I had my second install with Sunation yesterday at my new house. The team during and before the install were very helpful, professional and courteous. Gina was great! She was always there to answer my questions in detail through out the entire process. Anytime I emailed her I always received a professional and courteous response! What they promised was delivered. They developed a schedule that they kept to. They explained all of the components and all of the steps to get this project done and how long they will take. The Installers were fast and efficient cleaning up after themselves. The entire install took less that 5 yours. Very happy so far.

Sunation was an absolute pleasure to work with! From our initial consultation with Cameron, to agreeing on the perfect system and layout for our needs, to contract and financing, through install and post-install service, Sunation has delivered on what they promised, and did the work on time. The system was installed neatly (everything is labeled, and actually blends in with the roof and siding) and is leak-free (a few storms this summer helped us confirm this, LOL). Sunation walked us through every step of the process - permitting, PSEG net metering, permits, town electrical and building inspections, and our Certificate of Compliance - and was excellent in communicating the process and next steps. Our system has been in service for several months now, and is performing exactly as expected! Our electric bill has been between $12 - $14 per month (for the backup connection to the grid), and we have already developed a bank of kw credits from our system's production in excess of our use. Everyone we had contact with from sales to installation were extremely friendly and helpful. Due to issue with our existing roof we had to postpone the installation 1yr and Sunation honored the original quote, no questions asked. Due to Covid-19 supply shortages they had to substitute panels to a different manufacturer which required additional panels which they provided at no extra charge, increasing my total output an extra 400 watts. Sunation handled all the paperwork and made for a smooth and speedy process from start to finish. 100% satisfied.

Sunation's community solar program on Long Island is an excellent program for anyone who wants to do the right thing and/or save money. Large-scale installations are more efficient and easier to maintain. Great program.

Did a thorough background check on several companies and was most impressed with Sunation. Their price was competitive and the salesman provided multiple options to meet our needs

We were told that we would get the system installed by 2020 and receive the 2020 credit. Fast forward to March, still waiting for installation. After we paid the deposit in September, pretty much radio silent through February. We would have gone with a different company who told us they would write off the difference if not installed in time, now we have to eat the cost. Unless you get the promised work/timeline in writing, otherwise do not make any payment.

Full Disclosure – this is a lengthy read: On 11/20/2019 SUNation called to say that my SolarEdge inverter hadn't been communicating with its monitoring system since November 7th. I checked my Sense monitoring system and could see that the system was in fact producing electric, and everything was working as designed. I even took a quick look at available data on my PSEG account to confirm that things were working as intended. When the SUNation technician arrived the next day, he explained that the system wasn't communicating efficiently with its monitoring system and he would replace the parts that were defective. After changing the antenna and the GSM board and performing additional troubleshooting, still no communication. He then replaced another SolarEdge component and, still no communication. He advised that the activation code was the wrong code. A new code was needed from the manufacturer and it would take 24-48 hours. All good, except the system was no longer working: Excess electric was not routing to PSEG. What was working when he arrived (allegedly inefficiently), now wasn't working at all. What ever happened to “Do No Harm!” On Nov 22, I was told by SUNation that it could be 7-10 days before a code is received and the system is back online. There was a chance that the replaced components would begin communicating, but it wasn’t certain. An alternative would be for SUNation to temporarily attach a device directly to my home Wi-Fi router, which I promptly rejected due to security concerns and a vague explanation of what was being attached. If the inverter needed a Wi-Fi signal, I could provide a SID and passcode. Really? Seven to ten days? Why weren’t the replacement parts tested and certified before being placed into service? Especially when those parts are dependent of activation codes. And, if the system hadn’t been communicating since November 7th, why did it take 14 days to discover the issue? The system was installed in March 2019. More and more I have less and less confidence in my decision to use SUNation. Learn from my mistake.

I got 5 estimates from different company’s and most prices were close. Sunation instilled the most confidence , and were the most honest I was surprised how other companies were so deceptive.

The rep John came and had a proposal done based on my request. He set up an inspection to check readings and access. We then got together and he had a proposal we were happy with. Permit got through quick, Panels are up. Installation crew was very neat and clean. I am a Kitchen remodeler and I like the work a lot, as well as leaving the jobsite clean. Best yet is they quoted an 81% energy production and after 3 weeks we are slightly over 100%. Great company!

Installation is highly professional. Rob, the installer, had high standards and made sure all the details are proper. Follow through by SUNation team have been excellent. I got my first bill of $12.88 - PSEG service charge only, $0 electric charge. Instead I got 700 kwh credit that I can use any time for the first month. Very satisfied to see constant energy production working for me for many years to come.

Had my system installed 6 years ago. Was promised 10,200 kwh per year and the system is spot on. Slight degradation, but expected. Happy from start to finish and for many years after.

Top Notion Company All Around. Best Solar Company On Long Island. SUNation sold and installed our system 2 years ago this month. They did such an awesome job. They stand by their installation and products. We have a minor iusse just recently and with no question fixed the issue on site and upgrade the service for our solar all for free. Hard to find a company to stand behind their product after two years. They did is with stellar performance.

The process from beginning to end was quite easy and absolutely worth it. I no longer receive an electric bill, except for the $0.40 per day line usage fee. I had the system up since August 8th 2019 and it has produced 2.63 Mwh of electricity, exporting back to the grid 1.09 Mwh as a credit for future use in case of cloudy, snow and shorter sun days in the winter. There was only one day so far that they produced less than I used. It was 85 deg's cloud rainy and very humid. I understand each application of the panels will be different for everyone, but not having to pay PSEG $233 per month, which is a lot more than what I am paying for the panels, is great. I really encourage everyone to at least see if this is for you. They do not employ high pressure sales tactics and really do understand the needs of New Yorkers. Also they are a local Long Island business, not some company from out west that has been in business for 6 months.
