I would not recommend this company due to the fact they don't respect your home. I had mud on my stairs, trash in my back yard and due to them not finishing that same day, they put all my panels in my back yard. Which that was fine but, they leaned about 12 panels up on my house and in the process of them bringing the panels to my back yard 1 of my pillars was scratched (which no one said anything about). When they left that day one of the installers told me they would be back the next day to finish, I asked what time, he told me they would call and give me a time of arrival. No one called and they just went into my back yard without me knowing they were there. I have 2 dogs and it's posted Beware of Dog. Luckily the dogs were pinned up. I let them know I was not happy with them for entering my back yard without me knowing. I called my salesman about all these issues he acted concerned but, nothing was done and the only supervisor that reached out was the one from Energy Pro (there was an issue with that person also). To this day, no one has reached out to me about all these issues. I've tried to call the CEO and my Salesman and the numbers just ring and then the call drops. I guess after they get their money the Customer is no longer important.

Start to finish in 7 months?
Contracted with SunPro in Dec 2021. Signed a $73,000 contract, got financed and was ready to go. The install went very well and everything was hooked up in less than 6 weeks. Okay what's next. Let me check with my scheduling department and I'll get back to you. Weeks go by and nothing, nothing I say! Got your attention now? I call and get told the same thing, we will let you know after I hear from our scheduling department. Finally, someone calls, we'll be there to prepare for the city inspector, what? Anyway, the inspector comes and fails the whole thing. Weeks go by, finally a crew arrives and re-routs all the ground wires for some reason. Same thing, more weeks go by. Finally the inspector comes again and passes the system. Hoorah. Ok, lets go! it's been over 6 months, let me start saving some money here. Okay, as soon as Peace River Electric company comes and switches out your meter to one that flows both ways. There have been several interactions with SunPro during this period. Jeez, the only company that exceeded my expectations was Peace River Electric. As soon as they got the request, they were there the next day. Even today, I don't know how to read everything. I cannot find how full my batteries are. I cannot find what power I am using in real time, not just the last 24 hours, etc. I have requested help and was referred to Enlighten, an app, not SunPro. So, I do believe I have a superior system, and look forward to spending nothing on electricity. Takes your chances if you don't mind waiting. It shouldn't take 7 months!

Hi Victor, we completely understand how delays can be upsetting. As with any construction project some things are out of our contract and can take longer than expected. After Sales Service
I previously left a positive review of all aspects, I am now doing a follow up. The sales presentation was fine, the installation of the panels was flawless from my perspective. Now we hit the problems--60 days and more since the panels were installed and I am still not solar powered. All I get from SunPro is a phone call every couple of weeks telling me they are waiting on Ameren to do a final inspection. I finally contacted Ameren myself and got yet another run around, I contacted Ameren after I received the 3rd set of edocuments to sign for this process. Had SunPro prepared me that it was gong to take months after installation to get the ball rolling, I would have declined. You can forget me doing any advertising or recommending for you, if you can't provide better service and information than what I have experienced, forget it! Had I been told up front that I should anticipate delays, I would have been prepared, after more than two months of delay, I will tell anyone that may inquire I do not recommend using this company, they do not seem to have a clue as to what is required, how long anything will take, and they will flat lie to you! Parts of the information below are probably not correct and have no bearing on this review. Look up the kw and the brand of panel for yourself!

DO NOT use ADT solar/Sunpro. We were promised our electric bill would be around $9-$40 and it has consistently been $300+ since going active. Now we are stuck with a solar payment AND a high electricity payment (both equal more than what we were originally paying before solar). In addition we had leaks in our brand new roof from the panels. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Another costly delay
This company cannot get the paperwork correct, despite being spoon fed by the customer every step of the way. After a host of installation issues the system failed inspection by the county because the engineering diagram did not match the wiring. The new engineering diagram was very straightforward, but took 5 weeks to get back with a stamp, and it was still wrong! I put the brakes on the next inspection (you're welcome, ADT, because I should have let it go through for more documentation for future litigation purposes) and now its back in their hands for another revision which I know will be a huge delay. This company is completely incompetent on multiple levels. I know this because I've had to interact with multiple account managers, technicians, and local operations mangers. None of these so-called managers have any situational awareness, sense of urgency, or sense of responsibility in their roles. I would more on to another company with more favorable reviews. There are tons. Join some social media forums and you can find them pretty fast. I wish I would have done better research.

Electrician stole expensive HVAC tools
UPDATE Mar 1, 2023: Even though they said they were going to pay the $714 to me due to the theft of my tools. Almost a year later and they have not paid. The only way they will pay is if I sign a non disclosure which I told them I would not because of how they treated me and dealt with this situation! -------- On 3/1/22 I had to have new smoke detectors wired in by ADT Solar/Sunpro, because it's city code, since I had to get a breaker panel upgrade. My mother was at the house while the electricians installed the smoke alarms.I work in ac/heating and about 2 weeks later I noticed I was missing a tool. I looked everywhere in the house and could not find it. I started to panic and wonder what happened to it because it is in a big BLUE container and is pretty heavy and cost about $714. Finally I got the idea to check some of my security cameras in the house. I looked on my kitchen camera and noticed that on 2/25/22 that tool was on the floor. I continued my research and found that the electrician, not the apprentice, took my tool on 3/1/22. The electrician did ask his apprentice if he wanted to meet him at the shop the next day and which car they should go in. I have him on my doorbell camera taking it to his Sunpro car. I contacted my salesman and he made phone calls to find out what happened. I spoke with a manager about it and said the electrician stole my tool and she chuckled and according to her my tool was sitting in the foremans office the very next day, March 2nd. I have posted the videos of the electricians on Youtube and Rumble. Look for Sunpro/ADT Solar electrician taking my HVAC tools to his car. On 4/1/22, while my mother was getting her solar panels installed the manager brought not only my big blue container, but also another tool I did not realize he had taken, which means he made a second trip for that one. The big blue container has evacuation hoses in it and the other smaller container she brought to me was a Fieldpiece refrigerant leak detector. Both of these tools totaled about $1000 together. She treated me like I should be grateful that they are bringing these tools back to me. That day I spoke with the salesman and said no one ever offered compensation to me. This electrician took $1000 worth of tools out of my house, and according to ADT Solar, it sat for about 2 weeks before I realized it was missing. Had it been at ADT Solar the next day and, according to them, the foreman asked the apprentice if they were his and he replied no. Why did they not return it immediately? She offered $500 for compensation after the salesman spoke with her and said I was upset. I said I wanted to speak with her manager and she sent an email back stating that she first received notification of the missing tools Sunday March 27th and that on Monday March 28th she found both in the foreman's office. Until this time she claimed that ADT Solar had my tools in the Foreman's office the next day, so why is she saying now she found them in his office March 28th? Why not keep the story the same that they had been in his office since March 2nd? The day she called I had to call the salesman and ask what was going on and she did not call until 11am-12pm. She should have called me 1st thing that morning and asked, What can we do to make this right? I let her know that Sunpro/ADT Solar did an excellent job on the install, but I am being treated by upper management as if I did something wrong. I spoke with her manager, the regional manager, and he also has this attitude that I should be grateful to them and that he is doing a favor for me by even considering offering compensation to me. I spent a lot of money with this company and had expensive tools taken from my house and they do nothing at all about, because according to them it was in their office the next day. I spoke with the regional manager and he said he would send an email the next day with an amount for compensation. Up until this time I have been patient with them, because the regional manager did not contact me until about 7 days later, and shortly after 7pm I sent him an email saying that I had not heard from him and that I was going to go to the BBB, etc. to leave reviews. He emails me back saying, "Sir, my EOD is in the evenings I thought we had an amicable and reasonable conversation but now Im starting to get an understanding of your character." I did nothing wrong to ADT Solar! Management has dragged their feet on this matter since I reported it to them. They are treating me as if I do not matter! He also ends the email saying, Had the tone of your email been different, my decision could have also been. With that said, I will make you a one-time offer of $300 in exchange for a non-disparagement signed letter. You can choose to take that or post the negative reviews, in which, I will respond to with factual information. He then gives me until 5 pm CST on 4/13/22 to respond or the offer is off the table. I am writing this review with factual information. According to your side that you consider factual information they had my tools the very next day and did absolutely nothing to get them back to me until I found out where they ended up. Here are the facts, either the electrician stole it or the foreman stole it as, according to ADT Solar, it was there the very next day and the apprentice said it was not his. Over 2 weeks later they still did not return my tools!! And they want to treat this situation as if they did nothing wrong and I should be grateful to them!! Every single person I have told this story to say the same exact thing!! It was not an accident!! Since ADT Solar has chosen to treat me poorly, I have gone to the police and told them to press charges against anyone in this case that they see fit to charge. If you choose to use ADT Solar, just remember if they take something it is an accident and you should be grateful to them for their managers talking to you, or you could go elsewhere. There are enough solar panel companies out there. Very poor customer service. A Sunpro employee took tools that did not belong to him, took the tools to the foremans office the next day (according to them), and no one thought to find out who the tools belonged to? It should have been easy to find out who they belonged to because they were coming from my house the day before. Had I not had the cameras I would have never gotten them back and I would have been out $1000 and they treat me like I wronged them! A few weeks ago I tried to use my $714 HVAC evacuation kit and found out it was not working right, so now I have ADT Solar taking my tool, keeping my tool in their office, according to them, and now it does not work like it should, so I really can not use it. Another corporate manager contacted me and, in her words, "I'll completely understand sir however this is the first time I've had the opportunity to speak with you and if you give me 1% I promise I will earn the other 99". She said she would reimburse the $714, I have it in a text message, but once I said I would not sign anything saying I would have to take all reviews down and not write anymore, I have not heard back from her. I guess there goes the 1% thought. They do not care about me or making things right. No, they see themselves as special and above others and trying to get bad reviews down vs just do the right thing. Stay away from this company!!

Waiting for months to finish
I bought my solar system from Sunpro they have since changed to ADT. Sunpro installed my panels and most of the system 9 February 22, I waited over a month for the battery after that but they still didn’t complete the installation. I have to admit there was some confusion with the electric company. But they have since installed the base for the net meter. I still have no idea when they plan to finish the installation. I keep hearing from the project manager that nobody has gotten back to him with a date. There is only a few hours of work left. This company does not care about the customer at all. Sunpro was rated among the best. I would hate to see the service from the others. It’s now June and I I’m still waiting. There is no excuse for this. I called customer service once before and it seemed to help they did send a crew out but they had to stop because the meter was ready yet that was rectified weeks ago. I guess I’ll have to call customer service and complain again.

The equipment is not powerful enough to handle the amount of power we need and we spent almost 200k. Do not buy from this company, they have no idea what they are doing. We started this process back in November with a promise from our sales person, Shelli, of a one day installation. We are now 7 months, and three different account manages, in with 7 half day installations and $50,000 worth of equipment (and payments) sitting there doing nothing and at this point they aren't even putting us on the schedule. We have been patient beyond what should be expected of us and obviously those patients have just run out. If you are seeking a solar solution I recommend you look elsewhere.

Worst ever Don't use!
DO NOT USE, RUN, DONT WALK AWAY. I went with ADT Solar because they promised that they could install on my slate roof. That was in September 2021. They took my money, put a lien on my house and since then nothing, no install. I have called and emailed over and over but to no avail. It is now 9 months later and I am paying full boat on my solar loan and my electricity bill. Given ADT Solar's complete failure to address the situation or even call me back, I am now forced to spend more money to hire a lawyer to sue ADT Solar so that I can recover all my damages, rescind the loan and hire a reputable company to install.

Smooth on sales, horrible on operations & communication--AVOID!
First, this will not be my final review, as this story has not been completely written. However, after multiple chapters, I cannot recommend this company to anyone for any service! Second, I know this is a veteran-owned business, so as a veteran, I feel horrible having to speak truth to power. A profession is a profession, however, and accountability is in order. This company is overwhelmed with the solar demand AND has proved to be incompetent in managing complicated operations issues that require increased customer attention and resolution. Additionally, their communication is extremely poor, and they deflect issues across multiple actors involved in the solar PV installation (salesman, account manager, operations manager, electrician, etc.). Among a myriad of installation problems (they had to dig multiple trenches that tore up my lawn and landscaping, they cut a LPG line because they weren't hand digging as agreed upon close to the house where multiple lines converged, etc.), ADT (SunPro) Solar mis-designed my solar system in their haste to get to a sales contract and now lack any sense of urgency to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. ADT did not account for an existing whole house generator and 400 amp service to two 200 amp breaker boxes when they designed my system. I had to put the brakes on the project because the generator was not electrically isolated from the solar PV system, a known imperative I gathered during simple research online while "trusting but verifying" their hasty work. As a result, the one line diagram approved by engineering was invalid and failed inspection by the country, leading to a delay sequence that has no "get well" date. In summary, the ground mounted solar system, installed for over a month now, is unusable with no ETC for PTO known by any party in their management hierarchy. The system failed inspection with the county and a one line engineering diagram reflecting the final wiring is all that is needed to move the project forward, acknowledging there are still more rate determining steps once the one line gets fixed. It has been three weeks since the inspection failed, and there have been no communications reflecting 1) understanding/responsibility of the problem and 2) a coherent update on the one line diagram progress and resolution. Meanwhile, the first payment on my $95K solar loan is inside 30 days, and I fear that 1) the system will not be PTO and 2) based on other complaints, they will not honor their commitment to make these loan payments for me, which will place me into a financial hardship. Finally, they sold me a solar system consisting of LG-380s while LG was in the process of departing the solar business. They knew this and did not mention it at all during the sales process. I get that this is on me for not doing my research but it's obvious now they were in a rush to sell me outdated/sunsetting equipment and I'm clearly paying a premium for that, which makes it harder to swallow that they are not getting the system to PTO in a timely manner. ADT needs to get this solar project complete per the contract with the promised solar production as the solar loan has funded that I am liable for. As a fellow veteran I placed my trust in this company and they will offer you a discount and assure you they use their own installers and the installation will go smooth because they have years of experience and are industry leaders yada yada ... but I am here to tell you, loud and clear, and as a credible member/leader within the US Armed Forces that the reality is much different once you sign that contract and you need to pause before you think about hiring this company! I do not and will not recommend ADT to anyone! And I will continue to share this story in the local community and on the social media forums for folks that are in the market for solar with rising energy costs. I now know that there are so many better choices out there! Get multiple quotes and read the complaints and reviews. They matter! And contact me if you want to know more detail and how this story ends.

To start with they did sale a very good produce, they are now use did produces. The salesperson I bought the from system from quit so I lost the contact. The company installed the panels in one day that the best I can say. The next step was the electricians to hook up the system. After 3 trips and 4 appointment it is still not up and running. The second set of electricians had to fix the wiring in the electrical box because it was wrong. They stated it was ready for the inspection by the Electric company to change the meter, it was rejected over a month ago due to the wiring being wrong in the electric shut off box. I was told the way it is wired it will shock you the way it is wired. The company then after four weeks sent out the request again for the meter to be changed with no one having fix the problem. The electric company rejected it again. I have contacted the scheduler/ project manager several times with no responds to this problem. I have also contacted the electricians manager that just gives excuse after excuse. I was told when I bought the system that this would only take 2 days at the most to complete, and that normally it is done in one day. I am now 6 month in to this process with the system not working. I would give them a negative score for an overall company if I could. I also will not use anything this company sales in the future. I would not recommend using this company the quality of work does not seem to be consistent.

Also states to both of us " I will put $1000 credit on your power bill." That was an out rite lie has not happened, So we wait for two months and were told install was on Dec 21. Install comes and then we have to wait for connection and local power company permits. The system immediately has errors on 25 of 52 panels. Three SUnPro/ADT electricians come out and each on separate visits says that the other electrical did the job wrong. the LAst one spends two days working on the system to tell me and I quote " They, installers, put in old panels that won work." I call no contact, I email no contact, I finally get hold to them and they send out another person who says that they wrote down the wrong invertor numbers and he has taken care of it it will be two days before the system updates. A week later NO system still shows 25 are not reporting. Cal and email more no response, it takes me filing a complaint via Better Business Bureau for a call from Lousiana to get a response. The 4th crew from Columbia come out and spend all day and say they wrote the wrong numbers down they got the right numbers and things will be good. That was two weeks ago no the system is still not reporting the 25 and I have sent emails and calls that go unanswered. I am affording them one more opportunity before I begin new media and legal litigation for breach of contract. I was told that my system would be a 76% offset it yet to reach that number.

If I could give a negative score I would. If you want to spend a whole lot of money and get raked over the coals repeatedly...you are in the right place. I thought things were good. We bought our system June 2018, Salesman was pleasant, went in as scheduled. Fast forward to 2019 tax season, that tax credit didn't happen so our payment went up to $375.00 Per month, mind you that is on top of our current electric bill. Fast forward again, to 2021, time to refinance the house with all time low's for interest rates, imagine our anger when the mortgage company advised that there was a lien on our house for our solar panels, which were relayed to us as "unsecured" I am here to tell you, I wouldn't have a lien on my house if I needed a kidney. Now, lets fast forward again to 2022 when our monitoring suddenly stopped, called Enphase (monitoring company) they said we needed to upgrade the cell modem, okay, let's do that...thank you ma'am, that will be another $476.00...You have got to be kidding me. After interest this system will run us 65k, no, I am not giving another red cent. Enphase refuses to cover the modem regardless of the verbiage in my contract "The purchase of any Enphase microinverter will include the installation of the Envoy energy management system with lifetime free online monitoring access provided by Enphase" Now this is on Sunpro letter head, they chose this monitoring, not me. Nowhere in the contract does it say that there are components that may become obsolete in 3.5 years requiring additional expense to the customer. When I reached out to now ADT Solar with the issue, they push me back to Enphase completely washing their hands of the issue stating the monitoring is free but whatever else is involved is not their issue and was told at one point "ma'am you are clearly not comprehending what I am saying" Oh I comprehend just fine, ADT combined with Enphase equals...cha ching for them and forget the customer. This is the worst experience I have had. Those of you that just got your panels, wait for it, it's coming, you just won't know it until you are mmm 18 months into your new panels or until you try to refinance your home come to find out oh look there, it's a lien on your home. Think twice and have an attorney review your contract before signing up with this company.

Still waiting on electrician
So when the sales person says you don't pay a penny untill install is complete they mean the install of the panels themselves and not when the system is ready for use. You will still have to pay your current electric bill and the solar panel bill. This was not explained when I signed up and it was obviously my mistake for thinking that completed install meant when system is ready to use. It has now been over a month since panels were installed and I'm still waiting for electricians to hook up to my panel. Then who knows how long it will take Black hills energy to connect it to the meter box, then I'll have to wait for an inspection before it will be turned on. In the mean time I have not had anyone tell me when the team is supposed to come in a and do and energy savings inspection, I was told they would come in and seal any drafty windows, doors. Would add in insulation in attic if needed, change out light bulbs for added savings and a few other things. After reading some reviews with my same concerns on time line issues I would not recommend going with sunpro. If they have dedicated licensed electricians on staff there is no reason it takes a month or two or three or more to connect power to the box. I'm guessing on after other reviews it will be atleast a year before the system is functioning. I was also told that if the system is not functioning and Im paying for both solar and power bill that I would be compensated and sent a check to off set and have yet to see that either.

They want the cities to agree. If they don’t get back to confirm, then the Customer(me)is SOL! DON’T trust these people. I would have given 0 stars but was not able to.

Salesman was a jerk
Sales guy came to my house. 1. Not impressed. 2. The cost of the system is $40 more a month than what I pay in electric now. 3. after he left, he said he would send the proposal to me, what he emailed me was screenshots of the presentation. when I asked why he didn't provide me with the specs of the system he is proposing to install I received the following response "Just like car dealer, we don't itemize" ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!??? THIS POMPUS JERK HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME THAT I DON'T GET TO KNOW WHAT IS BEING INSTALLED ON MY HOME BEFORE I SIGN AN AGREEMENT?? When I told him that I will make sure none of my neighbors or anyone else I know purchase solar with ADT and this was his response "You think that you can actually have an impact on a multibillion dollar company....good luck". Well here I am, having an impact Mr smarty pants!

Anything associated with ADT is trash
We have been dealing with Sunpro since October 2021. We have had our panels installed since February of this year. However, due to “shortages” or system still isn’t up and running yet; and it’s now May. We should have known that things were going to go south after their contractors littered our yard with cigarette butts and lime green jolly rancher wrappers. Sunpro is the most non responsive company we have ever dealt with. We were always reaching out to them for an update because they would never supply one. Interestingly enough, every single time they would respond with: “we have been trying to reach you.” Trust me, they never tried. They have our emails and telephone numbers and not once did we receive a correspondence from them until after we contacted them first. We have also had our fair share of emails and texts ignored as well. The final straw was a correspondence that we had with our account manager on May 3rd. We had been waiting on the right hand to figure out what the left hand was doing in regards to a permit that we needed. Due to failed communication, they could never verify with horry county that the permit had been approved. Sunpro wanted to schedule service on Tuesday May 10th. We immediately sent another email to our account manager asking if we needed to do anything else as in have the electric company come out and switch out the meter etc. No response. We sent another email a couple of days later… no response again. Tuesday comes and here is Sunpro knocking at the door. Unfortunately, I was sick with a sinus infection and was already irritated. I ended up sending them in their merry way without the service being performed. So, here it is May 13th and not a single communication from Sunpro trying to figure out what happened. Trust me, by the time you are done dealing with these people, you’ll be at your whit’s end. Once they have your money or commitment to financing, they will ignore you and be disrespectful of your time as well. Run far and run fast. We had ADT security monitoring and we ran away from that one too because of their BS. If we had known that ADT was going to purchase Sunpro, we would have never signed up for solar with them.

So disappointed
This company is awful. They promise to get rid of all your energy costs and sell you this huge system and the loan is so big but you think , I'll never have to pay for electricity again. WRONG. It took over 6 months after I signed the contract to get it installed and it doesn't even cover half my electricity and it isn't even working the last 11 days and they say they don't know when they will be out. but I still have this huge loan. Their service is awful and I found out the overcharged for everything. do not make the same mistake I did. Just go with someone else. This company is awful.

Issues after install
The panels were installed a month ago, installers and electricians did an excellent job minus a little drywall repair needed. Inspection was scheduled for April 20th and the City showed up but the SolarPro team did not and did not respond to phone, voicemail or email contacts. Still no response and we are close to a month later. I have already been sent when my payments on the loan start but cant get anything working without the inspection and the other help that was promised. Based on the installers and the setup I would love to recommend you guys but I am feeling the completion steps need to come first

Panels were installed on April 6, still waiting on inspection
The panels were installed a month ago, installers and electricians did an excellent job. It's a month later and we still haven't had an inspection. Heep getting the same boilerplate response from our project coordinator, Blah Blah Blah "still waiting on final inspection". Have already been sent a bill for the system, due early June! How am I supposed to recommend your company to others when my system isn't operational a moht after it was installed?
Response from ADT Solar (formerly Sunpro Solar)
Hi Ron, thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We are diligently working to get your inspection completed and get you permission to operate. There are a lot of moving parts and sometimes delays happen, I do apologize for this and rest assured we are doing everything on our side to make sure you are taken care of and can enjoy the benefits of solar.

BEWARE!
The salespeople will talk you into a deal where you will end up paying for your current electricity company and for the panels at the same time. My electrical needs are now costing me more per month. Save your money and stay out of this scam.
Response from ADT Solar (formerly Sunpro Solar)
Hello Raul, I am sorry to hear of your disappointment. We strive to provide the best deals that we can for our customer's that are particular to their situation. Someone from our team will be reaching out to further discuss with you ways that we can help.

No more battery installs?
No one showed up for the appointment made in mid-April to give me an estimate on a new install with Enphase batteries. Nor the next day for another confirmed appointment. Apparently someone at ADT was cancelling the appointments under the mistaken belief that I wanted a battery serviced, when in fact I was wanting a new solar installation WITH battery. Why I waited weeks just for a no-show is apparently a result of bad communication on the part of ADT, and now I have to wonder what getting an ADT system serviced would be like if I actually did need something serviced.
Response from ADT Solar (formerly Sunpro Solar)
Hello P, I am sorry to hear about the mishap with the appointments getting cancelled. If you would like us to take care of that for you and make sure we get you on the scheduled please email us at customersuccess@theprocompanies.com.
