Spring Solar

Poor Support

We had our Solar installed 5 years ago. We had the garage section reshingled prior to the placement of the solar panels so it would already be done when the remainder of the roof would need to be done in the future. Spring Solar contracted with R&JL to install the Certainteed shingles for us. Everything was done in a timely manner! We were never provided any documentation for the roofing project. It is now 5 years later and time to reroof the remainder of the house. To our surprise the garage area that was reroofed is failing. The loss of granules and poor installation are now requiring us to replace the complete roof again. We tried to file a warranty claim on the Certainteed shingles that have only been on the roof for 5 years, but because we have no proof of any original receipts and dates we can not file a warranty claim. So we are paying again to have the Solar panels removed and replaced again along with the additional roofing. If you do this be sure to get all documentation in case there is a claim!! I guess you live and learn the hard way. Its really not Spring Solars fault that the shingles failed but we didn't receive any back up info for our records. We have not been able to monitor the power usage and the power produced for over 3 years. When we reached out to Spring Solar knowone is willing to walk us through setting things up again. We reached out to original installer and had him come out to help us costing $150 an hour. It didnt work he dcouldnt make it work. So there you have it ! We are not able to track anything.
