SunOn Energy

We had lots of problems with getting out system up which too over 4 months and since then the lack of availability of the company has been more than disappointing. Customer service left when they let Larry, our salesman go. He was the reason we bought the system. He was ALWAYS available, NOT true with the company. Our AP system went down, calls were put into the company, several times, with no response. After talking with Jason after two weeks he said he would have Lisa schedule it!! That was 6 weeks ago. Since then we've had a major fire and have NO solar service during the most productive months of the year. We're out again for another year. This was a terrible investment or maybe it was just the wrong company.

My rationale for choosing SunOn was twofold: 1. After reading the glowing reviews and ratings for the company it seemed like a safe bet; 2. Their representative, Wakiza MacGregor, was so informative and helpful. He so patiently answered our questions and literally spent hours here explaining what SunOn would provide: their support policies, time estimates and costs. The installation process was achieved without a hiccup by experienced and knowledgeable employees who also demonstrated great patience with our solar ignorance and questions. Ours was an installation that entailed attaching the solar panels to a separate building and running a line from there to the house. This involved the digging of a trench for the conduit and subsequent closing of the trench. This was all included in the SunOn Energy contract. The entire process was completed with minimal interruptions to our household routine. One of the SunOn employees was so gracious and forgiving of our dog who jumped into the man’s truck and made off with the burrito he’d brought for his lunch. I know our dog would give 5 stars for that burrito alone. I would not hesitate to recommend SunOn Energy to anyone seeking to make the conversion to renewable energy.

My experiences were nothing but great with Sun On Solar. They did an excellent installation, very clean and neat work and no 'trails' left behind like some contractors seem to do. As an after thought and when the PG&E power outages did in fact become reality I asked to have a transfer switch installed into the system which they did. Now, I no longer will need to be in 'the dark' so to speak when PG&E decides to cut power. The system is working great and the transfer switch was installed as promised and looks good. I have not yet had the opportunity to try it out but am so glad to have it and feel better prepared for future outages and saving some hard earned cash with PG&E expenses and the inconvenient outages we are faced with now and into the future! The installers were very respectful, informative and CLEAN...a very good team of folks to have come to my home and 'fix us up'! I have seen other contractors who leave a trail behind them and I don't do trails...these guys were good and didn't leave a mess behind..that in itself is sincerely appreciated! Overall rating for SunOn = 10+. Thanks SunOn Energy!!!

After buying a house I got a bid from Mike on our solar project. We didn't have any PG&E history but Mike was able to factor everything in and get a system within our budget. He also gave me a great HVAC contractor referral to update our dated heating/ac. Once permits were approved the project was quick and painless. From laborer to electrician the crew was amazing. I believe it was a father/son team. Overall it was simple, efficient and on budget with no delays. I am enjoying watching my meter run backwards!
