Do not purchase

Our panels were installed 2021. They are still inoperable. There is not a follow Thru after installation Erroneous information provided by sales department. The city we live in does not participate in the buy back program During our initial sales pitch we were not informed that we only utilize power from the panels during sunny, day light hours only. We were informed of this in 2022 after we noticed there was no change in our electric bill. In March 2022 we were informed that our panels were not working properly. A service technician was assigned to correct the problem. April 2022, we received another bill and still did not notice a change in the monthly rate. At that time we were informed by our Utility company that they do not participate nor have they ever participated in the solar buy back program. That should have been disclosed during the sales pitch and that would have played a major role in determining if were going to purchase the panels. I contacted Sun pro and asked to speak with a Manager only to be told none were available to speak with. I would have to send an email to file a complaint. We are now stuck with a major purchase that was supposed to have assisted with lowering our monthly costs. Only to be stuck with a very expensive solar panel bill as well as our regular utility bill costs.

Worst company for installation of solar Panel. This is a trap.

This is worst company (Sunpro an ADT company) with worst customer service I have seen so far in United sates. I have valid reason for that: 1. The sales manager whom with i signed the contract left before my project started. He did some promises and calculations and give me chat and email when I signed the contract. When he left no body cared from sunpro side what promised he made. When I try to cancel the contract they asked me pay 3000$ because by that time the free cancellation time expired. 2 . They damaged my roof while installing the roof. It’s been more than 6 weeks I am waiting for the reimbursement for that because they approved the reimbursement and asked me repair the roof with the roofing company who installed my roof. But reimbursement is really tricky they asked me to pay now I am not getting it back from them. 3. The territory sales manager Marc Accera is real problem, he and his team confirmed over the phone and in the email that during deferment period of 60 days there will not any interest rate charged on my loan. However the contract between Sunpro and financial company(dividend) who provide the loans is written in a way that the day installation of panel is completed they will start charging the interest rate on your loan irrespective of whether the solar panel are operation or not. However when I called sales territory manger Marc about it, he convinced me that there will not be any intrest charged during this period. But after talking to dividend(financial company) that is not true. 3. I can’t file any complaint to the customer relationship department as the panel are not active and my account doesn’t move to them. So there is no way you can file or raise your concern. The account who os assigned to me is helpless. She can’t do anything. 4. The sales person who came to sign the contract with you is not well educated in terms of the program they are selling, this is a trap, as they say you will get 24% federal credit in taxes but that is subject to several conditions which they don’t explain to customers. 5. They have a interior calculating system that in which they will show you all the calculations but that is real trap, they will add customer credit back from sunpro and federal credit which you will get after 12 weeks that is agin not sure and federal credit again in next calendar year. Once you will get them then the payment they show you and influence you with those numbers is actually after one year however during that time the monthly payment is almost the double they shows you. Plus the federal tax credit 24% is not an guarantee. 5. The sales manager told me the deferment period is 90 days which is again not true. That is 60 days plus catch of interest rate that they will charge you even the sunpro panel are not operational. 6 Another catch is service fee and bade charged of current electrical company that you have pay and is fixed. Which os almost 30% of your monthly electric bill which will continue during the entire loan cycle and not going be depreciated from your bill. In the end you will be paying more money to this fraud company than to your current electric company.

Save money!

Going solar seemed intimidating and expensive but after talking with Brandon and Ifeanyi I realized going with Sunpro solar only made sense. I will be saving money by switching over to solar and will finally be OWNING my energy. If you have any reservations about switching to solar I recommend talking to a sales representative to find out more information.

Would've been 5 stars but...

Before this morning. I would've given SunPro Solar 5 stars! I am really disappointed to say that now I cannot. Everything went well with the installation and keeping me abreast of what was going on and my timeline. I was very pleased with that communication. Then, last week I was told my system was on and working after a few simple steps completed on my side during a phone call. This morning though... I find out the system was cut back off and my system was not on so.... for an entire week I'm getting a system down of changing my routine for electricity use to during the day thinking I'm doing so great and feeling proud that I'm using my solar panels... only to find out... im actually not! It was very disappointing and confusing for me bc I had no idea and I'm frustrated. If you accidently allowed me to cut it on, that's on you. And if it was cut off I should've been notified immediately so I knew where I stood. Here i an reading the app that's letting me know what's going on and i has no clue and didn't what i was reading evidently. Overall, good experience but right now still not on and won't be for a few days, so no "go me! Go solar!" quite yet.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I am writing this REVIEW to inform you of how disappointed I am in the company's customer service and ethics. This contract for the solar panels was signed in May 2021, and we have yet to pass the inspections. We began working on the project when our project manager Ana called up to schedule the panel installation. We did not have our panels installed until August 2021. At the first inspection, the panels did not pass because the representative was nowhere to be found, and later, he was found sleeping in the car after the inspector left. Still, to this day, we have not passed any inspection. We just had an inspection today March 25th where the electrician did not show, and the inspection did not pass for multiple reasons. These reasons were the same ones from the last inspections, where no one came out to our property to fix it before today. We are about to reach one year into this project, and there has not been any progress or attempt to fix our issues. Additionally, we have received the check for the loan on the panels a month or almost two months behind. Let's keep in mind that I still do not have any functioning panels. I constantly contact Ana, and the answer I receive is" I hear you" and no solution. I have communicated with Ana about my concerns and needs, which have not been met. I will be requesting compensation for my time and displeasure working with your company. You can return all my money, pick up your pannels, and terminate the contract as it seems that all our concerns have fallen on deaf ears.

Professional install team!

The install team was professional and quick. They were knowledgeable and courteous, and cleaned up when done.

Sold products not offered

I bought a $60k system from Sunpro in 2019 and had no issues. The replaced my roof and installed my solar system. Fast forward 18 months I contacted them about adding two Tesla solar walls. No issue until a few weeks in Tesla pulls back on inventory. After several months it turns out that Sunpro will no longer be getting Tesla batteries. After taking with a project manager they offered another brand of batteries. First they said two would be good but then we decided to go with 4 so I could run my entire house. After many delays they had a second project engineer say we needed 8 batteries to run 3 bedroom 3 bath 200amp service home. This put the project over $100k. Sunpro was a great company but after the ADT buy out they have no clue what they are doing.

What a nightmare.

This company is a scam. They back dated my contract and have never finished their installation. Nobody answers their phones or email. One of their representatives called me and left a 6-minute message cousin me out because she forgot to hang up and kept talking to her friend or colleague laughing about me, yea my computer recorded the message. Their installers constantly quit because of the bad and unprofessional work they do. Their inspections have failed multiple times because of horrible work. The credit union has nothing to do with this company, but you are stuck with the bill and payments. I called the electric company to see if any options are available, but they said no. They did tell me that I would not see a saving going solar for 30 years minimum. It's a shame nobody stops these company.

A windy day, installation was a breeze

The team arrived, was greeted by my wife, and began to prepare the site for installation. After unpacking, they worked on the roof to set up the brackets, cables and rails. Finally, the electricians arrived and set up the panels, making the necessary alterations to get everything working. Finally, the panels were installed, and the team cleaned up and closed up. Altogether, it was over seven hours, but we have 43 panels ready for our power company to interconnect and turn on.

FIND SOMEONE ELSE. AT ALL COST DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

In the beginning it was oh so sweet. Anthony their representative was kind, Straight forward and to the point. My twin brother referred him to me because of his attitude toward the company. He is the only reason I am giving them 1 star. We sched to meet him on Sept 13th and signed the contract then and there. We got cold feet after doing more research and were going to back out but Tony swooped in and saved the day. I immediately started letting everyone know about Tony and within a couple weeks got 3 people signed up and one confirmed to install. The day came for the install on Oct 11th. 1 month later. Loan date begins. One thing they do NOT tell you about the install. We were set for 6 am and come to find out the way they find your studs is to take rubber mallets and pound the roof till they hear something hard. They then start drilling through your roof until they find it. They do not always hit their mark. I saw multiple times my guy missed and did not mark the hole. Oh well, maybe the solar panel will cover it. They finished by lunch but not the electrical. The electrician said they did not have part and he would be back within a week or so to install. Here is where the head does not know what the tail is doing. While this time goes on I get a message from the city that we did not pass inspection on Oct 21st??. So I called SunPro and they had no idea what I was talking about. They had me forward the email. Okay, So at this point I ask when will this be complete? They had no idea what I was talking about. At this point I asked again and agree, EVEN though they had the part, to wait till Nov 19th to finish my install. The FINISH date was set to Nov 19th. The day arrives and the electrician is there all day. For what? who knows, The first guy said all I needed was something on the outside. Whatever. It's done...... So I thought. I get ANOTHER email from the city on the 23rd that the application is incomplete...???? I call again and they have NO IDEA. They say they will figure it out and call me back. It takes them till NOVEMBER 30th to call me and tell that the electrical guy DID NOT FINISH AND THEY WANT TO SCHED ME TO FINISH ON THE 15th OF DECEMBER. THREE MONTHS AFTER CONTACT. I said no, That's enough and to have this other person call me ASAP. Well he did not have this other person call me. He called back and said they will be there tomorrow. IT IS NOW 04-12-2022 AND SYSTEM IS STILL NOT RUNNIING CORRECTLY..... RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THEM DO YOUR RESERCH. Once they have you, they have you. If I could at this point I would back out.

SunPro Solar - Absolute joke of a solar installer

My install started in October of 2021. It is April of 2022 and my system is still not operational. The permit has been rejected by the city twice. Currently there is not even an active permit submitted to the City. Did I mention I have been making payments on this system since January of 2022. Customer service is an absolute joke. Install was an absolute joke. At this point, if I could have it removed from my roof, I would.

Florida Solar Nightmare 50% Chance Happens to You

It is unfortunate to want to do solar and in the end be advocate to not get solar in Florida residential, your neighbors are horrified, and your stuck with a 20 year loan. Real ROI is like 23 years don't be fooled. FYI Solar in general is bad at residential level and new Florida net metering makes it useless. Get a Generator and Gas tank for backup power. Below is apparently common, educate yourself before signing anything. Company with beautiful brochures showed misleading advertising graphs (KW cost, national inflation), incorrect pricing parts, $3000 to cancel on 4th day if you do sign and figure out nothing matched salesman statements. SunPro came out to install, told twice this looks wrong by installer before they even started. 8+ trips to get system working over 6 months, then roof leaks. They use their own employees however they are untrained no idea what's going on. Brand new roof had leaking roof, inside with buckets and drywall falling, tracking tar and dirt in house, 3 more trips trying to caulk holes, replaced roof separate company, still left with $14K loan and partial solar. Apparently this is normal*, several company employees said they had 3 more problem appointments to fix other issues, not alone. Completely agreed it was a scam :/ They charged a premium for the most horrible service you could receive. No one at company knew what the other was doing, every person coming out had some new person with them training, technician shows up and would ask what they were there for. Took 2 months for them to even notice the solar was completely offline during roof repair. Loan for 8 panels was 14K, saves me $42 in electric bill and pay $52 on my loan. Something they wont say, your insurance will cost more and they don't cover it under hurricane deductible.

We have had a great experience so far from start to now, and I expect will continue for many years. Every one from my friendly sale guy Sergio Campos to Edgar. The work team were great and efficient. Looking forward to the new solar experience.

Incomplete project but paying for it

I signed the paperwork In October2021 and was told the solar system would be installed by the end of the year. It is now April and I am getting the run around as to why my system is not installed. I can not afford to pay double for my energy. So far I am $700 in the whole with no confirmation of an install date. Just that everything is ready to be PUT on the schedule. I am considering seeking legal advice to cancel the project and having to panels removed and seeking damages to my roof. I have called many times with ZERO results. If I don’t get answers very soon I will be contacting an attorney and the BBB

Solar Panels do not produce and no tax credit as promised

If we could give a zero we would. Let's just say they will definitely tell you what you want to hear in order to sell their product. For starters, one of their big sales pitch is you receive the 26% tax credit. They sale it to you as you get money back on your taxes and can apply this to your solar panels the next year which will lower your payments. This is the first LIE. It is a tax credit only, and if your not in the right bracket or have the right deductions, you do not benefit from this tax credit at all. We asked numerous times to clarify what the tax credit is and how it works. They adamantly tell you that you receive the money back. They even teach the salesman this (trust me, we know this first hand, as it was an acquaintance of ours who sold us the panels.) Now we are receiving nothing on taxes, therefore, our bill will remain $60 higher a month with nothing extra to pay it down. They will say their paperwork you signed states you "may" receive, however, they push hard with the salesman that you "do" receive. FALSE ADVERTISING Now that we have agreed upon a purchase prices and payments, with the understanding of the tax credit to lower our bill in a year, let's move on to a year later of having the solar panels. We were supposed to get at least 70% production. On a great day we have gotten 30%, average however is below 20% daily. We have saved hardly anything on our power bill having these panels. At this time, we are not benefitting at all by having these panels. I could go on with more issues we have had throughout this process, however, these are the two major issues. Very disappointed with this company. We recommended SunPro to family and friends, and in fact had a few people purchase from SunPro early on. At this point however, I can not and will not be recommending SunPro to anyone else and this is because they are not honest with their customers. We wish we would have never spent the money.

Run away

We started this Saga in July of 2021. We financed our panels and one of my concerns with financing was them putting a lien on my house. I was assured it wouldn’t happen. I read the paperwork and it indicated no lien. We went forward. The panels were installed. We were not able to get them working until February of 2022. I paid 2 bills the whole time. I was promised reimbursement which I have not received. In January we were in the process of getting a home improvement loan and found out a lien was entered on my house for the panels. I am livid. On top of that I have one panel that has never worked. The inspector entered a ticket but it has yet to be fixed. Don’t do it. Just run from this company. At this point I want the panels removed and to just go back to regular electric.
