Good company

From start to finish Sunny Energy took care of everything. Graham was our salesman. We had a telephone conference with him where he explained the system and the process with us. He was available throughout the process to answer questions. Sunny Energy emailed the quote that same day. We had several other companies give us estimates and explain their proposals. Sunny Energy had the best price and the best way to optimize the return of our investment. Throughout the process Sunny Energy took care of all the paperwork and permits necessary for our system. It took about 2 months from the sales meeting to installation. Two weeks after the system was up and running, Michael called and walked us through how to read and use SENSE and MY SOLAR EDGE. He sent us a copy of the Zoom session so we could review it later. We mentioned to him that we wanted the conduit in the attic or painted. They came out and did it as soon as they could. They were very pleasant about it. We decided to have it painted rather than being installed in the attic. The installers said if we changed our mind and wanted it to be put in the attic they would come back. Michael then called to check and see if we were satisfied. Last time I checked, SRP estimated that our bill would be around $185.00. Usually our summer bills are in the $300 to $400 range. Needless to say we are very happy with our decision to use Sunny Energy as our solar provider.

Sunny Energy Solar Installation

After Install: Ivan was fantastic! He explained the process without any overselling or overpromising. Any questions we've had have been answered quickly. We also had access to a website to monitor the progress of our solar throughout the process. Everyone involved has been knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We monitor my APS account, and have already seen a great reduction in our purchased energy. We highly recommend them. 3 Months In: Everything is going great. We've talked to several neighbors without solar and have been given information on previous AC bills at our current home. We've heard people paying between $600 - $700 easy with a home our size (2800 sq. ft.). We are a family of five. The kids are in online college/homeschool, and I'm a stay at home mom. So ... There is no "away" option when setting our thermostat. Bills before solar: April ($210) and May ($266 w/a few days of solar mixed in). Bills after solar: June ($127.84), July ($231), August ($247). We are looking at our largest bill in September. We may be on track for about $270. Our monthly solar payment is $221, and we know we're saving with solar. Before, we were scared of the costs for electricity we used between the peak times of 3p.m - 8p.m. After solar, we realized our panels produce the most electricity for us during those times. At first, we enjoyed APS buying (for less) our electricity during those times. Then, we decided to use our electricity for ourselves. We lowered our AC to more comfortable levels, and stopped sweating in our own home. If we left our thermostat settings the same (78 home/88 peak times), we would have even greater savings. We look forward to cooler temperature, so we can reap the rewards even more. If anyone is skeptical because of the monthly solar payment, just remember ... A car payment isn't cheap, but it costs less to get around in your own car all month (work/errands), then it would to pay for an Uber all month. It's an investment. At least, that's how we see it.

Delighted in all respects

We selected Sunny Energy after researching eight solar companies. We bought a 14 x 360W panel system, using a SolarEdge inverter. Their sales approach was forthright, without manipulation. Their pricing was not the cheapest, but fair. They communicated clearly and often. They did what they said they would do, promptly and professionally. We are delighted with the installation, and pleased to recommend them.

Great Price , Great Customer Service

I live in Phoenix area and have been taking quotes from various Solar Vendors including Tesla, SunRun etc. Comparing to these big players, I found the price very affordable. While Tesla had unbeatable price once upon a time, now they are mandating to buy a Powerwall which was adding a lot to the energy generation capacity showed. 1. Price For equivalent energy generation where Tesla quoted 28K, Sunrun quoted 23.5 K, Sunny Energy quoted 18.5 K 2. Customer Service I have a very bad experience with Tesla customer care even in the initial phase, Sunny Energy Sales and Support team responded very quickly. First thing is when you call Sunny Energy, a real person picks up the phone and talks to you. The response time was within a day. They give you a details of the proposal, walk you through the design, keep you updated on every stage of the progress. After installation, they also scheduled a zoom call with a person, who walked me through every aspect of the Solar including panels & their maintenance, the Meter box, customer care policy in detail. 3. Monitoring Sunny Energy website and the app is very good tool that gives you up to date information on how much energy is getting generated at any point in time, which could be equivalent to other players in the market 4. Value It has been hardly 20 days and the system has generated more than average power generation I would recommend Sunny Energy to anyone in the valley who is looking to go Solar

SunnyEnergy was my ultimate choice for solar due to their warranty being better than competitors and because they employ their installers, rather than subcontracting the work. Because of this, I felt they would hold themselves accountable and ensure the highest quality of work, which was evident throughout the process. It should also be mentioned that they communicated extremely well by email, text, and phone call throughout the project which was very much appreciated.

Exactly what I wanted

There are many, many solar companies in AZ but I chose Sunny based on the attentiveness of their salespeople and the positive reviews across many sites. The whole process was seamless and they were extremely communicative the entire time from start to end. Any questions I had both before and after purchasing the system were quickly answered. There were also multiple followups from the Sunny team after the system was live to ensure that everything was working correctly, looked good and I was satisfied with my system. Highly recommend!

Our friends referred us to Sunny Energy. We were introduced to their sales and technical team representatives. We were provided material on the products and services provided by Sunny Energy. Then, we asked to review the Costs and Contract. Those were provided for our review. The process was low key with no undue pressure. We liked the process and what we discovered, and so, decided to sign the contract and move forward with placing solar panels atop our roof. Throughout the process Sunny Energy staff communicated next steps and timelines. And, the solar panels look good and work great. Finally. did I mention the on-line monitoring tools and reports. They give us timely information and make us feel almost "techie."

Delivered system as Promised

I just had a 24 panel system installed on my roof. My salesman was knowledgeable and friendly. He outlined the process and schedule clearly. Someone contacted me at each step and the project was professionally completed on schedule. The gentleman who conducted the virtual walk through addressed all of my questions. Incidentally, my system actually performs a bit better than I expected! Kudos Sunny Energy!

Sunny Energy provided a pleasant experience. Everything was on track and the timelines they provided were fairly accurate given they’re not always in control. I always received follow up emails to update me on the next steps or the current status of the process. A great company

We are very enthusiastic about Sunny Energy. They gave us an excellent, informed presentation of the system they built for us, worked efficiently through all the stages of permits and documentation, installed the system quickly, and provide a convenient software system for monitoring our solar panels.

Use caution before commiting to Sunny Energy

Salesman was on the ball, quick to respond to any questions, and always available for a phone call. Admin kept me updated and emailed me documents almost daily. Engineering department seems to be lacking common sense, but I didn't find this out till the project was done. Installation department was fast, friendly, and appears to have done a nice job. I purchased and paid for a 5.85KWh system. After the system was installed and turned on I noticed it wasn't operating at full capacity. As it turned out, it was engineered with only a 5KWh inverter. That means the system I paid for can only ever operate at a maximum of 85%. Furthermore the small inverter will be running full bore at it's maximum almost daily. I communicated this to several people at Solar Energy, but always got a less then satisfying answer each time. "Our engineers know what they're doing. I'm sure you're just confused". "Solar panels degrade and put out less energy over time. Someday they will degrade enough that the inverter will be perfect for the panels". "It would cost another $18000 to fix this now. Unless you want to pay us, it is what it is". For this I would recommend you evaluate carefully before you commit to these people.

Excellent Friendly & Knowledgeable

How I came to know them is a little too long of a story for a review here. A Salesman had just left another company and told me he had signed up with Sunny Energy as they are the best here in Arizona. After doing hours of research into various companies, types of panels, size of system overall, financing and a dozen other questions, I decided Sunny Energy was my best choice price wise and reputation wise as well as the best warranty and customer service. I have been extremely please with their follow up, explanation of everything, how it all works, what to expect etc etc.

From the initial sales contact that we initiated to the process of getting permits, approvals and installation the process was smooth, the communication was excellent and the end result has been as expected and promised. The above and beyond follow-up after our system was installed was very much appreciated, our interactions with everyone at Sunny was always professional and the responses always prompt.
