Great company

Really happy that we are going solar. I have been wanting it for a really long time. The crew and everyone that I have spoken too has been very punctual and has done everything that they said they would do.

Long wait

We have been nothing but happy with SunPro solar from the sales staff, the install team, to our account reps, but the wait to hook up the meter took way too long… over 90 days with Evergy…. If we to offer any advice to SunPro, it would be to work a bit more closely with the energy company to get the meter exchange done in a timely manner.

Excellent Customer Service

We just got our solar panels installed last June 14, 2021 and we received excellent customer, follow ups and proper up to date information by Ana Brice. She was our account manager and she made the process smooth every step of the way. She worked very hard to address of our all concerns. We are forever thankful for all her help and professionalism.

Sunpro is one of the best company by far in the solar system business. I'm so happy and pleased on how my project was handled. I would not stopped recommending the company to families and friends. They have a customer service top notch, especially, the team I had working with me starting from the agent Brian Hursey who signed me up to Ana Brice Account Manager, Jason Tanner lead, Jessica Assistant and everyone that took part of that project deserved a recognition. Solar Installation - January 2022

Today's (January 10) solar Installation went very well. Shaquille handled the panel Installation professionally, and the electrical installation (I cannot remember his first name) was carried out professionally as well. Now just waiting for the final inspection, bi-directional meter hook up and electrical termination by FP&L. John handled all of the interior work professionally and efficiently - Nest thermostat Installation and training explanation, water heater wrap, light bulb replacements (81) with LEDs, and house pressure tested. Job well done by all.

Worst Consumer Experience

Sunpro is by far the worst solar company to work with. They have been working on my installation since April 2021. I am still where I started. Multiple ppl have come out to "correct" issues. Apparently no one knows what they are doing. There installation has caused 2 boxes to burn up. Which could've caught my house on fire. We have been inconveniened on numerous occasions. Including staying in hotel for week due to improper paperwork and installation. Sunpro is never apologetic, they obviously could careless and rarely return calls. At this point sunpro should come remove their panels and dismiss my loan. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SUNPRO TO MY WORST ENEMY!!

A great experience

From sales to installation The SunPro has been amazing. Michael walked me step-by-step through the purchase of my solar system. The installation team arrived promptly and walked me step-by-step through the installation and kept me informed throughout the process. They took extra care to clean up after themselves and not to damage any landscaping. I am very pleased with SunPro and look forward to a long relationship.

We Made the Right Decision

We'd been curious for a long time about getting solar energy, but had been turned off by too many solicitation calls and aggressive "used car salesman" type pressure pitches. Plus we'd heard stories of people having negative experiences either with the companies they dealt with or their solar systems themselves. I decided to learn as much as possible about both the good and the bad from unbiased sources and make our own decision as to whether solar would be a good fit for us. One of the main things we had to decide was what was the reason (or reasons) we wanted solar and what were our expectations. There are so many solar companies out there it was also very important to us that we felt comfortable with the sales rep and could put our trust in them and the company they worked for. As a result of what I learned I came up with a list of questions to ask any prospective solar company, so we'd feel confident in our decision. Long story short, Trey, the SunPro rep was the only one who answered all of our questions in a way that gave us confidence and made us feel comfortable to put our trust in SunPro. There was absolutely no pressure sales or promises that seemed misleading. He was honest, patient, knowledgeable and sincere. We could tell he was concerned with making sure all our questions were answered and we made the right choice for us. He even answered some questions we didn't know to ask! That, combined with SunPro's incentives, guarantees, and support provided after the system is installed helped us make our decision. Trey and SunPro have come through 100% and delivered everything and more that they promised and we expected. It was a very easy and pain free process. We're extremely happy we made the choice to go solar with SunPro and recommend them highly to anyone even remotely considering going solar. Our decision to go solar and to use SunPro was the absolute right decision for us!

Friendly and Professional

Everyone that showed up was very friendly and professional. They showed up when they said they would, provided a breakdown of what they were going to do and answered all my questions. I was surprised how quickly the installation of panels went. The electricians adapted very well to the surprises you would expect when working on a 30-year old home. The energy guys were very diligent in their work.

GO SUNPRO GO

Everything from the initial consultation to the install was fantastic. Andrew Roberts was my sales rep, he was professional, we talked about many things outside of just solar. Made it feel as if he was really helping me out rather than just selling me something. He’s met with a few of my friends already because I was confident in his honesty and professionalism. Only negatives I have was they did not finish my energy audit on the first go around. My house is on the bigger side and there was only 1 guy that was here until 11 pm, and still had not finished the install on the inside. Now my account manager Rachel has kept me in the loop every week with weekly emails and phone calls and it was good to know that they were always thinking about me and not leaving me in the dark. Overall fantastic experience!

Budget breakdown of what I paid

Hello, Several times with your salesmen I had asked for a breakdown of the costs of my payments and even provided a sample spreadsheet. But, no one responded and keep saying that the request will go to management. So, as most Americans we get a receipt of itemized items we purchase anywhere. When your salesman comes and magically comes up with a cost of solar power installation for my house within in minutes, there is a software on the laptop that spits out the number which relates to some sort of itemized listing of costs. Why is it so difficult to provide me with that software listing of costs each time I pay. I thought the installation of the solar power was efficient and crew very nice. What was the cost of the 5 installers of the solar panels, 2 electricians, 2 energy evaluators and the 2 sales reps who came to my house?

Good experience

Nothing works

A crew came over to the house to finish up the breakers this morning. The system is erroneously telling me that there’s an outage and it’s not allowing power to feed from the grid. It’s 11pm and we have no power and there’s nobody available to address the problem. I’ve been dealing with this company for almost a year and it has been a nightmare with issue after issue.

Total Regret

I wish I never went with this company. I have had to deal with issues since the day they came to install everything. First off they didn't put one breaker completely back in so I didn't have power for that breaker. They sent someone other then the person who installed it who didn't know what the previous guy did and ended up causing more damage. They put a hole in my ceiling and damaged my car. So then I had to have them fix that. They were fast on the ceiling but my car was another matter. That took over a month for me to get my money for that. Then paperwork wasn't filed right with the city, so they canceled the appointment after the man came. Then they rescheduled that appointment and then the day before they called me to cancel. Well the inspector showed up and automatically failed it because he wasn't notified that it was canceled. So then a third appointment had to be done. Then after that the paperwork for the electric company wasn't done right and that had to be redone which set everything behind another 2 weeks. Then the final straw is they still didn't commission the battery so that isn't working.

Eric and his crew arrived about 8:45am and were done about 1:00 pm. Very nice to deal with! Then Juan and his crew came about 9:30am and finished up about 3:00pm. Nice group of guys! After the installation was done, my Sunpro solar specialist came by to check on the work that was done and to see how it went. Mary Guinn was very helpful in getting the job done!

Start to finish

When I first signed up with sunpro, they were very helpful and friendly. Everything was going well till the panels were installed. Little by little I heard less and less from them. I was told that everything would be done by October of 2021, here we are January 7th of 2022 and still can't get them to come and do the energypro part of the contract. I guess I paid for that and got screwed. As soon as I started making payments to the credit union all communication stopped. Watch out for them they start out nice til you start paying the they cut you off.

Sales pitch

I am very pleased with the product but very disappointed with the sales pitch. I sat with my salesman for 3 hours and as part of the information given it was stated that if I ever needed a new roof that I would have to use Sunpro to remove the panels or I would void the warranty, no problem. It was also stated that this company also does roofing. I would think that if you have the expertise, you should inspect the existing roof before panel installation because what was not mentioned was the quite expensive cost of the removal. As it turned out my roof started leaking which I thought was caused by the panels, but it turned out that was not the case, I needed a new roof. I contacted 3 local roofing companies and signed a contract with one of them, then I contacted Sunpro to remove panels and was told to my surprise I would be sent an estimate This is a case of my word against the salesman but I'm pretty sure a cost for removal was never mentioned, and I was shocked when I received it, it was more than half of what the new roof was going to cost. I talked to my roofer, and he agreed to void our contract but as he had already purchased the materials, I would have to pay a restock fee. I then gave Sunpro a shot at doing my roof and even though the removal fee was supposedly waived it was more expensive than if I had paid the fee and used my own roofer. I think every aspect of your sales should be discussed at the beginning including a roof inspection, removal fee and advising the customer to have it checked before the install, it would have saved me a lot of money. As I said at the beginning, I am happy with the product, most of the people I dealt with were very nice but as I told the salesperson the last time, I spoke with him I am very dissatisfied with him and his performance.

Terrible service!

Terrible service! I was very excited about this. I had my solar panels installed on June 1, 2021. And until then, it was a pleasant process. On August 5, I received an email saying that they are ready for inspection. They set up an inspection for August 17, and starting with August 27 I started receiving weekly emails saying that they are waiting for Post Install Letter to complete the Inspection. After I asked why this is taking so long, they realized that no inspection took place. On Oct 28, they wrote me sating that there was a confusion with the Electrical Permit number; a simple miscommunication; so there was no inspection done yet. Then we rescheduled it for early November. I said I can be available all day except 2.40-3.00 pm for the given day since I had to pick up my kids from school. They said no problem, they will let the city know. That day, I took the day off to wait for the inspection, no one came. I asked what happened, on Nov 9 they said, they will learn about it let me know what happened. Then, they realized no inspection took place, and they said they will reschedule it again. In late november and early december, no one replied my emails asking what happened. Then my account manager changed. A new person was appointed. He said he would set up an appointment as soon as possible, and scheduled it for Jan 3, 2022. I took my day off; and waited all day; not even leaving for 5 minutes.. No one came.. I called SunPro, they said they would not know why no one came and that I should call the City of Greensboro. I called the City, and what did I learn? They did not even schedule an inspection for Jan 3. Furthermore, the city was extremely helpful and flexible for scheduling inspections. Per our conversation they immediately scheduled it for Jan 5. And I called SunPro and they told me that they cannot accept this new schedule, because it turns out that SunPro had outstanding balance to the city regarding my permit for some reason. That’s probably why they could not schedule my inspection in the meantime. They said they would resolve it, call the city and reschedule the inspection. To my surprise, they did not. The City of Greensboro's inspection team arrived on Jan 5 but SunPro dis not. I called and sent several emails to SunPro about this; no one replied. The inspectors called them too. I still have not heard of anything. The inspectors went ahead and finished the inspection. They could not pass the inspection anyway as they did many things wrong. So far, they were telling me that it is difficult to schedule inspection because of the City. It turns out that it was quite easy and efficient to work with the City Inspectors but SunPro team was not even capable of arranging it. So, now I will need to wait for them to come and fix their system and to have a new inspection. Yet, they are not replying to my voicemails or SMSs so far. It has been more than 7 MONTHS since my solar panels have been installed. I cannot use them until they made necessary changes and pass the inspection. They won't send you the 2,000 USD check they promised until the system is running. But you will be paying for the loan + the regular electric bill. The only good thing is they reimburse you in the meanwhile from time to time, but you need to find them, remind them, go after that. I am highly unsatisfied.
