Sunlight Solar Inc

Sunlight Solar was very helpful in answering all our questions and getting everything taken care of in a timely manner. Very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to save on their electric bill!

I would definitely refer anyone interested in roofing and solar installation to Sunlight Solar. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Scheduling was perfect throughout the process and clean-up during and after each stage of installation was awesome. Thank you Roxanne and all Solar Sunlight people!

Very pleased with our Enphase Solar System installed by Sunlight. James was awesome came out to give us a estimate looked overall pass bills and gave us a quote. We then wanted to revise the quote and add the backup battery storage. James, want to make sure we can get it done before the end of the year so that we wouldn't lose the tax credit. He was great helping us find funding. Our system has been installed now for about 5 months now. After the system was installed, James even came back to the house to show us how to use the app. I'm on the app daily checking what we're producing and sending back to SDGE. My past couple of bills are actually starting to show credits and my payment is waaayyy less then what we were paying. I would recommend Sunlight to anyone. 👍🏿

I chose Sunlight Solar, Inc. after researching a few solar panel companies and finding them to be good in follow up and pricing in comparisons. My solar panels were operational in 45 days from signing the contract with, salesman who explained everything in detail. Ramon, Operations and Engineering helped in design modifications to get optimum efficiency and HOA approval. Now 10 months passed very satisfied with the installation and performance. Nice to have negative electric bills. Courteous and efficient one day installation after they obtained all the permits. I recommend them and have referred them to friends and 2 neighbors because of the efficient performance. Those 2 neighbors projects completed on schedule too.

We had a great experience with sunlight. James Gregory was very professional and sold us just what we needed. The installers were right on time and they were friendly and professional. I would recommend Sunlight Solar .

On time, on budget and very accommodating

Had roof, solar, and some electrical done to my ex mother in laws home. Crews were fantastic at what they do. I had plenty of time to pick my roof color, had the most advanced solar panels, and they passed inspection the first time. Overall I was happy that my 84 year mom did not have to chase them down for anything. They made sure they called and checked in periodically which even made her more happy. Thank you Sunlight solar for a great job ! Well Done! Well Done!

Overpriced and poorly service

Please stay away from this company. I seriously doubt the reviews now though it was these reviews which made me select this company. The service is sub par. They did not update me during different stages of the installation. The worst was when I saw the total amount they charged me for an Qcell 365w 15 panel system with Enphase micro inverters. They charged me way higher then the latest 400 w panels. I regret selecting this company as now I learned that they charged me $7000 more than any other installer. Even after overcharging, I recently found that consumption meters which are normally installed by reputable companies (250-400 typically for a separate install) was not installed and they wanted an additional 600 dollars for the same. Please do your homework. Get multiple quotes for same model systems from same manufacturer. Don't get cheated by dishonest people!

Bad service and overpriced!

I thought they were an honorable company

I had my solar installed in 2017 and Sunlight Solar came out to give me an estimate and everything was explained in detail and written up which also involved of replacing the shingles and underpayment and installing new gutters. The reason for my two star review is that they are trying to charge me a transfer fee for the Warranty that I received for the roof as well as the Solar Panels and in my contract there was no mention of any transfer fees and I have since had to file a complaint with the BBB and leaving reviews in the hopes that the President Jeff Carelli will take care of this because I have left two Emails and all I get is an invoice for 200.00 to transfer the warranty which I responded with my contract where it stated that the warranty is transferable and I have left two Voicemails and still nothing, so much for customer service. Signed Chris B.

An Excellent job

Sunlight Solar delivered as promised, on time, nothing for me to do but sign the contract and wait while they went through the permit process. It was a good price. I paid $15,000 for 11 350w panels, before subtracting the $3,000 credit, The work was excellent - very neat appearing and secure and they were careful on the roof. I've had the system for 11 months, and it's doing a great job. The personnel were friendly and efficient and personable. It's delivering the power I expected. I do think they could have done a better job of researching my usage, as I think it might be better to have one more panel, but since my bill doesn't "true-up for another month, I can't say for sure. Jan, Feb and March 2019 have been very gloomy months!
