ADT Solar (formerly Sunpro Solar)

I did a lot of research on several solar companies before deciding on ADT Solar for the following reasons: pricing, quality products, 25-yr warranty and maintenance service. Additionally ADT Solar bought SunPro which is a stellar name in the solar industry.

An Excellent Decision!

By in large the experience was great! There were some minor bumps in the road after the point of sale but I must say, the Sales process was top-notch. I worked with a gentleman by the name of Nicky Theis. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and experienced but he made sure my needs were met in every way. He gave e all the options and made sure that I would be able to achieve 100+ percent off-set. This mean I will pay nothing for electric to my supplier. Although there were a few gaps post-sale, he stepped in and gave me all the necessary information when my account executive could or would not. Nicky is the definition of full service and he has lots of clients, so his ability to juggle those that are both somewhat to very needy was impressive. Nicky is a credit to the solar industry and without a doubt the brightest star of the ADT corporation. The installment process was also impressive. It was done in one day and was executed with near perfection. Nicky mad sure to follow-up with me to make sure my installation went smoothly. I highly recommend ADT as a company but mostly because of Nicky's outstanding Sales & customer service prowess. If you are thinking about Solar and live in the Central IL area, choose ADT and ask for Nicky T.

Great customer service

We had ADT Solar install our 47 panels last year. There was a glitch to get PTO ( permission to operate) but ADT made my monthly payments until the issue was resolved I could not have been more satisfied with my customer service representative who was relentless in solving the issue. My panels are producing power exactly as shown in my presentation I would recommend ADT without hesitation.

It took a long time. They worked hard in the hot sun. One of the panels is not producing but they left before my app came on.

Brittany Warren

Solar system was installed, however, left without inspection and completion for more than 6 months. ADT Solar failed to respond to customer grievance effectively for several months. Customer advocate Brittany Warren stepped in and ensured project completion and customer satisfaction in a highly professional manner. Brittany Warren saved the day for this project and reduced high risk and liability for ADT Solar.

Solar System Installation

Great support from sales rep, Rimal Disia , in Nov 2022 took care of 1st contract and loan, in Dec 2023 decided to add Batteries. Rimal took care of getting Batteries added. Great job. Once the planning and permits were done. Went through a number of project managers, but AmandA Cude was very helpful in getting project moving. Project install started Mar 20 & 21. 2023. Thanks Amanda. Installers did great job. Brandy Knighton Acct Manger was very helpful in keeping the project moving forward. Kept me informed of status, called numerous times, insuring project be on track. Thanks Brandy.

The guys got the job done. They knew what to do and took care of the job in a professional manner. Only problem that I have is I don’t have a definitive plan in my hand showing me when the system will be operational.

ADT Darrick Sigman

Darrick is very responsive. He continues to be accessible, provide answers, and connect me with the right people. I took a star from the review, not due to Darrick, but because it was 5 months from the time my panels were installed to the time they were in service and producing. Some of this delay was on the part of the utility company, Buckeye Rural, but it was apparent that ADT was in no hurry once they got paid. ADT did refund my payment for 4 of the months, but I lost potential solar credits during the best months of the year.

The solar installation failed Marana inspection.

The installation was completed on 10/21/2022. It failed the Marana city inspection on 10/27/2022. A minor correction is needed to pass inspection. I have made several phone calls and emailed ADT requesting a schedule to fix the problem. It has now been 10 days and no response from ADT. I'm worried that they may not complete the project during December 2022.

Customer Service

The customer service (Ms. Deedra Hayes) was exceptional, and she was with me through the entire process from the start (getting the association's approval to build) to the final inspection and monitoring of the system. Thank you for your kindness and grace working through this install journey.

Truly the only bad thing I have to say about the company is the salesman that I had for the process (David Moses). During the initial application process, my cousin was living with me and was going to co-sign for the panels. While giving David his information, he submitted the application with my cousins name only and screwed me on the whole process. Promised to reach out to them and fix it to where I was on the loan too. A year goes by and while trying to consolidate debt, I cannot include the solar loan into the consolidation because of him and his hunger just to make money off the sale. Was also rude any time I contacted him after everything was finalized.

Great salesperson, needs install improvement, great components

Torian, our salesperson is amazing. We felt as though he loved what he sold, gave us useful information and communicated with us during the entire experience and beyond. The installation could have gone smoother in terms of timing steps but no hitches in the hardware and installation was very clean. We have been enthusiastically recommending Torian and ADT Solar to all our neighbours.

Hard workers

As soon as they showed up they went straight to work without delay. Would of have a 5 star if they would have replaced the tiles they broke. Now I gotta call and deal with that

Would've been 5 stars but...

Before this morning. I would've given SunPro Solar 5 stars! I am really disappointed to say that now I cannot. Everything went well with the installation and keeping me abreast of what was going on and my timeline. I was very pleased with that communication. Then, last week I was told my system was on and working after a few simple steps completed on my side during a phone call. This morning though... I find out the system was cut back off and my system was not on so.... for an entire week I'm getting a system down of changing my routine for electricity use to during the day thinking I'm doing so great and feeling proud that I'm using my solar panels... only to find out... im actually not! It was very disappointing and confusing for me bc I had no idea and I'm frustrated. If you accidently allowed me to cut it on, that's on you. And if it was cut off I should've been notified immediately so I knew where I stood. Here i an reading the app that's letting me know what's going on and i has no clue and didn't what i was reading evidently. Overall, good experience but right now still not on and won't be for a few days, so no "go me! Go solar!" quite yet.

Good Product - Excellent Installation

The Sunpro Solar team did an excellent job installing our solar. They were thorough and diligent. In running the wires from the roof panels down to our garage and out to the main panel, their work was very clean. There are no loose wires on the roof or down the side of the house. They did it all in one long day. The major delay has been the time to get the final inspect for the system. Not sure if this is a Sunpro communication issue or a backup with the local inspectors.

Harold White (Boise St sale person lol) Sunshine Richards (lovely name and wonderful personality) and Paul Schlosser had the teamwork to make the dreamwork. A pleasure to have worked with. They were there from day one.

Long wait

We have been nothing but happy with SunPro solar from the sales staff, the install team, to our account reps, but the wait to hook up the meter took way too long… over 90 days with Evergy…. If we to offer any advice to SunPro, it would be to work a bit more closely with the energy company to get the meter exchange done in a timely manner.

Solar Installation - January 2022

Today's (January 10) solar Installation went very well. Shaquille handled the panel Installation professionally, and the electrical installation (I cannot remember his first name) was carried out professionally as well. Now just waiting for the final inspection, bi-directional meter hook up and electrical termination by FP&L. John handled all of the interior work professionally and efficiently - Nest thermostat Installation and training explanation, water heater wrap, light bulb replacements (81) with LEDs, and house pressure tested. Job well done by all.

New Customer

In today's world it is rare to find good customer service. Sunpro is an exception! I was notified multiple times via text and phone calls regarding the process from start to finish and the team did what they said they were going to do. My system has not been turned on yet but I look forward to having it commissioned and using Solar. The installation crew was very good and professional!

Don't Rush, Check Pricing and Learn about Solar

Don't Rush, SunPro won't. Just because a pandemic is going on Check Pricing. Learn about solar just not from sale Rep. If Buying a system with Battery Backup, Understand 1 battery is only good for items on a 20amp fuse in the house. So if you have Items on 40amp fuse you would need 2 battery Backup's and so on. Don't get over charged for item's because of the Pandemic (Personal I paid twice the amount for 1 battery, when they can still be bought for Less). I bought into the pandemic shortage and cost hype.

Sun pro makes going solar so easy ! they handle everything from permits to HOA guidelines. our account manager Paul Schlosser was always easy to get a hold of. the financing is very affordable and all the appointments and paperwork are handled by sun pro to make your life easier .

Schedule problems

I think they are understaffed and way behind and scrambling to get jobs done a two day job is now spread out over 3 weeks nothing they said is happening the way they said it was.
