Install took 4 months to complete after collecting my downpayment. Installers and service uses classic contractor's trick of scheduling work on a day when rain is predicted, knowing they will not have to show up (but it looks like they are trying). Physical install was well done. System failed after about 2 months with output around 40% of capacity. Repair took 3 weeks (see "classic contractor's trick" above).

A winner with customer service

I'm very pleased with my SUNation installation. The process was painless from start to finish. What distinguishes this company from others is its customer service. When it became clear that the specific panel I'd chosen was on backorder at the factory, SUNation found an alternate supplier and even threw in a free extra panel for the delay. They also didn't balk at redrawing their plans slightly when I ended up having my roof replaced prior to installation. Installation was quick and painless--it took only 3 days and my power was only out for a short while. I've had the system for 6 months now and it's performing as anticipated (or even slightly better than quoted). I haven't had any maintenance or warranty issues. After-sales support has been excellent so far. There was a minor problem with the free monitoring system that they resolved for me in a few hours. They were also very quick in pulling up and emailing me records for tax purposes. All in all, a better experience than I expected, and the cost savings are spectacular.

Love My Solar!!!!

Who knows what I would have spent on LIPA bills the last 3 years!?!? I don't want to know. My bills are now $12.00-25.00 the most. Love it! The crew at Sunation was wonderful and they are there every step of the process. No worries, no stress on the project. They are very experienced and do a great job. I had the invertor monitor added so I can go online and see what my system is generating at any time. If I can ever afford it, I'd like to go for solar hot water next. Maybe one day, but for now, I'm so glad I did it. Go for it, you'll be glad you did!!

Top notch from beginning to end. Fantastic experience would recommend to everyone. They never pressured but kept me informed on all options. Took a year to decide but would not go with anyone else besides them

Efficient and friendly

Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, professional and aimed to make sure that every question I had was answered. They handled all the paperwork and all I had to do was sit back and watch it all get done. Can't wait for the first bill after my system is turned on.

I had asked for 2 more quotes from other installers. One company visited me and gave me a hand written quote and the other attempted to quote me over the phone. Sunpower came to my house, checked the site, gave me a written quote the next day, answered all my questions and generally conducted themselves very professionally. They were also very competitive in price. The installers were very friendly and explained the design and layout to my satisfaction.

I had a LOT of work done on my house that year. Sun Power was by far the best organized, professional contractor of the lot. NO surprises, a pleasure to do business with. I am happy to provide references for them.

no pressure in the sale,open agreement to back out anytime pryor to the instalation. Followed up several times after the instalation, including coming to the house to review the systems operation. I do feel that the pv system is costly, but only with the rebates could I have been able to afford it. I wish the government would have provided a low interest loan. The end result I`m glad I went foward to help set the example for change.

I highly recommend SunPower Systems, they did an excellent job on time at the original cost that was quoted. The system works for over 1 yr and supplies about 30% of my electric use. I am very satisfied with it.

We`ve made inqueries to have additional services performed and the contractor does not respond in a timely manner.
