Promises Broken

I had been assured by people in the company that if the roof was in poor condition in the area that they were going to put up the panels they would give me time to get my roof re-shingled before the panels would go up. They never told me anything was wrong with the roof and the panels went up. Later I had a roof inspection done due to some shingles on the front side of my house that needed to be nailed back down. After the inspection I was informed the entire roof needed to be done. Not only that but there were large bare spots on my roof under and around the panels. They then charged me thousands of dollars to have the panels taken off and put back up. The only silver lining in this whole situation is that my insurance was able to take care of it. If I did not I would be up that well known creek right now. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR SOLAR PANELS THEY WILL TRY TO GET EXTRA MONEY FROM YOU IN THE WORST WAYS POSSIBLE.

7 Months and still not energized!

On 9/1 I signed an approval of this project. My husband and I were so excited to become solar customers and play our part for the environment. The panels were installed in December and electrician hooked up in January. On March 19, 2023 my husband died. We still do not have working panels. I am sad, and now I am angry. The finance company wants its money but I am so frustrated. Do not go with ADT solar.

Do not use this company

This company lies about everything from what Solar can do for your light bill to when somebody is coming to “fix” the problem. We have NOT saved any money on our light bill and have had to have them come back several times to fix their mess and now I have a hefty Solar panel payment plus my usual hefty light bill. Worse financial mistake we’ve ever made! I wanna get out of this. Gonna have to hire a lawyer. This is such a fraudulent company that will tell you anything you want to hear. They are non responsive and don’t know what they’re talking about when they do call. They simply want to push you off and not fix the problem! What a mistake!!

I will agree with a lot of the other reviewers that said this company employs a bunch of liars! We paid for our system outright ($59K+) and the Enphase system has NEVER worked. They sent out several different people, before we paid them, whom were "posing" as electricians to shut us up and all they did was screw the Enphase up even worse. My husband and I have made repeated calls to customer service and have also sent text messages with our so called "Account Manager" who by the way is probably a computer because she never answers the text messages, and we have received absolutely NOTHING from them. Our system itself seemed to work for the first few months and now we are getting bills from our electric company in excess of $350 per month. All I can say is DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They are a complete rip off and now we will have to out pocket money to get an attorney and try to get our money back that we paid for the system. Even if that works out, we still have a bunch of equipment and holes in the stucco of our house! The only reason that I gave 1 star is because I had to to write the review. I wouldn't even give 0 stars!!!

DONT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY

My review starts with SunPro Solar and moves into ADT Solar. Whatever you all decide DO NOT go with this company. They are liars, they are manipulators, and they give you false promises. With Sunpro Solar I purchased the Tesla Battery for the house. My sales Rep promises me that they would install it for me at no extra charge if I would have decided to go with them. They also guaranteed me that I wouldn’t have to pay on the loan until I was up and operational which was FALSE. So, I had to pay for my electricity bill along with the solar panel payment. They have no control of when you start paying on the loan so, please be aware of those sales tactics. They are also going to offer you the 30% tax credit which you have 5 years to claim but they expect you to pay that 30% interest to the borrowing company within 6 months if you want to keep your interest at 1.9% as they will start you at. Communication between sales rep and corporate is non-existent. My project took almost 3 years to complete from start to finish. The city inspector came 3 times to inspect and every time they came it was someone else from Sunpro/ADT who did not have a clue what was going on with my project. I tried calling their customer support and was transferred from rep to rep as they did not have a clue of what was going on with my project. ADT customer service is one of the worse customer services I have ever encountered. They transfer you from rep to rep claiming that it is another department that is supposed to take care of your issue and in the end, nothing gets resolved. A perfect example is that one section of the solar panels was not working so I called to see what could be done. They told me that the easiest fix was for me to go out there myself and turn on/off the main box. They also stated that the earliest they could send a tech was 3 weeks. I'm like that is a whole month of me paying for something I'm not even using what is the going on?? The one thing that I can say positively about this shady company is that Amy Pittman formerly Amy Boudreaux is the person to get a hold of in any situation. She took the time to listen, care and make sure that my concerns were heard and taken care of. If it wasn’t for her, I could guarantee that I would still be trying to complete my project. So, my overall Rating for the company is (1 * star) and DO NOT RECCOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!

DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY

Do not trust ADT, they teach their sales people to LIE to their customers. My sales guy DeAndre Barber (Lithonia Ga) is a great sales person but everything he says is a lie. He will promise all kinds of incentives so he can run up that cost and when it's all said and done, he stop taking your calls. So I calls K. L. (redacted for privacy) (customer advocate) and she's a bigger liar than him. They told me I would've have to anything they would take take of it all and for the most they did, I can't lie. They touch bases with every updates and everything but as soon as it passed inspection, all of a sudden I had to connect the system, like wth? Don't get me wrong, very easy but why tell me a week later, why wait so long and then say, that's my job to do and someone was suppose to come out and change my bulbs and thermostats, now they say they are sending me a box of stuff and I'm responsible, just crazy. They were so nice in the beginning. I was telling my people how good this company is and how I was going to get the alarm system but they can forget. I'm telling all my people to never mess with this company. DeAndre said I would receive a incentive check 1 week after approval (the work was done right) and I call and the Kellie person, she jerked me around a whole week without returning my calls and text to email me it's going to be 4 months before I get what they said I would get in a week. LIARS Don't fool with this company

Waste of money

Total waste of money. Our electric bill is about 30 dollars less. Biggest financial mistake we've ever made. Salesman Totaled lied to us.

Stay away from this company

We had solar installed last year and ever since then the company leaves you high and dry. If you have an issue good luck getting anyone to answer the phone. January 5, 2023 I called because the combiner box mounted outside is hanging off. They said that they will send someone out. Here we are February 17 and I have yet to hear anything from the company. Worst customer service. I regret ever getting solar installed. If you are reading this and thinking about going solar, please don't. Especially with this company.

Do not get ADT Solar

My ADT Solar experience deserves no stars. My first experience with an ADT sales rep went pleasantly well. I was able to sign the contract and begin the process. The PROCESS is a NIGHTMARE. My contract was signed in August. Permit issued August 30th. Solar installed October 20th. Payments started December 20th. My reimbursement checks came January 22nd, 2 months after I made two payments and as of today February 13th, my solar is still not fully operable. To top things off, my inspection failed which is delaying things further and my main breaker needs to be upgraded due to electrical problems I am currently facing. My refrigerator is randomly cutting off and I need to flip the main breaker switch to get it back on. Currently no solution to this problem and it’s been a few weeks. Please do not choose ADT Solar. Installed - October 20th Still not fully operable as of February 13th

75 day install; said 2 days-Only errors so far, no electricity.

It took months to finally get a quote from them. Then it went downhill. I was told it would be a two-day installation. The panels were done in one day, but the electrical wasn't. However, even after multiple emails and calls it took them 5 weeks to come back, but they couldn't even manage to finish the install after the 2nd full day. Again it was over a month before they came back for day 3 of the installation. The tech didn't finish that day, but did return the next day (day 4) and complete the installation. A couple of days after that the system went live. I logged into the online account that allows you to monitor the system only to find out there were 18 errors with the system, and that it hadn't produced any electricity for my home. I reported this a few days ago, and not surprisingly nothing's been done about it. I'm now nearly 3 months from the 1st install day and I still don't have a solar system I can use. OH, but they do make sure to get paid the full amount of the system prior to the start of installation. I've tried at least a dozen times to get to speak to someone above the person who oversaw my account, but they're refused to speak to me, or even email me back. They've refused to refund any of my money for the inexcusable delays. Who says they're doing a two-day job only to have a 5 week gap in between the days? No one worth using for sure! The electricians that came the first two days were incompetent and slow. They were to install a 220V outlet for my car to charge. There was a rough hole cut in the sheetrock and the outlet was just pushed back inside the sheetrock. I had solar installed on a home before by a different company; a good company. Unfortunately, they didn't have an installer in this area. The difference between the two was night and day. They were competent, professional and timely. The system didn't have errors as soon as it was set up. In fact, it didn't have any during the time I lived there. I have zero confidence in the product or people involved with ADT Solar. I would say, yes you should get solar, just not from them.

they do not know what they are doing

has anyone had a bad experience with ADT SOLAR. I’ve been waiting over 6 months to get my system and they cant get there permits submitted properly. after 6 months of this i ask to cancel my loan and they wanna force me to pay $3000 or 10% of my loan when there has been no materials delivered to the job sight or any permits accepted. So think twice before you choose them.

Terrible Company

On 7/12/2022 I signed a contract that states installation will take between 30-120 days from signing. Additionally the salesperson told me, "120 days is just a safety net they put. I've never had an installation take more than 2-3 months." This was important to me signing the contract as I wanted completion in CY22. After horrendous communication of ignoring my calls and e-mails and taking 1-2 weeks to respond to anything I was told that they are very delayed because my towns permit department was unresponsive. In a 5 minute phone call to my town, they told me they never received a permit and were happy to assist in anyway they could. Since I have another 4 projects going on that required permits from them, all of which went smoothly, I see no reason to assume wrongdoing. After informing ADT solar which promptly blamed the town, I called back the next day in which the town told me they received the application for the first time 12 minutes after my call to ADT solar but the application was not fully filled out and needed to be resubmitted. At this point I asked to terminate my contract, and was put into contact with multiple managers who promised it will get better. They changed my project coordinator and gave me contract numbers to reach them directly if something happens. The new project coordinator took 2 weeks to introduce themselves and with an automated message. They did not respond to my communication. I called the managers but did not get a response, leaving voice mails. I was never called back. Since then once a week I've received an automated message telling me they are working diligently to get my solar install date scheduled. It's been another two months and today I received my first non automated message that they realized they need to connect my electricity company first to schedule a short turn off time for the installation process... As of today it had been 200 days since I signed my contract. I've spent upwards 50+ hours on the phone and had to directly contact my towns permitting department to get my permit through as ADT solar failed basic communication. To make things worse, the only thing I have confirmation that ADT solar has done in these 200 days is get that permit.... which I basically had to do myself as they were doing nothing. I've never experienced this level of incompetence for any business I've worked with. Its unfathomable how incapable they are .

SCAM !

Panels installed on the roof but not hooked up to generate electric. It has been since February 2022 !!! Today Jan 27th 2023 the system is still not working despite numerous calls and emails that were never replied or returned. ADT Solar stopped refunding the finance charges they promised to keep paying till the system is up and running back in Oct. We are now working with the attorney general for our district to get the company to honor the contract that THEY engaged themselves to. Do your homework and stay away from ADT Solar !!!

This company is not to be trusted. They are very pushy and barely lets you read the contract and doesn't tell you about the cancellation fees or the fact they will put lien on your house without your knowledge. I tried to cancel my contract and they were very rude and pushy and when I kept insisting to cancel, they stopped picking up my calls and ignored my emails. And now they sent me a bill to pay because the deadline was passed which was their fault. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY OR YOUR HOUSE WILL HAVE A LIEN AND YOU END UP PAYING $3,000 FOR NOTHING.

Scam

They lie right from the beginning, if I had to do it again I would say no! Started in May 2021 and cost $95,000.00 what a waste still getting electric bills for over $1,000.00 can get no help they say we have to wait tell it gets assigned, we can’t connect to the system to see what it’s doing so customer service says they will send a link to connect be still cannot get it to work, call back and they tell you you have to wait for it to get assigned that can take two weeks, they saw there can’t see the usage of where not connected I call bull shit! If your thinking about going solar think twice!! The guy that came to the house when we started made promises that never happened like paying for or phon/ internet service for a month because they cut the wires and putting money in the account to start us off with money tell the panel started producing all lies!

Run away

4 months into the project and no communication. No install and no reimbursement for panels installed in August. None of the agreed promises have been performed, they blame TEP. Don’t do it, you will be stuck with no response and no reimbursement. Nidia, Luis et el could not get a response from the company they work for! Think about that before you go solar, this has been a nightmare!

ADT Scam 282 days and waiting

We signed a contract on April 06, 2022 with ADT Solar, to have Solar panels installed, they were going to repay us the cost of the Solar panels for the first year and they were going dig in new underground wiring from the main in the back of our lot to the house, replace the electrical service boxes on the back of the house, replace all of the light bulbs in & out of the house with new energy efficient LED bulbs, replace our thermostat with a Google Nest learning Thermostat, Seal the Ductwork joints, perform a "Air Door Test", wrap the water heater for better efficiency and the ONLY things they have COMPLETED is they installed the Solar panels on the roof in May 2022, they came out and replaced about 1/2 of the light bulbs and wrapped the water heater put the thermostat on the wall. Then to top that off I started getting billed for the solar panels from Scratch the company that financed the solar panels on the roof in July 2022 (the panels are not wired or hooked up, they do NOTHING). I have Called, Text, Emailed, Spoken to customer service, I have left MANY messages and NOTHING is followed up on or finished by ADT and that’s been 282 days ago as of today Jan 13, 2023. We signed up with ADT Solar because we were TOLD that the system would be up and running and we would not being billed any more from APS and we would be building/ adding energy credits from the end of June 2022 forward, and we would be able to apply and get the tax credit for 2022 for installing Solar. It asks for Solar panel manufacturer but we never got any information about them from ADT

Horrible Company with SUPER HORRIBLE customer service!!!!!!!!!

I was told i would NOT have to pay any more electricity bills. Well that was a terrible LIE. During the summer I was paying twice the amount I was paying before I had these crooks. My most recent electric was $138 more than my regular bill and I have gas heat. It is so hard to get these crooks on the phone I tried to call a few days ago 1st time was on hold 20 min. 2 other times was on hold 10 min. each NO ANSWER!!!! They were going to send some one out days ago to fix things however no calls or any one showing up either. DO NOT LET THEM SELL THIS CRAP TO ANY MORE OF YOU!!!! As it turns out my solar is not providing the power correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn’t keep their promises.

The salesman promised us several things including a $3000 credit with the electric company, rebate and $0.00 bill after the system was up and running. after almost two years they told us that the panels would be working from September 12th 2022 but I still continue to receive the bills at normal values ​​plus the financing of the panels that is we are paying double after the solar panels. scam scam scam

Was lied to by the sales rep about how the system would work. Was told it would take 2 working days to complete. Guys came out and worked for 4hrs then left. 2 months later another installer came to finish the panel install. Another 2 months went by with no communication from the company. I called and called and finally a crew came out and installed part of the electrical, leaving after 2hrs. Another 2 months went by and again I had to spend 2 days on the phone to get anyone to respond. Needless to say permits weren’t submitted on time work didn’t pass inspection the first time. After spending a week communicating with every contact that I had for them an electrician came out and worked until midnight to get the system passable! The excuse that is used by their headquarters in Louisiana repeatedly is that they are short handed. The paperwork for permission to operate the system was submitted to the power company 2 weeks late! 10 months later I’m making payments on my loan with a nonfunctional system! Had to get a lawyer and stop payment on the loan. Next step I guess is to have them remove their equipment and restore my house back to normal. ADT Solar is the worst experience that I have ever had with any company ever! I was a contractor for 10 years and never saw anyone operate in this fashion.

System not online / Poor Customer Service

System installation went well with no issues. I have been waiting for over 4 months for the inspection and system to be online. I am not about to make my third payment on the solar loan, and had been guaranteed that I would be reimbursed for solar loan payment if the system was not online. After (finally) reaching Cheyenne Bagshaw on Nov 17 and sending proof of payments, was told that reimbursement checks for Nov and Dec would be sent out. Now it is end of Dec 22 and not checks and cannot reach anyone at ADT Solar (including supervisor !) Non existent customer service and communications after installation.

Unorganized and failure to complete their project on time

We contracted with them to put solar panels and a battery on our house. In May of 2022. They arranged financing at a low rate. We experienced delay after delay due to their miscommunication within their company. Eventually it was time to put the solar panels on the house but they have refused, saying that the financing offer had expired. Turns out they too, so long to get the job done that financing offer had expired and they failed to request and extension. Their offer was for us to fill out a new application for financing at a higher interest rate. This would add approx $6,000 to the total bill. While it was their fault for the delays and failure to request an extension, they refuse to absorb the additional cost. During installation they destroyed a basement wall and put a large hole in the ceiling. I was told to higher someone to do the repairs because they guy they used had quit. They said submit the bill for repairs and they’d pay it. The repairs to the wall and ceiling came to $700. Per their instructions I texted a picture of the bill on Nov 2, 2022. It’s now December 29th and we have yet to be reimbursed for that out of pocket expense. A full month went by between the electrical work and rough inspection. Electrical was completed Sept 29th. We received a call in late October asking us why we didn’t have the electrical work done. They didn’t even know it was comp,eyed by their own workers and hadn’t requested the rough inspection, creating yet another delay. At the inspection they sent out an electrician who didn’t work on the project. The schematics didn’t match the work and the electrician they sent couldn’t answer the inspectors questions. The rough inspection was conditionally passed but, the inspector required they redraw their electrical schematics to match the work that had been done. Apparently the work didn’t match what was in paper. At this point I’m going to have to cash out part of our 401K and pay cash to get the project done with ADT Solar refusing to responsibility for creating this mess. I do not recommend this company and once we are finished with them, won’t ever recommend them to anyone we know. If we ever hear of anyone considering the, we will strongly recommend they find another company as they fail to keep their promises or take responsibility for their mistakes.

Still waiting for installation

Signed up for solar in August 2022. We were scheduled for installation in November. There was a small amount of rain that day. They never came out they never called to say they wouldn’t be coming. We have contacted them weekly since for an installation date. They haven't been able to provide one. Terrible service and follow up
