Solar Water Heater and Photovoltaic Panels

Jeremy was conscientious about every detail. He did not try to sell us features we did not need or add panels that would have done little good. He was knowledgeable about what he was doing. He even worked extra to get the system running in time to be eligible for the tax rebate program.

Excellent - Zero Pressure - Thorough

We are so happy we chose SunWind Power to install our solar panels. We spent months researching before contacting three installers, so we thought we had a good handle on questions to ask and the pro's and con's. Jeremy at SunWind was so helpful and showed us that we had only scratched the surface of all the things to consider. He educated us and never tried to sell anything. My very conservative business partner needed to have complete confidence before signing off. SunWind made sure we had a thorough understanding of all the options, quality differences between panels and inverter types, even the differences in flashings and wind loading. You name it they covered it. We couldn't be happier, especially since we no longer have an electric bill.

I am very pleased with my experience with SunWind power and impressed by the system`s performance. I would recommend SunWind as much for their use of high quality equipment as their excellent service. The only incentive was the 30% tax credit so there was no front end incentive. Without it, I still would installed the system but it wouldn`t have been as big. Also my contractor would have arranged the final utility inspection but I preferred to do it myself.

This was written by my wife for use on SunWind`s website: we began building our home. At that time it was our plan to incorporate solar into the design. Solar was relatively new for individual homes, and the cost was high! Instead, we insulated our home to the max, which meant we did not have the $ 400 to $ 700 heating costs our friends had. But the dream to go partially or completely solar did not die… it sat there in the shadows, only to be brought up each time something would come up in the news or on the television. This simply served to fuel our thoughts that possibly… someday… we could do something to get back to that dream. Fast forward to 2009 – and finally we’re to a place where we either continue to throw money out to the energy companies and have nothing to show for it, or we start looking. We began to read everything available on solar systems, panels, heating, air conditioning, whatever we could find. We looked for energy alternatives, went to the Home Show in Louisville, and finally got with someone who knew what they were talking about. That someone was Jeremy Coxon of SunWind Power Systems. Today we have 22 panels supporting about 40% of our energy usage, and one large panel for our brand new water heater. When the sun is out, the water is HOT! While we continue to conserve like we have all our lives (and maybe even more because of the energy tricks Jeremy taught us), that little wheel on the electric meter sometimes runs backwards, and we do not tire of watching how much energy we have collected each day. We can even get on the computer and monitor it. We love the thought of being on the grid and being paid back for unused energy we’ve collected. ! (And the panels blended in so nicely that it did not take way from our home in the woods.) Are we glad we waited ? Yes. Energy conservation is now available for what some pay for a new car. Solar is now more affordable, and the trial and error is over. We got much more for our dollars today than we could have dreamed of 32 years ago, and it’s paying us back! The best part is that we now have a partnership with SunWind Power Systems. They will be looking out for us this year, next year, and in the future. It’s the honesty and friendship you truly wish you could find in a dealer or contractor. They are there for us every step of the way, always going the extra step. Even last December they were working in the cold weather helping us to make the deadline of year’s end for the 30% tax credit. We’re planning to use part of it to get our new energy saving heat pump! Do we recommend SunWind Power Systems ? ABSOLUTELY is the only answer we would give everyone wishing to learn about solar or wind power and having a contractor they can trust. They gave us everything needed to make our dreams come true. Thanks Jeremy! I think you can see how pleased we are with SunWind. I am not sure whether or not we would have installed the PV panels if we did not have the Federal Rebate. I know it has enabled us to install the panels and use the rebate to install geothermal, so it was a factor in our decisions.

Jeremy Coxon is great! He has his heart into helping the environment and I would highly recommend him for Solar work. He is in the process now of getting my Solar PV System installed. I was willing to make the investment in Solar to do my part to help the environment and the reliance on coal for electricity.
