly bills and the added value to the house made the decision a lot easier to reach.

My only complaint, and this only refers to my electric company, is that it took Trico almost a month to come and inspect the system. So my system sat idle for almost a month waiting on Trico, when I could have been generating power. TFS charged the full job amount due to Trico not funding their Sun Watts program appropriately. I have to wait up to 24 months to receive the Trico rebate portion because they are currently out of funds.

Technicians for Sustainability provided the most pleasant work experience at my home that I`ve ever encountered.

I would like to point out that TFS and their workers were fabulous. We have a pristine restored historic home on the National Register and they bent over backwards to meet our needs for historic preservation as well as maximizing the energy return we could receive. We highly recommend them and would use them again. In addition, "both" City building inspectors (for PV and Solar Hot Water heater) told me that TFS did the best job in installation and meeting City codes of any company they have worked with in Tucson. No small statement in my book.

TFS made the entire process very easy, they did a great job on the installation. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Kevin Koch did an excellent job in presenting the project to us. His installation team was on time- competent- very friendly- extremely neat and a pleasure to have at our home. We have been telling everyone how happy we are with solar PV and the TFS crew.

TFS`s professionalism and integrity are hard for any company to match.

This company also installed a solar hot water system several years ago. It has been functioning flawlessly. I have no idea if the PV system will increase the value of my house.

The entire staff at TFS is excellent! The whole job from start to finish was extremely professional. And when the city came out to inspect their work, the inspector commented that he rarely has any problems with TFS installations, which isn`t always true with other vendors. I highly recommend TFS for any of the work they do. You can`t go wrong with this group of hard working, dedicated people who do indeed walk the walk! Without Tucson Electric Power`s rebate program, and the state and federal tax rebates, we would have been hard pressed to install a photovoltaic system when we did.

We got 3 bids on this job and TFS was head and shoulders above the rest. Their knowledge and expertise was superb and they knew all the issues about rebates that some of the other companies didn`t know or didn`t disclose. Their men were wonderful in installing our system, professional, efficient, cleaned up after themselves and did it in the time they said they would. We couldn`t be happier and love to recommend them to others. Our utility company, Trico Electric, offered to pay half of the cost of our system. TFS only charged us for the other half and waited, very patiently, for the other half from Trico. It was longer in coming than expected because so many people were taking advantage of the solar program. TFS never asked us for the remainder but waited for months to be paid from Trico. They were GREAT!

Great folks to work with!

Everything about the process was excellent and we HAVE referred other to TFS. We saw an immediate reduction in our TEP bills, which is very impressive given the size of our home. We have always had solar hot water, but chose to have TFS upgrade the existing (24 year old) system at the same time as installation of the PV System. Everyone has been courteous and professional to deal with and any minor problems have been followed up on in a timely manner. We`ve had a few issues with the monitoring system, but all is well now and TFS was thorough and patient in tracking down the best solutions for the monitoring system

I was so pleased with my solar electric and solar hot water systems that I got them to install a really big rain barrel--and now collect 2600 gallons of rain water every time we get a storm. I`m green! Feel free to use my name.

We were especially impressed with the workers who installed the system. They were prompt, friendly and informative. In addition, they did their best to allow us to follow our normal household routine.

I interviewed four companies, two from Tucson, two from Phoenix, prior to contracting with TFS. What sold me was the knowledge, professionalism and demeanor of owner, Kevin Koch. Telephone support was terrific. The on-site installation crew was wonderful, and willing to take the time to explain each step in the process. I have already recommended TFS to several neighbors.

I didn`t need references from TFS because I had already heard from a number of friends about how great they were. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. From the initial conversations about price and layout to the final review by the electric company we received terrific treatment from TFS. I would recommend them to anyone, and in fact I HAVE recommended them to many folks. They rock! The incentive program and the great recommendations for a contractor determined the timing of our decision to go solar....I don`t know that we were committed enough to look into it, comparison shop, etc. if we hadn`t heard how easy and (relatively) inexpensive it was with the incentives.

Due to space limitations we initially considered going with a small water heating system. TFS worked with us to analyze these limitations and we eventually figured out a way to install a properly sized system that has worked flawlessly. I am delighted with the end result.

Staff was very professional and friendly, both during the design phase and installation. Workmanship is excellent and the system functions as it was described to us. TFS has monitored the function of the system and been in communication with us. Very happy with the system and would recommend Technicians.

System performance exceeds expectations, so I am increasing its size by 50% to 5.52KW and TFS will do the additional installation. The design of the system was very well done, and the installation crew was meticulous in their work. Everything was cleaned up daily and the entire system is neat and professional.
