Our sales person Kevin, and installers were awesome. Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Hardly any communication, several poorly educated people. Coordinating with the county and our utility company has been horrible. I would avoid.
On the installation day, the two individuals who came to install the panels on my house explained that because the way my house was built "a lot" of conduit would be required and it would be an "eyesore." This was never explained to me during any sales process. I said "well, don't install an eyesore, please." Now ADT Solar is claiming that I owe them a cancellation fee of $3,000. No one has rectified the situation. They have not been an impressive company to deal with. I feel that I have been unfairly treated.

They don't honor their promises
These people, after many months, still owe me for their commitment of a monthly payment compensation since they failed to complete the project on time. I had to threaten arbitration to get other promised moneys! I have reached out in good faith via phone, text, and email on numerous occasions and still get the run around. I know I have to pay my part on time, but it doesn't seem to be the case with these people. I am owed $200.30, was told I'd get it by the end of October, then November, and then the week of 12/5. Still...nothing. I have hit a dead end wall, so I guess all I can do is warn others that these people don't honor their promises.

They've already turned off my ability to comment on other social media platforms. I entered into agreement with then Sunpro, now ADT Solar. Great sales person but horrible Operations. They just cannot figure it out!! 13 months to install, many failed permits, tons of excuses for poor communication, and I had to hire an attorney to get out of my contract. I just want out and I'll continue to write reviews until ADT Solar does the right thing and let's me out of this nightmare. Do yourself a favor and do your homework. Do NOT trust this company
Step one: In April, I decided to get 4 different quotes for solar. I met with several companies, and while Sunpro was not the cheapest, I felt they were the best fit for me. If you would like to know, Momentum Solar was the cheapest, but did not offer some of the perks I was inclined to take. I was told at this time it would take 3-4 months to get the Solar up and running due to supply issues. That was fine with me. Step two: On April 18th, they installed my efficiency package. On this date, they surprised me and said it will only be 1-3 weeks until the panels are installed. I was excited at this time. Step three: After a couple of rescheduling issues on both sides, my panels finally got installed on 6/21/22. It went well, aside from the electricians not finishing their portion of the job due to an “emergency”. However, I received an email the following day requesting a signature for a product change. Supposedly, they were changing the panels I agreed to receive to another brand due to the discontinuation of the original panels. This wouldn’t have been an issue if discussed prior to the installation, but once I did research, I found out that the new panels were significantly cheaper and lower quality. So I called and requested either a price decrease or the original panels. A week later I had not heard back, so I texted the scheduling coordinator, who then said they were on the way to switch the panels. Luckily I was off work and home. Step four: Now it was a waiting game for CPS to come out and switch some stuff around that wasn’t up to code. This was the most frustrating because I had no news for weeks at a time, and was expected to pay for solar that was not functioning, on top of my electric bill. After several phone calls and messages, Sunpro finally agreed to reimburse me for the time period my solar was not hooked up. Step five: Once CPS finally approved the work order (10/5/22), they came out to my property unannounced several times, broke my fence and wifi cable, and tore up my yard. I won’t get into that, but just a piece of advice when starting a solar project: Insist on an inspection by your local energy provider, so you know what kind of damage has to be done to your property for this project that should be small. Step six: The Sunpro electricians came out to finish their job on 10/19/22. It was discouraging to hear the technician say he has to fix a lot of screw-ups the previous electricians made, who had gotten fired. After this, it needs to be inspected and one final step that I am not sure of yet. However, during their visit, they hit something in the wiring of my house, and now my only laundry room outlet does not work, as well as my ceiling fan/light in my bedroom. I called to get this fixed, and called again a week later when I did not hear back. I was told that they would arrive the following day, and they were “unable to give a time frame”. They did not arrive prior to 12:30, and I had an appointment that day. I thought I could leave for an hour and be fine, but they showed up 10 minutes after I left. Speaking with the technician through my doorbell camera, he did not even know why he was there. They are now supposed to arrive a week later. Step six continued: after several last minute calls to me while I’m at work, and unsuccessful attempts at scheduling a day to fix my wiring, the electricians were scheduled to come on Friday, 12/2, sometime between 12-6. They never showed up. No call to let me know why. I contacted my account manager. Someone else texted me the following Monday requesting to reschedule the appointment. It was then scheduled for Wednesday, 12/7. They were unable to give me a time slot, so I needed to be home all day. Once again, they did not show up, still not giving me a reason why. In addition to this, the team that was supposed to install my insulation also was a no call no show. So I left a message to inquire why. I have not received a reply as of yet.

I would never do this again had I known.
I had the same poor service and delays as well as multiple things broken, installed wrong. The final straw was when I figured I'd buy nine more panels. I own 58 panels. The salesman told me 20k for none panels, I balked. That was when I realized I could haggle. He dropped the price to 9k. What! I paid (like a sucker) 80K for the rest of the system. If I had known you could haggle I'd have saved tens of thousands. Additionally, I rationalized spending so much, thinking I'd offset my bill so much that I was prepaying my electricity for 25 years. NOPE! Only two months have had no bill. During the summer my bills were about what they were before this mistake. Lastly, I'm genuinely concerned that now that ADT has the company they will make it a monthly fee to "monitor".

Disorganized, False Promises and Regret
We started our solar journey back in June, where we were sold a system with all these fantastic savings we would realize. Fast forward to August when the system was installed, they forgot to install one panel. It took them a couple months to finally finish the job and it has since been a couple months and the system is still not operating, despite having payments upcoming. I refuse to pay for a system that does not work, along with a full electrical bill. I constantly reach out, but can never get any solid updates on anything, they just keep saying they are working on it. They have sent incorrect forms for me to sign, then have sent 6 different people to inspect, all of them doubling-up on the same paperwork. There is clearly a lot of disorganization around the process and I am regretting ever going down this path with solar. My next steps will be to involve the appropriate state agencies as I feel they are engaging in dishonest business practices of selling systems to people based on data that won't be realized because they can't get their act together. Again, I will not pay for a system that is not operational, along with my full electric bill.

Just Dont do it!
Solar just isnt worth it. Originally a Sunpro client, which the project once they locked you in took an eternity. The project was not completed ontime and took over 6 months to get up and running. Its always great paying for something that is not working. Now that ADT bought Sunpro, the panels that have been operating less than 6 months one is already out. You think you could get someone out to fix it? Nope been out since Sept, many phone calls now it’s December and still cant get a date to fix it. Yes they tell you everything comes with a 25 year warranty, but warranties are garbage if they wont come fix faulty equipment. All you get are excuses that they are short staffed, or ADT wouldnt let them hire anyone. Anyways not my problem and ADT is not living up to what I was promised. My advice DONT DO IT and run away from solar as fast as you can!

These panels are a joke
The whole sales process turns out was a joke and a lie. We live on the gulf coast and were told that they are covered for 25 yrs and that included weather related events/storms. Turns out thats a lie, literally nothing is covered. It took several months after install for them to finally get turned out so we lost a full summer of production and we paid an electric bill and loan note for the panel. Fast forward less than a year later more than half our microinverters went out and after months of back and forth and less than timely responses from the customer service department we finally got back up and running. It's been less than a month now and we are back to having the same issues. This is beyond frustrating to have spent this kind of money to not have them working and producing like they should.

I have been trying for 6 weeks to get that completed and get the system commissioned. No one returns calls, and when they finally do they have some kind of excuse as to way they can’t come and finish this project. I’m at the point with them they can come and get their solar panels and redo my roof from where they installed their crap and refund all the money. Save your money and time and avoid this company!

I have called customer service and have been advised of updates by the end of day and have yet to hear from anyone after 10 days. Job not completed
So the sales process was pretty good, however when ADT arrived to do the work they try to upsell me for an air cleaner for my central air unit. Which is why they received 1 star as opposed to 1.5 stars. Honestly the sales portion has been the only good thing from this experience to date. So first it took a few months to get an install date, which I expected. When we scheduled the first date for September 30th 2022 I was like finally. Then the day before I got a call saying they were going to have to reschedule because they didn't have enough people to do the job. I was annoyed they waited till the last minute to call me but chalked it up to employee shortages that everyone is experiencing. We were rescheduled for October 10th they never showed up and I had to call them to find out they couldn't come. Then we were rescheduled for the 14th so I was like fine. They did show up on the 14th and installed the solar panels and started the electrical work. It got dark and they were not finished the install. The electrician asked if he could return the next day because he couldn't see, I stated that would be fine BIG MISTAKE!!! The electrician called the next night around 730 to let me know he couldn't make it out and I would have to be rescheduled. I spoke with customer service on Monday and was told they would get back to me when they can reschedule me. It has been almost a month and I am still waiting. Quite frankly I am ready to tell them to come get their equipment and find a company that actually has the time and integrity to do the job that was agreed upon.
