Beware

Purchased solar from sunpro in May 2020. Besides paying for solar have also been paying full price with Gulf Power company for last 9 months. Was not told that this may be the case because net metering was not installed until Feb 2021. Each company blames each other but I am still paying full price for two utilities until March 2021. Would discourage anyone from buying from this company. Not good business practice and do not get return phone calls from company about being reimbursed.

Their contract states that the 2nd mortgage on the solar panels are assumable until you sell your home and then you find out you must pay the balance to get your home sold. The second mortgage is held by Chevron and they will not let the new home buyer assume the loan.

Sunpro, and in particular Hector, made going solar, simple and painless. Hector thoroughly explained the whole process, and also ensured that he was present when it came time for the panel installation. He has made himself available at all hours of the day and night for any questions that I have had, and ensures that all my questions are answered. Hector is a kind man, and has excellent customer service skills. I truly appreciate Sunpro and Hector for such a wonderful experience.

Work crews severely lacking attention to detail.

The GOOD: 26 solar panels installed in one day. Pricing and financing are unbeatable. Clearly set expectations and communication from the "HQ" staff, and finance representatives. Sales person has been on point, professional, was forthcoming and honest. We did not feel pressured to buy, did not get "over sold" or pushed into anything. The BAD: Works crews lacked attention to detail, and the level of professionalism that would have made this a great experience. The solar panel installation crew left bits of trash all around the house. Plastic bags, plastic bits, nuts&bolts, 3-foot sections of aluminum mounting rails. They left a portable circular saw just sitting on the ground around the side of the house. I put the saw in my garage promptly informed them of it, and it took them two weeks to come pick it up. The "energy efficiency" expert left both attic lights on and didn't say anything. The lights were on for three days before I discovered them. What is the point of having solar panels if you leave my lights on? The electrical crew left bits of wire and plastic in the area they were working in. I noticed today that there is a piece of damaged siding where they were working. It looks like someone put their ladder right under the siding, and when they moved the ladder they damaged it. There was no damage to my house before they got there to work. If it was damaged when they started working, they should have said something to not get blamed for it. If they damaged it by accident, they should have said something because accidents happen and I would have understood. I have taken pictures of everything to have proof. How can I in good faith recommend this company to any friends or family members? I can't, and I won't, and now I have doubts about the workmanship done to install the panels. I hope the panels were handled and installed with a higher level of attention to detail than was shown for other aspects of the job. My recommendations to others customers: -Take pictures of all sides of your house before any work starts, so can prove if the crews cause damage to the house. -Make it clear that your expectation is that all trash will be picked up before they leave. That includes any trash in empty lots next to your house. -Make it clear that any attic lights will be returned to the off position, and any areas the work crews enter will be left in the original condition. -Make sure you have a direct contact to submit complaints of any kind. Document everything, save your emails as proof. -Wait at least a month before writing up a review so you have time to discover defects and inefficiencies.

Bitter and frustrated

When I bought my system last year, I was assured that the system would be installed in "one or one-and-a-half months". It is February now (2021), and I still don't have any working system.

Professional and easy

Sunpro solar has great customer service. With solar energy still not being a common thing I wanted a company that will follow up on any problems. Sunpro solar has my trust that they will be there when I need them.

So we were super excited to get the install crew going, they were very accommodating,ie. Getting masks, they measurements on our roof were off and they could not install all the panels as planned. The entire company got together and we got options and made a plan. Installation still continued and as far as I know all parties are happy. Install crew for the panels... amazing

Fixed

It hasn't been easy going solar. It takes ALOT of patience. It took about 2 months to get panels installed and working after I agreed to buy them. There's little communication during the "dead" period of getting HOA approval, permits, and installation. Then after a couple of months I realized the usage/import/export numbers on the Enpase app wasn't matching up with my utility meter. I called the Sunpro office and was told everything looks good on their end. I contacted a sales rep and he was able to have the office schedule for an electrician to come out and look at the CT's. Don't ask, I don't know what they are, but they were fixed and all is good. I'm now a satisfied customer. Sunpro isn't a perfect company, I'm not a perfect person either. But, with patience and perseverance from me, Sunpro took care of the issue. Although I'm paying a little more now for the panels and the utility bill, my overall electric costs will be alot less in a few years. EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE

From start to finish we have been delighted with the engagement, installation and performance of our system! We only pay $16-18 per month for electricity use mostly in fees! The income tax rebates came in as promised! The other benefit was they gave us a $1000 paid to Dominion which we still have a credit balance after 1 year and in-home energy gadgets ie. Nest Thermostat, lights and attic blanket which further helps us save $$! Super pleased!

Don’t use Sunpro!!

The salesman acted as an inspector and declared our roof good, no need to replace, after we wanted to replace the roof. First rain event after installation and we had a leak in the roof that flooded our living room. Sunpro would only come remove the panels so we could repair our roof AFTER they had proof of insurance reimbursement. Now they are holding us hostage to put the panels back on by not performing the work until paid. Sunpro is inexperienced, staff comes and goes constantly so you don’t even know who is working there anymore, and their business is solely based on money...no customer loyalty or respect. DON’T USE SUNPRO!!! BIG MISTAKE!! -Licensed Landscape Architect

OMG, I've had the worst experience with this company, started the project Sept. now its Dec and they haven't finished the project waiting on inspections so PNM can come put the meter. They do not return calls, msgs or emails. They say they are coming a certain day and never show up. People looking to go solar this is a warning DO NOT go with this company....Disappointment is what they have to offer.........

The Best in Solar

I researched and talked with 2 other solar providers before Chad came along. One was a low cost, low quality, local provider. They were nice, and pleasant, but I got the impression going with them would be a mistake due to their limited resources. The second was Shine Solar. They continually badgered me and gave me 4 different prices before I finally blocked them and almost gave up on doing solar at all. Then, Chad came along, showed me what SunPro could do, with a calm demeanor and no pressure. SunPro had about the same pricing as what Shine finally offered on their 4th attempt, plus extras, like utility bill credits and home energy improvements at no additional charge. Bottom line, my monthly solar bill is less than what it would be with OEC, my electric utility. I never have to worry about rate hikes, which are an annual occurrence. I received a tax credit, which I turned into a "free" hot tub that will operate on electricity my panels will generate. My home is energy efficient and liberated from OEC. And, I'm doing my part to limit my carbon footprint. If you live in the OK metro, there is no reason not to consider SunPro Solar. Nothing out of pocket, no electric bill, a solar payment that's less than my electric bill was, tax credit, and even some energy efficiency gifts from SunPro. On top of that, Chad Miller Sunpro works our area, and you couldn't ask for a better, more trustworthy sales associate. Thanks again Chad!

They came in showed me what would work and we came to a conclusion that a ground mount was my best option and no other company cared enough to look at that. It made a huge increase in production and I highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

A great product and company

I enjoyed working with SunPro Solar, they kept me up to date on the progress of the install, and answered any questions I had. My county is notoriously hard to work with and during the pandemic, even more so. But they doggedly followed up with the permit process and we finally got approval. It took some time, but I now have a solar system in place and it is working beautifully.

After extensive research with many different companies, we had it narrowed down to two. Sunpro Solar was by far the best in terms of everything. From the initial consult with Blake to the weekly dealings with Matthew, we were blown away by this company's professionalism, organization and thoroughness. They handled everything! It was a great experience and I HIGHLY encourage people to use this company. We even asked for a yard sign to advertise them, that's how much we loved this company.

Sunpro solar has been the worst experience I have ever had !!!

A friend told me about them, I was sold an equal production rate to my usage and maby does 30%, horrible customer service, home damage with no repairs, still trying to get 30-50% buy down with interest and install more panels and no one will ever call back... I suggested just remove them and they won’t... My rep was gone immediately and have had exceptionally terrible service since I started... I cant believe I have to give a one star rating, you deserve a negative rating...
